4521  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: May 28, 2019, 12:40:41 PM
The global economy is still weak despite what has been done (or not) since 2008. People, countries, central banks started to realize this and cover their ass by turning to Gold

From what I know, gold determines the value of a country's currency depending on the number of their respective reserves. People seem to compare bitcoin to gold but what makes them different is its innate value and accessibility.

No, this is definitely not going to happen. Because gold is a completely dysfunctional metal. Bitcoin is an investment tool that has more functions than even money.
Agree no one is now interested in gold because bitcoin has achieved the best investment title for everyone, we should have believe that moving with time is important so gold is old fashioned investment now. When you are travelling you can carry bitcoin with you but you can carry of get your needs with gold, so I think people still love only bitcoin

Bitcoin and gold investments are different and depend on your goal as an investor. One would argue that bitcoin may be better in terms of realizing short-term income and others would prefer purchasing gold instead. Diversify your portfolio by considering each depending on your need.

Quoting this as a reference sa sinabi mo, OP.

4523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think ? Is this an opportunity to get in or get out on: May 27, 2019, 02:15:48 AM
My personal opinion is they doesn't understand this is a time that any investor should invest more into Bitcoins because after along time BTC has shown us it is not a Bubble or just another financial failure so as investors we should have a clear understanding in order to make this opportunity an advantage

The price of bitcoin is highly-volatile, which means that some investors are not inclined into this kind of investment method. Some conventional investors would prefer investing in a relatively low-risk, low-yield type of investment (i.e. stocks, bonds, etc.). Unlike bitcoin, you may consider this as a high-risk, high-reward mechanism wherein everything depends on its price.

The price has been steadily increasing with little resistance in the past 2-3 weeks. Before the price sat on $6,000 but currently its price is on $8,700. Short-term investments may yield results if you purchased before.
4524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this year be favourable to you? on: May 26, 2019, 09:38:29 AM
I don't know if this year has bring alot of luck to you?  It seems everything about cryptocurrencies is stagnated because of the continuously downfalls in pricing and I do believe that the only sector that is benefiting from the advent of cryptocurrencies is gambling industries . This year how much have you made so far in gambling?

When the prices of each bitcoin went down to around $4,000-$5,000, I took that opportunity to purchase bitcoins since I assumed that prices would recover back from $6-$8,000. Fortunately, prices did recover at that time and I used a portion of my winnings to try my luck in gambling.

I used around 0.01 BTCs in my gambling and earned 0.005 from spinning and betting. Since I already garnered and got my fair share of income, I stopped and looked at the bright side of it.

Overall, this year has been continuously fruitful in terms of income. I have received a relatively substantial amount and I pray that this continues. Of course in gambling, one should know when and how to stop to avoid succumbing to addiction.
4525  Other / Archival / Re: Do any of you feel guilty? on: May 26, 2019, 07:22:23 AM
Over 90 percent of posts in the gambling section have gambling signatures, do you guys even care that you are preying on other people to lose their money in casinos.  Casinos aren't your friends, there goal is to take money away from you.  Do none of you feel guilt for advertising casinos?

No, I do not feel guilty advertising any kind of signature regardless of its nature. Even if people advertise their signature about gambling, it still depends on the discretion of an individual if he/she would succumb himself to addiction.

Gambling in itself is not illegal. Unfortunately, over the years ever since its existence, it has this stigma about its reputation being illegal and sketchy. What makes gambling negative is the addiction that you feel IF you lack the self-discipline and control over your decision.

No why would I feel guilty about it?
I didn't force them didn't I?
It was their own choice they made their own decision ,
It was there own choice they take the risk and they couldn't blame anyone but their own if they lose .

That is true. Advertising signatures about gambling does not constitute about compelling anyone to join or to participate in such manner.

4527  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ilang BTC kailangan nating I hold para sa future? on: May 26, 2019, 04:13:39 AM

4528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin hit 100k in 2020? on: May 25, 2019, 07:43:41 PM
Bitcoin is about to get a lot more expensive than it is today,
So is it possible to see Bitcoin price hovering around 100k each by next year and why?

Source:   https://medium.com/@Amiono4/can-bitcoin-hit-100-000-in-2020-a4c424cc1d34

Well, it is not entirely impossible but I highly doubt so. Even with the recent implementation of the Bakkt exchange, reaching $100,000 in this short amount of time requires extreme luck and prayer. In addition, reaching that kind of price would benefit most but I consider it as a double-edged sword in terms of transaction prices.

If you was seen that year by year bitcoin rising calculation then it's can do happening! but it's just assume and nothing more but if it's come about then will this day definitely fantastic day for every bitcoin holders! I wish this day will definitely coming up in near future!

Almost everyone expects and hopes that bitcoin prices would skyrocket but it will not happen anytime soon. Prices right now are stable at $8,000. But it is never too bad to hope!

I have good faith that your ban will be considered and uplifted faster compared to most of the users who got affected on the recent ban wave. Due to your contribution and asset as someone who is dedicated to find fake ICOs and scams, your penalty might be relatively lenient. Wishing you the best of luck, tvplus and may you continue doing your work!
4530  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Cryptogambling - Real Casinos - Perya on: May 24, 2019, 09:37:13 AM

For example: first bet mo 20 at kung natalo ka, next bet mo 40 and so on para mabawi kaagad yung mga natalo.

4532  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 22, 2019, 12:57:31 PM
What made me excited into investing is cryptocurrency but unfortunately it was not bitcoin but a scamming project called TheBillionCoin which by name itself really sounded so dubious. Okay, I was still innocent and naive at the time. Soon, I meet bitcoin and it was not yet that pricey at the time but because I was not convinced that it can go sky-high I just bought some.

What are the sources of the money you invested with bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Anybody here used credit cards?

I was at your exact situation a few years ago when I invested my bitcoins to this ponzi scheme called USI-TECH foundation.

As a student who has bright dreams of finishing school to support my family, I impulsively invested $150 worth of bitcoins (which is relatively a large amount of money for me as a student) since the website promised to render 150% returns after a year.
In addition, I even attended a conference in Manila held by their head (they visited) which made their project very promising to almost everyone who visited that night. After 3 months of putting my money, their website shut-down and my money was lost!

I learned this lesson the hard way but it made me much wary before investing my money. As of now, I keep my bitcoins in our local exchange wallet and I also considering diversifying my portfolio by learning stocks along the way. I also might invest long-term in a bank (maybe in the future) which would further maximize of earning money.
4533  Local / Pilipinas / Re: How much is the bitcoin's price when you first learn of its existence? on: May 22, 2019, 10:20:11 AM
I started joining this forum two (2) years ago noong kada price niya ay nasa P200,000-P220,000.

Keep barking, dude.

Even trusted and reputable members in the forum got affected by the recent waves of ban due to plagiarism. Bill gator plagiarized a content and he suffered the consequence of getting banned. In fact, his punishment was lenient compared to most users who got banned as well!

Regardless of what your asset in the forum may be, if you broke the rules then you suffer the consequences. Stop with this BS.

Hi,

I checked the website and observed that it lacked the WhitePaper of the project. Also, people would very much appreciate if you upload the real identity of the person behind the project to verify the validity of it. Thanks!

4536  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Philstocks.ph partnership with Coins.ph on: May 22, 2019, 03:50:28 AM
I'm not affiliated with them but I just saw this on my newsfeed and it's a post by coins.ph that they are now able to fund your https://www.philstocks.ph/ account to start trading.

VERY very useful article! Thank you for posting this!

Talagang convenience yung naibigay ni coins.ph sa pag partner sa philstocks and I cannot wait to try and mag-simula dito!

Actually good partnership to in the side of coinsph, im pretty sure na yung mga bitcoiners natin is also using philstock.

May mga kilala ako actually na nag philstocks at nag bitcoin at the same time.
4537  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban Appeal] bill gator on: May 22, 2019, 02:04:43 AM
I understand that my sentence is lenient in comparison to what others are receiving, but allow me to make a case for my "innocence".

The post that was plagiarized was this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996622.msg11970365#msg11970365

Original : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996622.msg11223465#msg11223465

and from what I can tell it was a blatant case of plagiarism. Now, let me be honest with all of you: I did not post that.

Regardless if you were not the owner at that time, that account you are holding still plagiarized which is against the forum rules. Again, we are talking here about the entirety of the ACCOUNT and not the present nor the past user.

bill gator is an account I bought on November 7th, 2015. The plagiarized post occurred before I was the owner of the account. The plagiarized post was done while there was nothing in the signature and nothing to gain.

Dude you just dug your own grave with that statement. You should have at least accepted the consequences and lived with it. Lots of users in the forum are getting PERMANENTLY banned from plagiarizing content and the moderators are already lenient with your case. You just made everything worse to be honest.
4538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be the main currency in Mars? on: May 22, 2019, 01:15:10 AM
Hey guys, taking a break from the bull hype for a minute.

I came across this article this morning lol it was super funny but interesting at the same time...

https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/4-reasons-why-elon-musk-should-consider-bitcoin-as-mars-currency/

Do you guys think Elon Musk could potentially make BTC the main currency in Mars?

I find this article interesting but there are things needed to consider before implementing this kind of idea. Hell, everyone is still debating if the external and internal conditions on Mars is habitable or if life can exist there and people are already talking about the currency to use there!
Going back to the question, introducing cryptocurrency as its foundation would always start at Earth- meaning all transactions will be utilized in our planet first before implementing it to Mars. That is why I highly doubt that it will materialize anytime soon.

I do like the article! I think it’s a whole point of developing into a new society – no borders, including currency.
Besides, using fiat on another planet is a nonsense. There will be different hierarchy and different needs, a brand new history.
Moreover only psychologically stable people will make it to Mars. So it’s very likely they won’t need that game attributes we use here on Earth.

It would be actually interesting if it were to be implemented but I highly doubt so. People are already thinking of the currency to be used on Mars but everyone still doubts if life can exist there! I find the irony indeed funny!
4539  Other / Meta / Re: Any managers lost good posters due recent mass ban? on: May 21, 2019, 11:57:12 PM
Plagiarism has been an issue roaming around the forum affecting almost everyone plagiarized their threads when they were newbies/brand new members. Unfortunately, it affected also the quality and experienced members that is why there are lots of ban appeals in this section right now. But bear this in mind: with the number of people joining this forum everyday, there will never be a shortage of good posters and quality members.
4540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading strategy do you guys use? on: May 21, 2019, 11:44:13 PM
Hey guys, what kind of trading strategy do you use? and Why? What's the effectivity rate?

I usually do day-trading which focuses on accumulating small accruements of profit but with high-volume. I utilize my relatively small capital to acquire small gains but with consistency on results. I would rather lose a series of trades than on one big trade due. I prefer the market being highly volatile as it makes my trades skyrocket depending on the timing.

When I'm starting, I spend 4-5 hours a day watching the charts because I tried to get a profit in just minutes but I see it very stressful so I stop it after a few weeks. Now I'm doing the buy and hold where I will just hold a coin until my target selling price has reached. This will give me lesser profit but it has lesser risk too. I'm not an expert trader so I'd prefer holding while doing short trades.
By holding your coins you would be able enough to reach out at your desired market price where you want to sell it and get the profit. But all this will happen only if you an active trader who checks the price movement hourly and stick to the market. By watching and analyze the charts or price movement will help you out to make decisions which will be in your benefit only if you are good at dealing with it.

Holding is also another type of strategy but mainly focuses on the long-term aspect. Many people prefer this kind of strategy but the accumulation of profit is relatively slow especially when you focus on gaining. There is lots of opportunities wasted on this kind of strategy. That is why I usually do 2-3 types of investment strategies and HODL is part of it.
