the site opened a bit slowly for me.  but it let me sign on and it shows that my last s-1 is on the way.

No more coupons.  Also summer is coming so 7 s-1s will be the max i can do.

This coop is the best chance to see if black arrow delivers.

And frankly they look shaky at best.

They refunded over 100,000 usd  on this r17 sale including  7 of 12 shares to me.

If we are not hashing in under 20 days this will be dead deal.  If this deal is dead you will be out your 12k.

There are quite a few holes in the boat.
43363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAWminers.com fake or what on: May 07, 2014, 11:56:37 AM
They are not fake. I have ordered and received  more then 1000 usd in gear from them. 10+ gridseeds and some other accessories.

Read this thread.

If you buy use a CC or paypal.

3x ASICMINER USB Block Erupter 336Mh/s and one of them don't work lol

But I'm having fun Wink

teach yourself to solo mine with them!    If all 3 work it is 1gh..    1gh should make a block every 400,000 days. well that  is at todays diff of 8.
43366  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I am looking for anyone that joined gaw's double your hash promo on: May 07, 2014, 03:10:05 AM
I did enter the same contest and received my payout today. Strange thing for me is that the amount according to the coinwarz calc has me receiving about 20% more than what the calculator shows I should receive. You got 50%ish less. Maybe contact and ask for an explanation. Do it ASAP as w/prices changing it obviously effects payout radically.

It is only 13 usd.  I did buy more then 1200 usd from them.  Frankly they are starting to make a bit too many errors.

All little so far and all fixed in a day or two.

First order was delayed they claimed they had a huge fraud cc/paypal error  right before I placed  my 660 usd PP order and that they held all cc/paypal orders until it was fixed. To their credit they gave me a free five chip miner.
Which was a little better then they needed to do.

Second they sent five more miners  for my second order.   one dead usb cable they never replaced it only 2 or 3 bucks . since they were nice about giving me the free grid seed I said ah it is only a cable why go nuts.

Third I order one of these 20 port hubs as I had one and liked it I offered to build a rig for some one he liked it. they sent crap hubs to me not the one I ordered.  I said to the guy I was building the rig for I will give you my hub.  When I pulled the hub I fucking shorted it out and killed it.. So I lost the old one  and killed a grid seed.   They contacted me less then 2 hours after I wrote this

I have 2 crap 13 port hubs and a promise for the 20 port hub.  But they pulled the fucking 20 port hub from the web site.  So I want to blame them for a lot on that . but they really just owe me a new 20 port hub. I was very lucky when I shorted the hub I had 17 gridseeds plugged into it.  So killing 1 grid seed and the hub could have been 17 gridseeds and the hub. So even though the  hub fuckup cost me about 200 usd in  damage to my gear that short is on me.
Not  them..

Now they underpaid me on the coin for my 3mh of hash.     The missing 20 port hub is around 80 bucks.  Plus the missing hash is about 13. So that is 93 they owe to me and my stupidity cost me 200 more. They fixed all issues

I guess they did me a favor I will not be ordering  the fury from them that is the new miner they have 1mh for 200.
I was buying 10 but  not now.  I was going to sell all 30 of my grid seeds. I sold 13 I will keep the other 17 .

I will put in a claim with paypal for the hub next week.  They will go on my do not buy list.

That Fucking list is too long. Starts with BFL, Black Arrow, BIPS ,GAW.

I have been contacted about fixing this problem   If fixed I will post back. That it is fixed.

part of the problem is fixed.   all fixed !! thanks

I have made 2  five unit buys of the gridseeds or 1500khs + 1500Khs.

https://blockchain.info/tx/6a03410e79e4c188239f83e4699c5d009c365ca91da1dd59bd565cf56bb61701

they just made a second payment .  so that  part is fixed.

To be fair they have contacted me about the 20 port hub.  I will post what they do.

I hate to be critical of mining sellers, and so far GAW has fixed the errors made.

After the day is done I most likely will calm down a bit.

I think the idea that I could have killed off 17 gridseeds with the short I did really got me going.  Well hopefully we can get the rest of this fixed today.
So GAW has been responsive to the errors they make

43367  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Help with a Dead S1 on: May 07, 2014, 12:42:17 AM
try only powering the side with the ethernet  so only use 1 pcie hook up and pull the white ribbon that links to the second board.

If that works.  do the same with the ribbon attached. if that works then the board with no control card is the issue.

Thanks for the response.  So far it looks like the LAN card side power is the problem.  I can plug in the other blade and it doesn't blow the psu off.  But as soon as I would plug into the LAN side, it shuts off the power.  I never even get a LAN light, just instant trip.  At this point, I'm thinking I now have something to rob parts off of in the future.

try fully moving the lan/controller from the one board to the other.  it can be done.  if you are lucky you will have 1/2 a miner.
43368  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] HEX•FURY 11+Gh/s USB Stick Miner [ IN STOCK UK, EU ] Shipping Worldwide on: May 06, 2014, 11:01:31 PM
does anyone in the usa have one of these to sell?  I don't mean any disrespect to the threads op.

I just wanted one to play around with. I thought someone near my state of NJ might want to offload one.
43369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I am looking for anyone that joined gaw's double your hash promo on: May 06, 2014, 09:11:14 PM
Just as a general rule; websites or offers that give things for "free" tend to not work out too well for investors in the long run.

well the 10 five chip grid seed miners were already delivered. the offer came later.

I have had no problem with the gear delivered.  but if you think they were really nice about the grid seeds in order to sell lots of preorders of new scrypt coin miners . I think you are wrong only because they offer to sell with cc and paypal.  T

The ship date for their new 1mh miner is May 26th http://www.gawminers.com/the-fury-1-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-one/ this is 219

or wait for the next week at june 2

 http://www.gawminers.com/the-fury-1-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-two/   this is 199

use your cc or your paypal and if they delay cancel

I sold 13 grid seeds in the last week. I have 17 left I am going to sell all of the grid seeds and buy a few of these.
43370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 50 TH-miner - probably not for the kitchen... on: May 06, 2014, 04:59:43 PM
All this will ASICMiner delivers 2PH @ $900/TH in 6 immersion cooled DataTank flat racks that can be reused for their next chip (at a cooling overhead of below 1%). Silent and dust free, no cold/hot aisle required.

Wet dreams indeed  Grin

Actual price might be higher as the immersion cooling tanks also have to be paid for, but yes, in 1~2 months Asicminer will deploy their new systems.

~$900/TH is for a total 2PH ASICMiner system in an immersion cooled container delivered to your doorstep. All you need is connect power and internet to the container and that's it.

2000 * ~$900 = ~$1.8M USD

It's a steal Grin

Your calculations seem off, the container alone is at least 0,6$ per watt, then you have to account for pcb cost, PSU cost, while chip cost alone is atleast another 0,5$ per GH.
1,3-1,5$ per GH seems a more reasonable number.

AM Gen3 chips aren´t more power efficient than 0,7W/GH.

Also keep in mind that Allied Control won´t sell you a container unless you can come up with the around 0,5-0,8 million dollars for the container alone.

My numbers are not off, they come straight from Allied Control. Ask them for a quote of a fully deployed AM BE200 container.

And I assumed you have tested the chips, otherwise you couldn't claim they are not more power efficient than 0,7W/G.

in their own advertisment they claim .5watts  vs the sp10's known .7 watts and the sp30's hopeful .46watts.

Asic's are approaching max efficiency   .3watt  just  as a guess.

We need a new way to hash.   a new chip not of asic design.    we went from 300watts a hash to the current .7 watts.

that is better then 400 to 1.   time for a new game.

I am sure BFL will come out with the god-like miracle chip   The JOSHER tech.

the chip will have 1th of hash at 10 watts and use WTF tech to find solve the algorithm.

It will be only 500usd and available this DEC  please place your preorders now.

Adobe isn't high on my liked vendors list.

Agreed, but it sure is nice when it just works everywhere Wink

I'll look at it in detail as I can.  I don't have a lot of spare time anymore.  Sad

M

No worries, not a demand, just a suggestion Smiley

Regardless, nice piece of software, thanks for releasing it!

Thanks.  I'd really like to target linux and mac as well.

M

Use java and cover all platforms... Nice idea btw

I'm not fluent in java.  And a lot of people consider java inherently insecure..  Just Another Vulnerability Announced.

M
I here that.  I have had so much trouble with java I try to use it only on 100% mining pc's.

I like your app. I will consider some coinage tossed your way in a week or two.

For those on Windows, or have access to Windows, I just released M's Ant Monitor for keeping an eye on your ants in one spot.

M

woking nicely on a mac mini using os 10.8  and windows 7 in vm

how about that one miner 3 days and 0 hw errors clocked to 393 freq.

I like the auto boot if x's show up. Nice piece of software.

43374  Bitcoin / Hardware / I am looking for anyone that joined gaw's double your hash promo on: May 06, 2014, 12:23:28 PM
They read this contacted me and fixed everything!!!

Last week GAW had a promo for 1 week of  match your hash power.  In my case I have 10 five chip gridseeds .

That is 3mh if you do not overclock

I was paid this today .040335 btc

https://blockchain.info/tx/a58a9ba5342383b485eeaa6f356b35f05f18670b605e7937ac6a5233da306dfc

3mh for a week is $29.82   .040335 btc is $16.98

So while $16.98 for free is nice it should have been $29.82

More to say about the tx id showing this coin.  I have no idea if it was from gaw miner.

So did anyone get their promo free coin?

43375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: gaw to have new miners on sat> on: May 06, 2014, 12:09:30 PM
I dont understand how they sell in the internet age on line  something without photos.
(dont rush and say yes they have photos to me they seem like photoshop images and not real thing)
(as real thing is being shown in a desk with pool settings on the side and not the same photos for all items)

I am an ebay seller as well,  and if I fail to present many photos I have lots of scammers
waiting to open an as not described case.
and we see now all the Bitcoin Litecoin related items to be sold with preorders and no photos
describing the size as pocket size...(what size is that my small pocket or big military trousers pocket)
I am not sure what is happening is there something like a drug or and we all Including me (as I was ready
to place a pre-order.......) dont see what is happening

At least the basics must be present!!!

They allow cc purchases.
They allow paypal purchases.
Thus photos are not of much importance.
Order and if they are late put in a case.

I do see your point that they make themselves attackable if you order and do not like the gear.  You put in a claim showing the photos do not match.
43376  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Introducing the first BitRack on: May 06, 2014, 12:01:18 PM
Nice looking gear.  Do you have a price list?

Also have you considered making them for the SP10 and or SP30

43377  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is there a way to determine the number of entities that have solved blocks? on: May 06, 2014, 11:57:47 AM
Thanks for the links.

This "unknown" group: Is it the collection of all solo miners or some pool that isn't known yet?

Also: If this is accurate I don't really know if this is a good state for the network to be in in regards to the decentralization aspect. I mean 90% of blocks and thus transactions are handled by just 17 different nodes, that isn't a whole lot. And it is a number so small that with a little coordination between a few of the pools a lot of different manipulation could be possible.

Although I am aware the network would adapt quickly to such things as people can always choose to pull out their hashing power from the "bad" pools, but still a well timed and quickly performed move could still do some severe damage.

And with the upward spiral of difficulty and needed hashing power the number of nodes that handle the major portion of transactions will decline rather than rise.

I have thought long and hard about these problems.  I do believe back in may of 2013 this would happen.  Asic Miner had close to 40% of the network. They hashed privately.  They could not be  a ddos victim . On 3 diff jumps  there were ddos attacks on  the second third and fourth place pools.  All happened with 10-12 hours left before the jump.  The network was no longer 60% non Asic mine 40% Asic miner.  For those 10-12 hour time periods it was closer to 70% Asic miner it does not show up other then if you look at the blocks they would win in the time of the DDOS attacks .  They would double ther block collection.

Since they paid out most of that money/coin in dividends   there was a boost …

Any large share holder of Asic Miner would have a real benefit.  So anyone may have done those DDOS attacks.

I no longer believe in this danger.  I do not think anyone can get a 40% share and boost it with DDOS attacks on the next 3 or 4 pools. Why do I think this because  the only way for this to work is that top pool must be fully private.

Right now the top pools are all accessible to miners.  You can have auto switching in case of major DDos attacks. You can use solo mining as a last resort. So your danger to a timed ddos attack can be safely handled.

Now if someone invents a new chip for mining that is soooo good   300x better then an asic chip

and builds a massive private pool the problem will happen again.

A dead 5 chip gridseed and a dead 20 port hub.

  must take both.

I will ship to   all 50 states in a us post office flat rate box.  Should fit in a medium box.  Cheap

one of these

http://www.gawminers.com/300-kh-s-single-gridseed-asic-miner/

and one of these

http://www.gawminers.com/20-port-high-speed-powered-usb-hub/

I fucked up powering the gridseed with a 12volt wire while connected to the hub.  I grounded the brick to the hub.  the  hub and the gridseed died.

you must take both   make an offer over  .033 btc   which is what the shipping is.
