 Completely agreed with this. I don't even remember when was the last time England managed to win a world cup, or even the Euro Cup. And I still remember what happened during Euro 2020. They asked some of their inexperienced players (Jadon Sancho, Bukayo Saka.etc) to take the penalty kicks and they lost as a result of that. And when their fans complained, the management shut them up by labeling all of them as racists. And look at their performance during Qatar 2022. They were one of the favorites to win the trophy, before getting kicked out of the competition by France. I can also agree with this claim. England is the cradle of football, but the only time they managed to win a trophy in football was back in 1966 when the world cup was played in England and that was after a big controversy in the final with Germany, because it was never confirmed whether their third goal in the final was according to the rules. They never won anything after that, although English clubs have always been good in European club competitions. The unfortunate relegations of the English national team after penalties in many competitions have already become legendary. They still play some of the most entertaining football compared to other teams as they never play defensively which is great football to watch when you play most of the time in attack.This is also the reason why they have not won anything after 1966 because soccer has become a game of strategy from different coaches who after they score a goal they immediately keep the team completely on the defense and that is not beautiful football,England has never done such thing and against any team they have played open football which even people who are not fans of England have enjoyed. There is a big problem with Chelsea team recently, and the solution is within them. From the manager to coach and then players too because the manager's error will drastically affect the players.

After Chelsea was successfully sold to Todd Boehly, a man from the United States, then the existing problems didn't just end. Of course the Chelsea club must be separated from internal political interests, so that the strengthening of players can be optimized again. Arsenal seems to be favourite to win the 2022/2023 Premier League season but Manchester City is still very much in it and I think the winner would be either of the teams but being a Gunner, I just hope we win!
The winner of premier league is currently difficult to predict, if Arsenal won their match yesterday against Liverpool, I will have believe they will win the premier league, but Arsenal lost two points yesterday, which makes Manchester City closer to them. But I know Chelsea won’t give Arsenal a tough time but they should also be included, anything can happen. Arsenal lost 2 important points in the championship race by losing points in a match they got 2-0 ahead. It was the most enjoyable football match I have watched in the recent times. Salah was able to score only 1 goal because of his clumsiness and unluckiness in a match that he could have made a hat-trick comfortably. Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale was very good in the last moments of the match.
Liverpool have absolutely become the team to have changed the course of the championship race after the matches they played against Manchester City first and Arsenal later on. Those are really important points to lose, and given how tough some of the remaining fixtures are Arsenal, they are still likely to drop a couple of points imo, but then Man City could also slip too, but the race is now more open than ever, and they'll need Man City to also drop some points if they are to emerge victorious with the league title. There are just 8 games remaining and some of them Arsenal will play in their home which most likely will win these games,the difficult encounters are only against City and Newcastle so if Arsenal manages to beat either of these teams,just one of them,most likely Newcastle they are still strongly favored to win the league title.It is true that they have really screwed up in tonight game against Liverpool as in the second half they were almost nonexistent in the field and they were just defending and waiting for the game to finish,they are lucky to come out with 1 point from this game as if Liverpool had been a bit more pragmatic in front of the goal they would have won the game. |

A really strange game this one,Arsenal completely dominated the first half and in the second half they were scared to death and they barely managed to pass their own field,this is not a team that is to win any title and I wonder how such team have come so far with these results,they were just under pressure and could not do anything,teams that fight for the title always find the power to fight back.

Why does it happen always that one of the favorites will lose their game in weekend in all the major leagues but in here it looks like it happens a lot more often.We saw Real Madrid yesterday night and we are seeing Betis not winning against a team near the bottom of the standings which at a certain time they were also in relegation zone.I think that the red card for Betis impacted them but they have better players compared to Cadiz and they are playing at home,I wonder how come they are suffering this much and they are losing 2-0 to Cadiz so far.
Based on such happenings I am betting a lot on Atletico Madrid to win as we had enough of surprises from La Liga so hopefully Atletico is going to win against a really weak Rayo in their recent games.

There is a really long time until the next race in Azerbaijan. I'm really disappointed to come across a long break like this so early in the season. It is like a summer break I mean. Anyway I hope that Ferrari make use of this free time as good as possible to make an improvement. Because they look really slow and problematic still. Mercedes and Aston Martin both impress us more.

This season still has an interesting plot. Benfica Lissabon is going to play against Braga and against Sporting towards the end. Now mathematically, if these two games are going to be close or Benfica loses them and Porto do their job, it would in fact become interesting once more. Benfica has to try and not lose those two games or otherwise they could get into trouble, a situation that I suppose nobody here believes to be possible. But the game against Porto could be this kind of key game.
I think that Benfica will go their way against Inter and then they still have the pressure mounting from the Champions League as well while not having secured the Primera Liga title. That can make a difference at some point when they might be facing an injury or another suspension. There is still some hard work to do for them even though the table looks comfortable for now, but those two games against Braga and Sporting caution is required.
I don't think Benfica will lose to Braga and also most likely they will not lose against Sporting either.They are now fully focused on the Champions League encounter against Inter in the upcoming two weeks and only once they would have settle things there for good or worse only then they will start thinking again Liga Portugal,for now they are leading comfortably and their mind and objective for the upcoming two weeks is far away from Liga Portugal. Sporting is playing against Casa Pia tonight which should be an easy win for them,they have not been the most consistent team during this season and their position in the standings is showing just that.Porto started a bit late to do well and as such they have no real options of becoming Champions of Portugal this season. |

Glorious victory from Lazio last night! I've watched the entire game , hoping that Lazio will be able to keep that 2-1 for almost and entire half and they did it! It was a hard working victory , a well deserve one for the players , club and also for the fans. With this mega important victory , Lazio hopes once again for UCL spots and that 2nd place in Serie A is well deserved for them. Lazio has made good improvements this season to be ahead of teams like inter Milan, ac milan and Juventus. Lazio have put much effort in winning their games this season. I'm not surprised about the victory of Lazio against Juventus, it will be great to see them in the Champions league next season. I also think that Lazio has showed great football recently and I still cannot understand how they were eliminated from a team like Az Alkmaar from Netherlands in Europa League,a team much weaker than them but as soon as they were out of all European competitions they started showing great game play in Serie A.The funny thing is that compared to Inter,Milan and Juventus Lazio has not those quality players that those 3 other teams have but is all thanks from team work and a great winning mentality instilled to them from their coach.I think they fully deserve the second place in Serie A this season. |
