I might go for a small stake in this ICO, seeing as it looks like a legitimate effort with some potential.
Is there a minimum amount of total BTC to be raised so that the ICO is considered successful vs canceled/refunded?
Cheers

I'm also on the ranks of people disappointed with this project.

@Ethought, while I don't doubt your good intentions in earlier posts, I fear that you're just being led on by a scam artist at this point.

@Jdj1727, best of luck there. Personally, I'd take my chance with whatever are the orders left on exchanges. I'm done with keeping an eye on projects that are abandoned after the developer has filled his pockets. All set and ready for a later revival, takeover or what not, I have seen this movie too many times by now.

If Joe shows up and makes good on his promises for Sapience, I'll be very happy for everyone that endured. Sadly, I don't see any slim chance of this ever happening. I will allow for some time to see where things are in a few weeks, and then decide if/what legal action is appropriate.

Best of luck to all!

Thanks smooth (and Arux for the win bins!)

What about unbanning the offending peers? Will the bans have some automatic expiration time, or is there some manual process by which one can clear the active bans? I'm thinking that some expiration time would be reasonable, as the ideal situation is that all those peers eventually get upgraded, though I'm assuming these are not malicious nodes.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON -- MANDATORY UPDATE, HARD FORK BLOCK 592000 (approx 2015-08-04) on: August 06, 2015, 09:07:16 AM
Windows binary built by Arux available here:

https://github.com/iamsmooth/aeon/releases/tag/ip_ban_test1

Please test and report any issues.

@smooth,

I'm running these now to see how the IP banning is working on Windows.
After a couple of minutes running the daemon, I've seen the offending peers getting dropped a couple of times, but so far, they look to be coming back. Could you briefly describe what to expect when this version encounters a bad peer?

Such as:
 - Bad peer connects and sends invalid blocks, get's dropped.
 - After X connect/drop cycles for a given bad peer, the IP is banned for Y amount of time.

EDIT: Patience pays off  Grin Just seen the following message:
2015-Aug-06 10:08:00.568484 [P2P7]Ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx blocked.

Is http://aeonpool.mooo.com/ on the correct chain? My miner says it's detecting new blocks and finding shares, but the front page says no block found for an hour.

This pool has what looks like the correct info on the front page: http://52.8.47.33:8080/

You probably just need to do a proper browser refresh. I've seen pool stats not getting updated often (browser fault?).
Mooo's pool is definitely on the correct chain, and it has found a few blocks since the fork (current round is an unlucky one though, at ~40 minutes at the moment).
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: August 04, 2015, 12:14:36 PM
@FreeJack2k,
I really hope it works out that way. If I understand correctly, Black Friday is *the* most significant retail event in any given year. Would be a shame if Ziftr did not seize such a massive chance for spreading the word and reaching critical mass awareness.
I have to imagine that they are making all possible efforts to meet the opportunity, but it would be great if we had any sort of "official" updates by their team in the meantime.

Before I clicked on "post", I took a quick read through the Ziftr blog, as I recall having read some mention about Black Friday when I was first getting familiar with Ziftrcoin. This is the relevant blog entry:
http://blog.ziftr.com/2015/03/12/your-ziftrcoin-questions-answered-coin-giveaway-1-minimum-redemption-value/

Unrelated: I'm still waiting on some feedback to a question I had posted long ago, don't think I ever got an answer:
Is Ziftr working on reaching EU markets and merchants early on, or will this be pushed at some latter stage, or never? I'm hopeful that I'll get to use my ZRCs in purchases, rather than just playing the exchange markets, but I'm wondering if (at least initially), the adoption efforts are only focused on the US.

Cheers!

@adhitthana

You absolutely have to set a Payment ID when you transfer coins between exchanges. If you don't, the receiving exchange will not be able to unambiguously identify your deposit, and you have a likely chance of loosing the transferred coins.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 02, 2015, 09:17:25 AM
@RandomNoob:

How about commenting out (or temporarily removing):
block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493

I don't recall ever seeing these parameters before, so I guess they look alien to me.
Other than that, do you have a sync'ed wallet?
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 01, 2015, 11:17:50 PM
its rpcport=

Had that from the start.  No luck.

I'm not sure I read your response right.

To be clear:
First, your port=X , must have a different value from rpcport=Y.
Secondly, your cudaminer launch, must then point to port "Y", not to port "X". The miner connects to the rpcport, not to the port. Hope this made sense...

The only other suggestion I have is to add listen=1.
Good luck!
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: July 29, 2015, 10:13:07 PM
@sp_ :

I'd advise looking at PoW reward schedules on a coin before committing time to something that is just about done and over with.
I respect your work and whatever you decide to publish, but in this particular case, I think people are just setting themselves up for disappointment. The PoW blocks were 50 coins per block a day ago, now sit at 25 coins per block, and it will be 10 coins per block in little over a day. I don't think anyone will find a Pot of Gold at the end of this Rainbow, but anyhow, I wish everyone the best of luck.   Roll Eyes

If your comment about the BTC 3++ private kernels concerned me, as I was quite public about selling: I did close deals on a private version, with a total of 4 people at 0.5 BTC each (roughly matching my initial quote to the developers to open source it). That's it, and I closed sales at that point. I'm rather frustrated that something that could have sustained decent returns for a few lucky people, will quickly turn into 0 returns for just about everyone. The usual, to be perfectly honest.  Undecided

[...] you had an opprtunity to rape the coin THEN give the miner when rewards dropped and u woulda been a hero with many valuable coins and much love from the coin heads

instead u tried to squeeze every penny from every angle u could

now everyone knows

I would suggest you re-read what you stated above. Perhaps, read it a couple of times.

So in your words, I would be a hero, for raping the coin in private during the high returns, then dumping the miner on the masses for the shitty returns. Awesome morals right there...

I am then an asshole (or whatever random insult), for having sold a miner to 4 people. "Squeeze every angle I could".
By "every angle", know that 4 people got it. Wow, I must be the most greedy fucktard that ever lived. Cheers.

Enough posting from me here, the place is rather toxic and there's much better things to do.
Have a good one all, I do hope this coin does well. Moving on.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash and SHABAL-256 with Schnorr Signatures - POW / POS on: July 29, 2015, 01:42:53 PM
@MickGhee:

Would appreciate if you would stop making judgment calls over a sequence of events that you seem to have gotten all wrong.
Again, I exchanged a couple of PMs with the devs, in an attempt of negotiating a bounty to make the GPU miner open sourced. The devs did not agree to as little as trusting that I had a working miner, regardless of my attempts to exhibit whatever proof was asked of me. They could have simply put on escrow an agreed upon value, to be released upon code review.

To the arm-and-leg greed and claims of extortion: re-reading the IRC chat had me realize that I did fail the math when asked about it this morning. I calculated that to earn the same, I'd need the amount from sales to refund the buyers, and again the same value to open source it (which would make me earn twice as much). This was not intentional, and with that, I inadvertently doubled up the BTC cost on that chat. I blame the lack of coffee as I had just waken up, believe what you will.

Ultimately, the "unreasonable demand" that you're seeing, misrepresents my initial offer to the dev team, which they had ample time to agree upon. Should you insist on making false claims, I will post the full sequence of PMs for clarity. The time I've wasted on this by now, is hardly worth any returns I'd ever possibly have out of it, so I kindly ask that you take it easy.

Best of luck.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] CPU Only AxiomMemHash + SHABAL-256 - Schnorr Sigs - POW - DPOS - Bittrex on: July 29, 2015, 11:46:03 AM
While I confirm the words on the IRC paste just posted, I do not appreciate the clear dump of what was a private chat exchange.
I'm a serious person anyhow, no more private miner sales, I would appreciate people stop sending me PMs.

I would have much preferred agreeing on a bounty to make the miner open source.
I think it was pretty clear that I took various efforts to that purpose. Unfortunately, it did not work out.

To those that are worried that GPU miners will suck out the value on this coin: The GPU miner on the 750 ti, has about 5x the performance of a desktop i7. While it earns decent profits, it is hardly world shattering. There's people running higher gains on CPU due to 0 electricity costs, mining early, botnets, etc.

I've got a busy day ahead, so will not be posting further here for a while. Cheers.

yey hits possible miner gpu for : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135151.640

Xccel, that private miner is sold out. You might be able to convince/hire a dev to make another one for you though.
No more PM's stating interest please. My PM inbox just got a headache  Grin

does it work or are u an xmr bagholder afraid of what this can do

Hah, funny MickGhee. I am a very happy bagholder, thank you  Grin
I hope this coin goes places! I have been mining almost since launch (just with CPU at the time) ...

well let me try it

Sorry, sales are now closed.  Wink

What is the current total hashrate, in kh/s ? suprnova pool reports 125kh/s which is obviously wrong.

Tough to tell, but suprnova.cc found 20 of the last 52 blocks with 125 kH/s, so that about 320kH/s for the network. Very rough numbers, for obvious reasons.

Aren't those blocks intermixed with PoS?
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] CPU Only AxiomMemHash + SHABAL-256 - Schnorr Sigs - POW - DPOS - Bittrex on: July 28, 2015, 11:19:55 PM

2.57M after 3 months heading into the 2nd high dpos phase
[...]

You got me there, OP text is misleading. I vote for an OP cleanup  Grin
Look at the graph. The 2nd stage of high rewards in ~3 months, is not just PoS. It is also PoW.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] CPU Only AxiomMemHash + SHABAL-256 - Schnorr Sigs - POW - DPOS - Bittrex on: July 28, 2015, 11:11:06 PM
POW will soon end only 44k Axiom remains for miners. Can we talk  about 2nd high dpos phase and  Schnorr Sigs.

Thanks

You should re-read the op, look more carefully at the emission schedule...
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] CPU Only AxiomMemHash + SHABAL-256 - Schnorr Sigs - POW - DPOS - Bittrex on: July 28, 2015, 11:00:30 PM
Please create a worker on one of the pools and allow us to see for ourselves?
And prove to what ? he can made a high speed worker with proxy+lots of cpu... Roll Eyes

We would like to see a worker with that hash before we take any time away from what we're currently working on.

AxiomCryptocurrency,

I switched my worker to public (was previously anonymous), but the single pair of cards that I have running, earn me a hashrate of about 660 h/s. I don't think I make the top 15 chart, I have the same username as on here. What else would you require then?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm on suprnova.

Edit again: Why don't you shoot me a user.worker & password for suprnova, or any pool, and I aim my miner there for you? ... Then you get a proper dashboard and stats.
