441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 09, 2018, 03:02:02 PM
Oh god dejounte murray will be out for this year because of his ACL injury during the preseason game.

Why can't the spurs ever catch a break, they had a all-defense member point guard who was great at passing out to teammates, defend really well and rebound incredibly while having a huge wingspan making team defense better while having rudy gay and lamarcus and pau gasol with him would create a full court wingspan between them...

Now he has to sit for the whole year and spurs fans have to hope that patty and lonnnie (maybe derrick white too) is enough for the whole season, between them there is not a single starter caliber player but its spurs lets hope they found a way.

It is always sad to see a player get injured for a whole season.
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't top $9,000 by year's end, Novogratz says on: October 09, 2018, 12:22:27 PM
The demand seems to have stagnated. So I would agree with what he says. There seems to be an over-supply of Bitcoin in the exchanges, and I don't know from where this is coming. A possible explanation is that Alexander Vinnik (or his friends) are dumping the stolen Mt Gox coins (a wild guess).
Well, it is a normal thing to see demand stagnated during periods like this when market is moving sideways, as there is uncertainty, check to see the level at which volume has dropped and apparently, most people are just waiting on the sidelines to see where the market will get to break out to.

At this moment, the bulls will need to make some real good statement to be able to see participation at this moment. Nonetheless, like you said, all this is just a wild guess and if bitcoin peradventure surpasses $9k, I am sure he will come up with another excuse like he did, with his previous predictions. Sure, I won't expect too much for this year, but at least, we can be hopeful.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 08, 2018, 04:01:43 PM
I have seen everyone ridiculing connor for the fight because he was not capable of defending himself against a take down and everyone talking about where khabib is from and how he did not take the insults very well and he fought really hard while connor was just making a joke out of this whole thing.

However, people are forgetting that khabib was fighting and winning while connor was out drinking and probably doing harder drugs and didn't fought anyone worthy just an exhibition match against mayweather. Connor at his worst took beating for 4 rounds and still manage to see the light at the end of the tunnel until one bad move.

If connor really prepared for years like khabib did instead of just publicity stunts, connor seems like the better fighter to me. He just needs stage time and training and he will kick anyones butt in the ring.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: Global financial crisis on: October 08, 2018, 02:10:05 PM
No one can predict exactly when the next crisis is going to happen, many have predicted that a crisis of enormous proportions was going to come and that countries will need to adopt gold as the main currency and still it has not happened, what we do know is that things cannot go like this forever and that at some point a crisis will happen, what we do not know is when that will happen and how big it is going to be.
Apparently, no one can! But one thing that is glaring at the moment is that there is a looming crisis lurking around and anytime soon, the chances of seeing it erupt like a volcano is absolutely there. Well, as things are, the good thing for most of us is that we have the freedom due to the liberalization that the cryptocurrency space brings and that I am sure is one thing that would really bring about some good growth into this space as people tend to start escaping fiat and looking for a store of value which I so much believe is what we would eventually get to see in the long run anyway.

Currently, there is a very strong slowdown in the economy. In order for positive changes to begin, innovative changes and introduction into the economy are necessary.
I believe there could not any worst situation similar to what we had experienced in 2008/2009. Fortunately at that times we did not have anything like bitcoin or any decentralized medium of exchange to protect savings against global economic melt down. Hence, even something unexpected will be happening, I guess most people here will not mind much.
445  Economy / Economics / Re: Malta is playing strong game on: October 08, 2018, 11:35:40 AM
Malta has always been a country that loved the foreign money income. They have gambling places which attracts all kinds of people to go there and gamble. They have online gambling certificates which means anyone can open an online gambling website and just start a business there to make it legit which also provides a lot of money to them. They have managed to get European visa for people who would want one and just ask for certain amount of money for it.

Malta is built upon the idea to make money from foreigners in general. Hence, trying to attract blockchain and crypto people by making everything on that space legal wouldn't surprise me, they would want that money to come to them as well.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ICOs trend stop in 2019 on: October 08, 2018, 10:22:11 AM
there is still hope in 2019, as long as bitcoin and eth are still valuable I think ico is an important part to support both of them to stay afloat and have prices on the market.
Well, nothing has changed much and for what I can see, the market is really attempting to hit the maturity stage gradually which would happen very fast with regulations. ICOs will definitely still be available, new ideas from new teams will sprout in the long run, and surely we will get to see some maturity in the space as we get to see more smart investors, quality team, as well as quality  products. Those coins that are shitty in the market at the moment will in the long run have no place at all to be able to thrive and that is one thing I so much believe would happen eventually.

As time goes by, I think the ICO in 2019 will be even better than in the previous year, because people will be wiser to examine how true ICO is and scams project.
Yes. The thing with ICOs today is that a whole bunch of them are scam and shitty and so many of them will only end up the drain as the market gets more matured in the long run. For what it is worth, I would say only those who have real life products that would be very usable in the long run, will be able to thrive in this market as far as I am concerned, and every other shit coin, will just probably end up more like the way we have penny stocks, gets listed on some shitty exchanges and have no future at all.

With things getting regulated possibly, we will sure see a better trend of quality ICOs which obviously would bring about a reduction in the number of ICOs we get to see eventually.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect your funds on: October 08, 2018, 09:07:20 AM
The easiest way to protect my funds is to keep them on an offline wallet like trezor or ledger.

Can they be really difficult to use at first until you get used to them ? Yes. Can they be expensive as hell for small investor? Yes.

However, in the end if you are going to be in the bitcoin and crypto business for a long time than there is no reason not to keep your funds in an offline wallet like ledger or trezor. I think exchanges are fine to hold your funds as long as it is not a huge number but when the number gets bigger the risks are getting bigger as well. Hence offline wallets are the way to go.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advertising at google or promote social media? on: October 07, 2018, 12:04:36 PM
Both are really important to be able to reach masses. Social media is an amazing oppurtunity for digital marketing.

Google on the other hand, is the jack of all trades.

I would say both should be used for marketing.
I would say Google in the long run will always have a better ad target compared to social media platforms. I have tried the two in the past, and I can at least say that based on my analysis, Google brought in more customers several times that I tried them and that absolutely makes it applicable to any other genre anyone would want to be advertising. There is no harm in going both ways as long as you have the funds to do so, like they always say, it is better to employ every avenue and over time, see which one suit you best.

When it comes to promotion of any kind, I would say there is no need limiting oneself to just a single promotional platform. Each promotion will always have a part to play and even though I can say that Google has always been a whole lot more effective from my own side, still, it is not like when fixed on the right target market, you still will not end up targeting some other category of people outside the general internet space that Google covers.

I would say the best thing is to just take advantage of any platform you can as long as it comes to promotional campaigns.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes enough is enough on: October 07, 2018, 05:06:33 AM
Because of gambling, we are turning into something we are. When we say gambling, there is money and money is everybody needs in order to live thier lives. In gambling, when we are winning we forgot losing that is why we just continue playing until we realize that the money we earn are all gone. If we won, then we must learn to save or to stop. We do not stop coz there is still a chance. We want to earn more. Life is not always like that.
Maybe we should say because of the wrong mindset, a lot of people have turned themselves to what they are today. We do not need a soothsayer to tell us that anyone who thinks they can make steady earning from gambling is already on the way to a huge fire and it is just only a matter of time before they ended up getting burned.

The ability to control is one thing that is lacking in most gamblers, and that is one thing that is generally not lacking when it comes to gambling impulse. The thing with gambling is that if you are not able to control, then you get controlled, as simple as that.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 06, 2018, 03:57:21 PM
I understand its just preseason but seeing players like ingram giving their %100 is hyping me out. I mean we know lakers would have to get a drastic change in the direction get even close to the western conference let alone finals because they will have to face teams like okc, rockets, spurs and of course warriors just to get there but if they are lucky about the seeding they can definitely get to western semi finals and that is an amazing chance for the young players to develop on playoffs.

They had these young players for couple years now but failed to get to playoffs so with lebron and the new vets these kids will see playing time at the biggest stage of the game.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge correction 3 months - How to invest in difficult times on: October 06, 2018, 03:06:09 PM
recently read the news that all ico projects last year sold the entire Ethereum. I think this is a sign that lower more will not fall
Well, that is one thing that makes the Ethereum space inflationary anyway. Nonetheless, over time, it is something we will eventually get to see fade off as regulation starts kicking, some of these shit-full projects becomes irrelevant and get thrown out of the market and we will get to see a more matured space with real life usage and massive adoption. We are not there yet, but one thing I certainly believe is that we are going to get there. The correction so far, is all based on the fact that people will always get greedy and when that happens, the possibility of the market coming back to find a bottom is always going to be there.

Every traders portfolio should be diversified between already established and low capped coins..
In the future, huge crypto-filter will filter a lot coins, therefore you should find middle point between shitcoins and monsters..
Even if you want to diversify into low cap coins, the essence of picking coins with potential should be your first priority and by that, I am referring to coins with real life usage. So far shitcoins are quite rampant in the market and a lot of them have no real life product and investing in altcoin itself is a huge risk that could end up profitable, but investing in a shit coin, that is like trying to commit pocket suicide. It is never going to be a difficult time when you see yourself as having a great opportunity to invest by picking the low prices which is what matters anyway.
452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your opinion about the decline in BTC prices in 2018 on: October 06, 2018, 10:25:11 AM
It is normal for the market to decline or go down. There is no such thing as uptrend forever. Also one of the biggest factor why it is declining is because of fear , uncertainty and doubt. Many investor are newbie and not that confident to hold their coins but instead they sell whenever they hear negative news.
Decline in the price is due to the over selling of Bitcoins in which people made losses as they had no ability to hold the coins till high market now better they think to go for short term investment only. On the other hand, if people want to go for long term then Bitcoin is available on low price right now and one can get huge benefit of it. In the future upcoming months, the price may start increasing so the best strategy is to get as much as you can.
When greed tends to kick in, the same way some of those greedy people who join FOMO tend not to want to miss out is the same way they will be panicking hugely and selling at loss, so they do not lose out. People were joining the crypto space all over the world through out last year, all in the name of wanting to get rich quick and not even bothering to understand what makes the space what it is, the fact that they should be looking at the future and the fact that they should not be joining FOMO.

Nevertheless, since people are always not so keen about learning, the chances of seeing whales play with their emotions will always be there and we will keep seeing things like this.
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch 20K USD end of 2018. What you think ? on: October 06, 2018, 09:23:20 AM
Do not forget that a large amount of bitcoin was bought in 2017 at a price higher than 10 000, and it is logical to assume that many investors will see how much they will begin to sell in order to close the deal at 0, that this should be avoided by a series of strong news that the dyest they can not sell faith
maybe the price will not reach $ 20,000 this year, even now it is still far from the target. yeah, but there are still many people who expect that. although this year is still difficult, I hope 2019 will be very easy to reach that price.
Even to reach $10k back is very difficult in this conditions? prices always bounce when want to go up to $7k? we need a shock news so that building demand becomes higher. maybe like an ETF Approved. it will definitely make demand rise very high and make prices rise rapidly
I would not say $10k is difficult yet, as that could be possible in the long run or short run depending on how the market would react and if we are able to see a break out and some short term movement upward, maybe there could be a chance for it.

Moreover, I would not bank on it too much, and for one thing, the market is in a state where no one can actually decide anything at the moment. Nonetheless, seeing $20k at the end of the year is like asking for a new ATH with $200 difference, which means we would have broken all the major resistance above us to be able to go to that length, which is something I do not see as possible before the end of the year.
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the price of cryptocurrencies be stable? on: October 05, 2018, 05:18:27 PM
I think the cryptocurrencies will never be stable because it is volatile and also the price stable for me will depend on the person when he/she entered the market so thats why its hard to predict the stable price.
Saying cryptocurrency will never be stable is more like you seeing the future and knowing it is not actually going to be stable. Anything can happen and of course we can understand that the volatile nature of cryptocurrency due to how they are and their proneness to speculations will always make it to keep being volatile, but trust me, with some wide adoption and usage, less of speculation, we will surely be able to attain something close to equilibrium even if we do not completely achieve it. This is what I am looking forward to in the long run though, but by then, the market cap would have really grown hugely.
It depends on everyone's definition of stability and however we want to see it, cryptocurrency is volatile when you are trading against other fiat possibly because fiats themselves are volatile and the fact that they are controlled does not mean they do not get to fluctuate against each other.

So, the idea of stability could be not seeing large fluctuations or not seeing fluctuations at all. if it is the former, it is definite that with mass adoption and real life usage in the long run, this is something possible, but for the latter, without no fluctuations at all, unless maybe the only thing we now spend is satoshi and everything in price is tagged in satoshi, we will keep seeing fluctuations.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SLEEPING GIANTS WAKE UP? on: October 05, 2018, 02:31:23 PM
It's unpredictable market and if this will reverse the market situation this could bring back life to those undervalued currency. I think ETH, XRP, XYO, OMX will be surely rise without a doubt as this has strong supporters. This is the best opportunity to buy those coins while still at lower price.
It is normal to see a rise after a fall and vice versa, it is just trend of the market based on how the market is perceived at some point. So far, the perception of most people is tending towards bullish and then we are getting to see a lot of people considering the market already reaching a recovery state since a whole lot of the altcoins have bottomed out and surely it is normal for us to see some level of growth if given the chance which is what I am envisaging COULD happen before the end of the year.

i hope nano prices can back to their form,
the development is still keep ongoing. Devs and communities are both active anyway
Nano is one of my portfolio after it has experienced a heavy dump in recent down markets. Just getting back to its previous higher prices alone will be enough for me to have some decent returns for my investments.
456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Bounty Hunter Guide: Things I Do Before Joining Bounty Campaigns on: October 05, 2018, 08:26:04 AM
I agree with you. It's better to have good than random campaigns. Before, what I did was to pick the campaigns on the first page of the bounty thread, and hope that it will pay in the future. I did not bother to get more information on the ICO, but now I learned it the hard way, by which out of all the campaigns I joined in the past, only around 10% were successful.

I'll follow what is stated here and try to get better campaigns.
A lot of bounty hunters think it is the quantity of the bounty project you are a part of that matters, but what they do not understand is that the few ones you can lay your hands on which are worth it, are far better than hundreds of shit projects put together and what the OP has mentioned is indeed what every bounty hunter should always be doing as long as they value their time and their space and would not want to waste it on irrelevant projects. The problem however with a lot of people is that they tend to just want to load their wallet with different bounties, either shitty or not.

458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading from a mobile application on Android. on: October 04, 2018, 04:50:33 PM
Hello community. I recently started trading with Android on Binance, everything works simple and clear. Does anyone trade with Android on other exchanges? what exactly? share your experiences. Thank you.
Trading that quickly is a failure to start with.

It creates chances to do out of nowhere trades and sudden moves which is the death of a trader. I think mobile phones should be kept out of trading even if that makes it easier to trade. I think a person needs to do his research to make any sort of trades, either long term or short term in the end it should be done carefully.

For you to make careful trades you need to really check the community behind the coin, the indicators, the historical data and the calendar for the future to see what it will do. If you can't check those and move right away there is a big chance you will buy a coin that might drop or not go up.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake ico and bounty on: October 04, 2018, 10:37:02 AM
Pls what are the best way to detect fake ico and fake project... We can't continue working to promote them and later discovered that it is bounch of fake... We really need tools to detect fake ico

Unfortunately, there is no 100% correct way to determine fraudulent ICO.
You need to pay attention to the White Paper, to the project team, to their goals, and so on. If something scares you, then it is better not to participate in this ICO.
Proper digging and diligence can actually bring about 100% way of identifying ICO scams. The problem with a lot of people is they want to get rich fast, and they just assume as long as they are diversifying risks, they are good, and with that, they just keep investing in anything that comes to mind without due diligence on what they are investing in.

I would not even say in the first instance anyone should be so much focused on the whitepaper as this can be plagiarized easily these days, what is important is to look at the team, their experiences in the past, how you think they can easily fit into this equation and deliver in the long run and then, take a look at the availability of a minimum viable product, before you even start considering the aspect of going technical by reading the whitepaper.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: a turn or a trap? on: October 04, 2018, 07:12:48 AM
i have seen enough of  this.... its a trap.
You have not seen enough yet and nothing so far is a trap unless you want to get trapped yourself. At the moment the market is trying to find a direction and we have been seeing the $6k support holding strongly, while we keep seeing the market do some strong movement upward generally, and all this is bringing some excitement into the market as well as some optimism, but nothing is a trap as long as no one is being deceived here. If you enter the market now in an indecisive period where the market could move either ways, then that is on you.

I don't think there is any turning point in the current market. The downtrend will continue, but there may be a turnaround in October!
It is still too early to start stating what will happen or not, because, certainly no one knows the future. I remember in the last attempt of bitcoin moving up in the short term, a whole lot of people were actually expecting a huge dump from there towards $5k and then, the pump just shot in and then we saw the market really doing good for a while before we are back down to the same support again and getting close to that juncture where no one can be sure of anything at the moment and how the market breaks out now is what we are all looking forward to see before making decisions.
