421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are other cryptocurrencies not like Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2021, 10:51:33 PM
why can't they last and be like Bitcoin and what does it take for this unstable cryptocurrencies to be like Bitcoin.

Why would altcoins make coins that have been successful like bitcoin? Many altcoins have different visions and missions and goals. In fact, creative innovations from new altcoins that exist will provide new trends and can even create new impacts or new trend for the crypto community. the thing important in altcoins is have to make good impact on crypto users.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 11, 2021, 10:48:46 PM
After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?

The existence of transactions in bitcoin also increases the value of bitcoin, which is why in the past so many people supported a service payment platform or any services to using crypto. because if transactions is used by other people, the demand for bitcoins will also increase and the community will become larger. but with bitcoin prices this high right know I think many prefer other cryptos that have lower value and are stable in volume on the marketcap.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still have thoughts of picking Gold over Bitcoin, read this. on: August 11, 2021, 10:40:05 PM
It's quite surprising how people still consider gold a more profitable investment than Bitcoin. Guess they're not familiar with the saying, 'the higher the risk, the greater the reward'. Although this doesn't mean you should go taking uncalculated risk as that'll be a deadly move that could cost you all your funds. Bitcoin has shown time without number that it's the better investment vehicle than Gold and it just did it again

Bitcoin has repeatedly shown itself as an investment asset and a digital commodity that is far better than gold. but i believe there is many people are know this but also still closing themselves to crypto and bitcoin, and missed many opportunity . and the same thing will happen again in the future.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: August 11, 2021, 10:35:19 PM
I noticed it too that online gambling becomes popular when the pandemic strikes

Online Gambling has been popular for a long time. and has become a trend among gamer and gambler. I think what makes it more popular is because of the ease of deposit and the classy features that many online casinos have today. Now conventional gamblers no longer need to enter their credit card. they only need crypto and internet and they can enjoy good gambling facilities at casino online. and also the looks and feature of the casino now is much better than before.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do poker and sports betting skills correlate? on: August 11, 2021, 10:32:08 PM
I noticed that all the guys in the top 3 were at some point participating in the Bitcointalk Poker Series. Now, it's not that a lot of people were participating there, somewhere around 30 ppl max, so I started wondering is there a correlation.

What are your thoughts on this, guys?

Someone who has often been in gambling may learn and understand other games as well. Poker is more of a mental game and reading card possibilities. the sportsbook also reads the possible performance of the selected team. maybe their ability to analyze the posibilty of a match in a game is really that good.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 11, 2021, 10:27:51 PM
Was it worth it? I would like to try this staking on gambling sites

worth it or not depends on how you look at it. most of staking are APY . Hold coins in a year is not an easy thing to do for some people. and also for a significant profit requires large capital. what's more, the current bitcoin price changes very quickly as well as in altcoins. worth it or not you decide.maybe apy from staking you can get from 1 day trading.

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why be allowed to create tokens with the same names? on: August 11, 2021, 02:03:47 PM
The creators of these blockchain networks have used great knowledge to create these technologies and so far they work perfectly, so why not make an effort to improve them so that they can limit only one name for new tokens to avoid fraud?

There is no limit in smart contract to choose any name . now it's just a matter of developer ethics. surely plagiarism or copy cat coin with the intention of deceiving others people or scam peole will also not be listed on websites such as coinmarketcap or listing coin website. but actually the blockchain also provides clear details for the user to make sure of it all. such as contract addresses.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain games on: August 11, 2021, 01:40:56 PM
Its maybe not only 5 years ahead but maybe will still be a good project for many year to the future.
we still seeing simple games, maybe in future will there be a more complex games or maybe some other games that are popular may be adopting NFT.
but NFT is promising and its popularity is not just hype.

Yes indeed it's almost near the era of NFT games in crypto. Currently I see a lot of NFT based on RPG games or web based games that are very unique and creative and have a high potential for success in crypto. even some big game developers have made games based on the NFT system as well such EA with their axie.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tether crash to $0? on: August 11, 2021, 01:36:17 PM
Back in 2017, the topic of stablecoins like Tether completely crashing to $0. Is Tether still safe to hold your funds on?
you already know stablecoin means it has a fixed value. and tether backed up through the banking system including loans to affiliate companies. you can find out the details on wikipedia. it used to be controversial claim in the past but now tether is the most trusted stable coin i would say, its used in many services and exchange.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC still top1 on the cryptomarket? on: August 07, 2021, 10:45:49 PM
What keeps BTC so high? If we speak openly, then BTC has no role in itself, it's just a dummy compared to other technologies on the other crypto
Dummy ? bitcoin a revolution in digital payments first with cryptography. Just because now many altcoins have more technology and features, it doesn't mean bitcoin will be replaced. bitcoin will always be a pioneer in the crypto market. there could be a coin that you say is perfect in many ways. but bitcoin will continue to be the main one in crypto market.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 07, 2021, 10:43:20 PM
I'm not really into sportsbook but I only do it when my favorite team is playing. and more often about e-sports like dota. cs go . personally i think betting in sportbook it's not about how big or small the odds are. but about the chosen team. It's useless to choose high odds but always lose. sometimes the odds given are through strong analysis. and also better to bet on a balanced match or team you really know.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything like excess gambling on: August 07, 2021, 10:39:38 PM
Most time gambling always has a spirit that will keep telling you that your chances of winning a bet is high inducing gamblers to gamble more without knowing the frequency of their gambling.

The odds in gambling are only you can multiply your money or just lose it. must be ready to accept whatever happens. but also overplaying it will affects the way people think about earning money. just ask people who have never gambled. are they willing to risk their money to get more? not all want to do that. But some people with gambling mindset are brave take risks.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 06, 2021, 11:58:25 PM
In the future maybe, bitcoin can be considered as a safe have an is it gets more developed for everyone's benefit.

This includes a personal opinion on crypto, just like mine. I also think bitcoin will be a valuable asset in the long run. there is no right or wrong in this assumption. this is just a personal opinion. and it is very likely to happen and is not something that can only be imagined anymore.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 06, 2021, 11:54:02 PM
Getting addicted to gambling is very bad. I wondered how this man would lose such huge Amount in one night. He will definitely regret this for the rest of his life. He  probably wanted to win big, but ended up losing £20,000.

If you like to see gambling streamers like ayezee. Xposed , trainwreck and many other streamers in gambling . I think 10k-50k its pretty normal for high roller gambling. I don't know who lost this 20k and how his finances are. Everyone has a different way of looking at the cost of gambling. agree with KTCchampions . number its objective.

435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 06, 2021, 11:47:43 PM
1. Lack of knowledge about Bitcoins, uneducate People only saw the negative sides of Bitcoins.
2. Some of them say negative feedback because of their experience on some sites about Bitcoins,  because now a days Bitcoin are popular but there are many site will scam you if you are spontaneous to invest in not trusted sites.

If you see something wrong, educate them on the right thing. those people who do not understand crypto in detail but provide wrong or lying education are truely exist. this is nothing new. sometimes there are also public figures or someone who is an expert in the field of economics or trading also sometimes still gives the wrong education about crypto.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: August 06, 2021, 11:42:05 PM
For some reason, Elon Musk stopped tweeting about DOGE and even Bitcoin, making people lose interest in crypto these days. Add to this the China miner ban, and regulatory action against Binance exchange and you'll see why the market hasn't gone up that much within the last 2 months (approximately). Bitcoin is still struggling to reach a new ATH, while ETH doesn't get past $3k per coin.

Do you think the crypto hype is over? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

what does crypto have to do with Elon ? what happens in crypto has nothing to do with Elon musk. and also if crypto becomes viral again and rises again later it is also not because there is someone behind it. but because crypto does have more value to attract people to know what crypto is .
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: August 06, 2021, 11:38:04 PM
I know many people bet on boxing matches and I recently saw a post on an "slapping tournament". I was thinking that professional boxing is kind of questionable as a sport discipline and even more so as a gambling event. It is known that many boxers sustain long term effects of repeated micro-trauma and even some have been know to die in the ring. For all boxing fans and for others that may have a view on this, how is this being considered a fully legal activity being supported? And how is betting of people hitting each other being considered as legal and ethical in today´s world?

That's why there is a referee who officiates the match. and also the rules in boxing seems to be made to avoid fatal accidents like that. like not allowed to hit back of the head . You cannot hit below the belt https://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Rules_of_Boxing it is categorized as a martial art sports . so does
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2021, 11:32:28 PM
DOTA PIT CN today's match PSG LGD and VG are both strong teams and runners up in TI 4 and TI 8 if I'm not mistaken. too bad in dota PIT CN there isn't no EU team only asian team. even though I was really looking forward to the nigma / OG team but there is no upcoming match yet for them .
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Coins? on: August 05, 2021, 11:13:53 PM
Rumors that Dogecoin is like bitcoin yet i dont see many websites using it. is there any earn-money site paying in dogecoins?

Dogecoin like bitcoin ? The most inconsequential statement, from the algorithm and the system , is far different. dogecoin is only memecoin for the community before. only now because there is Elon make other people think new things about doge . but from the official thread on bitcointalk dogecoin it's still the same as meme coin. it is only  their community has grown drastically this year . for a list of websites that accept doge, I think you can look it up yourself in the ann thread dogecoin.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 05, 2021, 11:07:07 PM
For rich people then this wont really be a big issue but for those who do have only average income or finance status then that would really be a regrettable things in life.

Everyone has a different level of financial. and sometimes the problem is someone over do it than his limit. the most important thing is to be able to restrain yourself and know your own  limits and financial, self control is the most important thing. because when the money is in hand no one can control our own desires other than ourselves. do not equate financial level with others because it will definitely be different.
