Hi everyone. Over at Venusian Arts we've taken notice of your new "Bitcoin" currency.

The $30 price point, reached earlier this year, was a little bit concerning to us, but now it seems to have leveled out, so I went ahead and added "Buy Now with Bitcoin" links to our sales pages for our ebook and our dvd set. (Hopefully the wild swings in BTC price are done, since our interest is in using it as a currency, not as an investment vehicle.)

http://www.venusianarts.com/

If this works out, then I'm going to add "Bitcoin Buy Now" links for our seminars and live trainings as well. Thank you all for your efforts in bringing us a payment processor for the future, since everyone knows that merchant accounts suck balls.

Bit Pay is doing awesome things for Bitcoin, unless Mystery approached them himself, then I respect him even more, if that is possible.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John C Dvorak poo poos bitcoin on: October 24, 2011, 05:34:52 AM
Dvorak is a loud smart idiot.  He knows how to get attention without having to pay too much attention to the details, which isn't always bad, some people should have that type of view in life, that general sweep of things rather than looking in depth.  As long as you know this about him, he is entertaining.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING Scammer hosting litecoin.info and litecoin.org on: October 24, 2011, 05:22:41 AM
If they edit his scammer tag to include the litecoin domains as possible scam front, I would be more than happy with that.
Yes, connect his scammer tag to something unrelated  Roll Eyes

This whole thread around a hundred views, most of which is just the people in this thread alone, I know I hit F5 on everything multiple times because of ocd, at whatever clock in the morning when people are recovering from their weekend or asleep already  Cheesy     You are well on your way to becoming a PR king like Bruce Wagner Wink
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING Scammer hosting litecoin.info and litecoin.org on: October 24, 2011, 05:06:38 AM
Reported thread just to get this personal spam out of here, I guess it is up to mods to decide whether this thread has any relevance to alternate currencies or this is some weird thread to get everyone to judge terrytibbs a certain way, as though the label under his name is not sufficient, even though the forum mods seem to think so, but I guess you know better then them chieffery.

"thinks he has better moral judgement than this entire community"

Says the old user under an alternate new user name who makes threads telling us all to judge people lol
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING Scammer hosting litecoin.info and litecoin.org on: October 24, 2011, 04:55:52 AM
The binary may not be hosted there, but the main download link is.
The main download link as far as I can tell is in the Litecoin thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=47417.0, I pull my downloads from https://github.com/coblee/litecoin/downloads    I do not use the urls you listed or give them out based on the creator of the coin having the ability to update that thread more often than the page.   Also, did you not already include all this information in the thread?

Believe me when I say I have read the issues regarding his tag, my personal opinion is it should stay on him, but that is just based on reading random threads that people kept linking.   Still, not the time or the place, and definitely not related to the sites where litecoin info is hosted.   If that was the case, then MagicalTux would have a scammer tag for hosting bitcointalk, the birthplace of all the Bitcoin scams.

Edit:  When I was replying you seemed to have replied.

1 - Fuck off, you can be polite.    So basically any site that links to the github page is up for your attack?  Or wait, any page that terry links to anywhere is up for your attacks?  Or excuse me, not attacks, your great service of passing on information you have already given and he has a damn label everywhere he types here.

2 -  You do have a personal vendetta, meaning you are personally taking it upon yourself to carry on this issue.

3 - Good for him, I disagree
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING Scammer hosting litecoin.info and litecoin.org on: October 24, 2011, 04:46:36 AM
Terrytibbs a known/labeled scammer is hosting these domains.

No files are hosted on those domains, please lock thread or at least edit to include relevant information.

I am working on a Litecoin page that will be like a weusecoins.com, that will not be updated often, will host minimal info, but it will solve the terrytibbs issue I have noticed come up a couple of times, giving people an alternate url to throw to people.  More people and pages will come, but this thread was unnecessary for your personal vendetta.

Nice use of the Tweet comment button
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: October 24, 2011, 04:14:59 AM
When the client is ready enough to accept more users, I think that GUI built in is going to be necessary.

I think a big draw to digital currencies like these was the ability to mine from your home computer.  That ability to do anything you wanted just using your computer.  Bitcoin and pools have taken this out of the hands of the casual user.  CPU mining I felt kind of put it back on more even grounds than video card wars, so if people had that built in, it would be good.  I know the majority of the users here live and die in command line operation systems, but when everyone is done hoarding and ready to accept the general populace, a proper built in miner with options would be good.

Having pool options I guess could be necessary, using SolidCoin's drop down as an example, I would not include the names of any specific pools at all and rather just link to a landing page set up to pull recent pool info and activity.

Also, make a feature to stop the client from freezing my computer Wink
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me pick the Litecoin logo! (final round between 2 logos) on: October 24, 2011, 03:54:11 AM

Cheesy That about sums up half the time I spent on the coin, putting pictures behind it, think less lizard and more nipples though.

Didn't Steve Jobs make it into the coin code?   Maybe Gates needs love too, with the limited edition Windows XP Clouds Wallpaper Litecoin

Below is a fully transparent png that you can layer over whatever you would like to see how it looks over any color.  Of course it will look a light blue or silverish hue because of the default forum colors.

Examples of it over many things

Example of it over "Kano Silver" Wink

Finally, psd file with all the above options plus the ability to make your own background http://www.mediafire.com/?icw5ek51e939wgy

People into marketing might want to keep in mind the unique ability for this coin to adapt to whatever use you want to, as seen my previous versions of the coin

I still like my b&w sunflower with out the "litecoin" text Smiley

This almost got my vote, I still like the arcade literally lite see through token idea I have, but I am the minority it seems  Cheesy .  The flower design is just clean and interesting looking for a coin I think.  I like someones idea where it could be the back of a coin.

Also, if someone seriously was going to make a physical clear coin, still make it, I want one lol
432  Economy / Services / Bitcoin Ads - Pay Per Click - Who is currently available? on: October 22, 2011, 09:09:28 AM
I am looking and seeing Operation Fabulous as the best option so far.   I pull 2000 uniques a month doing nearly no updates, triple that page views, with my top month having 58000 uniques and 13000 views, but I was doing updates more often then.   Should I just ask to see if someone wants to buy ad space directly?  I would honestly like to support the use of btc ad services like Operation Fabulous if they are working well and I am able to track stats.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Flyers! on: October 22, 2011, 08:56:56 AM

It would suck if they don't have access to that wallet anymore  Cheesy
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Witch Bitcoin Symbol? EVERYONE VOTE AND USE!!! on: October 21, 2011, 11:19:22 AM
I'd personally love to see a revote in a month. Let this discussion die down, let no sides have some kind of large opinion.  Believe it or not I don't care that much about it lol, it's that attitude that keeps me from downloading any files to see things that show up as blank boxes on my screen though too, like a lot of people I think.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SC2 Diff drop coincides with attacks on Bitcoin pools? on: October 21, 2011, 11:17:07 AM
tl;dr, SolidCoin benefits from Bitcoin attack, but not the other alt coins because they are CPU based?
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Funding on: October 21, 2011, 11:13:58 AM
wtf mizery!  I know witcoin has been in your sig, but I didn't know you run that site.  Get it on new servers dammit! lol    Also make an simpler 'about' page, one that looks like AOL created it.

Good luck on finding new projects, there is so many to choose from
