441  Other / Meta / Re: Why Same MERITED Rankers send Merits to themselves? on: May 06, 2020, 11:36:51 AM
I have the same problem that before that "how can I get a lot of merits like the legendaries that have over 500 merits". The only thing I need to do is only get a lot of knowledge and share into other users. All of the good posts have merit, no matter what is your rank. One of the common mistake of us before is one of our goals is to have merits but that is wrong because we need to have a good quality content post and the merit will automatically come.

I would like to share where do I got some of my merits and some of the thread giving some merits
1. Giving 25 Newbie/Jr. Members a Chance to Rank Up by Pmalek
2. 💥 [Merit Giveaway] - Post useful threads and earn merit by
Henri Cartier

3. [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source by LoyceV
4. Merit giveaway for newbie and jr members by Daniel91

And the other merits are came from the topic/thread I made that helps other users. I hope you can get some too soon.

Am Wow with this... I believe this will help lots of newbies coming into Bitcointalk forum to understand better on how to get Merits other than begging for it.

~
Now what is the difference for a legendary to MERIT another legendary who is already a legendary RANKER on this forum

This is a little off-topic.

Legendaries who are active in signature campaigns needs few merits too because campaign managers would require or prefer those who received xx amount of merits in the last 120 days. If they don't meet such requirement, the chances of them getting accepted is lower.

In your case, it's about the bounty Campaign they are running, while I am talking about having Merits when you are already a higher ranked member in the forum just like legendary to legendary.
442  Other / Meta / Why Same MERITED Rankers send Merits to themselves? on: May 05, 2020, 09:25:43 PM
Hello...

I have a question which concerned to merit? I came to notice that we have lots of newbies who are trying very hard to get merits here on this BITCOINTALK forum. With lots great topics that contributes and also supports to put this forum in a great shape in future. I believe legendary is the final rank on this forum Right?

Now what is the difference for a legendary to MERIT another legendary who is already a legendary RANKER on this forum, same goes to other SAME Rankers on the forum.

This alone I believe makes few low rank members in the forum ask this questions in their thoughts.

Please your REASONS for this welcomed...
443  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty task submission method on: May 05, 2020, 08:46:19 PM
As of bounty manager, I can tell it's not hard for a bounty manager to ask hunters to fill their data through google sheets, But many bounty managers tries not to do this as this will not give their bounty project much bumping each day. Only of this reason, they ask the user to post in the thread instead through google forms. Btw I used my own personal portal to ask the user to provide PoW, and you can see my bounty threads how clean they are.

I'm sure this was suggested by someone else back then (don't remember where is the thread and who was started this) but until now it's can't be done since sheet can be easily manipulated by BM (not saying is BM is manipulator or what) or anyone who can access the sheet.

But it really bored and annoying to see any bounty report on bounties section

Sorry to cut in, please I will like u to give the full meaning of PoW, and so true I love what you said someone was actually saying that spammers do mess up with the Spreadsheet, which I was thinking that spreadsheet that is been control by you since it your project how possible will that be, which it is still the team who manipulated the Spreadsheet in essence. Frankly speaking I enjoyed giving my reports Google form. I don't believe in bumping which is the believe of those BM who hand's the project or let's say the instructions given to them from the team.
444  Other / Meta / Bounty task submission method on: May 04, 2020, 01:20:11 PM
Greetings everyone, I came across some ideas I believe this should keep https://bitcointalk.org clean, why I said this, is due to the recent topic I made which quotes MULTIPLE deleting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245604.new#new) features that should be implemented IN THE POST HISTORY section here in the forum, which is for the Post we did on daily basis or in the past.

Now my suggestions goes like this BM managers should start making use of the GOOGLE REPORT FORM  for every BOUNTY CAMPAIGN that is been introduced to the forum other than posting our reports on the thread of the bounty Campaign these are the rules most BOUNTY CAMPAIGNS implement when running their campaigns. I have been into BOUNTY hunting for a long time and I get to measure the uses of Google form to report our task as a clean and easy method to be implemented.

UndecidedWithout saying much here I would like to have your thoughts or opinions over this, so we know if this process should be taken into consideration by the forum ADMINISTRATOR.
445  Other / Meta / Re: Multiple delete in activities section just like that of message section on: May 04, 2020, 12:02:12 PM
just like we have the message section where we can delete multiple of messages at a Go!
No, it is not feasible. Basically, the quick delete feature on your post history is only available for topics created by you. If this quick delete feature is implemented, I think it will be a bit conflicting  Cheesy
This will take only half an hour, which is nothing compared to time you spent spamming bounties.
He can take months to spam in bounty campaigns, but it only takes a few minutes to clean it up, even a day is good. I also support if he wants to clean his post history. But I wonder is that what he wants?
The reply i made in that very topic has the delete option in the post history unlike other replies
It's a bug I saw before, but I only now notice something else: I always thought I could use my own post history to quickly delete all posts (using middle-mouse, opening and deleting them in a background tab). I already knew the bug that I would see a Delete button in the post history of anyone who posted in my topics, even when they're not Self-moderated. But I only now found out that Delete button in my post history only appears with my own posts if I made them in my own topic!

That changes the solution a bit, but it's still pretty quick. Timmzzy: open a page in your post history, click each post you want to delete with your middle mouse button (this opens it in the background). When you have 20 open tabs, Ctrl-Tab through them, use your middle-mouse on the delete button, and close the tab (Ctrl-W). This will take only half an hour, which is nothing compared to time you spent spamming bounties.

I appreciate cleaning up your bountry trail Smiley

Since am not making use of computer. Am using a mobile phone which is just the method I applied using my Google chrome browser. But it's way too long having up 20 to 30 tabs open I mean that is the most complicated stressed, which will even mess up every other tabs (getting confused due to open tabs everywhere).

It is a nice feature to have especially if you are just deleting those you think are not worth of a post for example you joined on a giveaway on Games & Rounds board like just posting numbers or your username and those bounty posts as well. Since the feature isn't implemented yet I guess it's your due diligence to delete all those unnecessary post you think manually.

Exactly what am talking about just like that of the reports  we submit for bounty campaigns we run in the past. It's not worth floating around in the activities.

just like we have the message section where we can delete multiple of messages at a Go!

Cleaning up the post history of BOUNTY CAMPAIGNS we have done and other related reply we made: e.g (PROOF OF AUTHENTICATION) in the past is what I really look forward to get rid of, mind you not that we can't delete this post we have made so far but the process getting rid of them all at a Go!. It's likely easy using the computer but not on mobile phone devices.
446  Other / Meta / Re: Multiple delete in activities section just like that of message section on: May 04, 2020, 01:45:59 AM
It's very likely this topic has ever been discussed before.
Sometime back i noticed the delete button appears in one's post history if they started a topic and made replies in that very topic. The OP's replies in that very topic will have that delete button but the replies to other topics will not have anything.

For example; i started this topic: Secret Question Help link disabled, Why?

The reply i made in that very topic has the delete option in the post history unlike other replies

I am not sure of the significance of it.

That is the reply you made definitely it can be deleted instantly as you (reply) or (quote) any ones post. Now the option am pointing at if you definitely look at those images properly is the aspects where by we go about weekly post in the past like; where we have to post a report of this format:

That's for bounties campaign we have run in the past, dont you think this feature should be implemented in other to reduce them. If am not mistaken yes I know once you create a new topic it can't be deleted, which if this features should be implemented it will definitely indicate topics that should or can be deleted and can't be deleted.
447  Other / Meta / Multiple delete in activities section just like that of message section on: May 03, 2020, 10:18:54 PM
Few features I will like https://bitcointalk.org to include; just like we have the message section where we can delete multiple of messages at a Go! Same action I would have love to see in the activities section let me drop some images for you all to understand what am talking about:
https://imgur.com/gallery/QXPTPTL

The image in the URL indicates the outlook on (Message page) page and that of (show post page)

Please your opinion is needed on this...
1. If the delete multiple should be introduced to the show post
2. Or if it shouldn't be introduced to the show post page just like that of the message page.
448  Other / Meta / Re: View forum on mobile on: May 03, 2020, 08:25:37 PM
I was even having this taught About Bitcointalk forum, as in the side of (activities) one can't delete several or multiple activities at a Go! Just like that of messages you can tick up the ones you want to delete and once done you click delete all and it's gone but on the activities you can. I want this action to be included.

450  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why are Africans not using cryptocurrencies? on: April 30, 2020, 07:04:09 PM
Africa is a developing continent, and despite the world leading search interest for cryptos, the continent still lags behind the rest of the globe in everyday cryptocurrency use and adoption. The continent is home to over 50 percent of the world’s mobile money services, but while the use of internet has risen exponentially in the past twenty years, users from Africa account for just ten percent of the global total. I can personally attest to the challenge of internet connections across Africa. The connection is either poor, slow or even non-existent at times. At times, accessing internet on your handset for the mere purpose of communicating with people or even carrying out transactions becomes a challenge, and this is one of the reasons why most people in Africa are not as enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies.

Some governments have been skeptical and reserved and, in some cases, unreceptive to the use of digital currencies. Countries such as Zimbabwe and Namibia have reportedly begun with a hard stance, and in Kenya, the central bank of Kenya has restricted the use of digital currencies because of their unregulated nature. Nigeria’s Central Bank has rejected the use of cryptocurrencies claiming that its citizens will be at risk of fraudulent schemes, but it is yet to release a whitepaper on their take.

https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2019-04-08-blockchain-and-cryptocurrency-regulation-in-africa/

Another factor that holds back cryptocurrency use in Africa is that very often you will see Initial Coin Offerings targeting countries from literally all other continents BUT Africa. In cases where African countries are receptive to the idea of digital currency, most governments are slow with its adoption mainly because they fear for their young citizens or due to the crop of old leaders who cannot picture a future without paper cash.

https://www.africa.com/cryptocurrency-regulation-africa-slowly-picking-up-the-pace/

Adoption of cryptocurrencies is a work in progress for most African nations, but with time it could become the most used method of payment. I live for that day!

I won't say that crypto is not known yet in Africa, previously I came across images/video clip
of bitcoin ATM in Africa https://youtu.be/du2v8JjFQdk which I so believe it will come to a full existence
451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using a trading bot? on: April 30, 2020, 06:48:39 PM
I'm using BitUniverse's Grid Trading Bot, and I think it's really good to buy low and sell high everyday for me, cause the market is fluctuating recently. More importantly, it's totally free and supports 20+ exchanges like Binance. Any more bots are you using? Please recommend.  Huh

Trade wisely when using bots, I believe this trading bot ain't free at your end you most have paid a fortune to get it. Have not made use of trading bot before even up till date. I only base on analysis with other professional traders. And to be on a safer side over my funds.
452  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies/Jr.Members and the Investigation board. on: April 29, 2020, 11:13:08 PM
What happens when a newbie/jr.member have some personal data of a supposed scammer and want to post it?

Often desperate people who got scammed, who have no accounts on the forum register here just with the hope they can get their funds back. They do a lot of research off the forum and sometimes the information they got it is sensitive but they have no access to Investigation board.
What happens then, shall we punish the newbie for posting sensitive info which is desperately trying to do everything possible to cover, or let it be like it is now? Gaining access to everyone to the Investigation board is also not a solution?

Fresh example >

It is sad to hear that you have deposited a big amount in a scam exchange. I don't know how many more people like you have lost their funds in this exchange. I have seen this happen before, people deposit in any exchange without checking anything, as a result of which they later fall in to scams. I hope people will be stay away from such exchanges. Scammers always try to come up with new ideas so that they can easily scam.

I think in this case localcoin.is didn't set out to scam from the start, I reckon he genuinely thought he could clone bitshares and make a bunch of money. I think he decided to scam / exit scam when he realised after over a year that he just wasn't going to make any money.

The project lead Dmitry Khorushko is a real person and I am working to hold him personally accountable.

Dmitry Khorushko face picture:
---image removed---

Permit me to say that most of this scammers we have around us is not only from the forum, let's say most projects on this forums their team workers do take most hunters information to scam newbies who are just getting in the crypto atmosphere and secondly Exchangers we share our personal information with. I will urge people to do proper investigation before Letting Go! Of your private or personal information online.
453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction in the next days? on: April 29, 2020, 11:05:17 PM
I bet those are speculations, just trust on your speculations of how the market will be in the upcoming week, to me I see a correction already last week was really red. And all altcoin with bitcoin and ETH has just picked up the bull run. Just have fingers crossed and follow up some F.A.
454  Other / Meta / Re: Can we trust user that spread false and dangerous news on COVID19? on: April 28, 2020, 07:39:03 AM
I don't really know why most people derived joy or happiness hurting other people. Conscience is not regarded. I will suggest that those topics or threads they have created should be taken off the forum in other not to endanger more lives to panic over them. This fake news alone do cause death when it supposed not to be so.
455  Other / Meta / Re: how to save bitcointalk account without band ? on: April 28, 2020, 07:32:03 AM
Please rephrase what you said it's BAN not BAND, actually to avoid getting ban on https://www.bitcointalk.org stay away from airdrops post, better still read about forum rules.
456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: April 28, 2020, 07:28:36 AM
In your own speech you said you buy even when the price is up, I will like say that's not a good strategy when. Buying bitcoin or any other coin. Now I was taught to buy when market is low and sell off when it's high which is base on my T.a also with the help of F.a as well. I believe you know what T.a and F.a means in other words. Now this have nothing to do if you buy at every month.
457  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Opinion needed on something regarding COVID-19 Pandemic on: April 26, 2020, 11:20:48 PM
Out here in Africa the hunger rate is even killing faster than the covid19. Now looking at those poor families who barley feed 3 square meals a day how will they manage, out here in Africa we are been promised lots of things but not all are coming through. Am not condemning any but am believing this case will come and go.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Security in Crypto Matters? on: April 26, 2020, 11:13:01 PM
Without saying much, or prolonged this question, have you ever wondered why you need secure your funds in bank. I believe you don't just worked hard for it and at the end of every savings you have made an outsider will just wipe off everything. So definitely security in crypto-currency really matters alot.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 25, 2020, 11:11:56 PM
I came to know CMC at my early stage of trading crypto and also using it to analyse the market I don't know too well about CoinGecko. Which i will bring and idea for the owners of this website (CoinGecko) to recheck and put things right. The both get bullshit in overtime and you end up getting wrong information about a coin or an Exchanger.
460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 25, 2020, 11:00:53 PM
The major reason people ran away from trading is lack of trading education, adding to that they also have this mindset that is a sharp sharp money, as in other words the money will come in within a blink of an eye. Not knowing that trading really needs time and lots of patience.
