441  Other / Off-topic / Re: This game is very simple... [5 BTC Reward] on: March 22, 2011, 12:07:50 AM
This game is very simple. You have fruitful conversation with your fellow bitcoiners and whoever reaches post 9,999 wins 5 BTC.
Careful with the wording! That means that even if I am post #10,000, #10,001 or even #100,000 I would meet your criteria.

The question is, how long until this thread becomes a resource blackhole?
442  Other / Chinese students / Re: express Chinese girls on: March 22, 2011, 12:04:14 AM
If you think they have gone low now, just wait until deadline is creeping up in a few weeks Wink
LOL, Nefario, explain them why the title is wrong. xD
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining power of Bitcoin vs other networks on: March 21, 2011, 11:59:16 PM
Now a 5870 does 320 MHashes with latest poclbm miner.
A 5870 does roughly 2.72 TeraFLOPS

That means that if we divide the 568000 MHashes/sec the network is doing between 320 we get 1175 5870s.
We then take that number and multiply it by its computational power of 2.72 TFLOPS and we get 4828 TeraFlops or almost 5 Petaflops.

I could be wrong, however, we are already at the level of SETI and F@H. Smiley

Express?
Wrong it is: EXPRESS?!
Answer: That's what she said. Wink
445  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 5970 for sale in BTC, best offers? on: March 21, 2011, 04:55:16 PM
I'm going to be swapping cards around in my mining rigs to lower temps for the coming summer and I'm probably going to have an odd 5970 to sell.  I'm pretty sure its gonna be an XFX (I've got a few XFX and sapphire, I like to stay with 1 brand per rig).  Works great, mining BTC as we speak.  Right now used 5970s are going for $500 pretty reliably on ebay, and BTC is trading around $.80/1BTC so I'm looking for that range.  Any takers?

I'll give you 700 btc when they are generated if you send me the card now..  lol

It ain't magic, at current difficulties you are most likely never going to reach that in an acceptable time and the difficulty increases will make this task even harder.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund favourite bitcoin projects (new website) on: March 21, 2011, 02:29:52 AM
http://92.7.172.0/

Don't have a VPS for that around that I can use right now. Can someone please host this.

It's a site where you propose features for Bitcoin and donate. Once the feature is completed & confirmed, then it goes to the dev who wrote that feature.

It's an experiment into how future free software development could work.

Please, do not donate a single Bitcoin until the security issues are resolved.

I will give you a clue on what to fix first, SQL Injections.
If you need help contact me. I can help you fix this. :-)

EDIT: Also, all bounties ask for the same address. Tongue

Buy ad spaces and include meta-descriptions to images and pages.

Clean up and make everything as clean and good looking as possible. Smiley

Getting Geohot to accept donations should be easy and would be huge right now considering the Sony press and how they got access to his Paypal records which they couldn't do with btc.

Indeed, and the FSF is running the Defective By Design campaign supporting GeoHot and informing the masses of the evil DRM. Smiley
449  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn Bitcoins (20 or 10) for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin on: March 20, 2011, 03:44:24 AM
Yep, contacted GeoHot and the FSF. I have a huge contact list and have known a lot of people with leverage.

I also plan to introduce Bitcoin to a really good hacker that even you would recognize. He specializes in security, though. Tongue
450  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn Bitcoins (20 or 10) for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin on: March 20, 2011, 03:27:25 AM
Can you at least donate to them? xD They could act as a turning point in the Bitcoin economy by bringing more filmmakers/films support or requesting for Bitcoins. Tongue

Also, I will fill this thread of more org's and projects than you can count. Promise! Cheesy
451  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn Bitcoins (20 or 10) for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin on: March 20, 2011, 03:23:07 AM
Couldn't agree more. Added.

So those my action applies? I convinced a Creative Commons movie to start accepting Bitcoins and donated in the process.

Best regards, Fabian H jr Smiley

I convinced Pioneer One to accept Bitcoin  donations over at the facebook page. Smiley

Hey, I want to make a Bitcoin Donation!(http://bitcoinme.com/) Could you share your address? Also, if I make a Bitcoin donation(You can exchange it to dollars if you want) am I still elegible for the goodies at Vo.do?

https://www.facebook.com/pioneerone You must scroll to see it. There was a guy behind me that didn't convince them. I made a 10 BTC donation and a promise of 5 BTC per episode. After that they just started accepting it and some days after they made a publication of the address and Bitcoin. It is a strong addition. Cheesy

This is their publication:

By request, now accepting Bitcoin donations. Our Bitcoin address:

(3 Days after my donation and some friends)

And a member of Pioneer One crediting me as the one who cause them to accept Bitcoin Donations.

Thank you for turning us on to this. So far we've received 21.63 BTC and it looks like the exchange rate to USD has jumped up to $1.01

453  Economy / Marketplace / Re: EVE Online in-game currency (ISK) on: March 18, 2011, 12:32:06 AM
Since it is illegal to sell ISK, I doubt it would be possible.

Against the ToS, FYI. It ain't illegal at all, why would it be? xD

Edit:

456  Economy / Exchanges / Re: mtgox.com has blocked my account with 45 000 USD in it! on: February 27, 2011, 02:48:55 PM
Well, actual factual evidence would be the transaction history from his CC to LRUSDs to MtGox and the fact that it is stuck in there, not an mtgox screenshot. xD
457  Economy / Exchanges / Re: mtgox.com has blocked my account with 45 000 USD in it! on: February 27, 2011, 02:37:32 PM
Fabian

With that amount already there, mt gox probably would remove the "add more" link and replace it for a "remove some"  Grin

You know what? I just checked and MtGox did just that! Can you believe it? They are acknowledging my richness! Cheesy Now lets try to withdraw.

Here is what you can do:

-Create a new account trough a proxy
-Save the page from your browser with all resources such as images
-Edit the name and quantity
-Take the screen shot
-Have the evidence rejected in court for not being solid proof

Nefario, no https. It is blocked else I could easily use Google Cache via secure.google.com.

I will try it out and see how it goes.
Testing in progress...
460  Economy / Exchanges / Re: mtgox.com has blocked my account with 45 000 USD in it! on: February 22, 2011, 02:12:46 AM
No nothing, just saying that if a lot of money comes in at once a mess could be created. Nothing personal.
There is only 20K in volume before 2USD <-> 1 BTC and that would mean over a fold increase. I wouldn't really mind it if you want to go ahead. xD
