I would like to comment briefly on awarding the bounty since I am responsible for the largest pledge (I think).

From what I have seen, tsiv should receive a bounty payment. I'm not sure he should receive the full amount quite yet. (Though I am also not saying he should not.)

I would like to hear public comments on the following points before reaching a conclusion.

My criteria for awarding the bounty are:

1. Quality. Is the miner 100% reliable, or does it crash or hang?

2. Compatibility. Does the miner support a full range of operating systems, hardware devices (limited to the specified family -- AMD or NV), and drivers? Hardware, operating systems, or drivers which lack some essential features for acceptable performance can be excluded, as can obviously obsolete ones.

3. Open source, maintainability. Is the code provided in a full open source manner, such that others can contribute improvements?  Is it well documented, well organized, and easy to understand?

4. Performance. Does the mine provided competitive performance (i.e. does it make sense to actually use it).

100% perfection on every one of these points is not necessary or practical -- certainly not to receive a partial bounty. These are guidelines for evaluation, not specific requirements.

If there are significant deficiencies in any or all of these areas, then the original developer should have the opportunity to address them in order to qualify for the full bounty. Failing that, others may contribute improvements to claim part of the bounty.

I would like to hear substantive comments from any stakeholders or community members addressing these points.

To be fair, Tsiv's miner does not satisfy point 1. I have found it locks up my 5 card rig in both Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu.

someone stupid released through the dev an AMD version already (without source)... He should have waited 2 days (after the launch of the second x15 coin .
anyhow... I tried to program a crude ccminer version (once I was done with the amd implementation   it took 1 hours, however the coin had been already launched since 3 hours... I wanted to add the nvidia as someone had a larger hashrate than me on hashharder  ), but cuda doesn't seem to like much whirlpool and those 7 big uint64_t vectors with 256 entries...
and what I got runs like crap.
The 780ti isn't doing much more than 1Mh/s (the R9 3Mh/s)  but with gpu usage all over the place... (power usage has never been so low...)

I guess it is time to get back to normal coin (with the current reward... it doesn't make much sense anymore...)

@th00ber I know it works for some, but many others report that it doesn't. It needs fine tuned, then they have no excuse to deny the bounty based on quality.

I hope he does get the bounty, because without people like him we have nothing to mine.

He should get the bounty, because he released an open source version of the miner.
The quality concerns has nothing to do with anything. The open source allows others to work on it and improve it.
It hasn't to be perfect, it has to work and that's it (all it is needed to have it working is already in there...

So if they refuse, then they are just full of **** and they will probably found excuses for every bounty they promised

anyone who would release something of quality would most likely use tsiv work... and wouldn't deserve that bounty (except Christian   because he has his own code... and nobody doubt that  )

Three different kind of cards, some of them OC... two types of mainboards...

Someone has an honor to uphold It doesn't matter if it's crap or not, that's the beauty of opensource, someone else can take your code and produce something nice with just a few tweaks you overlooked

Someone has an honor to uphold It doesn't matter if it's crap or not, that's the beauty of opensource, someone else can take your code and produce something nice with just a few tweaks you overlooked

I will see, but I need to fix the code first, because right now, it runs at half the speed, I was getting before I started to tweak it... 
(actually I was expecting to use the shared memory, but for some reason it was returning only fugue512 tables...

lol, I have entered compilation of doom.... for some reason cicc.exe is compiling since half an hour and use almost 2Gb of ram
