It turns out that it was quite expensive to maintain that data, and people have complained about it previously as a privacy concern, so it's likely to stay disabled for a long time, at least.

Was it the same kind of thinking that caused the disabling of the ability to scan through a list of all members?

Now, we have to look up members one by one, we cannot just scan through a list of everyone to see user name, rank, relative number of posts, registration date and similar general information.

Dude, just drop it! If theymos says it's too expensive to maintain, then it's too expensive to maintain. Why don't you just go and comment on the tens of thousands of posts pertaining to the Merit thingy and user alia, of which are not too expensive to maintain such data.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

So dude.. .are you asserting that who's online and display of all members in the search for members is the same feature?  That was my question.

Regarding your assessment and seeming recommendation of how I should spend my forum posting time... whoaza!!!! I did not realize that you had so much pent up emotion about such a topic..  Roll Eyes    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

In your utmost wisdom regarding my productive use of forum time, is there any specific other post that you believe to be moar deserving of my undivided attention, rather than this one?

Yes. May I also suggest the various nullius "The Merit Hog" threads.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Once again so that you guys know who the fuck you're dealing with here, here's three of the principals who SUPPOSEDLY can't recognize a Ponzi even if it's proven beyond doubt that it's a Ponzi to their faces, of which posters on the forum clearly pointed out at the time ...

Now via my nibbknot account created to out Bruce Peterson of BFL (also read the posts following this one in the thread linked to) ...

I am so confused as to who owns what.

CoinWare and HashTrade have received substantial venture capital investment from the Jacobson Brothers, in order to help establish these emerging businesses, ensure that they have a strong foundation and secure all the capital equipment necessary to deliver the data processing services that the different business models require.

One of the Jacobson Brothers is Jean-Marc Jacobson that goes by the name Jake Hobson and owns the building that the Bitcoin Embassy in Canada is located.

Reminder

This afternoon, as of 2:00pm, the door will be open for Bitcoiners at

3485 blv St-Laurent, 2nd Floor.

There will be space (perhaps still somewhat messy), wifi, drinks, food, and all the street-sale activities.

Come if you are a Bitcoiner, come if you are currious about Bitcoins!

Some of the points on a fluid agenda:

meet & greet
State of Bitcoins in Quebec and Canada
What to do with our Building.

He has owned the building since at least 2002 as we guys can see here https://opencorporates.com/companies/ca_qc/1160763448

What is really weirder is this

Hello,

I've been involved with Bitcoins for about 14 months...  lurking on the forums but never posted before.

Based in Montreal.

Jake

That would make Jake or Jean-Marc Jacobson into bitcoin in March of 2012 but he clearly owned a bitcoin company in August of 2011. To me it is like he already knew that he was going to use a building he already owned in Canada for a Bitcoin Embassy.

When I was a kid I got in big trouble for lying. Did these guys even had parents because all I've been reading is a bunch of lies?

The relevant part is that the Jacobsons and Greg were part of HashTrade. What is HashTrade famous for, you ask? Nothing but they were SUPPOSEDLY the first entity to transact a million dollars worth of bitcoin via BitPay is all ...

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/10/prweb11283333.htm

BF Labs, Inc. Processes $1 Million Bitcoin Merchant Transaction for Institutional Bitcoin Mining Hardware Purchase

Quote
Butterfly Labs (BF Labs Inc.), the Kansas-based leader in Bitcoin Mining technology, has announced that it has processed a payment of One Million dollars in Bitcoin through Bitpay - the largest single transaction ever executed by a Bitcoin payment processor.

These funds represent a down-payment on a multi-million dollar order from HashTrade, a sister company of one of Butterfly Labs' largest existing customers. The multi-PetaHash order is for Butterfly's innovative 28nm Monarch card, and these initial funds will be used to enable production of products which the company will begin delivering in December 2013.

“We're pleased to be the preferred hardware supplier for HashTrade," said Jeff Ownby, VP of Marketing for Butterfly Labs. “Our Monarch cards have been designed for easy deployment in large scale Bitcoin mining operations. The PCI form factor allows operators great flexibility using only common, off the shelf cases & power supplies. In high performance mode, significant performance beyond published figures can be realized. Then, should power conservation be the greater operational need, cards can be run in their efficiency mode with an almost halving of power consumption per unit of work performed.”

Within the same article, proof was presented for the transaction from HashTrade to BFL via BitPay (larger image here: http://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2013/10/29/11283333/gI_81188_1mm-BTC-Transfer.jpg) ...

This is the address that HashTrade SUPPOSEDLY controlled which the U$1M worth of bitcoin was remitted from.

Here's the transaction verifying the image above ...

https://www.walletexplorer.com/txid/1b6ea350c094071412df1f801651263fd65ffa0b89ad6c8626ceeca8755f50bc

So, according to three sources, the 1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs bitcoin wallet address belonged to HashTrade. There's only one tiny problem with that - IT DIDN'T. It belonged to BFL, the very address used where bitcoins were sent from miners during the burn-in process; the very address where funds stemmed from for the purchase of Josh Zerlan's BTC-house; the very address where 10 BTC was sent to me when Josh lost the bet, the bet proposed when I first brought the above to light in an attempt to quiet my scammy ass; and finally, the very address that the FTC confiscated when they raided BFL's office, later returning the funds back to them, whereupon Sonny Vleisides converted the BTC to fiat, diverting the cash into his own personal bank accounts.

Now for the transactions in the green box. Those were funds sent from BFL to BitPay, whereupon BitPay remitted dollars into various Sonny's bank accounts, BitPay acting as an exchange, of which they're not license to do. It's illegal for BitPay to exchange BTC to dollars for any entity, for any amount, they ONLY being a third-party payment processor. You nor I nor Satoshi nor Trump nor Jesus could use BitPay as BFL did to the tune of tens of millions of dollars worth of bitcoin into fiat to various bank accounts under Sonny's control.

Yet here we are years later dealing with the exact same scammy fucks where Investards are jacking off all over themselves after handing them their precious to the tune of millions.

X-Game sounds interesting. I would like to see how this will work in conjunction with Cryptaur sooner.
It will be interesting, what kind of virtual world can we create, for what? Smiley
I think it's your own virtual marketplace. That is, people will enter your store on the platform, it will have its own design, its interface.

Oh, letting people get creative is a great idea. It really will be useful, each brand will have its own store design

426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: March 07, 2018, 06:54:18 PM
I think history will prove that this coin was the single biggest factor in the success of crypto. If this coin had never existed, the seeming success of ponzis would have never been so widely copied. So many people would not have fallen victim to FOMO.

It was not wall street involvement, it was projects like this that rolled out the red carpet for government intervention. The real enemy came for your money through a list of ponzis, HYIPs, and other scam alts. Governments and financial institutions no longer had to run to get on-board the crypto train and seek any relevance - they received an invitation to help stop the crime.

We all could have made incredible amounts of money through crypto and left much on the table for the next generation(s) but I fear it is all over now. You can add this to the list of BTC demise predictions but never has the door been left this wide open to regulate and regain control over so much fraud. This is no longer a market of pioneers and innovators but thieves and charlatans.

Welcome in regulation now or it will get worse.

Thanks to all the mentally defected who think it is ok to steal from other people versus help. Regulation prices out true philanthropy of the masses. Remember when they said banking would be available to every part of the world? We have had regulated banks for a century so why hasn't that happened yet? It won't because there is a purpose for everything.

Crypto was going to level this power out by creating new paradigms and give the wealth back to the people. Crypto project frauds are far worse than the system we have in place now. At least you can work and save your money without the worry of having someone hire you with a fraudulent contract or take your money with intentional failed stewardship.

It only took 1 year to unravel. It was the best of times it was the worst of times...

If this is the wurst of times, then I'm goin' all in ...

I also lean heavily toward Jeff Ownby, formerly of BFL and Sonny Vleisides's sidekick in lottery and online gaming schemes going back decades, is involved with his new buds, Remy and Greg (thanks to BFL). And Jeff has major connections in Russia, made when he used to work for Cryptsy's BitJohn's dad, soon thereafter working hand-in-hand with Sonny in Costa Rica at the former Russian Embassy acting as headquarters for Laissez Faire City.

Don't you people do your homework on principals of new startups prior to sending them your precious?

OTOH, if don't care about the story behind 1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs, then simply ignore this post with this one caveat: we'll meet again when you're looking for help in recovering your precious when it all goes south. I'll be the one jacking off all over myself laughing my ass off in private and sometimes publicly (laughing ONLY for the latter).

LOL Cheesy To offer a solution for the "problem" I created: you could in the future exclude people who earned more than 1 Merit per day already (the "natural rate" to level up with Activity). Or limit winning to once per person, based on the assumption that someone who wins one week, will keep posting quality the next week anyway.

Y'all are gonna shit your pants if one of our other participant's posts blow me away more than nullius's posts do this week, and ends up earning them the winning spot for Round 1 Grin

I mean, nullius has been pretty preoccupied spending the last week in a high school-like gossip and drama circle, whereas if this challenge would have started last week, his posts most certainly may have been outshined by any other participants' posts haha

as I have no doubt that nullius will win first week.

Personally, is there any chance we will be compensated for the damages of the BCC through the lawsuits?
No i don't think so. The question is who will compensate you with the money?? there has been no one directly linked with Bitconnect and lawsuit against a abstract entity will get you nothing but will only eat up your time.

AbstractEntityConnect (AEC): You don't know who the fuck we are, but we're well versed on how to get you Investards to CONTINUALLY send us your precious. Proof? Why did the Investards cross the road? Because we told them to.
Haahaaa..
I wanna ask one thing how can once convince others so much that they started feeling for bitconnect and started vouching for BCC. I mean i am shocked to see real people wearing tees and dining in extravagant hotels with bitconnect infographic everywhere, this cant be one man game?? this cannot be scam that cannot be backtracked.
Look at the official bitconnect channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC21siJ1LcNnAm05ndZq8pDQ/videos
They have uncountable real people.. I heard that bitconnect paid carlos matos his flight and hotel fees..not in btc but they used to book for him, so if FBI tracks who paid for him and other investigations can be done then will not the scammer behind it be caught??

i am baffled how can someone create such a strong scam company that people started to have feeling for it.

The FBI et al. can easily figure out who the leader is by uncovering who paid for the domain name and initial hosting of the site thanks to KYC.

You must be joking now. All it takes is an anonymous credit card which is available in many countries and you can declare any name you like when registering the domain. On top of that FBI has no jurisdiction on domain registrars not located in the US.

My bad! I forgot that all that is needed to get around KYC is to provide an anonymous credit card and bogus vitals.

How about hosting?

The last time I checked, Cloudflare in located in the US. You telling me that the FBI et al. doesn't give a shit if Russian (e.g) rogue agents use their service to say influence US elections? What if somebody is using servers in Iceland, let's say, to host their site known for the sale of drugs? Do you think the FBI et al. would have any problem getting the server outfit to comply to their demands? Quick aside: I wonder how Ross is holding up in prison, serving a life term with no chance for parole.

And let's not forget that ALL pipes lead to a small building in Utah putting the WBM efforts to shame.

Hey P.G did you ever find out what happened to Sonny K, I'm still a little worried about that motherfucker!

That was so clever of Sonny Vleisides pretending to be a Sonny K of BFL, coming off as there being two Sonnys there.

I'll say it again. Of all the thieving and fiasco connected with BFL, there was only one person convicted of a crime. You're correct if you guessed it's the person who penned this post. Now I'm forbidden to come within so many feet of Josh Zerlan's BTC-House because he fears for his life. Hey, maybe with any luck Josh will extend my restraining order for another year while he fondles little boys at the skydiving arcade in KC.

I don't want to derail your thread but oh man those were the days eh!  $25 mil in investomers money, buying AR-15 for protection, "we will mine on the test net for burn in. We will not mine on the bitcoin network", JZ firing customers, BFL having foam pitchforks actually made "BFL why you no ship",  Slok the mod on the BFL shout box oh what a dreamboat he was!  And of course last but not certainly not least Blue Crappy pants.  Who could forget that shill, now that was real shilling, not like the kids today try to shill!  Grin

I think the kids scamming today should go back and read the old school scams.  Now days any old retard can make a coin or token and spew out a scam in minutes.  The new kids on the block aint got nothin  on the OG old school serial scammers of days gone by, those fuckers knew how to scam but good!

Anyways sorry for the derail bud, but there's still a few of us here and we remember so I just wanted to give a shout out!  Roll Eyes

I've never had any qualms with anybody derailing my threads. In fact, I most the time welcome it.

Blue Crappy Pants aka Bruce Peterson was a BFL shill prior to being employed at BFL all thanks to my efforts, I being invited to tour the plant and Bruce asked if he could tag along. I agreed and we shared a hotel room together the night before. We went to the plant and had lunch with Josh and David, BFL picking up the tab. Later that night there was a meetup where Goat and his wife attended. Back to the plant, I left after lunch to meetup with an ex-BFL employee (didn't pan out, for something came up on his end) and Bruce stayed behind for more of the dog-and-pony show. He was hired then. During his interim, he stole from BFL. Later, he, too, had his local police contact my local police to cease stalking him on this forum.

Do you remember the following that cause Sonny to go totally ape shit at the office upon being made of aware of it? (I'll you three guesses as to who nibbknot IS, the first two don't count)

I left most recently, and since I'm no longer under their control I can now share with anybody interested two important things.

One, bcp19, whose first name is Bruce, DOES work for BFL. Ask him and I'm sure he'll say yes, but if he doesn't, I have no problem with linking to pictures of him while employed at the plant. He's been there since last fall. I seriously don't know what game he's playing on this forum and what he's trying to accomplished, but I'm pretty sure it ain't good. To be fair, he is a nice guy.

Second. BFL received chips months ago that were intended for what you guys consider the Monarch. Thousands of miners have already made at BFL's plant using those new chips. Ask Bruce that also. He knows. Since you're now curious as to where all them miners went and are continuing to go, here... http://www.coinware.io/. Moreover, HashTrade, NimbusMining, LiquidBits, and Netsolus. The lead guy for CoinWare is named James (I'm not stating his last name because I don't want to get in trouble, but I'm sure you smart guys can figure it out). James visits the plant a lot, walking around assembling unescorted then heads to the offices of management to discuss whatever.

This post is valid https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg6877963#msg6877963 because I was there when two guys from HashFast (don't get the name mixed up with HashTrade) walked the plant with Sonny, David, and Josh.

I honestly don't want to get mixed up with this mess because I have a family and all. BFL treated me pretty fairly while I was there, but feel it important for you guys who have millions still tied up and waiting for equipment to be aware. It's a shame that you guys who ordered first will probably be the last to get your miners. At least when you do get them, you'll make your money back, even if it takes longer than you planned, if I understand correctly how the whole thing works. Still, it's a screwed up deal.

One more thing, for what it's worth. Everybody in the plant knows about Sonny's past, and some not mentioned here, and we all joke about how we are (was for me, now) working for crooks and scumbags, most the time in Spanish when management is not around, of course.

Heck, I might as well add this tidbit, even though it doesn't matter none except to Sonny's girlfriend. Sonny has been screwing one of the pretty Mexican girls in assembly since early last year. I'm not going to mention her name for obvious reasons, but everybody at the plant knows it except Sonny's girlfriend who have a son together. I don't see that relationship lasting too much longer due to them fighting a lot, where then Sonny may start seeing the Mexican girl full time then.

Sorry if I said too much. All I wanted to say was about Bruce and CoinWare and how you guys are getting screwed big time.

Peace.

Hey, maybe with any luck Josh will extend my restraining order for another year while he fondles little boys at the skydiving arcade in KC.
