365% interest...not sure how that could possible be sustainable...

It's actually 34.8 % interest per year. If not compounding.

It is now. See my post above. When the website launched it was clearly stating 1% daily interest. The fact that it has suddenly changed makes it all the more dubious I reckon

It's 26% p.a. so not 1% per day.  So less likely to be a Ponzi scheme?

The website has been changed since my original post. The original offer was for 1% daily. The link I followed on reddit was titled "DC Bitcoin Bank pays 1% interest Daily, Invest, Buy and Sell, Grow" posted by user "dcbitcoinbank" http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1odx09/dc_bitcoin_bank_pays_1_interest_daily_invest_buy/
423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitNZ are they any good? on: October 14, 2013, 12:16:31 AM
They're good. Deposits usually take 1 or 2 business days to appear, and withdrawals from 1-4 days. Not a lot of volume on there though. I saw a "wall" of 100 btc on there the other day and nearly fell off my seat. That's close to the volume you would see in a week  Cheesy
424  Economy / Service Discussion / DC Bitcoin Bank on: October 14, 2013, 12:03:35 AM
Just saw this on Reddit (dcbitcoinbank.org) but I can't see how it can work  Huh

Surely any withdrawals of the (high) interest must ultimately be paid from other depositor's bitcoins because the 4% deposit fee is going to be eaten up within 4 days. Ponzi?

Panic selling always happens. Check out my thoughts on the long term effects: http://cryptolife.net/silk-road-takedown-bitcoin-great-buy-right-now/

Unfortunately I see this when I try to access your page...

428  Other / Meta / Re: should chart-buddy be allowed to post in wall-observer thread? on: September 30, 2013, 08:41:35 PM
I had chart buddy on ignore too. I voted "no" to this poll because I think chart buddy should have it's own thread. This thread would pop to the top of the subject list once an hour so it would be easy to find if you were interested
429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 29, 2013, 12:52:20 AM
According to http://btckan.com/price btc100.org a chinese exchange has done 111706.36 in 24hrs.... which is hard to believe....

There was a thread started about this in Speculation earlier that has since been moved to Service Discussion. I wondered if they were using mBTC for volume. Others think it could be a bug
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 28, 2013, 09:58:37 PM
This rally is annoying. All low/med sized buys. Prevents chances for quick sell/buy turnarounds. Tongue

I.e., it is not a rally but a planned demolition. Single digits on the horizon my friend.

Shut up walz, you drama queen

432  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 27, 2013, 01:26:05 PM
User "Labcoin" has a Skype Name in his Profile named "delaria"

User  "Delaria" on bitcointalk  is a italian Guy who run 3 avalons some months ago under the Name "Labcoin"

Dont you guys think User "Labcoin"  is an italian aka Fabrizio?

Got a link for that second claim? If this is true, I revise my opinion.

9000 bought?

Close to that. Maybe only 5000. Was just going off clark moody and watched the volume for the last 1hr period climb from some low value to 10,000

436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Running multiple clients on: September 24, 2013, 09:39:32 AM
Thanks for the replies. Running Bitcoin-Qt and Feathercoin-Qt together with no problems Smiley
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Running multiple clients on: September 24, 2013, 08:46:39 AM
Are there any potential (or known!) issues with running more than one client at one time? I'm running my Bitcoin client full-time at the moment but I also intermittently run clients for Feathercoin, Namecoin, and others from time to time. I was about to fire up my Feathercoin client but suddenly wondered if I should shut down Bitcoin-Qt first? I'm running OS X Mountain Lion
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "Error opening block database. Do you want to rebuild the block database now?" on: September 17, 2013, 06:18:26 AM
I bit the bullet and decided to delete all the files and re-download the blockchain. Replaced wallet.dat with a backup and I'm good to go on 0.8.5.

But now I'm reluctant to shut down Bitcoin-Qt in case I encounter the error again. Huh
439  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] Do you have a life? on: September 17, 2013, 01:53:39 AM
omg this just made me check. Total time logged in: 258 days, 2 hours and 29 minutes

But I do have a life too Tongue
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 16, 2013, 12:10:33 AM
Erm....anyone noticed that btcguild has about 48% of the hashpower??

That's wrong. It is currently 33%, down from 40% a couple of months ago

http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/chart.php

33% is more like it. Blockchain.info states the total hashrate at 998Th/s and the front page of BTCGuild shows 353Th/s which is 35%
