4241  Economy / Lending / Re: DireWolfM14's Crypto Lending Service - BTC & ETH Loans on: September 04, 2019, 04:22:22 PM
could you possible do a loan of .004 or .005 I will say for 3 weeks to be safe. I can do the .1% a day.  If I make the money to pay you back I can pay you back tomorrow But I will say 3 weeks to give me plenty of wiggle room. I reckon it should't take that long but just to be on the safe side? Every loan I have gotten has been paid back early? Or could you give me your interest rates?

Thanks DireWolf!!!

Username:Devawnm367
Loan Amount: .004 -.005
Purpose:Loan
Collateral: None
Repayment date: By 9-25-19
Repayment Amount: atleast 10% or .1% daily minimum of 10% though
Funding Address: 1NiQTDeVQwqYPHXswWdG49ewsU5ayCMnb

Hi Devawnm367,
Thank you for the loan request, it's accepted with the following parameters:

My rate for no-collateral loans is 0.333 per day, or 10% per month.  If you want 0.005 BTC for 21 days the interest will be 6.993% (0.00035 BTC,) and total repayment of 0.00535 BTC.  If you agree, please sign your loan request and I'll fill it shortly.
4242  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.05 BTC Loan I have a collateral. on: September 04, 2019, 04:11:23 PM
Hello I need A loan a BTC loan for now and I'm willing to give a collateral.

I need: 0.05 BTC
Type Of Collateral ZB Token
Amount of Collateral 1750 ZBT Token
Purpose: Personal
Repaying amount: 0.055 BTC
How long will it take to repay the loan: 3-4 weeks after I received the fund.

I'm happy to use an escrow for the safety of both parties.
Can you give some information about this Token on which exchange its listed like this.

It looks like an exchange-specific token: https://www.zb.com/
According to CMC it's trading for 0.00003207 BTC per token: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zb/
The OP's offer is a loan collateralized at 110%.  To collateralize the loan at 120% he would need to provide 1871 tokens or reduce his request to 0.047 BTC.

Okay, I see the on-chain/LN toggle on the receiving screen, but not on the payment screen.  If anyone can tell me what I did wrong the last time I'd appreciate it.  Here's a screen shot:
You only have to paste or scan the payment, if it's an address (which you did some how), it'll make an on-chain payment, and if it's a LN-request, it'll go through LN.

I'm confident I didn't paste an address, but I'm also confident I didn't paste the payment request properly.  Copying and pasting on my phone can be challenging with my sausage-like fingers, I bet I just buggered up the script some how.  Once I figure out how to send a proper payment I noticed some differences from that first attempt.  When it worked right the wallet software asked me to confirm the transaction, then it asked me to enter my PIN.  None of that happened during the first attempt, it just took that buggered up code and created a transaction that sent all the funds in the channel back to my wallet.  Weird.

I get the same error (in Bluewallet) as I got for Timelord2067's request: "Payment failed. Does the receiver have enough inbound capacity?".

That's odd, my wallet shows I have inbound capacity:

Could it be that my payment request expired?  I changed the setting to allow payment requests for up to six hours.  Can we try it again?

In Éclair you have to toggle between "on-chain" and the lightning-network when making a request. Perhaps you hadn't toggled that setting?

Okay, I see the on-chain/LN toggle on the receiving screen, but not on the payment screen.  If anyone can tell me what I did wrong the last time I'd appreciate it.  Here's a screen shot:

ETA:
I figured out how to buy some dogecoin using a lightning payment.  That was fast and fun, I like this game.

I'll pester you for a repayment script tomorrow.
4245  Economy / Lending / Re: LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans on: September 03, 2019, 10:07:22 PM
I believe so, but not certain.  I have one confirmation now, I'll keep and eye on it to see if I can make the determination if that's accurate.

In Éclair you have to toggle between "on-chain" and the lightning-network when making a request. Perhaps you hadn't toggled that setting?

I did not toggle.  I'll be sure to toggle next time.  Smiley

I only just got around to checking it again and now; it has 14 confirmations, and the channel status is "normal" now.  I still don't know if it needs a minimum of 6.
4246  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help with lost seed on: September 03, 2019, 08:10:24 PM
I  have funds stuck in an old wallet on electrum. I lost my seed, and had my google authenticater set up on my old phone. When it broke I got a new phone and couldn't regain the authenticator.

Pretty much the only thing I do have is the password to the wallet plus any other keys that are stored on my computer. I can sign in but I cannot send coins out. Is there anyway for me to get the coin out?

I've never used 2FA with Electrum so I'm not sure if this will work:  If you can log into the wallet you may be able to recover your seed; click on "Wallet" in the Electrum toolbar, and click "Seed."  It'll ask you for your password again, but it may also ask you for your 2FA code.

Did you check google for a backup of your Authenticator app?
4247  Other / Meta / Re: Permanent Bann Appeal on: September 03, 2019, 08:01:52 PM
Seriously get a life

Lol, apparently suchmoon has a life which you covet; a life that includes an account which isn't banned on Bitcointalk.org.

"Someone in charge" has already addressed your situation when they banned your account, and they aren't likely to put any more time or effort into your request.  The only accounts I've seen get un-banned are those that have demonstrated significant value to the community.  What value have you contributed?  Based on what I've seen from your post history when you're not plagiarizing, you're shit-posting.  Not much value there.

If I was betting man I'd wager your ban isn't going to be reversed.
4248  Economy / Lending / Re: LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans on: September 03, 2019, 07:22:46 PM
The channel state is "waiting for funding confirmed,"
I don't remember the exact details, so just a guess: does it have/need 6 confirmations?

I believe so, but not certain.  I have one confirmation now, I'll keep and eye on it to see if I can make the determination if that's accurate.

There was a scammer with a really similar thread title...
Probably the same, or if not, still a scammer  Cry

The same (alleged) scammer, the same (alleged) scam, the same telegram address, different alt account:

I offer from 0.1 to 2 BTC (more than 2 BTC is considered individually)
From 2.3% per month
Up to 6 months.

The wallet shows 1.32577 mBTC in the channel, but when I try pasting the code it tells me I don't have enough funds in the open channels.  The channel state is "waiting for funding confirmed," so I may have to wait.  The home screen still shows a balance in the wallet, so I'm guessing the funds aren't lost into the ether...

4251  Economy / Lending / Re: LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans on: September 03, 2019, 05:44:29 PM
No Sad
That's an on-chain transaction, while I sent you a LN request. I don't know how that can happen.

Lol, operator error is how that happens.

Your transaction sent funds to bc1qtm6y3c3vnplncu7zqf8w2zzafxgrxqxdgp6gzlc4ad8zzfx53auqusdjqk, are you sure you didn't copy/paste an addy instead of the LN request?

100% certain I pasted the lightning request.  The funny thing is the funds look like they're being transferred back to my wallet, the funds are still there, just minus the transaction fees, and now it's waiting for confirmations.  I know I didn't paste that bc1 address into my wallet.  Oh well, I'll wait for the transaction to confirm and I'll give it another shot.

Send anything from Min: 25252.52 SAT to Max: 1028641.28 SAT to:
Code:
lnbc252525300p1pwkax5hpp5uluan5sek2h78ucjxulqz5txe2erjcyum4xkh4gy97u74qfgryasdp68qux2dt9x5ekxttp8qmrztf4x56rzttpx5cnztfhvsmnjwp3v4jkvc3hvyxq97zvuqcqp2rzjqfvy9ta9ntgzgpuycxwstz2g39mak79vheh9wdcavr8tmrqna8xtzzx5vqqqq4gqqqqqqqlgqqqqqqgq9q7kamt5cmg2usxdrvelxhucmddtxc969fkfd80w25m5szjymk6sk9uvdka470ck50kvs42sxku3rtxlgl43awrxlp4amtxz5gm7xdp3spya7lx5

Okay, I pasted the invoice into the wallet, and it automatically calculated how much to send, but it looks like the transaction includes the whole balance of the channel.  And it's still confirming.

Does this look right?

I can get you 1000 Doge if you want too, just post an addy and I'll get you a LN request.

That sounds good, let's do that.  My DOGE address: DHoyadiVDMFcgbPPaR5spBL1znxdedsbWJ
I've opened another channel, so lets see if it works.  Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

In Eclair, you may need to enable receiving funds in Settings too.

That part I figured out.

All funds are on your side of the channel. See:
After opening a LN channel, you need to make a payment first to get inbound capacity. I bought 1000 Doge at https://www.coinplaza.it/ (ANN thread), but you can also exchange Bitcoin Lightning for Bitcoin.

I didn't realize I needed to make a payment first.  Coinplaza.it isn't available to US residents so I can't use them.  Maybe I'll feed some chickens, while I eat some chicken during my lunch break today.  Or, I could pay back my Lightning Loan before I borrow it...
4255  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Multi-Sig with Hardware Wallets - Problem on: September 03, 2019, 01:51:12 PM
With respect to Casa's fee, I tend to agree. I'm happy to pay the $1800 once-off, for which you get a node, 3 hardware wallets and a few other items. Obviously you get access to their software, priority support and assistance etc too.

I can't believe anyone would entrust a third party with any of their seeds, sorry.  Even if it's only one seed of a multi-sig wallet.

You can do a similar thing yourself for much less money, and it'll be infinitely more secure.  If you're concerned about the safety of your storage facility there are solutions to that as well:  A small fire-resistant document safe is only a couple of hundred bucks; buy two and put one at home and another in a self-storage unit (about $50 a month) with back-ups of your seeds in both safes.  You'll be the only one with access to your seeds, they're safe from various physical threats, and you'll be spending a lot less on security.
4256  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Defaulted Loan on: September 03, 2019, 02:32:56 AM
I've created a flag against daboy_lyle here:

The flag doesn't have the support yet, so it doesn't appear on the page you linked.
Direct link to the flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=692.html

@LogitechMouse, I also think you should create a type 3 flag for this user.  He's demonstrated some pretty scammy behavior:  He tried to borrow from shasan using two accounts, posting requests within 25 minutes of each other.  Then, after being called out and having his alt linked to this attempted scam he got busy deleting all his loan requests.  I can only assume he's trying to hide evidence of his shady actions.

This is my erc20 wallet address that holds CET 0xd728138dc23378660698a4b9b37273948eff4187
I would like to send collateral with the repayment.
Reason: Cet is red now over 4% of its ATH and the lended btc will be traded now to CET as additional.
When you will send repayment why you will send collateral. You should give collateral while taking loan. And collateral will be refund to you when you will repay the loan.
Sorry I can't use my CET for collateral and can I use my account as collateral? .
Base on your reputation, I cant give loan against your account. Giving collateral does not mean that you are selling. Have a good day!

Loan Amount: 0.05
Loan Purpose: Private
Loan Repay Amount: 0.055
Loan Repay Date: January 2019
Type of Collateral: none or my bitcointalk account
Escrow profile Link: none
Bitcoin Address:   1DaboyRkn5KQRwrvL4Ns6cx2QcKf4fFC6U

Sorry base on your reputation I cant give loan to you without collateral or taking this account as collateral. Thanks.

4257  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Multi-Sig with Hardware Wallets - Problem on: September 03, 2019, 01:07:47 AM
At this point I am seriously considering forking out $1800 per year for Casa Keymaster Platinum 3-of-5 multisig.

I don't see for what they're selling subscriptions.  Do they store your recover seeds?  WTF?  Maybe I'm missing something but that sounds like a bad idea.

My specific goal is to have a 2-of-2 setup with 2 different hardware wallet manufacturers, to mitigate the risk of bad actors/supply chain issues in any one company. Herein lies my primary issue.

Trezor appears to work flawlessly with electrum in a multi-sig setup, which is great. The problem however is that I can’t find a second mainstream hardware wallet that actually works securely at the moment.

Seems like you're over complicating things.  You can use a standard Electrum wallet as a the second signature, go with an airgapped system for extra security.  You'll still need one hardware sig and another sig from another wallet that has no ties to Trezor.

So it is, after all, plagiarised.

Still not quite there, maybe if you wish a little harder.  It's obviously spamming marketing material, he's even linking to the service (source.)  Just because some "article" regurgitates the same marketing material doesn't make this user's posts plagiarism.

Last but not least...

Plagiarism Blatant copy paste shilling for a project he invested in.

Shilling, yes.  Plagiarism, no.  You can't plagiarize yourself.  You can spam the same post all over the board, and that may get you banned if egregious enough.
4260  Economy / Lending / Re: LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans on: September 02, 2019, 10:18:08 PM
I'm almost ready to request a loan.  I don't really need it, just want to learn about lightning, support this effort, and have some fun feeding chickens.

But I ran into a snag:
I downloaded and installed Eclair
I sent mBTC0.5
Tried to open a channel
I was informed I needed a minimum of mBTC1 to open a channel
I sent another mBTC0.9+ from the change address of the first transaction
I opened a channel before the first transaction (mBTC0.5) had 6 confirmations
I waited
The channel finally went to "Normal" but it still said the amount I could receive is 0.

Why can't I receive any coins?  I've since closed the channel (mutual,) and now I'm waiting for that transaction to complete.  Now that the funding transactions have plenty of confirmations, if I open another channel will I be able to receive?  What did I do wrong?  Other than not reading this thread thoroughly, and being impatient?
