441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 30, 2014, 08:45:57 AM
Ok please go easy on me, I've been away for quite a while.

So I see they have release ccminer, and cudaminer hasnt been updated since Feb.

Now my question is, if I want to mine LTC still do I switch to ccminer?

Also what would be the best settings for a Titan mining LTC either on ccminer or cudaminer?

Thanks guys.
Scrypt has strong ASICs now Wink So you won't be able to beat that with your Titan. Best guess? Try another algo, like the one ccminer supports (or keccak/scrypt-jane in cudaminer) Smiley
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 30, 2014, 06:50:51 AM
from 1200h/s to 1400h/s

fuck it, time to sell my amd rigs.

but it isn't profitable right? 2-3 monero a day?

My profit calc says otherwise Cheesy
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable CPU mining? on: June 30, 2014, 05:20:47 AM
Is that even possible anymore? I've seen so many coins promise "CPU only" mining only to be toppled down by GPU miners and even FPGA's!
Is there even one coin in that vast sea of cryptocurrencies that is truly profitable for CPU mining?

I've jumped from Quark based coins, to X11, to Scrypt-N, and now, Momentum. Is protoshares and memorycoin even profitable anymore?
Try CryptoNight, like XMR and BCN Wink My measly i5-520m from my laptop even gets 40H/s, my simple i5-3470 from my desktop gets 110H/s & my gtx750ti get 240H/s.
So I think that one has a really nice CPU:GPU ratio.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 29, 2014, 09:44:40 PM
Just released my updated profit calc Wink
List of changes for v0.5:
Added CryptoNight support + workaround that uses MoneroChain api to get diff and blockreward for XMR, since WTM, CT or CW haven't got it yet
(and WhatMine is a paid service, I need some nice donations if you want me to support them Tongue)
Added electricity cost into the calculation
Moved the layout a bit around -- Hashrates to the side + checkboxes for each algo -- Checked listbox for all market apis
Added AllCoin & AllCrypt to the supported market apis
Some other small fixes and improvements
URL: https://github.com/KBomba/cuda-profit-calc/releases

PS: If anyone could give me the FULL hashrates.text (or at least the wattages) for a complete 6x 750ti rig, that would be great Cool I'll add it as the default list.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please help me with Cudaminer! GTX 590 problem! Freezes/lockup on: June 28, 2014, 09:18:04 PM
So i've been trying to start my cudaminer, I am running a EVGA GTX 590, but ran into a very very frustrating problem.
I already updated my drivers to the latest 337.88 WHQL, also running latest cudaminer and made sure my bat file lines are correct.
Well when i run my cudaminer here is what pops up

Well when i run it, it doesnt display anything else and soon starts to freeze/lock up and have to force a restart.

If anyone can assist please do! In need of help!!

Do you have two GTX590's? It seems like it tries to launch two threads on what I presume you say is only 1GPU. Try running it with -t 1 or -d 0.
Also, are you also using your GTX590 hdmi for your screen? If so, try out the onboard gpu if you have one while mining or if you don't, run it with -i 1, so it will leave some gpu cycles to browse with your screen (don't try watching a video though)
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: June 28, 2014, 11:53:18 AM
that profit calculator is sketchy at best..call out one coin as good then you move to that coin and come back and it no where near the same report as a last time
Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #r327nMMo5XkF7uj8

If that's the answer you're gonna give to everyone, well, then fuck any development on my calc Smiley But I'm not pessimistic, screw you, I'll make it for everyone else (been working for it for hours this night, fixing cryptsy, electricity cost, using XMR pools for diff and reward, etc... but your answer fucked me up, so it has to wait now Cool )
1) It's clearly stated as beta/pre-release, and 2) it gathers all the info from the nice checkboxes on top. If you did some research first, you'd see that WhatToMine is the ONLY api that has JPC/TAC difficulty and reward, so contact them if you want it corrected or uncheck it and get a CoinTweak/CoinWarz API key Smiley
And 3) Yeah, profitability of a coin can move VERY VERY FAST. Even faster than trade prices. If you don't know that already, well, get out of trying to mine the most profitable coin Wink My app gets real live market data so, yeah, everytime someone changes his top buy orders, the profitability of a coin changes a lot.

Peace ^^

someone stupid released through the dev an AMD version already (without source)... He should have waited 2 days (after the launch of the second x15 coin Grin.
anyhow... I tried to program a crude ccminer version (once I was done with the amd implementation  Grin it took 1 hours, however the coin had been already launched since 3 hours... I wanted to add the nvidia as someone had a larger hashrate than me on hashharder  Grin), but cuda doesn't seem to like much whirlpool and those 7 big uint64_t vectors with 256 entries...
and what I got runs like crap.
The 780ti isn't doing much more than 1Mh/s (the R9 3Mh/s)  but with gpu usage all over the place... (power usage has never been so low...)

I guess it is time to get back to normal coin (with the current reward... it doesn't make much sense anymore...)

You could publicly release that what you've already got ^^' Maybe tsiv, christian or someone else (I'll take a look at it :p ) can improve that Wink
I am too ashamed to release that piece of crap Grin

Someone has an honor to uphold Tongue It doesn't matter if it's crap or not, that's the beauty of opensource, someone else can take your code and produce something nice with just a few tweaks you overlooked Wink

we run 3 on a 450W PSU. For six a 650W PSU should be fine. But don't put a 125W AMD CPU on that mainboard, if possible.

Christian

"we"Huh
(Yes I have been lurking, only reading Christians posts lol)

I've been joining or forming various allegiances for different mining projects. :-)

in this case it's the two rigs with 3 gtx 750Ti that I've set up  for a good friend. I am
administering these remotely, he gets the coins.

You should consider an official hardware rental business Tongue Using your own mining software etc ^^"
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] Solo Mining Pool on: June 27, 2014, 06:25:22 AM
One more thing, you would want to merge mine namecoin along side bitcoin keeping those blocks as well for more income.

good luck.

And IXC and DVC Tongue
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: High profitability mining on: June 26, 2014, 10:21:56 PM
Make sure you have a btc/(mh/s) profitability api so it can get picked up by PoolPicker Smiley
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 26, 2014, 10:14:09 PM
cudamining.cc is finally back up after lots of messing about

Nice! Is it me or is it loading faster than before? Wink
Also, don't forget to add the cryptonite mod, tsiv has an officially released windows binary on his github  Smiley
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 26, 2014, 05:45:44 PM
I think using some tricks with the implentation of AES would speed the hash rate up probably into the Kh/s range....there is a cuda application that can pass through the AES using an integration attack on the implentation. (ie: The Integral attack on AES)

Any opinions?

cant you let the cpu do teh aes stuff?

Ssshhhh, don't say it that loud. You'll expose Cbuchner's secrets Cheesy
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 26, 2014, 02:05:42 PM
For the guys who wants to waterboard Christian, I have a better method... Lets send some (lots of actually) beers and Steinhäger for Christian.

Alcohol Goes In Truth Comes Out!

uuuh... dangerous play... he lives in munich... maybe he could take more than we could afford  Wink Grin

I live in Belgium, I can buy enough really good beers for a nice price Tongue Better than those German cr*pbeers Cheesy
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 26, 2014, 12:38:27 PM
On the other hand, it's working just fine here Cheesy

why does the numbering of GPU start with 0 for the one on the left that has one card while it starts with 1 on the right with 2 GPUs?

Looks like he's running -d 0 for the 760 and -d 1,2 for the 750ti's?

Yep because i am getting their different bat files because of the different compute versions. Not many people including myself have the new single exe version
Hey, hey, I do have the single exe version Cheesy It's just because my GTX760 behaves differently (better on X11 than on Cryptonight as a good example) that I always used two different bats. So, I got used to it Tongue Makes monitoring a bit easier too.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 25, 2014, 05:44:13 PM
Thanks for the new miner tsiv,

is there a reason why it works so much better on a 750ti than a 760ti?  Huh
760ti? Where can you buy that? I want one of those! (j/k Tongue)

No, srsly, my 760 is also performing a lot worse than my 750ti. But that's because it's kepler, 750ti's are the newest maxwell cores. So that's why Smiley
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 25, 2014, 04:29:57 PM
there is an x15 coin, shabal and whirlpool added lol

I feel the need for an x99 coin. I'll start working on it right away.

Oh, please do Cheesy While you're at it, make sure Nvidia has some really nice advantage up front Smiley

i got Crytonight to work on win 8.1 by using -l 6x40.

these oddball launch configurations bring tears into my eyes.

Of joy? Feeling nostalgic?
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 25, 2014, 02:38:27 PM
Can someone please post a bat example for tsiv's ccminer-cryptonight. I can not find one through search.

Thanks

ccminer.exe -a cryptonight -o stratum -u user -p password.

It should work right out of the box, but you can try using/experimenting with -l too, like this
cccminer.exe -a cryptonight -l 8x60 -o ........
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 25, 2014, 02:35:53 PM
IIRC, the GPU instances on AWS are kepler based, which performs poorly with tsiv's code (thus keeping Christian happy  Wink)

It would keep me happier if you'd all would just stop talking about g2.2xlarge instances.  Grin

[jedi mind trick]
This is not the instance you're looking for. Go mine with Azure.
[/jedi mind trick]

g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances.
g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances.
g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances. g2.2xlarge instances.

(I think Cbuchner would've liked that this thread was self-moderated too) Cheesy
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 25, 2014, 06:04:27 AM
Getting driver crashes with the TSIV compiled binary on Windows 7 with GTX 770 and GTX 780, as well as with Windows 8.1 with GT 750M. Hash rates show crazy numbers but no actual work. From the GT 750M laptop:

Is this because I don't have the latest drivers, or maybe it's because these are Kepler (not Maxwell) GPUs? Or maybe I just need to update drivers...trying that now.

So, I think we can officially say windows 8 isn't supported ^^" It isn't really a mining OS though, best results are even under Linux.
But yeah, it should be fixed if possible Wink

But I had a bad time too to get my 760 working, I tried restarting the miner, resetting in device manager, taking off any OC, rebooting... After some random tries, it suddenly started working. But I don't think Kepler is even worth it for Cryptonight, being almost half of the 750TI's rate, brrr.
I pointed it back to X11, leaving my 2 750TI's to do the monero dance Cheesy
