This one is not being used as a miner at the moment.  Grin

I only made it, because of the claims that this algo is GPU resistant. Well... it is not and probably no matter what kind of algo they come out with, GPU will always have slight advantage over CPU. Simply because, it is better in parallel computations. And if you make single hash calculation very expensive so that it has hard times running on GPU, then even CPUs will struggle, not to mention older PCs with slower CPUs - that would render wallet not being useful anymore.

GTX 980 Ti uses 200W (at wall) to produce ~1.3 kH/s. CPU using same power produces ~0.4 kH/s. GPU is therefore approx 3 times more efficient.

Well my miner hashes at ~600H/s with E5-1650v3 @ 115W, that is pretty close to your efficiency. Smiley
And will this miner be open to public or kept private?

How long does it take for you guys to sync from scratch and how much cpu usage does it take?
Is there any plans for making syncing more easy on low end computers?
How long will it take when/if coin is 1year old??

Happy staking!

There is a bootstrap available.
Yes iknow, question have other motives for finding out this.

Do you still need a video on setting up masternodes?
I can do it within the next days if you still want/need it.
To the ones wanting to donate for this, how many coins do you want to donate for this?
Will do it anyway, to help out new investors wanting to setup nodes.
Happy staking/masternoding!

my 8bit Masternode not working.

http://explorer.8-bit.party/address/8GvBpWXhVVbYLYP2KzT6p64SYvckBj9ag7

not capable masternode: Could not connect to XXXXXXXXX

i did everything but failed any help.

other coin masternode working perfect,

Try this, one step at a time until it starts again
1.Make sure that port is open in your router.
2. change the rpc port in config file, this often happends when running several nodes on same system.
3. change the port

Hope this helps,

Maybe someone could make a  video on how to set up a masternode..single and multiple node. I would donate to this cause.
Hi guys
I can make that video when i get back from holiday in 9days.
Reason to wait is i only have my laptop with me, and dont run any nodes from this comp.
I could setup nodes from this comp too, but dont have coins available to do so.
To the ones getting error msg, try to change rpcport first, if this fails, try another of the forwarded ports you have available. (make sure the ports you are trying to use is actually open...
Several times i had to change rpc port in config to get wallets running again.

Happy staking/masternoding Smiley

So downloaded wallet let sync, pressed engage.. 3 hours later nothing...

Think we're doing it wrong. Must be a miner to run along it, i just dont know the steps
What cpu spec you have?
Did cpu usage increase when pressing engage mining?
You could co into conole and type in:setgenerate true x
Where x is the number of cores you want to mine with.
Hope this helps

Ok re-setup node with staking=0 in conf file but,
of course, it works for the node but no stakes on
rest of XVI. Can I set up 2 separate XVI wallets on the
same computer? If so, how?

Thanks for patience with the Noob Needing Help.
use different datadir for each instance:
 -datadir=D:\xvi
 -datadir=D:\xvi2
In bat file or in the shortcuts properties.

Happy staking

ok have it , now i generate a mn , but in masternode network always is active 00m:00s ... my config looks so

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
maxconnections=9
rpcuser=xxxxxx
rpcpassword=xxxxx
rpcport=15394
listen=1
server=1
deamon=1
staking=0
port=17100
masternodeaddr=188.104.8.148:17100
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=privkey
externalip=192.168.2.102

Maybe not the best idea to show your full config...
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: July 01, 2015, 11:28:13 PM
Okay I know I've already asked this but the new Diamond wallet doesn't need a .conf file right? Because I've downloaded the new wallet and the blockchain download from the OP as well and I still have 0 connections to my DMD wallet?? I'm completely lost on what to do to fix this problem?

Noob - my conf looks like this and I have 12 connections.

listen=1
noirc=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=54.191.208.14
addnode=54.255.133.30
addnode=54.86.164.216
addnode=193.136.97.30
addnode=193.136.96.30
bantime=3600
maxconnections=50

I hope that helps.

-pokeytex
Thanks mate I've added that to a .conf file and reloaded the wallet but so far still saying 0 connections? Hmmm I can't figure out why that is at all for the life of me lol
Have you tried to delete peers.dat?
Or sync from scratch.
I had to do it this way for a similar issue.

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | High PoS | Secure | MultiSend | liteStake | Adv Coin Control on: June 30, 2015, 05:11:55 PM
I know this isn't hyperstake related, but I had fired up my Plankton (FOOD) wallet for giggles and it naturally says out of sync and is trying to update. I have 2 active connections and roughly 178,000 blocks left to download. However, with the wallet being unlocked for staking, I'm getting stakes.. And they're being confirmed!  Is this because the other two clients can confirm I have had these coins in the wallet for a long time?
You are probably on your own fork...
Check block explorer if you those transactions shows there, if not backup your wallet.dat in roaming folder, and delete everything exept that file. reopen client and wait for resync before open up for stake.
Hope this helps.

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NTRN] Neutron - New Nucleus wallets released! - Next developments soon! on: June 26, 2015, 07:16:06 PM
MN is up and running  Grin

SHOW ME THE MONEY

Edit: am I good to go or am I missing something still? http://neutron.blockview.space/address/9gtbKMhhtdRY8WYHvPazwgkuxPg7kitU5R

Also, can someone verify if it IS my public IP (i.e. from whatsmyip.com) or if it IS NOT (i.e. my internal computer IP on my network). I've read conflicting information in this thread so far.  It was connecting when it was my internal network IP but when I use my public IP and try to "masternode start" I get the error:  Could not connect to 172.251.xx.xx:9999
seems you have a problem with your dynamic IP. Every time you boot your PC or your provider disconnects you (normally 1 time per night) your IP changes. Retry whatsmyip.com again and compare with data from your neutron.conf, than restart wallet, unlock and type masternode start again

Ok checked IP again from whatismyip.com, and it is the same as what is in my Neutron.conf

I'll send funds to a new address in wallet and try setting up MN again from scratch with new genkey, etc and see if that clears up the issue. Thanks for the on-point response.
Did you open your port in router?
Usually this error comes with port errors.
You can also try different ports, just to be sure.

Thank you very much for your update and explanation.
Is there a set time for inflation reduction?
It is mentioned in op that pos rewards will be reduced..Smiley

Happy staking Smiley

im also revisiting the idea of masternodes but it will not work like u think more info will be released on this....

Masternodes would be a good idea to spark some more interest in the coin Smiley could potentially get alot more investors interested into this HUGE project

i was holding off on this but i'll give a little info...... because we want the rewards system to be fair there will be two ways to produce network credits 1 will be staking bubble (this will be the masternode) the other will be by doing computations on the network like you will be rewarded when your worker completes a task.. the worker reward will be  the money paid by the user to get the work done....the stake reward is how currency is minted into the supply .   so  by these means we hope that we will be the fastest and cheapest supercomputer in the world (the cost of running the network will subsidized by the minting of currency)  this will give us a huge advantage over our competitors  because they will have huge costs where we will just have huge rewards (assuming we have customers to use the supercomputer)

456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: June 12, 2015, 04:57:21 PM
So block explorer...I can get one up and running.

Also are we at 512 or 1024 8bit Masternodes?

What else does the community wish to revamp or change within 8bit?

I will have crypto graphics work on some new content for the takeover, must message him to see what his availability is.

Let me know what you all are thinking?

Cheers,

MasterTrader777
I would like to see a android/mobile wallet with encrypted msg function.
It could even cost a small fee, which is destroyed to help some on inflation controll.
And ofc inwallet games or other services the masternode tech can provide..
Prefer 1024 coins for a masternode, but 512 is fine too.

Happy staking/masternoding!

There is Much to Do! Read this one Carefully.
IF you don't think you have valuable needed skills you are mistaken!

1-Staking Kore long term to support the Network no matter how many stakers there are.
2-Posting regularly and offering your honest opinions and suggestions.
3-Helping others to get involved.
4-Letting others know to keep an eye on these projects.
5-Supporting the Bittrex Account keeping Kore volume regular.
6-Be active in social media if you can.
7-Donate BTC to the work being done. People have/are spending much BTC to support these coins.
BTC Escrow Donation Address:  166ppAWTyJxrc1ThkNJWfMDu33iBXqpAoU
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=668886.msg9625014#msg9625014
8-If you don't know how to do something ask others and learn.
9-Take the Poll and offer your honest opinions at XDA!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/ther-apps-coders-shout-ground-floor-t2956802?nocache=1
10-Feel free to offer suggestions on wallet features, the KorePhone & APPS,
The Ęther Kripton OS, graphics ideas, marketing, promotions etc. We are not going
to run away with your ideas like the scam devs, We want to Include Them.
11-Any other way you think of that could help support your/their investment.

We are hard at work in the middle of this takeover of Korecoin
while setting up the NEW Kore Team and once it's strong enough
we plan to collaborate even further with Viorcoin.

WHY? Is all the above probably the most important aspect?
Because it frees up the Team Members so they can concentrate
on all the other work they are doing in multiple areas and helps
pay the bills-of the coins so they can even do more work. We all,
like you; have lives, businesses, jobs, Families and many responsibilities
outside of our work on these coins. We are not your usual scam devs,
we are KORE TEAM Members with a drive to do it right. Unlike the scam devs
who use good hearted, change minded intelligent hard working people as
an asset to exploit for their own gain and drop the project after cashing out
... (insert the multitude of reasons they'd like you to believe here)...
only to do more of the same.

Sincerely,
 Smiley
MikeMike

I keep giving hints...Let me explain,
Mark My Words:
IF we get the right Team Members and Support form the Community WE WILL
take you on the Ride of Your Life! ...and I don't mean the coin price!!!
