Beautiful Kialara bars you got there. They look great! Such a piece of art. Good luck with the sale! Whatever you do don't let TookDk get you started collecting PCGS graded Pandas - he got me hooked really bad on those!
Yeah, between him and snarlipill I think I'm now interested as well... The forum is not Panda-land... yet... Hopefully that will change in the future These are mostly traded on Ebay (those fee's.... they are insane). The great thing about Panda is that it is never too late to "get in": Get the current year in MS69 or MS70 (MS70 is highly recommended), get them around the summer. The price is high just when the first graded coins come out, then will the market settle a bit when everybody got their coins. Already the next year will the price slowly start to increase. Liberty coins always have current year in both MS69 and MS70.

Awesome that they were blessed with a free pass into the CLAM family Good luck! Actually all Casascius and most the Lealana coins have CLAM. Kinda overlooked when the physical coins are traded. You're right, all physical coins that were funded (above dust) on may 12th 2014 have CLAM. I wonder if there are people that will redeem the private key (for the loaded BTC) and to redeem the CLAM now, or maybe later when CLAM goes up and up and up. I think for the MicroSoul coin you could redeem the private key now to redeem both BTC and CLAM. The coin still has it brass/gold value and you can use it as a DIY coin again (you only need a new tempered-sticker). Casascius coins will at this stage not be redeemed, unless you see a very quick rise in price in a very short time (like in Nov 2013), if we in 1 month saw a 10x in exhange rate then will some of the coins be redeemed for sure. The clam value is insignificant for Casascius at this point, since the majority of the value lies in the rarity and grade, not so much the face value. Perhaps the 2013 Brass coin is an exception. The clam value is only relevant for coins that potentially can be redeemed, I sold 2x Lealana 10LTC coin (with minor damages) on auction a few weeks ago, the starting bid was 0.5 (which came from the LTC value, Clam value and the silver spot price). Happy that someone picked them up, since it is so painful for a collector to redeem these old coins.

Hi, serp and thanks for your kind answer. I bought it at the States, via eBay. I also asked the seller and he answered me... I got the full public address... it was glued inside the protection of the coin... Thanks again for your support. Rui Hey ct1aic,
Did you create it yourself with serpcoin software? If so there is a file saved (named addr.sav) which stores just the coin # and the full bitcoin addresses.
I know there are a few people who were selling them on ebay put together already. If you bought it that way you will need to contact the person you bought it from. I sell them as Do It Yourself kits only so, unfortunately, I can't help you there.
I would not recommend that you never fund the coin. Unless you really really really really really trust the person you have bought it from. Much better to buy a few fresh hologram from serp and assemble the coin with a private key that you have created. I would offer to send you a hologram for the price of a stamp, but unfortunately I don't have any left.

Hi , i'm new to the whole physical bitcoin coins , does this coin your selling have real value since I heard some don't , if yes , could you specify pls , thanks Value is something important, but the most important thing is the metal it was made from and how fast can you sell it to a noob! Most of the physical crypto coin sellers in the marketplace section are honest people who are not trying to hustle newbies. I don't find LazerViking's price unreasonable.

As a collector, I don't store BTC on paper wallets or coins anymore. To me, I would much prefer a nicer product like the last edition, and leave the private keys with the OP. I would pay a premium for a nicer product, and only require one note vs 5.
It boils down to what a person wants physical cryptos for. Storing bitcoin and wanting a DIY solution or having something with all the bells and whistles for collectability.
Wondering how your store your coins nowadays then? Personally I still use the good old paper wallet, since I can easily make one with higher entropy than any digital solution and make it completely offline, properly a bit overkill - but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to store bitcoins like that. I also use bitcoin-core and mycelium, basically I don't rely on one type of wallet/medium alone.

Just ordered one (face palm) to "celebrate" the Anniversary Happy Anniversary Mt.Gox LOL. The facepalm is the obverse- so you get both the lovely MK and Mister Picard 2 for the price of 1, can't complain about that Would be pretty epic to have a coin with the double facepalm; both Jean Luc and Number 1

Guys, when pricing/valuing coins do you take the market exchange rate into account at time of trade? Or is it strictly btc amount?
I.e. As of now, the exchange rate is ~10% lower than a week ago - if an MS68 Cas coin sold for 4btc a week ago, all other things being equal, would another same MS68 coin be worth 4.4btc today, or still 4btc?
Opinions on exchange rate...
Casascius is mostly traded in bitcoin not dollar. Interesting enough is the price more or less constant in terms of bitcoins. E.g. 1 BTC Silver cost 2.2-2.5 BTC now at 1 BTC = 265 USD, the price was the same 1 year ago when 1 BTC = 500 USD. There is a trend; when bitcoin exchange goes up, then does the price of Casascius also go up a bit. This is because, higher bitcoin prices attracts new bitcoiners - some of them will look to buy Casascius coins, thus increasing the demand.

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
OP updated to reflect the sale of 1Ag1 MS66 Silver.
Congrats to the new owner! I just packed it up and I am being honest when I say it really is a very nice coin! If I didn't want some different Cas coins I wouldn't have sold it. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I packed up a 1Ag1 the other day too. I try not to get too emotional attached to my coins, but it is hard with the 1Ag1's.
