Who is the biggest multipool these days ?

I want to change pool_unknown_80 to known_pool_name. LOL

pool_unknown_80  might be wafflepool.  Growth pattern matches.  Will confirm the next time wafflepool hits a DRK block.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: caught red handed and making excuses and shifting blame and attention.. on: June 15, 2014, 05:26:40 AM
why did not you try to contact me before for explanation

why would he ?

you posted false information and you knew it and your behavior backs his point.
He didn't post false information... Busoni and obviously you do not understand the bitcoin source code apparently.  MAX_COINS is totally irrelevant and the OP is garbage.

I'm going to clue in that Spoetnik is an idiot troll tho, and just put him on ignore.

Busoni certainly appears to have jumped the gun on this one.  Initially I was encouraged by the fact they are reviewing source code... but as I thought about it and looked at the code myself, I realized Busoni and Poloniex to be unprofessional fools.

---

This said, I would never use SUPER because of the anon method they have apparently chosen to pursue...

Ring signatures for spends and stealth addresses for receiving payments - this is what a good anonymous solution looks like.

Are you going to publish your changes to the node-cryptonote-pool project?
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 10:47:09 PM
Hi, Everyone,

Today me and Wolf0 launched a Monero pool with 3x faster share validation and lowest orphan rate possible: http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Support thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=651901.0

Everyone is welcome to join us Wink
The node-cryptonote-pool project is licensed under the GPL...

Please provide your patch set for the pool so that everyone can benefit from these changes.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 10:38:50 PM
It is probably not a scam, the payments are failing for some reason and being written to files for manual payment later.. I have had this issue with my pool in the past as well.
That would be fine, except the admin isn't acknowledging any issue.  E-mail from monero.crypto-pool.fr admin just over 6 hours ago:

Quote
You are sure ? You have refresh wallet ?
All payout is ok for all.

Since then, he has stopped responding.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO][XMR][HOW TO] Install GUI wallet & mine Monero on Windows !!NEW: GPU!! on: June 14, 2014, 10:35:14 PM
So,

I have two rigs, which according to the pool site should have been paid 4 XMR each for the last day. Wallet on one rig shows balance of 0.73 XMR only, the other 1.8 XMR.

monerod on both rigs shows a lot of failed txid verifications in red text - I suspect this is the main reason for wallets not showing the XMR. Rig with smaller balance says it has problem with mapping UPNP, otherwise no problems. Also, both daemons say in green that sync to blockchain is ok.

I am using the latest simplewallet as instructed, instead of the GUI one.

Why are some transaction id verifications not going through? Is this something with the pool or on my end? Or is the problem something else, like simplewallet and gui wallet being in the same folder and mixing up each others files? Or is the problem something else?

Thanks
Nobody is getting paid properly by monero.crypto-pool.fr.  There are numerous people that have confirmed no payments for the last day.

Strongly suggest anyone mining at monero.crypto-pool.fr find another pool promptly!

The pool admin has been inactive for 36 hours on the forums, and has stopped responding to e-mails - not a good sign.  Even if the pool starts paying again, I would never trust this admin again with my hashing power...
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 10:32:21 PM
The admin (superesistant in this forum) said he was changing his payout system due to the "dust" problem discussed here previously. I think the new payout system doesn't work properly yet.
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613072.180
The owner is active in this thread and member of this forum since may 2013, active for monero promotion.
This is not a scam.
But I agree : there is payment problem (I am waiting about 7 xmr).
The admin, superesistant - a normally active user - hasn't posted on this forum is over 36 hours, and has stopped responding to e-mails about this payout problem (responded within 5 minutes previously).

I doubt this is a scam either, but I wouldn't make a bold statement that it isn't a scam at this point.

At the least, seeing the admin fail this miserably certainly means I will never point my hashing power there again... Giving hashinvest.ws a shot for now.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 10:19:53 PM
hi all
does any one has payout issue with monero.crypto-pool.fr ?, i've 45 XMR rewared according to the pool, but only 16 are on my wallet

scam ?

I don't know if it's a scam or not but it seems that at least some people ,myself included, have the same issue. The owner though blames the gui wallet instead of admitting something's wrong with his pool.
They aren't paying... nobody is receiving funds.  Admin stopped responding to my e-mails a few hours ago too.

I'm owed 2.42 XMR so far... changing to another pool until this is resolved.

I suggest anyone mining at monero.crypto-pool.fr move their hashing power right away!

--

@ OP: please remove crypto-pool.fr until they acknowledge this and pay their users...
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 06:52:46 PM
Caution advised: No payouts from http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/ in the last 14hr+.

The pool shows my Total Paid at over 2XMR, but nothing has been received.  My wallet is synced and operating fine and I've never had issues with payouts from other pools before.  I contacted the pool admin, and he doesn't seem to know what's going on (claiming payouts are fine when they are not, and asking me if I am out of sync).

It's certainly not a problem on my end, because others confirm not receiving payment (at least 2 other miners in IRC).

I would suggest being careful on crypto-pool.fr until the pool admin provides an update.

Hello all , i am totally new to this coin and after a lot of reading i new have two wallets , the simplewallet and the crptonotewallet ( i am a noob i guess) , i buyed some coins on bittrex and try to send some little amounts , new i now it was to little because i send 0,1 ,minus de trans.fee they sent less then the 0.1 that is neccesary so new i try to sent 0.5 to my cryptonotewallet but it also did not arrive , is it possible that it takes some time before the coins came in my wallet?

please some help , tanx anyway
It might take a little while before the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.  How long ago did you request the withdrawals?
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2014, 05:17:13 PM
SimpleWallet refresh SOOOO DAMMNNN SLLOOOOW =/

<3 Monero.  This coin has endless potential, but the software definitely has a ways to go.  Oh well, gives a few more months to collect XMR before the crowds start flocking when there is a pretty/integrated/fast GUI wallet.

But those don't apply to darksend.
DarkSend is a variant of CoinJoin, using a new scheme of centralized mixing nodes.  It does apply.

Because the system is trustless by design.
"Trustless"... "Closed-Source"... I must be missing something (or wait... that's you.)
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 14, 2014, 12:41:34 AM
Also heard that the darksend feature transactions have been successfully traced, I can find the link somewhere easily. Late July is too long of a time frame in the crypto world. Thousands of new features will be implemented by then and this will be old hat.

Please share the link if you are claiming this
https://darkcointalk.org/threads/deanonymization-of-coinjoin-article.1183/

http://www.coindesk.com/blockchains-sharedcoin-users-can-identified-says-security-expert/

Lots of info around about this, but that should get you started.  DarkSend-style mixing isn't anonymous unless you use it very careful (which is exactly like bitcoin).
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN Windows CPU Miner on: June 14, 2014, 12:34:53 AM
Pretty significant speedup on an i7 2600.  From 170H/s to 260H/s+.  Worth the 5% dev fee for the moment.

I really wish we would see some Linux releases from Claymore, tho.  Majority of my machines are all gentoo.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL][Scrypt][Scrypt-N] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: June 14, 2014, 12:16:44 AM
I think for the summer you should do an X11/X13 auto switching pool, because about the same power, low heat, low electric, and easy to switch.
Then for the winter do the Scrypt/Scrypt-N/Keccak auto switching pool which all run more electric bill and more heat (but don't care in winter)
Cost of electricity and concern over heat vary between mining operations.  Some people won't care about power or heat (free or cheap power, and large areas or good cooling), and some people will care a lot about power/heat (high power cost, or multiple rigs in condos/apartments).
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner on: June 13, 2014, 09:03:07 PM
The exact name is display driver uninstaller. DDU.

Yeah, that's the one I used. No difference Sad sad times.

*shrug*

What I would do is google up how to remove that regkey then. gl.
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT is an environment variable, not a registry key...

480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL][Scrypt][Scrypt-N] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: June 13, 2014, 08:19:56 PM
don't you think it is time to move to gpuwafflepool with registration and individual preference settings for upcoming smart algo-switching?
and to keep wafflepool scrypt-asic friendly without registration.
No need for user registration.  Better to have people sign a generated message from their BTC address, I think.  (e.g. how sites like SimpleVert take Merge-Mined addresses http://www.simplevert.com/set_merge/VkbHY8ua2TjxdL7gY2uMfCz3TxMzMPgmRR/MON or allow fees to be increased http://www.simplevert.com/set_donation/VkbHY8ua2TjxdL7gY2uMfCz3TxMzMPgmRR).

Hold-back (no auto-trade) coins could be implemented along with user-weighted algorithm preferences via this method, and still no user-signup for those that want easy quick-start mining.
