it gives me an error.
Says that the wallet address is wrong.
Thats what I get in a log file

yeh, for any normal user noone will buy it. Even high end cad developers are going to be better off buying 4 gtx 780Ti's and still save some money

their aimed at the people that don't know tech and just buy the most expensive because the higher the price, clearly the higher the performance

Who's that "normal user" that's buying 3.000 USD graphics cards?  Grin
In practice, the "most-powerful-single-card-possible", is very useful in configurations where you're either physically constrained (no room for more than 1 double-height card), or constrained by power availability (if you can't feed any more than the typical ~250W TDP). One such example is any Mac Pro user that has stuck with the older generation Macs, for the sake of upgradability.

Exactly my thoughts. It is easier to get as many people as possible on a p2pool boat early, and it would be a big plus for XMR on the long run if it becomes part of the "community culture".
One could also set up something like http://blisterpool.com/p2pdonate to make it more profitable than any other pool, assuming people donate enough. Which I'm sure they'd do because as you said the community here seems extremely passionate.

If mining proceeds are "dusty" now, imagine with a P2Pool type arrangement.
This will require some deep thinking from the smartypants here  Wink , and will probably need to have the dust problem addressed with current pool code 1st.

(No, I do not want dust in my pizza ffs!)

what does the true stand for?

"true" = unlock for staking only

If "true" is declared, the wallet allows minting/staking to happen, but any spending will require the password to be input again.
If "true" is not declared, the wallet will instead be fully unlocked, allowing transactions to be executed without further password input.

EVEN WORSE: they may be preying for your pizza!

Pretty sure that I'd get perma-banned from the forums if I voiced my "appreciation" for you right now!  Angry
Next auction (the one for tacos?), I'm buying you one, free, I'll be asking 0 moneros for it. You shall eat it! Oh yes you will!

Ah rats! I'll never get over this, damn it!  Cheesy

When I download and try to install the wallet from gethub binary I get "Error loading blkindex.dat".  Any ideas?

Hi there!
I suppose you need to cleanup from the previous version. I'd suggest that you make a backup of your wallet, then delete all files from the /roaming/cachecoin folder (except wallet.dat, again play safe with your wallet file!), then run the latest binary. This will net you a fresh peer list, and obviously, will have you sync'ing the blockchain again.
Good luck!

Everything ok with Blockchain? I see like one block per day or less, whats going on?

The person who manages the explorer is away for a time being. He said he'll be back sometime this week

Adding to Kalgecin's statement:
Note that there was a recent wallet update. You're observing incorrect stats, because the explorer is outdated.
As Kalgecin already mentioned, the explorer should be fixed soon.

PS: If you're running a CACH wallet, make sure you've got the latest!

How do I turn the main graphics card but leave the other cards running when mining ?

in the read me files  it tells how

Both ccminer and cudaminer take a flag to select which nvidia devices to mine with.
The default is that the miner will run on all available cards.

To mine with card 0 only, in a multicard setup, use:
Code:
-d 0

To mine with cards 1 and 2 (leaving card 0 available for gaming for example), use:
Code:
-d 1,2

Pretty much self explanatory from here.  Smiley Cheers!

Hi,

Can someone tell me whats happening to my balance?
My balance is currently staking in the v5.0.2 wallet but does not seem to ever complete sync. (Connected to network w/ 2 active connections) When I migrate to the v5.3 wallet, it shows zero balance w/ nothing in stake.
I've also tried starting the v5.3 wallet with -reservebalance, but still nothing...

explorer.cachecoin.org/address/CdnDi8pY5ieNG5GNC2sXd5oHhygQU3AoYG

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi mojojojo173,

I think you should definitely see your balance restored with the 5.3 wallet, granted that you've finished sync'ing. As you were on a fork with the 5.0.2 wallet, you probably need to delete the blockchain in order to resync properly (just make sure you have a backup, and don't ever ever delete your wallet)  Wink

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes...

It's a tactical decision to hold. And it's unwise to do that during a downward trend.
[...]

Absolutely! The critical point I was making, is making sure that your tactical decisions take into consideration your own weight into that "downward trend".  Grin If you alone (or your group mining operation) can drive the price down, you are the trendsetter!  (just stop sending it down   Roll Eyes)

Edit: Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody's gone one! I just want to add that I've been known to be wrong (many times), so not trying to push my own judgement here. I'm just thinking that this group of green machines should figure out ways to cooperate to everyone's benefit, instead of stepping into one another's toes.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 06, 2014, 09:08:13 PM
yes we have cryptonote in a ccminer internal build, getwork JSON 2.0 API only (no stratum) but releasing it would cut into our profits.

Christian, for everyone's sake, I kindly request that you'd avoid dumping all those moneros (assuming that's what you're mining) as soon as you see that your proceeds are 'flooding' the market (meaning, in case that you reach a point where you alone are driving the price down).
If and once you reach that point, you're much better off sharing the miner with everyone & holding the remainder of your stash, and reap the benefits later on, after the nethash increases and allowing for demand to stabilize.

The only reason I bring this up is that I'm worried that you might just have too much of the nethash to allow for a stable exchange rate. Maybe I'm overestimating it, anyways, figured worth sharing these thoughts. I would want to mine monero in order to hold some, so I would be diminishing demand (however insignificant my influence would be  Cheesy), which contributes to your current stash to become more valuable.  Smiley
With monero specifically, I think many others would do the same as me (holding), given the chance to mine with nvidia.

spot and higly tuned (modified) miners.

Ah! Now it makes sense. I was "calculating" that even with spot instances, one would hardly make a profit right now, but I suppose that a few days ago, and with miner tweaks, you'll be having a blast  Wink

1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 06, 2014, 07:35:11 PM
people are launching 1000's of AWS instances at it, be warned.
btw we play at similar scales now. cpu+gpu hybrid.

Christian, on cryptonote, is it worthwile using regular aws instances, or were you really going for spot instances (better priced)? Hybrid heh?! Still hoping you'll get around to get ccminer on cryptonote, would be very much worthwhile if the performance is 2x i7-4770 or any higher.

Happy profits  Wink

no much luck at the moment with the new(est) crytptonote Aeon, not a single block

Should I try my luck too when the fastest instaminer in the whole cryptoworld even failed,  djm34?  Grin

Totally pointless! If djm34 is not getting blocks, no1 else will get them!  Grin

ok, got reply from Support, nothing with Poloniex. It looks like the CACHE Block Time is 1 Block per Day atm...

Hi jadefalke,

Poloniex is running the outdated cache wallet. A hardfork occurred a few days ago, and from what I understand, Poloniex were contacted to update, but have not acted on it yet. The updated clients are running fine and PoW blocks are being generated at the typical rate.

I can only suggest that you insist with them to get their wallet updated...

Hi,
MRC and CACH use the same setting. I use --launch-config t5x24 -L 2 -b 4096 and got 9.5khs per card. Maybe you could squeeze out a little more (1khs max) if you have time to finetune but think that 280x only get 16-17 khs, this number is fair. From N=13 is really where nVidia shines. The distance with AMD is always shorter.
Some number for you to compare:
N12: 280x 56khs - 750ti 23khs
N13: 280x 17khs - 750ti 9.5khs
N14: 280x 4khs - 750ti 3khs
Regards,

Many thanks AizenSou. I tried your settings, both with uppercase and lowercase T, as well as with various lookup gap sizes, no luck. Your settings as posted, produce the dreaded "result does not validate on CPU" message (or something along those lines), while variants got me crashing the driver right after launching.

As I check my performance over the last 24 hours, a 3x 750ti rig is averaging at about 27.7Kh/s with my settings, so I suppose very very close to what you're reaching as well. Here are my settings in case they help anyone else (and might be worth you checking them out also just in case):
Code:
-i 0 -L 4 -l T5x12

That's Win8 x64, latest official cudaminer release (28-02), nvidia drivers 337.88.

Happy Mining,
~ Myagui
