421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PoS+PoW] eXocoin [EXO]-gen 2.0- dev. from scratch! Give-Away | Open Beta on: May 19, 2015, 03:52:22 AM
Send us our money back already, 3 weeks have long passed. It takes 15 minutes to return that cash
Who wants to start hunting them already? I rather give all my stolen btc to the hunter than those thieves. They have at least 200btc in hands, great reward for catching these thieves.

We already know they are german. We know they had a counter strike clan called exo
Look at what I found in a minute of search: https://www.facebook.com/ExOTEAMCSGO/timeline
Quote
ExO- CS:GO Sucht Members ab "14-16" Jahren.
ExO-CS:GO ist ein Deutscher Counterstrike: Global Offensive Team
Ts3 IP: 31.214.227.12:16600
ExO-CS:GO searches Members as of "14-16" Age.
ExO-CS:GO is a German Counterstrike: Global Offensive Team
But everbody can Join us! (You must know the English Language).
German cs clan named ExO... Hmm... Suspicious at best. I am caching everything I find in case they decide to take it off.
No time to invest 15 minutes into giving back stolen money but all the time of the world to play some good ol cs.
https://www.facebook.com/raffaele.iannuccelli

Have no doubt they are reading this thread everyday and having a good laugh. I know they are in doubt of being caught, thus the reason they haven't completely vanished.
I am sure they are all kids younger than 20 yro and are at the same time stunned with so much cash and frightened of going wrong. It will go wrong, exo.
I am also tired of some kids who cant get off "developers'"" di** and still believe they didn't steal or "tried to do a good work". You are completely retard to think that if you lost money or haven't invested at all and don't give a fuck about other people

I can understand how this is a problem to others. I rather await 7 days and receive full btc with 0 fee + nmc mining than pay fee/lose tx fees.
Is that the only problem or am I missing/wrong on something?
423  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 19, 2015, 03:10:29 AM
So you think they put s3 material on my s5? If they did that, some people still bash me for expecting minimum decent customer treatment... No wonder companies are like that if customers like it.

Here is the requested picture. You can see the gold thing. Each board has 28 chips protected with metal stuff and 2 unprotected.
http://prntscr.com/76ugc1
http://prntscr.com/76ulzu
Let me know if this is normal. I don't wanna say unfair or untrue about them or anyone else.

Remember I am in southern hemisphere so it's almost winter. I am on an air conditioned room with 1 ceiling fan at the time of last picture of my panel. It was night time.
424  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 19, 2015, 02:12:33 AM
One of them is hotter than the other. Not an abysmal difference, but definitely noticeable if you touch the metal part that protects the chips. Judging from the time I can bear touching each I would guess it in fact is a 8-9c difference, which was what my panel was indicating at the time.
Like I said, I will have to check thermal paste eventually.

Don't know if this makes any difference, but take a look at my alluminum parts. Seems different from everyone's else. The blades are touching.
http://prntscr.com/76u34v
http://prntscr.com/76u387
I also have 2 chips on each board without its metal parts, like all others. Don't know if this is normal.

Let me know what you think.

I wonder why don't more people use Eligius. It struck me as best pool since it has no fee at all + possible to merge mine nmc, right?
Would it be just because they only mine 1-2 blocks per day + have queue or am I missing something here?
426  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: From horizontal to vertical on: May 19, 2015, 01:51:52 AM
One of the things I had to do to achieve a slightly better temperature was putting it vertical, too. Though mine is inverted. Fan is pointing down. Go figure  Cheesy
OgNasty, I am interested in doing something somewhat close to what you wrote. Can you please post a picture your rig? Thanks
427  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: May 19, 2015, 01:33:56 AM
Here is my opinion on my first s5 if anybody is looking for one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1063402.msg11413222#msg11413222

Some of it is kinda rediclous.  No legit company will falsify invoices to lower your taxes.   You should have known that when ordering from a legit company.

I highly suggest you looking into hosting if you ever buy another miner.  Your import tax of over 100 percent would kill any asic deal from a good company.
Is it also ridiculous to receive 14c warmer equipment?
428  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 19, 2015, 01:21:25 AM
Dogie, that quote has nothing to do with bitmain. I already was aware they wouldn't help me at the time and even had paid them already. I was looking for other people or companies to sell me with lowered invoice. I wasn't asking whether bitmain lowered or not.

crazyearner, thanks for the video. I will definitely try further options on improving my mining performance. I have a few ideas in mind such as tunneling air conditioner straight into fan and having something vac the hot air out. Has anyone ever done such thing before?
I will also have the chips checked for thermal paste by this week, better take it slowly than screw up. Has anyone ever thought or already removed the side edges? The ones who have printed BITMAIN and ANTMINER. I think more air should flow if that is done. I remember we used to do that on computers before 1999.

This is what I currently have: http://prntscr.com/76tnu3
21c temperature outside according to google + air conditioner + 1 ceiling fan. Estimate 17c in room.
What do you guys think?
429  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase accounts are closed due to US Govt sanctions on: May 19, 2015, 12:04:52 AM
Sorry to see that you reside in the country that ISIS is presenting. This action is to limit the ability of ISIS crowdfunding I believe.  Grin
Not op's fault. I bet ISIS didn't do anything to him, in fact. US govt on the other hand...
430  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 18, 2015, 11:41:21 PM
notlist3d, I don't blame bitmain for my corrupt government. I only wanted something that would cost them nothing, instead they did the opposite. I now only buy used hardware from the forum. Here's my current thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1063753.0

Crazyearner, first, I didn't beg anything. I misexpressed myself where I meant I asked many times, even offering to pay. Second, I didn't ask for a lower price, but a lower declared price on invoice. Third, this unit is brand new. If you buy a brand new car you expect it to leave the store working, not having to change the tires or something else.
I managed to decrease the difference to 8c instead of 14c myself. I will eventually check for further and more advanced options as I get more experience.

432  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Should I buy an Antminer s5 ? on: May 18, 2015, 07:40:17 PM
you have to count electricity + diff adjustement + psu + cables, internet + shipping + taxes/fees. With these your 5 month roi goes to 12, if lucky
433  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is this normal? s5 board temperatures difference on: May 18, 2015, 07:38:41 PM
Well I will leave this here in case this ever helps someone. Not creating a new topic nor doing it in a popular board because I don't want to make it seem I am bashing or being unfair to bitmain, but:

1) Bitmain refused to lower my invoice just because. Wouldn't cost them anything and nothing I would do made them change their minds. I pay a 108% import tax + fee.
2) Bitmain sent item with a HIGHER invoice than it actually cost, after I begged for a LOWER one.
3) Was going to buy used gear from bitmain USA but they suddenly started to ignore me, even though they were the ones who offered it
4) Machine had some dust
5) Outrageous 14c warmer board #1. Board #2 was normal
6) Sent them email regarding this problem to what they replied is "something normal and nothing wrong"

Due to these reasons, specially invoice one, I will not buy from them again and don't recommend.
This is what happens on a monopoly. We need some competition here.
434  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Used S3/S3+/S5 (RAISED PRICES) on: May 17, 2015, 05:59:48 PM
S3: $70
S3+: $75
S5: $325

Mandatory escrow
I pay escrow
I pay shipping
I am in Brazil
You must accept to lower declared invoice price. Won't cost you anything
I buy small quantities such as 1 or 2 as well as large quantities such as 50+. Up to you.
I am open to negotiations
Must be fully working with all chips alive. If there is any small problem I may still buy it under discount

I am thinking on finding a forwarder in the USA, where sellers would ship to them instead to me and then he would ship to me for a small profit rate + costs. PM me if you believe you got the expertise and want to do that.
Thank you.

EDIT 25/5: PRICES RAISED
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 90% sure that "EhVedadooAnonimato" is Satoshi on: May 17, 2015, 02:58:32 PM
who is António Franco Alexandre?

A kind of Richard Feynman with a level of knowledge that defeats explanation.
A genius. A very elegant and intelligent man with a very tender sense of humour.
Definitely an extremely high IQ, well versed in the mastery of languages,
(Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, English, but also a bit of German and Hebraic...)
Found of the Japanese culture; a libertarian and progessist; a very modern intellectual.
A very sensible man, with a very centered heart.
A bright mathematician that finds Fermat's theorem and its proof fascinating; that finds gold, water, sun and moon fascinating. In a word, Satoshi.
The kind of intelligence that would learn the fundamentals of C++, to the level of knowledge of Bjarne Stroustrup, the creator of C++, in a weekend or two...
A guy that is always surprising you by how much he knows, and that will know that it is Roberto Benigni you mean, and not Noam Chomsky or William Gibson or John Searl or Bertrand Russell or John Travolta or Donald Trump or Rupert Murdoch or Warren Buffet. Who else? Satoshi.
Literally, there is nothing you can throw at him that he doesn't already know. The real dad... Uncle Sam!

A fascinating man.
I don't think that guy is ehvedadooanonimato. After reading many of his posts I am very inclined (not to say certain) he is brazilian, not portuguese. Some things also make me guess he is from São Paulo to be more accurate.
The way he writes + what he writes + his nickname + knowledge on brazilian laws and small things such as ICMS, Nota Fiscal paulista etc make me nearly certain he is brazilian. On the other hand timestamp is more correlated to a person from portugal with regular sleep pattern, unless he is a night person or gets up very early like many people.
I am sorry but judging from the way you flauntly write about him, makes it seem you are antonio yourself.

Ehvedado does not double space ponctuate like satoshi.
Satoshi wants to stay anonymous and these discussions don't take us anywhere.

http://prntscr.com/762v8e

My first miner arrived yesterday. Bought from bitmain.
1300 supernova gold psu brand new
Air conditioner + 2 ceiling fans + 1 fan pointing straight to miner. Nothing else being run in the room.
Google temperature says 19c outside. I estimate no more than 14c inside
50mb internet
Already tried everything. Been like this since first start
Fan speed 3700 instead of 3000
All this after running for only 15 minutes. It gets worst as time goes on.

There are three things I want and should inform you all about this company/purchase but I don't want any trouble with bitmain so I will keep these out for now
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Automated Transactions on: May 15, 2015, 03:40:35 PM
I sent a PM to Vrontis (AT funds + Qoradev's/Sharex etc funds holder) and an email to Bter asking them to please start forging. If they do that we will earn an extra 1.2b forging power and mitigate even further the risk of centralization.
Please start forging as well. You will earn coins while securing the network. Double win.
