4361  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $3 on: July 04, 2019, 06:46:46 PM
Someone will send you $5 on PayPal and you will buy me an airtime for $2?

I don't have PP and You could sent it to my btc but since its very low the money will b wasted on fees.

So, you hacked someone's PayPal account and after all that work it only has $5 in it?  Man what a drag.  So, you'll send me that $5 in exchange for me buying you $2 worth of Ethiopian Airtime?  250% ROI?  Who wouldn't do that?

I'll tell you who; people who want to promote honesty and integrity in the digital world, don't want to support hackers and thieves, and who's greed (all $3 worth) is less influential in their lives than their integrity.  Not to mention the eventual charge-back for the $5, leaving the person who "helps" you out the $2 sent to Airtime, the $5 you promise, and the $20 PayPal fee for processing the charge-back.

Interesting ploy, maybe it will work on people who fell off the turnip truck yesterday.  Here we tend to be more skeptical, and we look out for each other.  So, in other words, get lost.

4362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible to start something with what I have? on: July 04, 2019, 04:42:56 PM
Good morning people,

I'm new to the forum and I'm trying to raise some money to help with the month's bills.

Where I work, some computers are idle and connected all day without any use. I wondered if there was any way to harness them to mine some crypto[Suspicious link removed]d are the total 37 computers: i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10Ghz with 4gb ram.

All with internet access.

The company network is a little closed so there are not all the sites and programs that I can access. I also do not want to harm the company in any way (I love this place).

With the vast knowledge of you, considering that I have no cost with this equipment, is it possible to raise some money?

I work about 10 hours a day, but I can not stand still operating the operation (if at all possible), but I can use my interval to check, so I'm looking for something that is automatic.

Is there such a possibility

Assuming you don't have the owner's permission to use his computers for mining, using company resources for personal gain is called embezzlement, is considered financial fraud, and can be punishable by legal action.  Not to mention you will very likely lose your job if your boss finds out, putting you in an even tougher financial situation.

But to answer your question, yes there are plenty of coins which can be mined with CPUs and GPUs.
4363  Economy / Services / Re: WTB Negative trust on: July 04, 2019, 02:48:09 PM
yes its weird but i want a red on my account back to 2017~ my account is red and i love it llol

Asking to buy red trust isn't as weird as you think, it's obvious trolling which quite normal.  A really lame attempt at trolling, but obvious trolling.

wasting resources? Huh

Very much so.  This thread is a huge wast of time, effort, resources, and it's not amusing in the slightest.  I think you need trolling lessons.
4364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 03, 2019, 09:09:31 PM
In all fairness, try being the poor sucker journalist that has to write sensibly about Arsenal’s latest match, the Spratly islands, methamphetamine addiction in Bromley, the new All-New Ford Kuga, whisky tasting and Bitcoin.   And then be judged by experts in each area.

Shit is hard yo.

If Mr. England needs any help with Arsenal's latest match, whiskey tasting, and bitcoin, I volunteer!  Hell, I'll do the whiskey tasting article pro-bono, but that may prevent me from getting to the rest of the story.

Propaganda watchdog, DireWolfM14 warns that News Papers are not the unbiased, fair, and honest information delivery medium many assume them to be.  Most people today still believe that news outlets which deliver information through the use of paper products are trustworthy.  Studies by watchdog DireWolfM14 suggest, like their digital cousins these publications are wrought with bias, misinformation, omissions, and in some cases demonstrable lies.  "It's a tragedy that these organizations aren't held accountable for misleading people," DireWolfM14 stated in a recent interview.  "The fact that they can omit relevant information from a news story allows them the steer a certain narrative, and promote bias within their readership, a bias that may not develop if the readers were well informed."

When asked to provide a specific example DireWolfM14 was quoted as saying "Just pick up any news paper that has written an article or Op-Ed about bitcoin, and I'll prove to you the reporter is a shithead who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground."

I miss you guys!

I've been extremely busy at work lately; We have 5 new (burger flipping) machines to add to our production facility, and I'm the one managing all of these expansion projects.  It always seems to be that way, it's feast or famine when it comes to work load.  I commissioned one machine last month,  I have two more machines to christen this quarter, and two more in Q4.  It's going to be great to have some fresh machinery on the production floor, we've needed them for quite some time.

On top of that, I have a ton of home improvement projects I'm trying to finish this summer, so my weekends are booked as well.  Two of my kids are home from college this summer, and being the opportunistic guy that I am, I'm taking advantage of the (adult) child slave labor I have at my disposal.

All of that means little time to spend communing with my friends here on the forum.  So, please don't take it personally, because I really miss you guys.
In fact, I'm going through some withdrawals that remind me of quitting Copenhagen tobacco.  You fine folks really are that addictive.

Warning

Anyone thinking about lending money to MoonOfLife, I suggest you don't.  This is an alt account of a known ponzi promoter, with legitimate red-tags which may appear as non-trusted reviews.  MoonOfLife recently woke up from a long period of inactivity, and within a couple of days he's requesting more than $100 loan.  This appears to be an exit scam to me, and I recommend you avoid dealing with this account.

Every post you've ever made is in the lending board.  You have made several outlandish attempts to borrow huge amounts of money, while offering absolutely nothing to guarantee repayment.  Every time you've received negative reviews, and been told repeatedly that you will not get a single satoshi from anyone here.

Although persistence is a commendable trait, in this situation it's just annoying, and bordering on insanity.

4370  Economy / Reputation / Re: "They" took a break: discussion on: June 29, 2019, 03:21:24 PM
who are "they?"
why did they take a break?
does it make you wonder who they are and how they coordinated it at the same time? ("im on vacation they say")
consider the odds of TWENTY+ "different" people taking a break at the SAME time here...: all i can say is: hehe
is it interesting 50% of these people were DT farmers? (2017+ users tht ass licked)

winkidity winkidity winkidity Wink

edit: changed from bold text to normal, jetcash's suggestion made sense

Are you insinuating that folks with gaps in their posting history who claim to have taken a break are farmed accounts?  You have a pretty big gap in your posting history, from March 2016 to April 2019 you only made three posts.  Not a single post in all of 2018...  Are you an account farmer resurrecting one of your farmed accounts?

I don't know if you have trouble articulating your thoughts in English, or you are trying to be internationally vague and mysterious.  If it's your English, please try to explain yourself again.  If you think this is mysterious and amusing, you are quite wrong.

4372  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.01 BTC or ETH value loan with a collateral to offer on: June 29, 2019, 04:42:43 AM
My Collateral is a locked MPAY token worth of 180$ as written this post and some 19 erc-1155 collectibles , I  offer my wallet as an collateral

Those look like the shadiest exchanges that have this coin listed.  Two of the four exchanges listed aren't even being counted for volume on CMC.  I think it's safe to call MPAY a shitcoin...  Why don't you just dump it?

4374  Economy / Reputation / Re: DireWolfM14's Trust Setting and Tag Review on: June 28, 2019, 03:51:59 PM
If you were selling something such as alcohol or guns or something else some people do not like being sold, while following all relevant laws, and someone stole from you, I think you would be rightfully upset if the police had a confession from the thief, but declined pursue the matter -- you would probably be calling for the resignation or firing of the police chief.

I must admit you make a very compelling argument.  Although I do not condone account sales, and believe it compromises the security and safety of the community, I also understand why the activity is not explicitly banned.  Presenting bob123's actions in actual real-life legal presidents, it would be construed as entrapment.  If a law enforcement officer was to behave that way he would lose his job.  As unfortunate as it may be in a situation situation such as this his actions would be deemed as "going above the law" by comparison.

After some consideration I have decided to remove bob123 from my trust list.  I will not be excluding him, and @bob123, please don't take it personally.  I think you're doing a great job exposing account sellers, and I hope you continue to do so.  Having said that, you may want to reconsider the methods you have used in recent days.

4377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are the frogs gay? on: June 27, 2019, 08:23:58 PM
Gay?  Where does it say that Atrazine causes a change in sexual orientation?

The report says:

Quote
In male frogs, exposure to atrazine causes a kind of "chemical castration," causing them to develop female sex characteristics

If we're going to be technical female sex characteristics includes finding males attractive (in most cases.)  It's kind of a vague statement, but in this day and age political correctness could be the root of this intentional vagueness.  It's certainly worth learning more, and pressing the author of the report to elaborate.
