441  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1 BTC bitbill on: November 07, 2019, 08:43:20 PM
I am not allowed to say I am happy to accept bitcoin. The nature of the posting is that it will be paid in person, so not sure how they would enforce, but regardless, not allowed to say that per ebay policy...

If you are planning to try and sucker someone on eBay, stick to eBay... but how we do things here is go through trusted escrows, which Minerjones is the most popular one here for collectibles such as this.

It simply won’t go for $150K on here though.

Edit: also it doesn’t really matter which payment method you wish to accept, as long as you and the buyer are happy with the terms of the deal and escrow is in agreement if buyer and seller want to use escrow (which, since you are new... the buyer will probably want to).

I would prefer to use Krog as escrow, but buyer would be responsible for airfare for seller to NYC for physical handoff to Krog.

Thats perfectly fine. Just consider taking offers through PM on here and once a price and terms have been settled make sure you include Krogothmanhattan into the messaging process. If you're eager to sell this you will receive a fair offer here but nobody is going to take to eBay to contact you. There is less run around here on the Collectibles board as someone such as Krog can easily spot a time waster and we can leave negative trust/take the necessary steps to stop it from happening again.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/223739729536

Please contact me via ebay

Listed for $150,000 USD and in person trade (Texas).

Compares Casascius coins selling for 100k to justify price.. doesn't include that those are 10BTC / 25BTC coins and that this is 1BTC. Looks to be very nice condition, awaiting Krogoth's opinion here.

Edited to add verification photo.
443  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WoodCollector]Nine Public Coin Collection Completed on: November 07, 2019, 03:51:54 PM
Not much of an update UPDATE:

Quite a few new eyes in the Collectibles section due to the crossover/interest from the 10 year anniversary art contest so we have an opportunity for some non regulars to see this.
The darkbox I wanted to build/have built is still non existent, I just don't have the space for it right now. Definite future plan though.

I have acquired two of the three wooden BTC's that WoodCollector sold. Myaswell add them to the collection right?

*Original WoodCollector pictures used below, I will have picture's of my own with OP quality if/when I have all three together.

In my collection:
The Hive originally owned by Blazed (Blazedout419)
Culture Cultivation originally owned by wheresmycoin

Not in my collection:
Transcendence currently owned by ducatitalia
444  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN][WTS]Crypto Imperator "Magic Internet Money" Coin NEW! on: November 06, 2019, 07:14:23 PM
shipping from which country (or at least continent)?
and as I'm a newbie in this collectible-forum and don't have a clue ( Cheesy) ... :
what is this denomination about? i understand that i load such amount on the coin ... if affirmative, where do i get the private key from? and who else has this key?

anyone?  Huh Smiley

CI is located in Spain I believe. The denomination is 0.005BTC and has no special meaning unlike some of his coin releases (example. moon coin). If you peel the hologram there will be a priv key/QR more than likely (I have never peeled a CI coin so unsure). You have to pay the 0.005 upfront with the cost and once the coin is received CI usually loads them when you message him.

446  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] BITCOIN 1 OZ .999 AG BAR on: November 05, 2019, 03:35:24 PM
Love silver bars
Here is something similar by Dignitas Designs (Rmcdermott927) to help you with pricing/demand/expectations.
[ANN] Dignitas Designs - Custom Crypto Storage .999 Fine Silver Bars

Those were made in late 2016 and we haven't seen anything similar in a few years so yours would be a welcome addition to many people's collections.

I'll say you better list it here for auction with a hidden price(~Pending Loan Amount) which can be verified by other people at the end of the auction.

If auction crosses that hidden price you can take your loan amount from it and send the rest to the owner.

In case it doesn't cross the hidden price then the auction will be cancelled and you keep the item.

You can discuss with the borrower to sell it and keep the money from the auction even it is unable to cross the hidden price with the rest of the money still payable by the borrower.
Hidden reserves will always scare bidders away here.
Price checks are the best way go go about it here, most people use previous auctions and collectibles knowledge when replying.
451  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org collectible coin ideas & vote on: October 12, 2019, 08:15:00 PM
Let me know if you need any statistical help deciding who gets their coins subsidized!   Grin

If you're having a hard time figuring out on who to give out these coins, just give it out to people sorted by bpip's most recognized. That'd help a lot to be honest, when it comes to the screening process.

The owner of the BPIP site is currently involved with contacting the IRS against another coin maker. I would not have the distribution of the forum coin based solely on a third party site ran by an unhinged user. Bitcoin wasn't created to appease the government nor the IRS. Don't taint these coins/celebration tokens.

Funded by an address known and owned by theymos/bitcointalk forum would be fairly meaningful.
453  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is abusing the trust system on: September 29, 2019, 02:18:47 PM
^ in reply to this, didn't we often use "caveat emptor" on a lot of the boards where sales and trading took place? At a quick glance I couldn't locate the phrase.

It seems like the mentality with the new flags is that people are putting all blame and focusing on DT1 creating nonsense flags at the first sign of anything out of the regular. The buyers need to also be responsible. As I have seen mentioned before.. a person that's bad with money and not doing their own research is going to lose their money whether it is now or later..

Could it be an invasive app that recognizes the word bitcoin and is collecting info for potential malware/information gathering? I hardly have anything on my phone app wise because the permissions get out of hand real fast.

You just outbid the last bid with a 10x increment. Be more careful?

457  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: September 10, 2019, 02:53:39 PM
EDIT: Oh look what we have here... even more abuse of people for speaking out about his abusive behavior. Maybe just keep doubling down and abusing everyone who points out your behavior and they will all go away Vod. Good plan.

"teeGUMES   2019-09-10   Reference Made many promises to the community that he would remove red trust after the current drama died down. Turn out it was just a lie / political maneuver. When it comes to keeping his word, he has admitted he does not - see reference."
Not sure if he's all there upstairs.
Going through my post history I note that I only offered to remove the red from the four doxx post merit givers. I did PM Vod while working with him and theymos to have the doxx post and therefore merit deleted, I mentioned Vod's red would probably become neutral "in the near future". After some time passed I checked Vod's behavior in his post history and he was still leveraging the US government against the doxxed member of the forum so I decided his red would be extended.

He uses the word promise and community as a clickbait headline in his negative trust to me, the same way he throws the word scammer and liar around on this forum. There was no promise and the community was actually against me at the time because I dared go against the grain.

A red from Vod makes me laugh just as much as the reds I have from other nutjobs, there is no further reason to fight or argue on my behalf.. I have had him excluded since the doxx as I don't value his actions or feedback. Probably never will.

Edited down to the only relevant statement of my post needed. He is entitled to leave me red just as much as I am entitled to leave mine. Done.
458  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is a scammer on: September 10, 2019, 04:02:53 AM
Try not to put words in my mouth. I said you were a piece of shit.. not childish.

Liar.   Roll Eyes

Quote
Publicly doxxed a member of the bitcointalk community. Backtracked once he slept on it and realized it was a bad idea. Impulse doxxing over a petty dispute is childish.

I believe I turned net positive this month and I received your PM begging me to remove my negative this month. Good enough timeline for me and my statement.

I never even asked for you to remove the negative, much less beg, liar.
1.5minutes in between my reply and his post. Preplanned attack. Get your drama kick off someone else.
459  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is a scammer on: September 10, 2019, 03:57:58 AM
Begging me in PM the moment I turned net positive in DT1 again was icing on the cake.

Six days ago?   Embarrassed

I had decided to give you another chance after all the promises you made, but you've been an obvious OG copy cat since day one.  Now you are posting misleading statements like the one above, just like he does

Considering the amicable history we've had in PM, your ignoring my PM and then lying about when it was sent is very childish - same thing you accuse me of being.
Try not to put words in my mouth. I said you were a piece of shit.. not childish.
This also seems like you are trying to bait me into releasing private messages so you can use that against me. I believe I turned net positive this month and I received your PM begging me to remove my negative this month. Good enough timeline for me and my statement.

You're not worth my time replying to anymore and any communication from yourself to me Vod can be considered unsolicited.
460  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is a scammer on: September 10, 2019, 03:30:06 AM
In the last two weeks we have seen the words racist and scammer used in very very poor fashion on the forum.

And all the lying, too.   Didn't you post several times you would be changing my negative trust to neutral?  You kept repeating that until things calmed down, then you did nothing.  :/
You're right. You continued to be a piece of shit in general so I decided it would stick. Who runs my trust/feedback lists? Certainly not you. Begging me in PM the moment I turned net positive in DT1 again was icing on the cake.
