443  Other / Meta / Re: Why cant we tip others in bitcoin in the bitcoin forum? on: June 15, 2016, 07:29:47 AM
Has this been covered? It seems strange that we cant tip other members for quality posts that help us. Is this being considered?
Everyone can add their bitcoin address to either their profile (there's an extra section for that) or to their signature for example.
There's nothing keeping you from sending tips to the addresses other users got in their profiles via the blockchain (/your wallet).
As a result, I don't see the need for any forum-based tip implementation when we got the best tool for it already at hand.

Nono. The best tool would be to allow us to deposit btc on the forum and just like we can click ignore on someone we can also click on tip and send him a few staoshi. That would be the best and it would keep the signatures clean from everyone's address.

Nono. The best would be to keep your bitcoins in your wallet until you need to spend them.

To anyone interested in statistics, like how many coins there are etc..

Unofficial BTCC Coin Tracker: https://anduck.net/bitcoin/btcc_coins.html

The data is updated every hour.

Nicely done - really great work.

Most of the coins are sold.
Price reduced on the football coin.
446  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Graded or Ungraded on: June 13, 2016, 10:49:31 AM
The old Casascius brass are hard to find in good shape. Back in 2011 was Casascius coins not really collectibles yet - and bitcoin was only worth a few dollars, so these was carried around in pockets and passed around. Not too many of them was kept in mint condition, this is one of the reason why there are not many old high grade brass in circulation.
If you have an old Casascius brass coin and it is in pristine condition then would it be worth grading it for sure.

Edit:
This post pretty much sums up Casascius premium value back in 2012:

Theres a day in my life Ill never forget.

I had a roll of 60x 2011 error coins, back in 2012. This was back when Bitcoin was around $13.

These coins were literally hanging around our office, on everyones desks, we'd give them away, throw them around, whatever

We were moving offices and for some reason I peeled off the hologram of EVERY coin and redeemed the private keys I dont know why I did it. I may have been in a mood to condense my Bitcoin into 1 spot and I literally sat there for two goddam hours redeeming those coins.

I felt so satisfied after, like 'Yes, now my Bitcoin is all in a wallet together'

Let me buy the digital coin?

Pardon me for asking, why would you be interested in that?

Cheers Smiley

I think it has to do with the mining of the BTC straight from the block to the coin.
It is "fresh" minted BTC.
I could be wrong? .....

thanks

The coin would lose its innocence forever as soon as MJ put his dirty hands on its tx.
There is no such thing as almost virgin.

*Could sound like something from a gossip magazine but I assure you, the content of this post is strictly of technical nature  Cheesy

Btw. is there any reason why you raffle organizers don't make the list in numerical order? It makes my eyes bleed Cheesy
449  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Bitcoin on: June 11, 2016, 08:27:57 AM
Are Casascius coins still popular and in demand? I haven't read too much talk about them in a while. Or I may just be looking in the wrong place.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Not sure about demand, but i saw not so long ago someone started making them again.
As good quality as was Casascius coins. Prices are not that bad, im sure u will find it.

wat

I have a single going that I'm considering selling but I'm hanging on to it for now. It's graded too.

I can give you a hint about what kinda price you can expect in the current market, if you give me the details of the coin.

Makes you realize that "we" (as in greedy bitcoiners) gave them money up front to develop their ASIC's.
Without people buying preorders, KnC would have been nothing.

Hello,
I'd like to get the number 42 if it's still available. Cheesy
(Some say it might hold the answer to Bitcoin, to Satoshi and The Halving.)

Otherwise, the lowest number available will do. Smiley

Thanks in advance !

Its common knowledge that the answer to life the universe and everything is equal to 42.

wow is the .5 silver ms69 really worth more than the 1btc silver ms69?

2.75BTC is a real good offer!
maybe the price is a bit to low for my opinion Smiley

Thank you for the bump Cheesy

Its the buyers market right now, demand are lower than the supply.
Actually there are many great Casascius deals on the marketplace right, so from that perspective is it a good time to pick up Casascius.

The 1 BTC MS69 is reserved.

I will consider trades with any Casascius item in good condition, especially brass coins.
456  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ❎ ~ LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER MONERO (XMR) - 3-coin sets ~ ⭕️ on: June 06, 2016, 01:14:09 PM
Wow, well done smoothie, these coins are really something that sticks out.
I love the design and the way you have incorporate the tribal pattern and 0/1 pattern over and under the M.

I never gave Monero much thought "just another alt", but if you have put so much time and effort into XMR, then must it be worth spending some time reading a bit more about what it is that makes Monero special.

When that is said, I think the Monero community should send you donations for this stunning work and not the other way around Cheesy

Good luck with the sales Smiley

I am interested in one of the redeemed coins but can anyone tell me if these can be refunded with a new hologram logo?

Nothing prevent you for creating your own private key and place it under your own hologram and in this way refund the coin.

I don't assume you mean refund them with a new original Casascius hologram, there was a time were mike did this service but that is long time ago, and for sure not an option any more.
For obviously reason are there no "spare" Casascius hologram floating around, that would be a serious security breach.

Reminded me of Nightowlace answer to a similar question, lol Cheesy

Do you by anny chance have a set of extra hologram sticker for casascius coin? In This case pm me would be very interested in buying one

Yeah sure let me pull out my spare roll of Casascius Holograms. You want the 2011 error ones?  Roll Eyes
458  Economy / Collectibles / Re: UPDATED![WTS]Crypto Imperator's "Super BTC" 1 Oz Silver Coin 0/25 available on: June 04, 2016, 03:41:32 PM
I received mine yesterday!

I was positively surprised, the coin is stunning and the pictures in OP does not do this coin justice.

I have tried to capture the beauty of this coin:

The theme of this coin is very relevant to the current events in bitcoin exchange rate: Obverse side looks like a safe, obviously is security an issue when the value of bitcoin increase.
The theme continues on the reverse side, the classic CI holograms works perfectly with the current situation as you from an angle can see the rocket going to the moon.

wow is the .5 silver ms69 really worth more than the 1btc silver ms69?

Yes sir

The 0.5 silver does not grade well, finding a high grade 0.5 silver is much harder than finding a high grade 1.0 silver.

If you look at the population report; there currently 81 x MS69 and 16 x MS70 of the 1.0 BTC silver. While there are only 37 x MS69 and 6 x MS70 of the 0.5 BTC silver.
