441  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Add Warning Message ---> Please, search before starting a new topic on: November 13, 2018, 11:02:28 AM
Nah man. This is too preposterous. This is a forum, we won't run out of space, if multiple threads are created with the same concern. People are just overdoing this too much. It won't end the world if multiple threads are created.
It's not a matter of running out of space. Won't we appraise a thread which have constructive and on-topic repiles? Of course, we will get bored when someone posts a reply with same thought which already have been answered by someone previously. When you read a thread, I don't think you will feel better if you see some replies with same thoughts. The same also applies here. If you see the same thread/query again and again, it really looks weird.
In the welcome message which is being developed, afaik, theymos has also asked people to search before posting same query.
First, search for your problem to see if anyone has asked about it before. If you don't find anything on it, ask in the Meta section. If you don't speak English well, either ask in your local section or PM the moderators of your local section.
442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you using a password manager on: November 13, 2018, 07:06:38 AM
I never did use a pass manager. Hence, I don't know how trustworthy those are. I have commented here only for sharing my tricks to generate password and possible way to be safe.
I use 4 mail account for all of my accounts. I only know the password of my mail. Those are written in paper though. On other platform, whereas I need to create a password, I create a totally random password like- 272@iSHdianAkal bla, bla, bla. Every passwords are different from one to other. Whenever I need to login, I just need to reset password. It's quite boring though, but it's okay for me because I don't sign up in a place where I barely visit. I only sign up on places where I always like to visit like bitcointalk. I think it's a good way to be secured.
443  Other / Meta / Re: New board in altcoin? on: November 13, 2018, 12:34:31 AM
This was suggested and discussed earlier here- Where to run a spam free bounty campaign? [new board?]
But it seems no one is interested enough to have it. In my opinion, some more board should also be there same as marketplace (bitcoin).
444  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: November 12, 2018, 09:41:35 AM
If I look at patrol, I'll be the "glass half full" guy who says many are still spamming Sad
The only spamming is now being happened by the ANN thread bumper which can only be controlled by people who says many are still spamming. There is nothing more to do without reporting those in a constructive way.

One more thing, the total merits distributed within the week from 28th of October to the 4th of November fell dramatically.
I see nothing out of the ordinary. Look at coinlocket$'s graph:
Although we can't say it fell drastically, it was quite big amount. Anyway, it may be because of inactivity of merit sources in last week (not sure though) or may be because of merit deserving posts or removing one of the large merit source as you mentioned below.

Also, newbies can't wear signature anymore.
447  Other / Meta / Re: Top Members Vs Junior Members on: November 12, 2018, 06:05:05 AM
Everyone has their right to post about fraud or whatever. Just make sure you have posted with enough evidents. Go to scam aaccusation/reputation and post with evidents. DT will take care of them. Their is no high profile here. Everyone has the equal right.
And don't forget to follow this- Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)
448  Other / Meta / Re: What are the forum Administrators doing about Scam projects (Bounties) on: November 12, 2018, 06:00:53 AM
Not agreed with you. There are thousands of bounty and moderators will not know which one is fair and which one scam.
I encourage you to read the rules here, where it is written that scams are not moderated.
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).
449  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 11, 2018, 04:39:21 PM
It could be created a tool to mark posts with high merit..
And secondly - that could be a list with the best merited post and users with highest merit
Perhaps you missed the point showed in OP.

There are stats here,

Also, you can find a lot of thread in meta where different kinda parameters.
I want to quote one of my post here-
This list counts merit on only OP.
Top-merited replies, all-time

Top merited topic of all time- Most merited topics (SUM of OP + posts) (Fixed!)
450  Other / Meta / Re: Old topics not discussed on: November 11, 2018, 04:28:08 PM
Those threads are not getting locked for avoiding repetitive threads and you have done that one exactly. If those threads get locked, one has to create new thread for discussing on a specific topics.
451  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 11, 2018, 03:07:43 PM
But if i understood everything only sources have unlimited merit to send to anyone.
Merit sources don't get unlimited sMerits. It's limited and varies from source to source. AFAIK, merit sources are meant to be gotten sMerits based on their sent merit. For example, if merit source sent 10 sMerits today, s/he will be refilled the exact amount in next month's same date.
Here is the stats:
Quote
There are 119 merit sources with a total merit generation of up to 22045 sMerit per 30 days.
452  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED][Survey] Earn 3$ in BTC for a poll vote and a post on: November 11, 2018, 02:51:38 PM
Thank you. Received payment.
453  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible for the newbie to get merit?? on: November 11, 2018, 07:22:30 AM
There are a lots of user who started with 0 and already ranked up to full member, sr member. Ddmrddmr even got 1000+ merits from 0. Therefore, it's nothing so hard to find what kinds of posts deserve to get merit.
The very first thing-
Act like a normal user, not a merit hunter. If you think about merit, you are not gonna have it. Browse the forum for which it has been made of and merit will easily come to you.

Checked your post history. Got 3 in English where you only have talked about merit. Again, I want you to remember the previous line- " Act as a normal user, not a merit hunter."
454  Other / Meta / Re: what's this account ?? on: November 11, 2018, 05:33:55 AM
I mean the other User LOL !

The User from the OP i see the green trust lol.
I guess you are either using a custom trust list or you have excluded iluvbitcoins from your trust list since the positive feedback on that profile is from iluvbitcoins.

He can't remove his post.
look at the reference, theymos said "People in bold will retain a hidden scammer tag so that they cannot delete their posts".
Whom are you talking about? oldscammerTag or neyma?
I guess oldscammertag had never posted.
ane neyma had deleted his/her own post. Only 2 of his/hee posts were deleted by mod.

Reference-

455  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SecondBTC.Com - Crypto Exchange List Coin For Free on: November 11, 2018, 05:16:10 AM
We have posted that in wrong section , so we created this again
You could move it by yourself, look lower left of the thread and you will find the option to move thread.

Why don't you start a signature campaign here? Otherwise, you will not get much exposure.
456  Other / Meta / Re: Is the new ERA of merit dying again? on: November 11, 2018, 03:59:55 AM
No new Hero or legendary in the last two months. Sad
marlboroza has ranked up Legendary last week.
Although only marlboroza has been ranked up since last 2 months, there are some more hero member is close to 1000 merits.

Quote
Don't you think is better to use it on Newbie-Hero Members?
Isn't Merit being introduced for awarding in quality posts, not necessarily only for needy?

Quote
Why members and Junior members tends to rewards the same rank and ignore higher ranks? Can we assume a lot of them as alts?
They can be alt. Or they might not understand the merit system. Some of them are definitely alt, but some of them think merit as only one of the requirements of rank up. Here the difference is and that's why they merit to same rank a.k.a needy.

From the above data,
Member send sMerits 12% to Jr member while Jr member send 40% to member. Almost every rank send the most sMerit to Member because the number of member ranks are the most.
457  Other / Meta / Re: IS THE MERIT SYSTEM being used correctly by a small clique of individuals here on: November 10, 2018, 05:53:49 PM
Just from my curiosity,
If user A sends X amount of sMerits to user B and receives the almost exact number, can we count that as abusing merit between buddy, provided that the amount is not lower? Also, user A receives 39% of his total merit from user B.
Sorry, it's quite off-topic for this thread. I don't want to create a topic for knowing this only.
458  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to check everyday forum activity? on: November 10, 2018, 08:33:18 AM
Seems like 7994.49 is the average posts per day, however that seems hard to believe, and I would say its much more than that.
Like as you stated, the data is not up to date. It's limited to December 13, 2017. So, the avg is correct for that period, IMO, since at the beginning, there was less people.
In mid 2017, the ratio of posts have been increased significantly. Therefore, if we take the data of 2018, the data will be drastically changed.

We're now at 31k posts per day, which was 50k posts per day before the changes.
If you check patrol, you'll see it's still mostly useless spam.
Does this list count the deleted posts too? Or only posts without the archival.
459  Other / Meta / Re: fokken Xalolex removed my precious posts on: November 10, 2018, 02:41:09 AM
