any idea when cryptsy will finish the wallet maintenance?
Apparently, they had a pretty serious disaster going on. Probably tomorrow, maybe later today. Wallet is back up Yes, and my account was credited.

Has anyone been able to withdraw NET from crypsty?
The wallet is in maintenance, they are probably staking our coins. Same with TEK its down

So you do merge block to get larger block, right? If you get lots of smaller block, you merge them until they mint?
It took some time but, yes, I merged small blocks to big ones and do so when they stake for several reasons: - Because TEK has no min stake reward, blocks can be as big as you want and still get max stake. 30 day maturity also allows me to shut down the wallet for extended periods -- not so great for the network, though. - Big blocks gain weight fast, which equals quick staking. - I like to watch difficulty for max percentage reward. It is easier with big blocks as there are fewer of them. Why not just one huge block? If I delay a block from staking, I will earn more coins but lose on compounding. I think on average I delay only half my big blocks. YMMV. - Many small blocks will raise difficulty, giving you less reward. - Many small blocks demand more resources from your computer. - Security wise, I think my strategy is safer since I only unlock my wallet a short time to stake as opposed to leaving it open 24/7. (We really need unlock for POS only GUI toggle.) - I feel like a stud with big blocks. Seriously, it's just my strategy. You do whatever works for you. Cheers. I had one big block before, but then I noticed it cause the market to drop a lot if I want to dump part of my stake. So I decided to split my entire big block so I will have a stake on daily basis.

If anyone is curious about how Elon Musk feels about Bitcoin... His views, only about 6 months old so fairly recent: https://youtu.be/fPsHN1KyRQ8?t=32m59sThere might be something newer, but I'm not aware of it I know Elon, his success is stolen from other people's work. I wouldn't take his opinion too seriously Thank You,Viz.There are only a handful of people who are entirely on their own. I'm sure there are a ton of people he took ideas from, but equally as many that are using his patent free designs, in the spirit of Nikola He basically made it open source Plus I just like his style. Fuck the promises, just show progress I like to connect Elon Musk's little adventure with the Tesla car to the start-up adventures of the Asic manufactures. Stick with me here... There was massive community out cry during the Tesla car start-up days, First he open the door with "Pre-orders" and they sold-out very quickly. Than there was delay after delay after delay, Than he told all the pre-order folks they needed to pay a extra 20%(dont know the real percentage) or they would go bankrupt and not be able to build any. Than before they ever shipped there first batch of Tesla Cars, the company made a public announcement talking about there new Tesla 2.0 in the works. The community began to scream "Vapor ware!" Can you guys see the similarities Sounds like BFL hahahha

What can be done to revive this coin from a technology perspective?
There is probably much that could be done. What kind of features do people want? Do other coins have those features that we could join up with them instead? IFC was an interesting coin because within 2 years its block reward dropped off to near zero and in the process we can see what happened to it. Hence why I have called for a fork that takes existing wallets and converts the coins to the new IFC where they convert at some rate say 1 new IFC for every 10 (number subject to change) and then change the emission rate. How about something new? Say, as hashpower increases/decreases block reward increases/decreases maintaining a % / ratio to to that hashpower. To make this work reduce the possibility of Asics. Change the algo to Cryptonight, making transactions anonymous unless a public transaction key is released. Look at Monero for guidance. Anyone else have something to offer? Adding PoS is always great

What is the PoS rate on BTB?

I downloaded the 1.8.8 wallet and it is not getting any connections and not syncing
any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Why does the wallet (2.2.0.0 Windows) try to stake before the block chain is fully downloaded. I open my wallet every week or so to sync/stake and when my weight is much greater than the network I have had the block chain fork. This requires a complete re-download of the chain. Is this normal behavior? lock your wallet and once the sync is complete, unlock it to stake.

The problem is most 99.9% of bct users judge a coin by its price. when really it should be judged on the dev and the strength of the network. Now 10k has one hell of a dev and one of the strongest networks around. So to me 10k is and has done much better than most attempts at a crypto currency. If we could just find a price where people are happy to buy and sell then things should go up. i mean one great feature of this coin is how quickly it transacts and the profit accumulated by staking. Rember bitcoin was worth 0 sats 0 $ 0£ 0¥ 0€ at one point and one guy bought a pizza with 10k btc. Just because it has a low markwt cap doesnt mean a coin is dead. it just means lots of stupid people got greedy. And this is a problem with our race not currencies Edit the coin is what 3-4 sats and you know what im still staking hard 10k never will be the BTC, never. Neither will approach the BTC.. Nobody is going to take and use a coin that is called Experiment. True, the Network is good but that without a support price more than 100,000,000,000 coins is the same as not having anything. Block 360.000 and what??? Then a lot of people will stop stacking. Some super secret??? Someone was selling and won several BTCs..... The reality is that. The things that I say are obvious. As I said a week ago, I personally would make a contrasplit or a swap. That would raise the price and appetite to buy. The Network was done for all and the price doesn´t give us any advantage over anyone else. An alt more. A swap with some ratio to lower the coin circulation and a name change. Then I believe we will have a good coin, the experiment pushing the network to the max so far is working good, we can move to the next level now.

Egads! Someone just threw 260th at tekcoin.
That will kill the difficulty for a minute... without POS, that would be a serious problem. PoS difficulty is through the roof it is at 0.01337379 I wonder what is the % on that level

|
|
If the coin can be forked and add PoS to it.

Hi, how long it should take to mature the coin? i have 2.4 M coins in my wallet with 8 active connetions, open it for almost 24 hours but still i have to wait for next 12 hours before i get my first stake. It's that normal? Would it be a problem if i run 2 stake ( different coin) at the same time?
New coins has to be in the wallet for 24 hours before it starts to stake. They should stake soon.
