421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🚀🚀🚀 [ X11 | PoW+MN | 30/70 ] Profitable Masternodes 🚀🚀🚀 on: July 05, 2018, 10:48:40 AM
How can you say there will be great profit when you don't even know how well received your coins will be? Shouldn't you back this up with evidence before making claims. Every masternode claims to be profitable, when in reality, only the select few are.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is a trending topic all over the world? on: July 05, 2018, 10:46:25 AM
Cryptocurrency is always trending, however unfortunately the news associated with it is usually negative hysteria that leads to FUD. The difference is that right now, there isn't much negative FUD, hence why the price has increased 10% and is now remaining stable. This will continue to be the case until the trending news knocks it in either direction.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best dice site? on: July 05, 2018, 10:38:51 AM
I mean if we're talking about pure dice games, there's almost no variation between sites. However, there are a few sites that differ in the amount of support offered, or the house edge on dice games. Typically you'll find a 0.5-3% house edge, but those with the lowest house edge also tend to have the fewest other games and the worst customer support. It's good to find a balance between the two, Fortunejack is a great example of a nice balance. Sure it doesn't have the lowest house edge, but it allows automation and has great support not found elsewhere.
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, What Next? on: July 04, 2018, 10:55:46 PM
In my opinion I think that we are going to struggle to test $6,870 and will likely trade horizontally for the next few weeks until some news or FUD sends it past the upper or lower support levels. Personally, I think that the market sentiment has improved so green is looking more likely than red, but I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a dead cat bounce.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the sign of bull run? on: July 04, 2018, 10:39:02 PM
Looks like it was a bull run as you predicted. Normally when there' s a long horizontal bull plug, and we see a breakout, then you can be sure you you're going to generate at least a 5% profit within a day. Though will only be against USDT, since all cryptos tend to break out at roughly the same time, with just the amplitude varying.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: July 04, 2018, 10:29:12 PM
The will to quit gambling is always being beaten by addiction. No matter how you wanted to quit in gambling, if you really get addicted, you will return even if you have stopped for how many days, weeks, months, years. There is a time that you will go back to your habit.
If the person who is gambler and wants to leave gambling for good, he himself would start hating gambling by his heart after that he would be able to leave gambling because he is the person who is addicted and he wants a cure and as it is a common sense thing that if the patient would like to be cured, only then he would be cured and beside this, nothing else can be done.
Anyone who is addicted to gambling already hates gambling and it's obviously because they haven't been able to make any profit so they start hating it and get addicted because they want to make profit gambling. There isn't any particular way to quit gambling it differs from person to person

Plenty of people recognise that they hate gambling, or at least they hate what gambling has done to their lives or their loved ones (in the case of problem gamblers). However, just because they recognise something is bad for them, doesn't mean that they have the power, or the knowledge to stop the negative behaviour. Just like a drug addict knows a drug is damaging them, and yet continue despite this fact.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: consensus on: July 04, 2018, 10:25:04 PM
Great article, particularly for newbies to the crypto industries. If anybody wants to go on for a little more light reading you might want to look at mixed consensus protocols, and other other ones like proof of authority and proof of online, which are some variants of the proof of work algorithms.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: July 04, 2018, 07:57:01 PM
Of course, there's a lot of benefits to gambling, but they all depend on context. Of course, there's the social aspect, coming together of friends and family, or even communities in national sporting events. Certain games also improve human cognition, contextual reasoning abilities and lateral thinking. However, there is always a trade-off, addiction can happen and that can be destructive, though rare.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most alts are worth Zero on: July 04, 2018, 07:45:01 PM
Yep, I actually read a statistic that 80% of tokens are trading at below their ICO prices on exchanges, and that 92% of all cryptocurrencies are worth close to zero (including tokens). That doesn't bode well for the market, as it appears that the market is just becoming increasingly saturated with soon to be defunct projects. There doesn't seem to be any major filtering process that stops these projects from being pumped out on a regular basis, and so the trend will likely continue until only the top 1% of coins actually retain their value.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thailand Legalize Crypto currency on: July 04, 2018, 07:14:46 PM
I guess this is part of the reason why we saw a generous improvement in price in the last couple days, though I wasn't aware that Thailand was much of a crypto market, and news, whether positive or negative seems to have an unusually large affect on the market mechanics.
431  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone with huge bitcoins has withdrawn the investment? on: July 04, 2018, 07:08:03 PM
Just because the market fluctuates significantly, doesn't mean that a single, or even a small group of individuals is responsible for this, or are somehow pulling the strings behind the scenes. There seems to be a lot of suspicion that there are a few market movers in the background, and this view is actually quite prevalent here, but I do not believe anything has been proven, so is probably just a load of BS.
432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will Bitcoin achieve its goals on: July 04, 2018, 07:00:41 PM
What makes you think that's the overall goal for Bitcoin? Did Satoshi tell you this himself? As far as I'm aware, nobody is aware of the true long term goal of Bitcoin, and could simply have extended well past the expectations of the creation. The odds are that Bitcoin will not achieve  complete uncontested usage throughout the world.... After all there are hundreds of other cryptocurrencies hot on its heels.

Right now, Bitcoin is in a negative slump, until we clearly climb out of this, it's a little too early to talk about world domination, don't you think?
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ethereum is the best crypto next to bitcoin. on: July 04, 2018, 06:55:27 PM
On one hand I have to agree with you, Ethereum was the first cryptocurrency to successfully bring smart-contracts to the table, and can rightly be considered a second generation blockchain for that reason. However, much of the promise that Ethereum initially claimed has yet come to pass, and it has fallen woefully short on its expectations of what smart contracts would be capable of by now. It's closing in on its 5th year, and we still don't have a killer dApp available, something's got to change.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time for more crypto forums? on: July 04, 2018, 06:53:10 PM
I actually don't think there's much of a need for other crypto forums as of yet, the market isn't quite developed enough to be fragmented into smaller chunks. I do think that almost every major cryptocurrency does have its own forum, as do many popular sites that accept Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. If you look around however, none of them come close to match the popularity of Bitcointalk, probably not even 1/10th the size, so unless something can do it better, I don't see a benefit.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: July 03, 2018, 09:13:58 PM
Zcash is a strong coin, but has been weakening lately as other cryptos have begun to incorporate snarks. Maybe you should go for bitcoin private instead.

Also, the genesis ceremony leaves the coin open to vulnerability later, and nobody would even know about it due to its privacy features. Nobody knows if the founders really did destroy their fragment of the master key, I doubt any of them actually did.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will not perish on: July 03, 2018, 09:12:25 PM
It doesn't matter how high the value of a coin gets, it actually doesn't affect how many people buy it either, it doesn't necessarily condemn it to being a store of value.

The minimum possible spendable quantity of bitcoin is 1 satoshi (0.00000001 BTC). Even if bitcoin was worth $100,000, this means that 1 satoshi would be worth 0.1 cents. In fact, 1BTC would need to be worth 1 million dollars for 1 satoshi to equal 1 cent. Hence the worth of bitcoin doesn't limit its spendability, even at extreme ranges over $100k. So this argument is out the window for all those that wield it.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it ok to convert my BTC savings to Tether when the price is high? on: July 03, 2018, 09:08:10 PM
Basically there are at least two levels of strategy when it comes to trading. You can either tether it to preserve its value in USD, or you can exchange it to a coin that has higher potential. For example, if you you see that ETH is gaining faster than BTC, then you'll convert BTC to ETH, if then you see that ZIL is gaining faster than ETH, then you convert ETH to ZIL. Keep doing this every time there is a breakout and you'll net a fair profit.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 03, 2018, 08:39:07 AM
The Dude is done but i guess he can still sell a fight and make good money from his fame even though he might end up loosing so i think so long as he doesn't see anything wrong in tarnishing his reputation by loosing fights then we should leave him to make his money. It's good business dude!
Even if Senator Manny can still fill arenas, that doesn't mean its not the time to hang up the gloves yet. What Manny's camp should look at is his capacity to fight, can he still fight younger boxers and win. Manny is already a Legend and a future hall of famer. I would rather see him hang up the gloves while he is still on very good shape, than retire because someone knocked him out cold.

It's true, but he isn't a heavyweight, so he probably still has quite decent speed. And it's not like Matthysse is exactly young, it's not a young vs old fight by any means. Middleweights and below tend to maintain their speed up until around 40, so at worst Pacquiao still has a punchers chance, or at best he'll still be the same as when he fought Mayweather. It's very unlikely he'll get knocked out cold, even an old Pacquiao is still a beast.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders, why don't you just trade forex? on: July 03, 2018, 08:30:56 AM
Bitcoin allows for day to day trading. Although forex may offer this there is no shady banks rigging the prices like with the stock market. Although bitcoin can be pumped it can’t be pumped as easily. Although I’m sure of the big investors in Bitcoin also do Forex as well as I think that is where they would have come from. Also, with forex there is often only fluctuation by a fraction of percent daily, whereas this margin is much higher with crypto, allowing profit (and loss) to occur more frequently. Any experienced trader can generate profit much faster with cryptocurrency, simply because price changing events are much more common, and the fluctuations significantly higher.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down on: July 03, 2018, 08:27:43 AM
I think that your analysis is invalid, I believe we have reached the bottom of btc price and now it is in the works to take off again. I believe it will be able to reach $20k easily its just a matter of when. However, I do not believe we will see the meteoric rise that was seen 2017 will reappear this year however, as there was also some evidence that was fraudulent.

I think seeing $15,000+ is quite close now, as the negative hysteria associated with crypto appears to have bottom out, and we're seeing a genuine strong reversal now. 10% in a day for a crypto as big as Bitcoin is not a small indicator.
