Karma will eventually get you Mark.
462  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Collectable auctions can be posted in this section! Use [Auction] tag. on: June 02, 2016, 08:50:46 AM
I like the non-edit function in the Auction sections a lot.
It makes you think twice before bidding since you know there is no way back.
However I don't think it will be an issue in the collector community, most people here are honest and fair.
I will try posting my next auction in "Collectibles" as Cyrus recommend. I will most likely make a rule that it is under no circumstances allowed to edit a post. I know that it would be convenient to be able to make a small correction in a post, but for trace-ability and openness do I urge bidders not to edit their posts in auctions.

If I run an auction, then do I normally quote the post with the highest bid when I make a time warning, this will document the current high post, no matter if the bidder edit the post.

When all this is said, I do see an advantage to have the auctions in the collectible thread. But I almost feel sorry for the auction section - they will no longer have the pleasure to watch the bid wars that some times happen when a rare Casascius item is up for auction, it is really interesting to watch (even if not bidding). Especially when comparing to those lame account auctions, I almost feel embarrassed on the behalf of the bitcoin community when I from time to time see what going on in one of those threads. At the end of the day, those type of auctions is properly the ones that need the non-edit function the most.

465  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Lealana 0.25 BTC Silver / Cryptolator 1 BTC Silver / Coinographic 1 LTC on: May 31, 2016, 03:52:13 PM
Because of your thread I just checked my Coinographic coin and it was loaded until 2016-05-24. They emptied the coin a week ago, which means that they kept the private keys. I'm not surprised though.

There is a whole thread about it over at litecointalk.
People with 25 LTC coins should really redeem them now if they have not already done it.
466  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins and Crypto-Currencies on: May 31, 2016, 10:58:58 AM
elianite, you know what would be nice? A list of all the coins you have in your book with checkboxes next to them. That way I can tick the checkbox for the coins that I have and know exactly which ones I still need to buy/find/get.

I'm glad you all like it! I took care to use a premium color option, as well as extra-thick pages. I'm glad I chose the matte cover & photos as opposed to glossy!

Keep the feedback coming!

Also, the Signature Edition books are now all signed and the holograms are attached. On monday or tuesday they will be sent to minerjones for distribution.

Yup... I received the box of all the books from Mike Caldwell yesterday.  Sadly there were no extra goodies thrown in like some spare coins or bars.

I'm assembling all of them now and will get them out Monday morning.

Very sad, he could at least have included a few free 1000 BTC coins and bar for you  Cheesy
