4401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 08, 2016, 06:06:35 AM
I've been an addict. And some time I have tried to stop. It's not easy. I have read many articles of self help, saw several videos on youtube and always trying to kick the habit. More recently I read a book "the power of habit" and that helped overcome my addiction. Today when I want to play, I separate some bitcoins for it. If you lose not continue. I'll do something else. Currently I do Yoga and meditation.

I hope yoga and meditation helped you and make fast recovery from addiction. Meditation can really help your mind focus away from the bad habit and focus more on good activities. You can also try sports to replace gambling. It is good for your health and do not eat away your money. Good luck with your rehabilitation.
4402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you spend your gambling winnings on ? on: June 08, 2016, 04:13:58 AM
In was just thinking about this earlier today and I was wonder how different people from different countries would spend their gamblin winnings?

If you do spend it what do you spend it on and why ?

If you don't spend it what do you do with it ? Do you gamble more ?

I do not win often on gambling but I won once and I spend it all non-sense things. I guess that is what you do when you get money that easily, you just spend them just as easily as well. I do not do that to the money I earned thru hard work and labor. I store them and make good use of them.
4403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: June 08, 2016, 04:01:27 AM
I do not gamble to much but it always seems that when I do, I take the loss big time.  For example, I have lost over 3 BTC in the BustaBit game online.  It is fun and I like to play but I always get greedy with it.  I have won about 2.2 BTC back, but I lost more than what I have won.  For some odd reason, I keep coming back over and over.  I do not know why I do it, why do you?

Those free satoshis from the sites and sometimes the giveaways from games and rounds makes me comeback to the gambling site and gamble a bit. If I win, well and good. And if I lose, it is okay since I did not worked for the satoshis I spend on the bet. It is just giveaways from the site and means nothing to me.
4404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 08, 2016, 03:55:29 AM
Game 3, Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers. If Cavaliers want win, they must win this game 3 or game over. I think Cavaliers can win on game 3.
If CAVS couldnt win the game 3. It would be so hard for them to win in game 4 as GSW will surely boost their confidence more than they have right now. They will force to sweep the series if GSW get the game 3.

Sure they played very bad if they think to go on like this they will end up losing with 0
I don't want to see them lose this 3rd game
Me too, cleveland cavaliers need to fight back for this one, they need to play with sense of urgency because after this if they lose, the chances are very low for them to win the NBA Finals, do everything they can and don't let the fans going home disappointed.
They need to give it there are in game 3 because if not they have lost the series without even playing a fourth game. They need to show the GSW that they can play, if not the GSW will run over them.

It will be a different story, I think, since they are now playing at home and they have an advantage. They will be more confident and inspired because of the fans. My money is on the CAVS even if they are 0-2 and have less chance to win the championship. I just hope they work as a team and make their defense much better than before.
4405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I should do , if gambling in my country illegal? on: June 08, 2016, 03:50:25 AM
What rules must I observe ?

You can just evade them by gambling online and protect your location or IP address by using VPN or anything that can hide your IP address. But if they caught you, then you are on your own. Do you really want to risk being punished by doing something that can wreck your life? I don't think that is a good idea.
4406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: June 08, 2016, 03:43:08 AM
I would still gamble to enjoy myself and to kill time. I won't be a high roller as I know that it would be a reason for me to be addicted. Maybe for a couple of dollars or so, I would stake at a gambling house just to have some fun.

No, You need to be rich to be a gambler. How can you gamble if you have nothing to invest. however I decided to gamble for fun unexpectedly I won and I continue to gamble until I took the chance to take all my money to gamble and I lost because change purposes from for fun to profit!

if you are rich, why do you must have fun with gambling? many things more fun than gambling, you can even go on vacation the whole world, and it's more fun. the effects of gambling can make you addicted again at any time
Looks this method is great its better to go in the whole world its good for me than gambling.. but if gambling gives me luck day by day.. maybe i will stay in gambling instead..
gambling will not give you the luck day by day. but if you're rich, it's better to have gambling sites, it will be profitable day to day.
may create its own gambling sites is a good idea, maybe you can get richer by it, because if you were gambling on another site, you may be poor in a short time

Yes, invest on a gambling site rather than make a gambling site richer. You can make more money investing on or running a gambling site because house edge is on your side. But if you gamble, then you are just giving away your money. At least if you invest on a gambling site, you make your money work for you.
4407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: June 08, 2016, 03:40:32 AM
In depends on the type of gambling you choose, only one gambling type that I could consider as trading, it is none other than sports betting. In sports betting, there is an opening line and closing line, now, if you are good in analyzing the line you can always make a profit doing some kind of arbitrage. In addition, you can also doing it in live betting which is for me is the best example of what you are talking as trading.

You may actually have a point here. With all the analyzing and studying in order to make a good bet on a sports betting, it can be compared to the way you study and analyze graphs in order to make a good trade. Sports betting is like and can be considered as trading. But dice gambling, can never be considered as trading. It is pure luck.
4408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: June 07, 2016, 04:35:14 AM
Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley
in logical view, its just same between gambling and trading, both are same wait for the answer, lose in gambling mean the price is going lower in trading, and won in gambling mean the price raise so high in trading, make sense?
Yes and to support the fact that trading is also a form of gambling is that most of the sites have started to take bets on bitcoin price, where you guess for a specific time, the price,  and if its higher than that you win and lower you loose.

it only becomes a gambling if you are making a wild guess where the price is going. Trading is not a gambling if you know what you are doing. Problem is people wants to be a trader but do not want to do what is necessary to become one. You cannot become a trader overnight. You study and do a lot of practice trading and make sure your system is right before you can trade. Skip that and you might as well just do dice.
4409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 07, 2016, 04:31:36 AM
Gambling almost wrecked my life but now I've vowed to never gamble again. I really don't want to be chasing massive losses hoping to break even then I would lose my car and house like what happens to some people. I won't do that it's not worth the risks.

Good thing it never wrecked your life, just almost. And you have quit before it can do a lot of damage. Many people think that gambling is an easy money but what they do not know is that they are just giving away their money to the house in exchange of a few clicks of a button. It is really not worth it. Your time and money can be put into more responsible thing than gambling.
4410  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 07, 2016, 04:28:30 AM
I think the best solution is do both jobs, focus on your day job and do on bitcoin too if you have free time. Is it good ? I think it's good, so we can maximum our income with bitcoin too.

I think it's hard to take both of them, you will not have time off when you come home from work. it will be very tiring if you do both. because I have experienced

You do not have to be full time on both. You should just take bitcoin as a part time job so that it only requires you to spend a little time on it. You still need to prioritize your day job if that is very time consuming and important to you. If you are trading bitcoins, you do not need to be all the time focus on it. YOu just have to take a peek once in a while. The only time it needs your full attention is when the price is moving abruptly.
4411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 07, 2016, 04:25:14 AM
This is the most childish question I have ever seen . If you want to stay away from gambling, just forget it and soon you will forget your passwords .

Well gamblers just can't stay away from gambling easily. Since they are already addicted with this kind of way to earn btc.
And I don't think this is a childish question. Because gamblers who want to change their way of living and wanted to quit gambling, must needed to
helped by those people who really can.

I think he never know someone who is in real trouble because of  gambling addiction. But once you know or experienced it, you know that it requires professional help to get out of a certain addiction. You cannot quit it on your own, you'll need the help of people around you and a professional who can guide you on quitting properly.
4412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 07, 2016, 04:21:04 AM
Well I am not addicted  to gambling but is just fun when you win.
Even I am not addicted I can't stop playing.
I am saying that I just don't play every day maybe 1 time in a month

Be thankful if you are not addicted in gambling, for if we experience the addiction then we will always be dependent on it, and if we don't do this for some reason then we will automatically be forced to do so in various ways.
Me myself has been addicted with gambling when I was a newbie because I thought I could make an easy money out from gambling, maybe because I don't have a stable job that time and I only earn a little amount and was tempted to do stupid things thinking gambling could solve my problem but I was wrong with my decision because instead of making money I am losing a lot of money and wasted my time and effort. But that was life, the most important is we learn from our experience and promise not to do it again.

It is good you realized your mistake before you are really in a very deep trouble. It is different when you caught it early because you can easily stop gambling. But if you are on a stage when you are really addicted to it, you cannot easily get away from it. You will need professional help before you can stop gambling addiction.
4413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 07, 2016, 04:18:20 AM
The CAVS were so overwhelmed and not fighting as a whole that it made the refs basically say, "You suck, not helping you this time." It's as clear a sign for LeBron to see that there are some things he need to work on. He's not a dumb guy so I believe he will adjust.

It is not just lebron who needs to adjust. The whole team needs to adjust and work their back off. If they really want their first ever championship, they need to adjust and work as a team. No one man team can beat the warriors. It needs the help of the starters and the bench players to beat the Warriors. I hope they can do it on next game when they are at home and have a better motivation.
4414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: June 07, 2016, 04:15:41 AM
Yes, because many articles and predictions out there said that the price of bitcoin will go up to $1000 per peice so why not to hold my bitcoin until end of july and then i will sell it for a higher price.

I do not think that at the end of july this year you will reach the 1000$ mark. It will still take some time before bitcoin can grow that much. And I predict that after halving, the price will drop because everyone is holding and planning to dump on after halving. So the effect is, the price will drop on that time. But it will recover soon too. I hope.
4415  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: June 07, 2016, 04:13:21 AM
If you were born rich, you dont have any problem on how to get rich.. So what are the ways to get rich?
Example of hardworking people are chinese, this people can turn a small business into a big one,, cause they always think about money /profit. Here in our country most establishment and business were managed by chinese people.

Chinese people are not only hardworking, they are also wise, even a cent they don't let it just pass by as long as there is a chance to learn any amount even with small interest or profit they are grabbing the opportunity. Hard work, being wise, dedication, knowledge and patience can lead you to becoming rich.

There is zero-technological innovation and creativity in China. They are always copying the European, American, Russian and Japanese technology. When was the last time the Chinese invented a major technological innovation? Just compare the Japanese technology with the Chinese one, and you will find how much inferior the latter is.

They copy technology but they know how to market it very well and that makes them very rich. And the good side of Chinese copying technology from other countries is that it drives the price lower. Without them, poor people can't afford the technology. I know it is not a good practice but it has some benefits. Plus it can be used to make you rich.
4416  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 07, 2016, 04:09:40 AM
Investing now is better than saving because if you just now pump all your money into the bitcoin you will make a lot of profit.
The growing part and halving will help you with making profit!

Investing is always good but do not forget the benefits of having a savings. Saving is as important as investing. Investing gives you the opportunity to earn more and make your money work for you. It can be use as an advantage over inflation. While saving gives you the security in mind.
4417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 06, 2016, 12:40:36 AM
Block the sites delete all traces of passwords or usernames then delete all your gambling profiles. Never be around a large amounts of money unless you are buying something. Try to keep a few wallets . keep your main stash offline with a paper wallet in the safe and keep spending money spread out over a few accounts. You could also put a longer wallet password so it takes longer giving you time to think. If you struggling that much give your money to someone else where you can't get it.
I think this is not the best solution.. how about if they can still stay away in online instead they are now looking for offline gambling casino.. so i think this is the best solution.. if you really want to stay away from gambling i think better to have a vacation in far places with your friends..

After the vacation, what will happen then? Do you really think gambling addiction can be removed that easily? Even if you go on vacation for a month, after you come hack you will still gamble. You need professional help if you are addicted to it already. That is a sure way to get away from gambling.
4418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 NBA Finals on: June 05, 2016, 09:41:50 PM
Can't see the Cavaliers winning this time,

We'll see if they have a chance in the first game in Cavaliers home
Don't be too sure man, this league is full of surprises, game 1 was just game 1 in a best of 7 series, too early to conclude. Cavaliers has been playing well this postseason and was able to make a good adjustment after every loss so I will expect to see that happening in game 2. With Lebron being lebron again the cavaliers will be unstoppable, they should be aggressive at the start of the game and maintain it until the end of the game.

Their hole is in their defense, they have a good offense. They just have to fine tune their defense and it will be a good game. CAVS will have to adjust their defense and not just focus on two players. Their bench should contribute too, even not so much on offense. The three can handle the shooting. Bench should strengthen their defense and not let gsw shoot uncontested.
4419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 05, 2016, 01:53:06 PM
i found my self broke because gambling
i found my life in a mess because gambling

but because gambling too suddenly rich, suddenly be a billionaire
because gambling too you know what it is the real have fun

how about you?

is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life?

In my case, it fix my life. It made me realize that no one wins from gambling and no one gets rich from gambling. It will not do any good to me. It helped me how to control myself. It helped me to become a better person. Smiley

It made you a better person by avoiding gambling? Good story. First time I heard a positive response from a negative effect of gambling to a person. If only all people could react this way, gambling will never have any negative connotation in regards to losing money.
4420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go back to bellow $400? on: June 05, 2016, 12:02:10 PM
Soon $415 again and later $391. See the bear flag forming after May 19th. If it keeps on dwindling we'll be in the low 300s after summer.

The price is higher than $440 now. It seems that the bitcoin price will not drop to $390 in the near future.

Bitcoins will go below 400$ after the Halving. The reason is that at the Halving everyone will start selling their coins to get maximum profit and there will be no buyer at that time who is willing to invest in bitcoins. So when everyone selling the price will go down hugh paces and it can g down to even 200$

This could probably happen on the first few days after halving. People will dump their coins on the first opportunity of real profit. Then, the real users will kick in and.will drive the price back up. The price will stabilize after that and that will be good for all of us.
