Happy 10th bitcointalk.org
It wouldn't be the same without every single one of us.
Here's to another 10
422  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [TEASER] [RIDDLE] Loaded Note 2/4 COMPLETE on: November 22, 2019, 05:22:58 PM
I can only find this
The next note in the series, code name: 'blue jay' will be 0.01 BTC.
But can't remember seeing a blue jay note. And this sure isn't a blue jay and not 0.01BTC

So my last guess will be Southern Emperor

Edit cause I feel like im spamming hahaha. Loaded Note Series. Last guess for real this time.
423  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [TEASER] [RIDDLE] Loaded Note 2/4 COMPLETE on: November 22, 2019, 05:09:17 PM
hint #3

The series name has already been announced through the popular 5 mbtc Northern Cardinal notes released earlier in 2019.

Cold Storage?!

I often like to swim though

BTCChiBitCTy - create a separate thread for your bit-cards auction. Hope y will offer me a price on this card since I brought this p lol  Smiley

There are so many versions of bit-cards and they were many produced it shouldn't be that hard to find. May be many earlier users who bought this card threw away without understanding that it has some resell value.

Hey alamjob2329,
It is not proper etiquette to come here and demand people start auctions for items that you want. There is a search bar function that you can use to find members that have hosted older sales and/or bought the original items that you want. You may have some luck by sending them a private message asking if they still have the collectible. The hard part is getting them to want to sell it to you.. I have had the most luck by including an offer they can't refuse in my opening message. A lot of us here are not holding on to the rarer items just to make $50 here, $100 there.. you need to think in terms of 3x 5x 10x and even higher than the price they initially paid.
Good luck with your searches but you definitely need to try a new strategy.
427  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My latest artwork made for the 10th Anniversary art contest on: November 22, 2019, 01:56:51 AM
Thinking of how I'd want to hang this on my wall or have as a collectible.. my favorite choice would be as a Signature Series Kialara. Wonder how well it would scale down though.
428  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Anyone Auctioning for Cryptopods WOODCOINs Example Given on: November 21, 2019, 09:41:01 PM
Here is the list of the insect wood cryptopods

Ant - Bee - Butterfly - Centipede - Dragonfly
Flea - Ladybug - Mantis - Wasp - Worm

There is 1 of each in the entire world . Roll Eyes

Hope this helps

BitcoinPenny & Cryptopods Collab. Wooden Coins - 10 Total
Also keep in mind when looking at the winning bids that bitcoin was hovering at almost 2x what it is today when the auction was going on.
429  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] What's new, What's trending, What'd I miss? on: November 21, 2019, 05:31:15 PM
How are you determining which threads to put on your list?

What if you miss a thread that people want to read about, but you don't think it merits being on your list?

Now we are relying on a "central" source to tell us what is going on....

So rather than verify, we are trusting....  Huh

And to take 5 minutes to scan the first 2 or 3 pages in collectibles doesn't really take that long if only looking for 1 or 2 threads that you missed....

and even then, they would be highlighted to show that they have not been read yet

Great points for sure! As DaveF brought up in his thread here it might be easier for people with less time to have a thread like this available. There is no money or donations requested for my time in doing this so I'm not sure what you need to "trust" here. Verifying is pretty straightforward as I have clear links to the threads and the coin/note/maker/artist's profile or contact pages. Nothing too nefarious going on here.

This thread isn't so much for us everyday readers as I stated before.
Some of us live on the forum and we see each thread go through its course from start to finish until it fades away into page 2. This is not so much for us. This is for the people that may only have 5 to 10 minutes here and there to browse while at work or in their day to day activity.
This thread acts as an AID to what we see everyday. If you are happy dipping into pages 2, 3, 4 then this thread isn't for you. At work and have a few minutes to spare before the boss comes back around? Click here to see if something new popped up while you've been at your 9-5 job.
I am only human (read: not LoyceV) and can only update as I see threads pop up or have time to venture into other pages. I have some hope that something like this actually lessens the daily "bump" of a rather unwanted item if they see it in the list here.

Not every single person's threads will be displayed on here at any one time. That's what https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0 is for.
I'm always willing to be called out if someone believes I am doing something wrong.

How are you determining which threads to put on your list?
I scroll through pages 1, 2, 3, 4 and find auctions/WTS threads that are still going. I would rather give them a little bit of exposure in my thread than have them bump daily. These are sometimes threads that people bump every one or two months and I respect that.
At the same time after a week or two, these will disappear from this thread and a few more will take their place with the same criteria.

The whole point is for this thread and it's listed coins to be everchanging. Otherwise it is not a useful tool to anyone. Yes people are going to still miss items, yes I'm going to miss items, but this thread provides a greater chance that we don't miss as much.

There's even shitcoin scavengers! Love it.
Please post the gif in your OP. Really neat to see the progress.

OP?
In your original post here. Some people might not click onto the art contest thread to see it! It is amazing to see the process.
431  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] What's new, What's trending, What'd I miss? on: November 21, 2019, 04:28:31 PM
Slowly been adding things over the past 24hours. Probably lighting up on your front pages non stop haha. Finally have it at a decent size, am thinking about a way to show the difference between new and a few days old. Thinking something like this:

[||||||||||||] Brand new
[|||||||     ] Few days old
[||          ] About to be removed and replaced with new

This way people that just want a quick scroll every couple days can visually see what's been changing rather than have to rely on their memory of "did I see this before?"

Decided to keep pictures out of the thread. Formatting terror when I am updating on mobile.

Can we take the joke threads out of it?

Seller: flora_digitalis
Thread: Extraordinary Antique Look Austrian Cufflinks - Discount!
How long do I have?: Forever

Because those are never going to sell I feel like it should never have been added in the first place

Or are we just poking more fun at it?

We can add tecshares raybands, that kinda racist piggy bank thing, and the women clothing thread too. They get bumped every now and than

For you killyou I will, I just wanted a little bit of lighthearted fun in there. I was going to cycle it out for a similar "no buy" every few days but we'll stick to straight serious business in here from now on. bitcoinnofuntalk.org

Interesting idea.

How does this differ from the new / unread topics being highlighted each time I come here?
Sometimes it is hard for a mobile user or someone without a lot of time to scroll down through the "eyesore" of blue on blue clicked/unclicked links. My hopes with this thread is that I will be able to update it enough that there will constantly be the newest most exciting releases on the top and further down we have some auctions/sales threads that may have fallen to page 2 or 3 but are worthy of a few more eyes on them. The point of this thread would be for somebody to add it to their watchlist or actually bookmark it so when they have a minute or two during the day they don't have to wade through 20+ threads to see what is new or what they may have missed.

I'm also thinking of adding Trending: at the very top. This would be for things like Corrosive's upcoming two suits of silver cards, yogg's History Coldkey, CI's new releases, BitcoinPenny's new releases and other things like that. **That said if you're dropping something new on the Collectibles board send me a PM so I can have a bit of preparation time.

When auctions end, they will be taken down. The deep pockets/rare and One off's will cycle every so often.. I will pick a few here and there one week and replace them the following week with a couple new ones. None of this is personal in the end, if your thread is taken down it just means it is time for someone else to have a turn in that spot. You of course have your own thread and can post updates/bumps to get your own exposure.

Some of us live on the forum and we see each thread go through its course from start to finish until it fades away into page 2. This is not so much for us. This is for the people that may only have 5 to 10 minutes here and there to browse while at work or in their day to day activity.

I am always open to suggestions through PM about this thread.

Paused.
Life too hectic with worldly happenings to dedicate the time required for this thread.

Legend: [||||||||||||] are new items.     [|||||||     ] are items you may have seen for a little while while browsing.     [||          ] are items that have made their way to pages 2, 3, 4.

**As with anything in the bitcoin space 'Caveat Emptor' and if purchasing something be sure to use a well known 'escrow'. The items linked for sale/auction in this thread are not endorsed nor guaranteed by me.
**Do NOT do escrow or trades over skype/telegram, it is almost a guaranteed scam if not initiated by you.

Arted my rough draft up a bit.
If you're unsure about the humor here google "three comma club" and watch the Silicon Valley tidbits on youtube.

439  Economy / Collectibles / Re: LeanPEPE 1/3 in the world, historic PEPEcash card from XCP protocol on sale 1BTC on: November 09, 2019, 05:49:22 AM
Algaea you have some real cool stuff but I'm sure you want 2,3829 Eth for this piece.
You will easily find buyers here with reasonable prices/expectations. You bring unique pieces to the Collectibles forum but your prices seem a joke. If we can meet somewhere in the middle ground (probably closer to our expected price rather than yours) then I think we could do some real good here.
We aren't all cheap asses either.. I can pretty much guarantee 1/4 of the regulars here have art that is worth over $10k on the wall right now.

*I wrote that all out and reread your title an realized you want 1BTC for this. That is a little better than I thought you would be asking but to be honest there's only 1 to 3 people I know here that are into the digital collectibles in a big way. Best of luck and I honestly enjoy seeing the pieces you bring here, I just don't agree with the price.
