coins dropped from 1152 to 998.   the window for a 25k sale may be done with.
44362  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] - ADDICTION - KNCMiner - Now hashing at 14+TH! on: December 01, 2013, 12:00:43 PM
the original offer from knc was 6999 usd payable with a credit card.  ROI for BTC is meaningless for the oct knc machines we purchased in june.

the new offer by knc is BTC offer. these are due in april of 2014.  Please do not discuss btc with the machines we purchased as it is a meaningless discussion.  Most of us did use btc to pay Tyrion70 but I simply went to coinbase and purchased 7.5 btc for about 80 usd a coin then used  the btc to buy in.   Since I live in a country that charges taxes in fiat my calculations are based on fiat not BTC.

If anyone thinks the selling half the machines for 25k each and halving all our dividends  would mean we lose they do not have a real concept of investment.  I do agree that selling half the machines may not be the best choice for max profit.  but it absolutely makes a real world fiat profit.  For each and every one of us.   It make us all guaranteed winners.  Keeping all the machines and hashing does not make us a guaranteed winner.  I happen to be a USA citizen but frankly if I did  live in the UK and used the pound the same would be true.  If I lived in any country that uses the EURO it would be true. If I lived in Japan  or China it would be true.

The down side to selling half the machines at 25k each  say 14 for 350,000 usd.  and we paid 190,000 usd for all the machines does exist.

one) coins to jump to 10000 a coin
two) deal goes bad and we do not get paid.

the upside

one) we get 350,000   we paid 190,000 so  we got 13 machines for free and a 160,000 profit.
two) coins stay stable or drop

44363  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY EU] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [ANN] on: December 01, 2013, 12:17:29 AM
BTC Address will be controlled by BITMAIN... Which means if anyone who is paying in Bitcoins, you are paying directly to Bitmain but not me. I only do the converting from Paypal to Bitcoin as well as confirming orders and shipping (if that's the case).

Thanks again...

BITMAIN should announce the price on monday (China time), hopefully.

Hong Kong  china time   now = 8:16 AM Sunday

New York USA    time   now =  7:16 pm Saturday

So   Hong  Kong   China   9 AM Monday

New York  USA        8  PM Sunday

Gives me a time to look for a price.

What is the paypal address please?

44368  Economy / Securities / Re: Does cex.io size create weakness for BTC ? opinions guesses welcome. on: November 30, 2013, 07:33:15 PM
You assume they are actually hashing...  I always assumed this was a TradeFortress product to short mining diff .

I suppose you could be correct.  and that all or at least most of their  hash power is based on the minds eye (the clouds in the sky so to speak)  still brings us back to the what if they fold quickly vs shrink slowly question.  Or how about if they continue to expand to 3ph of 7ph.
44369  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: List of all DyslexicZombei at-cost/below-cost Miners Cooperative Group Buys on: November 30, 2013, 07:23:58 PM
If you check the DZ site they are selling LTC miners and hosting facilities but not shares. Maybe if people were interested they would.

I am not familiar with LTC. Is it keeping pace with BTC?
ltc was doing well the last week or so.  but that is still a gpu driven coin.
44370  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED]R13x: Black Arrow Bullet Run, Nov. + DZ MC Bonuses on: November 30, 2013, 07:07:50 PM
We apologize however it seems after some time trying to set up R13 it will not be able to get going, we didn't get all the boards back yet. Instead of continuing to hold the funds we will give full refunds of the BTC amount  you paid. Also I will activate coupons on the site, if you where one of the people that stuck with us to this point your email address will give you ~$5 off per share in R17 (you must enter the email in the coupon field).

Downside is there is no hashing, upside BTC is now valued quite a bit higher than what it was when you paid.

I will update this thread when everything is set / done, you do not need to request the refund it will be done by the payout address you gave when ordering. DO NOT send a message asking for a refund all it will do is slow the refund process down.
that is a nice upside many people will 2x their fiat or better.

interesting I have seen this under reporting quirk quite I bit..  Lots of pools and lots of different gear and software.   I saw back in aug 2012  and in dec 2012 and more recently.  So we kind of have a fully custom setup…..  Should we pick up more pi's to switch in and out.

Like wtf? By the time I was up and got over to the warehouse, they fixed themselves. Our 24 hour earnings never changed tho...

yep  this is what I have seen on other pools such as bit minter  with the bit minter java client  and with the bfgminer client.     now a day or 2 ago bitminter had 8 or 9 stale mmc blocks in a row.  so these under hash/ vanished block bugs have occurred before.

please forgive my math on the paper value of cex.io as I did it off the top of my head.  it may be bigger them 900 million usd.  edit   yeah it is closer to 1.2 billion usd on paper.
44375  Economy / Securities / Does cex.io size create weakness for BTC ? opinions guesses welcome. on: November 30, 2013, 05:40:30 PM
Cex.io is really big. over 1000 th.   at .065 a gh Cex.io has a huge value crazy big.  1 th is 65 btc or 71,500 usd.   They have 1300 times that this comes to a paper value of 929,500,000.     If they fail  how big is the hit for BTC?  Now AM was huge and at 40% of the hash back in APRiL-May this year.  So this hugeness of cex.io may end up with simple shrinkage  like am did.    Any guesses or opinions  are welcome.
44376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's predict the end point of bitcoin~ on: November 30, 2013, 05:30:50 PM
There are way too many factors for any sort of surefire prediction.
That being said, I think $1 million per coin is very possible barring some sort of global ban, serious social stigma, or an altcoin replacing it.

My reasoning:
$1 million/coin is 1000x the current value ($1000/coin).
Bitcoin went from $1 to $1000 on investment from nerds/techies alone.

2014 is going to be the year of "normal" people and Wall Street getting involved. That's going to be a huge amount of money coming in and will easily push up the value an equal or greater amount.

12,000,000 coins out and about  9,000,000 left to find.
at   1,100 a coin the value of coins out and about = 13.2 billion
at  10,000 the value is   120 billion.
at 100,000 the value is   1.2 trillion   this is a very high amount of money.
at 1,000,000 the value is 12 trillion usd   I can't see this happening .  too big almost 60% of the entire USA national debt.

I can see 10k a coin as 120 billion in worth  is about that of a top company   which with a widespread  net work can be true for BTC.    BTC has a weakness right now cex.io is fucking huge.   If they go poof BTC would take a big hit.

44379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can't place a trade on Vircurex..I'm new.. on: November 30, 2013, 02:09:11 PM
Greetings

I'm new to BTC and Vircurex ,

If any of you use or have used that platform to trade between crypto currencies then I have a Q for you. Is there any reason why I would not be able to place a trade after transferring BTC in and having it verified.

When I type in the quantity of say LTC that I wish to trade for, and the price of BTC/LTC the button to place the trade does not seem to work for me. There never seems to be a fee total at the bottom either.

ANyone know what could be the problem? A setting? I'm assuming the site allows trades 24/7 and that 0.07 BTC is enough for a trade.

Thanks for any responses in advance.

edit  you may be trying to trade for too much ltc with out enough btc on hand.

the .07 btc may be too small.

give me a minute to check.

I checked I have a screen shot of my page wait for it below. I have an order on hold   .1 ltc for  .035 btc

44380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's predict the end point of bitcoin~ on: November 30, 2013, 01:55:19 PM
nobody really knows.  in the long run or the short run.

top end won't go past 10k .  the   bottom  end worthless. -  a silly guess as I have no idea.

below is fact for usa taxpayers.

short term the last week of dec. and the first week of jan.  are key tax points for big winners and tax payment strategy

if you sell in dec you take the gain  this year.   and pay tax  in apr of 2014.

if you sell in jan   you take the gain next year and pay tax in apr of 2015.

so look for big moves in price dec 20 - jan 10
