supposedly, but it will not work, and be easily exploitable.

What makes you so certain? That no one could possibly do something better than satoshi? Did you contemplate and discover that digital distributed cryptocurrency was only possible with proof of work before it was proven in practice?
proof-of-stake based systems are possible, and there are other risks with them then there are with proof-of-work based ones.

Or is it because you've clearly shown how incompetent I am? Roll Eyes
Nope, you have done that all by yourself. You answer most questions with a wall of text, and your proof-of-stake system is huge and complex.

Is the implementation / client for this in the works?

did you notice the trend about, that denmark rises after USA with a 'short' delay?
or that Denmark's movement down is flatting out?

TA is voodoo. Denmark's still going down.
wanna bet if Denmark is going up or down?

Which is why I'm making this very public. I really would like a child board for the history of bitcoin. We could collectively could run it and make a serious effort to ensure the history isn't lost.

We should embed it into the blockchain!
fuck you!

So, the black line (falling) is Denmark, and the gray line (rising) is USA?

now to you people who is saying that Denmark is failing after reading it in New York Times.
read the danish news paper article http://www.information.dk/458873
or just look at this picture(procent of the population who is working):

(i know that is it in danish, but google translate is your friend...)

You can only wake people up... That's our only hope for freedom.
Exactly.  I dreamed of creating an island nation for a while but I realized it wouldn't change much in the big picture.  The proper way to free the slaves is to:

1. Take LSD and lose all your fear
2. Call out the government for being a bunch of greedy, corrupt, serial killing, coked up gangsters, repeatedly.
3. Tell everyone the CIA will kill you and you'll come back to life at a music festival to make earth heaven, to remove the negativity.
4. The CIA will surely hear you.  They know their reign of power is approaching an end, they'd prefer to have peace rather than retaliation.
5. Let the CIA peacefully kill you to show the world proof.
6. Ejoy doing anything you can believe while feeling infinite love.
7. World sees that you were right, the economy crashes and a music festival is assembled.
7. Play guitar at music festival

This way, we can have a peaceful rEVOLution.

buddy do you realize how crazy you sound when you talk? I KNOW that what ever you are doing isn't helping our cause if you are associating any sovereignty movement with crazy talk like that.
Its not crazy talk! DANK IS JESUS! Don't you understand?

+1 this stuff is cool!

I mean, I guess someone could say, "I will attack you, and you should have no right to defend yourself," or "I will not defend myself even if you attack me," but those are not NAP.
the second one is NAP-compatible...

Then go to a university that doesn't have security guards.
Fuck off to your seastead!

it is not that same as religion, where people are able to believe in what they want.
I only used that analogy to make the simple point, that some people need religion, even though some(most!) don't. the same is it with the state, some people need the state because it makes them feel safe. you would be hurting a lot of people by removing the state's monopoly on power because that would destroy the state.
But not it's ability to keep them safe.
I don't want security guards on my university.
You don't need them now, why would you need them if the Danish government was a private entity?
USA lacks appropriate gun laws... USA needs them...
Non Sequitur. That does not answer the question.
Because Denmark have strict regulations of guns, we do not have the need of armed guards at our universities.

AnCap would require a zero-regulations policy, and we therefor would need armed security guards.

Follow now?

I really doesn't change anything because attacker does not need to start at genesis block but can start at later date when he successfully acquire his first seat.

You are correct. I am distracted atm. I never thought much on this because it is, for the most part, an edge case. In the case of seeing two networks (the node is not surrounded), the node that is being deceptive was either part of both (signing the CB) at the same time, still part of both (in which case the deception is obvious), or signed out of the honest network at the same time (still obvious), or had his stake destroyed by the honest network because he went "missing". If he's still in both, he's going to get his share destroyed for provably signing an incorrect block, assuming the one being deceived eventually realizes this and still has the info.

If the node is only getting one view of the internet, this is always going to be an easy to manipulate case, just like it is for bitcoin. The client could warn against "hey there's a time when there was only 1 SH -- this network is unlikely to be honest" type thing.

I can explain more if necessary a little later
and where do you put the limit then? 1 SH? 10 SH? 100SH?

S attacker will just buy enough SHs to fool the client and control the network

can't you people see "nearly unlimited" power of the state is because its allowed to force people to do stuff?
a state would not be a state, if it could not do that. it would just dissolve into a voluntary organisation, and therefor loosing its power.

it is not that same as religion, where people are able to believe in what they want.

The state is a necessary evil, and AnCap is more poison then its medicine.

...ancap does not function well without a state...
I'm just catching up on this thread, and thought this was worth calling out.
Yeah, kinda like saying fire doesn't function well without ice.
many people need a state, just as they need religion. You are hurting a lot of people if you remove the state.
We don't want to remove the state. Just the monopoly it has. Since you're comparing it to religion, consider it like wanting freedom of religion, instead of a state religion.
then go build a sea-stead!

i like the no gun laws and armed police officers, because it makes it unnecessary to have scary armed guards at my university.
Wow, this one too!
apparently universities in the USA have armed security guards(and the even have police too).
universities in Denmark does not have armed security guards.

just saying...
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decrits Digest: Solution for a value stable, truly decentralized currency on: April 29, 2013, 07:12:10 PM
Last paragraph of this post. There have to be SHs that exist at the beginning of the network or you'll have to resort to PoW to begin the network which will involve adding a whole slew of bootstrap code just to avoid giving money away to the "early adopters" when the late adopters also receive free money in Decrits. An attacker can't create a false history because he'd have to get the genesis block SHs to agree to it.
ok. i will ask you again:

may i ask which part of CAP you intend to sacrifice?
459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is the thread where you discuss free market, americans and libertarianism on: April 29, 2013, 07:11:05 PM
Actually, that sounds very much like American Christians trying to pass laws that ban abortion and homosexuality, and force religion into public office, and then yell, "We are being oppressed!" when the people who are NOT Christians tell them to stop doing oppressive stuff. Sorry, but you can't claim someone is imposing their iron will on you, when they are just trying to stop YOU from imposing YOUR iron will on everyone else.
well except that you are the people yelling "We are being oppressed!". AnCap people is a minority, accept it!

Ok, please give me a list of what kind of rules or things will be forced on you should AnCap take over and you find yourself in an AnCap world? What exactly will you be oppressed with or forced to do?
absolut freedom and resposability will be forced upon me, and i don't want that.

do you think AnCap people is a minority? (please just for once answer the fucking question)
