It was a really interesting series of decisions by FIA but finally Alonso got his podium once again. He has been very consistent so far for two races as he finished in second position in both of them.
Alonso is just using full power of Aston Martin right now. Stroll is not going on as good as him I'm afraid. But Alonso is their main driver technically for successes. They must still be very satisfied with his results. It is really interesting to see Aston Martin faster than Mercedes and Ferrari both now. Alonso even competed with Perez for a short time period at least. This potential must be really scary for the other big teams now.
Third but you are right, he got podium back to back in both races. It looks like Stroll got some improvements to do considering Alonso is driving the same car and he is getting better results from it anyway, Stroll has absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be getting the podium or at least be right behind Alonso. Look at Max and Perez, they are so close to each other in both races, but for some reason Stroll can't do it. Well we know the reason, Alonso is a much better driver even at 40+ years old whereas Stroll is a much worse driver, that's the main reason but they can't just make it this obvious and they need him to race better and get some podiums this year. It is because of Alonso much more experience compared to Stroll,have you seen the overtake of Alonso to Hamilton in the first race,that as the commentator of the race in Sky Sports said,it has years in the making as a move.Stroll is a young driver relatively and has time to improve,he should learn from Alonso big experience.I think though that in this second race it was an error from the team that they called him early in the pits and he lost his position to both Ferraris before he had a problem with the engine and was told to stop the car. |

Neuer was never really fit to be the captain if you ask me, İlkay is a better player than Kimmich, but Kimmich is still in Germany whereas İlkay is in premier league. So this decision looks to be as good as it gets, I hope that he keeps the armband and he continues to be their captain for the future as well, it would really help them in the long run.
Doesn't mean that he will get to win anything at all, we could see him be the captain and the team still losing, Germany doesn't get better just because they switched their captain, that is not how football works. I only got 1.5 this week. I'm practically bottom of the overall table as well. The only users below me are pretty much the ones that have just given up like Welsh . No idea what's going on this season but there's been a lot of crazy results. I don't think we have had crazy results except a couple of weeks but this year most of the games have come as predicted and most probably these type of results do not favor those who go for bold draws or backing the underdogs,I remember you backing Brighton against Arsenal last pool or that before the last .That must be the reason you are so down as if you have put always the favorites,a route that I have tried this year you would probably have better results but since there are 22 places in prize spots,you have time to recover,who knows if the true crazy results start coming these last weeks of the tournament,after all this is Premier League. |

Real Madrid will spend more focus on UEFA Champions League than Coppa del Rey. The El Classico is very last hope for them to catch Barcelona and they even did not win it but worse lost it. Chelsea are not too hard for Real Madrid to win in quarter final and after that they will aim at last three matches in Champions League. Kylian Mbappé has been appointed as the new captain of the French national team. I don’t really know how I feel about this appointment considering the fact that they’re other eligible candidates like Antoine Griezmann and Oliver Giroud who has been in the team for quiet a long time. But I also understand that its not just Coach’s decision. Players also have a voice on who should lead them. He has been phenomenal for France lately, but giving him the armband is too much even for him. I feel there are other old and experience players in the team.
I think that he is the best player for France and it was thanks to him that France got to the penalties in the final against Argentina this last world cup as without him France would have probably not even a shot on goal on that game.Things have changed now and despite the old players being usually captains now there is a new trend which the captain usually becomes the best player of the team and I think France has made the right decision to appoint Mbappe as their captain.He surely is one of the most talented players in the world and he fully deserve this title despite his young age. |

Napoli is 99% certain to secure the title this season and while fighting for the Champions League Napoli is a team that can go through these 2 competitions without a burden I mean they can share focus on each competition.
We can say Napoli is 100% to win Serie A title this season because no other teams have a chance to pass Napoli points. Napoli played consistently so far, they keep winning the matches. On the contrary, other teams played inconsistently and they too many missed points. This is a contradictory situation, so it is impossible for other teams to chase 19 point gap made by Napoli. For UCL, Napoli surely has a chance to win it as well. But I think it is a bit difficult because they must fight with stronger teams from other leagues. They can focus on both competitions, but the chance to win in UCL looks smaller than Serie A. Napoli is favored as they will face either Benfica or either Inter if they qualify against Milan which I think is something doable for them despite Milan having much more experience than them in Champions League as they have won it several times while Napoli has not that big of an experience in this competition.The form of both teams in Italy Serie A is totally different with Milan screwing it up and being in really bad run recently with a draw at home against Salernitana and a lost game this weekend against Udinese while Napoli is crushing every single team and the lost games that they had I think they just didn't care much as the points difference allows them to do what they like. |
