Ha ha, it will also mine coins for coinhunter on USER'S hardware. Yeah, a fairy makes them out of aether ~__^ He is generating 1m and refunding people who lost their coins due to mooncoin stealing coins. So, he's also playing the court, the judge and the jury in a fraud case, like some kind of Coin King ? Lol, you should rebrand as SOVEREIGN COIN. That will even allow ya to keep the acronym.
Oh, and BTW, did you already ask CH about how his "reimbursment" thingie is audited, and whether an app to automatically audit the entire blockchain for shenanigans is already written?I can't believe exchanges even put up an exchange for your shenanigans. You don't even know how to code and have other people do it for you. I distinctly recall Coin King (Or perhaps we should now call him King Coin ? ) had to ask other folks to fixup his makefiles, so of all people your crowd should avoid, you know, throwing rocks... or bricks Glass houses are so glassy Anyways, gotta sleep now. I've got an exchange to open, a site to fill with content, and a fork to make for michal. Ciao!

Just wait for sc2.0 its going to have protection against the 51% attack as well and more features.
Ha ha, it will also mine coins for coinhunter on USER'S hardware. Which is very much like my controversial fund but WORSE since not only the creator gets a fuckton of coins, the creator also does so while eating the USER'S electricity (and working USER'S perishable hardware) and spamming the blockchain with fucktons of "Sovereign Bonds" transactions. And unlike my controversial fund, CH's will have no nominal upper limit. Real smooth, there. Ya know what ? When SC 2.0's source is released, me and michals are gonna fork an EXTORTION-FREE version ~__^

Well, an original voice. Greatly appreciated. Maybe it's him we should declare a directorate member, huh ?

I now have a typical user helping me find non-uh...typical user proof situations. Since exchange may go up any second now, I gotta scratch together a quickie site and get some sleep. 1.3 hrs sleep too little

Hi thare windows users! I heard the black window of miner and editing bat file confused some of you, so I sat down and made a better bat file, which is interactive, gives hints, and has pre-set work-out-of-the-box download-and-mine defaults ! http://www.mediafire.com/?od475a7pd46g8xj

How about a website where you can create your own *coin just with few clicks. For start, you need to fill out the form: *coin name: Number of *coins: Over what time: % to premine: diff. adjustment interval: ... what else? Fill out the form and system generates you a patched miner/client code, client config file an tar.bz2 it all together for a convenient download and install. (or push it to git?)
No more mining for someone else! Now you can be the boss and mine YOUR own coin! You will be a billionaire. Think about the children! No more world hunger!
This is brought to you by you local friendly power company. "Thank you"* note is on its way: We love you too!)
---- * read: you monthly bill for electricity
Making your coin is about a day's business (give or take some), and I doubt the website will allow you to splice-in cool stuffs like escrow transaction type (like in GG) or a new PoW So, no need, but fun idea nonetheress ~__^

Just to ask, is only minerd allowed? Can we not use CGMiner? And is the GPU protection based on the time between the getwork and the hash submitted? I tried using miner'd 4way algo and every hash got rejected.
Errr, anti-gpu code is the new PoW and currently only minerd is patched to use it. Also, 1337 username you got there, man

I got this C:\temp\Tenebrix-pack\Tenebrix-pack>minerd.exe --algo scrypt --s 5 --threads 2 --url http://localhost:8697 --userpass 1:1 [2011-09-30 15:32:43] 2 miner threads started, using SHA256 'scrypt' algorithm. But there is no progress info, how do we know that it is working? It should soon start displaying...things (per thread hashrates and such)

I am *very* familiar with conspiracy laws and their consequences in the US. Yup, and I am *really* Satoshi Again, consult an Attorney that practices US Federal law, and lay out the situation. Yes, always consulting a legalperson is always good and they will agree Clairvoyance much ? (given exactly zero arrests for cases of "laundering" abstract virtual items with no guaranteed value, very strong clairvoyance) Though I would like to hear how such a discussion would proceed

How do mine Tenebrix??? SIMPLIFIED please. On win7.
Download windows portable bundle Start TenebrixPortable Find the LOCALHOST_TBX_MINE file Either start it right away to start mining @ 2 threads or edit it with notepads, changing the (pretty self-explanatory) value --threads from <2> to <the number of threads you want>

I still dont see any solution to the 51% attacks. A cpu currency will be more vulnerable Id imagine.
A system with less hashpower centralization is more vulnerable to 51 attack ? Having said that I am quite looking forward to solutions to 51% problem , well those solutions that do not involve lic-mining (people are being mildly upset with my fun-d, imagine what they would say if I left meself with ability to single-handedly grant and take away ability to mine )

As per most recent consensus in #Tenebrix, the 1.5m TBX Tenebrix Dev Fund, which is supposed to be used to
* Pay developers for Tenebrix improvement and fixes (across the span of several years)
* Arranging for urgent hiring of needed professionals should need for an "ASAP" fix arise
* Pay bounties to a variety of services and such to reward acceptance
* Support other needs of Tenebrix across the span of several years
is to be divided among several trustworthy individuals with high esteem in the community.
Of course, it is up to the community to propose candidates and find a consensus as to who should those people be.
I guess that's all, let's hear whom you deem worthy

Gotcha. So I choose to lock in after 151 blocks (genesis becomes canon) using a hash (you may make that the first lock-in if you wish) and in the future, if I choose to do another at block 1,000, that may be done without a total makeover of the code? Am I understanding correctly?
Actually, the code I use allows for only one lock-in through the config (multicoin limits). However, that should allow you to quickly lock it down at the moment genesis is canon, and later on you can just take a look at how I did stuff in tenebrix and recompile, it's not very hard.

How does the laundry help any? If I am trying to track down a coin trail, isn't it obvious when the laundry is used, so I just go looking for a transaction going into the laundry that matches one coming out (same amount and time), and pick up the trail there?
time and size-randomized payouts trump correlation attacks, even bitcoinlaundry does them IIRC

Oh, one more thing michael - I will replace the blockchain lockins of Tenebrix with "standard" multicoin code that allows you to set a locking via config without editing the code and recompiling, if you do not mind (Obviously you need TBX lockins removed but I suspect you might want to set one of your own at some point)
I don't know what that means. Blockchain lockin is a mechanism to "canonize" blocks so that should something Weird happen, all blocks before No X survive, no matter what. If you recall namecoin affair, one of the concerns was that at the moment of the attack, they didn't have any. TBX has lockins specific to its chain, since you're making a new one, you'll need a new lockin and I'll make you a way to set a single lockin via config, so that when you reach, say, block 100 or so, you just plug its hash into a certain config option and don't need no recompile
