The original thread starter does not come to this thread very often because of cancer filled comments. Want something answered? ask it on discord. Too many trolls and toxic people here calling it a scam, why should he have to waste his time arguing with people like you?

Discord is a Circle Jerk where you get banned for not touting the party line. Freedom of speech comes with these drawbacks. Welcome to a place you can speak your mind and you won't be banned for it.

I've been on their discord channel for quite some time, and the only folks I saw get banned were the jerks who added nothing but ad hominem attacks and insults to anyone and everyone they could. Phil asked essentially the same hard questions he asked here and got some answers but not banned. He surely was not following the party line.

That is not true. I was banned for wanting to sell my 8x 1070ti rig for 1 fpga 1525. I thought it was a fair trade due to the high demand in refunds and I was willing to trade their risk. They got insulted and banned me. That is unacceptable and I expect more professional behavior if selling expensive products. That's not how you treat your future customers that want to buy in

Just to prove to everyone that you're just an internet troll here's the full context of his conversation on discord.

did anyone release a video card in supportxmr.com
miner  AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8
bat file?

That does not work , it still is looking for the pools.txt file

Not sure what you are trying to do but here is an example on the first page.

I'm off XMR v8, its not worth the extra time tweaking, heat, and power draw.  Also I have seen quiet a few posts of people frying their Vegas because they were already pushing to the max of what the GPU can handle, so be careful.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 19, 2018, 07:20:42 PM
can anyone help me, after switching from monero7 to monero8, my hashrates went from 2156 to 1275. what extra stuff is needed with this fork to get my hashrates back please?
Yes. read a few pages back in the thread.

instead of being a wise-ass, you could just help out. there's 238 pages. a few pages back could mean alot

instead of being a dumb-ass, you could just read like everyone else.

Anyone see the nethash difference on XMR?   On nanopool from 138Gh to just 33Gh after fork.....   how many asic bricks do you think are out there now?

https://miningpoolstats.stream/monero

Looks like half the hash got lopped off the network, but yeah we won't know for sure until the difficulty adjustment subsides.

Using SRBminer I'm getting 1940H/s for my 56 references flashed to 64 1407/1100 clocks, and each of them are using about +20w.  So around 160w using soft power play mod.  They are running pretty hot compared to v7 though.
Sapphire pulse 580 4GB's are still running 1000H/s, but +10watts, again temps are up so i've had to increase fan speeds from 24% TO 33% to compensate.  Not sure how I feel about the extra wattage yet we'll just have to wait for 24hr earnings to see I guess.

1000 h/s for an rx ?! my 580s max at 850 using
1200/1975 and eth straps.  With stock straps its even lower

Yeah i had some mixed memory 8GB 580's that wouldnt budge past 870H/s.  My pulse 580 4GB are just tweaked to perfection with Hynix mem and strapped for cryponote not eth.  I have a separate BIOS for when they used to run Eth.
I just thought it was strange only Vega's took the big Hash hit, maybe the miners will get more optimized down the road.  I might even just switch the vega's to something else, we'll see what profits are like.

How to reduce single RPM? I have 6 cards, all near 60 degrees, but fans one of them have much more RPM than anothers.

Set a specific config for the problematic GPU with overdriventool.

Ok so I seem to get pretty much the same hashrate on v7 and v8 on my RX 570s.

59/8/2 for v7, 1225 core, 1940 mem = 955-960 h/s
57/16/2 for v8, 1225 core, 1940 mem = 955-960 h/s

Took me a while to achieve stability (one of my cards is starting to get flaky - EDIT: or is there any chance memory errors could be caused by bad risers?) but this seems to hold for now.

Next up: The Vega's.

Wish me luck...

I would check the power connection... unplug it and check the connecter to make sure the connector hasn't started melting (a sign of high current draw)
Yeah makes sense. I haven't physically checked on this rig for a while now. But I've had a few melted power connectors in the past so I'll have a look.

Talking about power... CNv2 (Monerov8) does use quite a bit more. Getting very close to the acceptable limit on my 1500W PSU on that 6x Vega rig. I need to undervolt a tad more.

I'd suggest finding a good soft power play mod.  You can really dial in wattage usage better than just power limiting in ntool.

what is ste optimal frequency for rx 570 and voltage?

I would start testing with these clocks:
Core: 2250/950
Mem: 1950/950

2250 core? Good way to blow up your 570  Roll Eyes  Probably meant 1250.

hello im mining with:
6x rx 570 4gb
windows 10 x64
srbminer 1.6.8
1150/850 + 2000/850 (memory vary as range for all 6 is 1950-2050) elpida/hynix. my point is, it was stable for ethereum, i switched for lite v7 earlier today and later today wanted try V7 also, but now the gpus/miner throw warning like gpu xxx is mining 0H/s. and it happen for one or for all. any idea why it is happening? how to fix it?

Eth bios mods and memory straps arent the best for cryponote algos. so you'll need to re-tune to find what works best.

456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: October 08, 2018, 12:56:02 AM
How do you define doorstepper? Something with long ROI, or something which cannot earn at least for its electricity?
VCUs electricity cost is still under 20% of earned amount for all the already released algos (and the more profitable algos are only going to come).

But difficulty is only ever going to go up as newer and better hardware is continuously coming along, which means that short ROI always turns into long ROI, and long ROI turns into a never ROI.

You forget ROI's can change dramatically with price of coin.  Never know in that 2 year ROI BTC shoots back up to 20k.

Did you ever think about running a separate mining instance for your crappy 570's or just throwing them away?

Dont have any options for that, but when this rig has been mining its basically been only mining on the rx580's and putting the rx570's under load doing ABSOLUTELY nothing and problem is that miner shows hashrate despite never giving new work.

Edit, did you mean running 2 instances of the miner? one with specified rx580's and one with rx570's? cause thats something i would try right now.

Yes that is what i meant.  You use the -G command to run specific GPU's for one miner and the other.

I asked for refund  of about 0.13 btc to my account https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

I have a lot of screen shots etc

I will post when I get my refund.

I was waiting to see your personal results before diving in myself, but I can't blame you wanting a refund with all the excuses and delays.
