I was genuinely surprised to find out that bill had been banned for plagiarism.  I found his posts to be wordy and contrived to the point of being monotonous, even verging on spammy, but I never would have pegged him for a plagiarist.  The excuse that the account was purchased makes perfect sense.


I have to disagree with you on this TP.  Obviously you are entitled to your opinion and you can react any way you choose, but one needs to ask why the member bought the bill gator account.  Was it because he didn't like the name he had already chosen for his account as the OP claims, or was it because he got CMAS listed for his wordy monotony?  Buying an account is cheating, plain and simple.  It's no different than buying or forging a college degree, in my opinion.  You can argue that bill has been a contributing member of the community, and makes decent, articulate posts, but it was rooted in deception.  

If it wasn't intended to deceive the community why wouldn't he have disclosed that he had purchased the account right from the start?  Why didn't he just start with a fresh account?  The answer is likely to qualify for sig and bounty campaigns in which his other account was no longer welcome.



No, bill isn't your typical sig spammer, and he did earn his way onto the most coveted campaign on the forum.  And I mean that, he earned his way onto that campaign.  It's not like he bought a great account, got accepted into chipmixer and started posting shit.  It was his own words that got him into that spot.  

I'm all in favor of being lenient on people who make mistakes early on, but the deceit he has perpetrated on the community makes me less sympathetic for his case.  Whats fair is fair: If bill can prove that he purchased the account after the post in question, then I wouldn't mind seeing his ban being lifted.  He shouldn't be punished for a crime he did not commit.  But buying an account without a public disclosure at the time is something that negates any trust I had for him.  

I don't think bill bought the account to scam anyone, if so he's very slow to build up to that.  But he's been deceptive none the less.

Thanks for the request, sypcoin but I'm sorry, you do not qualify for an unsecured loan.

The trust system requires us to use our own discretion and subjectivity.  I think it's safe to take the banned members on a case by case basis.  Treating them all the same way on your trust list might not be the best way approach the situation.

As for the members who are temp-banned; I'm willing to forgive members for making mistakes when they were new here.  Not everybody is as sensitive about plagiarism as I am.  But it's not something I can forget, and to pretend that it won't affect my judgment in the future would be misleading.  It might mean I'm less likely to include some one on my trust list, or at least less tolerant of errors in judgement.

He seems to prefer the latter, and his justification is accurate.  Our economy is strong, and getting stronger.  Unemployment is historically low.  And lets be realistic, America is great and has been for a long time.  I like Keep America Great, and I like Trump in 2020.

For some reason manufacturers of plastic injection molds are backed up for months and months.  One of our better suppliers is almost two years out for new orders.  Oddly, lead time for injection molding machines hasn't changed much in recent months, I'm afraid what ever factor has affected mold makers hasn't hit the machine makers yet.

Isn't that the whole point of internet forums?  So adults can indulge in schoolyardesque bullying, name-calling, and mudslinging behind the comfort and safety of a TOR browser?

Answer these questions, please:
If we cannot eliminate evil, is there a need for guns?
Why are children being killed every other week?
How have 85 years worth of gun restrictions helped prevent children from being killed?
Are there solutions that don't include holding innocent people responsible for the actions of the guilty?
Are there solutions that don't leave innocents susceptible to tyranny?
How can blame an inanimate object for your lack of real solutions?

According to Anderson Cooper he would have $800 million if he had not spent any of the bitcoin on pizza.  The conversion rate they used during filming was BTC1 = $8,000, so that's a total of BTC100,000 that Laszlo has spent.  I hope he held on to a few, and enjoyed the pumps that might never have happened if he hadn't placed the pizza order.

Absolutely true.  And if we can eliminate menstruation, women wouldn't attack their husbands with rolling pins.  Lets solve rolling pin violence.

And so by this logic; if we cannot eliminate evil, there is a need for guns, right?  So why are you and all your "gun violence" pals not focusing on the root cause, which is violence, without qualifiers.  Eliminating guns is a band-aid.  It doesn't solve the issues which lead to violence in the first place.

Gun control isn't about guns, it's about control.  It's not about preventing violence, it's about preventing decent.  It's about picking and choosing who gets to perpetrate violence against whom.  

Anyone who pretends that they want to ban guns for humane purposes is a hypocrite and a liar.  Banning the ability for a law-abiding citizen to defend himself is the most inhumane thing I can imagine.  If you actually care about people then wake up and open your eyes.  Stop believing the propaganda that's only meant to keep you in chains.  

Wrong.  We'll have one super power developing technologies, another super power attempting to steal that technology to use for consolidation of power, and we really don't get to chose who has access to our personal information.

I'm all about banning ignorance, but look where that's gotten us.  So I have a question: what if we could somehow eliminate the root cause of all violence, would you still be "all about banning guns?"
