461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: June 02, 2017, 10:50:37 AM
That is all about trading, if you are willing to invest some money for that purpose, and learn trading, you need to accept the fact that you will put your money in big risk, and also the whole activity will put you in a many stressful situations.
That is why I dont really advise anyone to make a living from trading, because it is extremely hard and even when you have all education, skills and experience needed for that ( which can take years to even make yourself profitable on a long-term) you will still need a good amount of funds to be covered in scenarios where something will go wrong.

There are some people who compare trading to gambling, and they say the truth sometimes, because it may be considered as gambling, if you dont know what are you doing.
First, get a knowledge and then start thinking about investing anything. Demo account does not cost you anything Smiley
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin up altcoin dump on: June 02, 2017, 10:13:30 AM
When the btc price goes up, what is now a good time to buy altcoin or sell bitcoin? Huh
That actually depends on your style of investing, because if you prefer to just book your profits from bitcoin then selling a big part of the funds stocked in BTC is a good idea.
However, considering that some altcoins are extremely cheap right now thanks to such a big price surge, you may just use this occasion to get even greater profits than just from selling Satoshi Nakamoto coin: but that is actually really risky: you need to remember that altcoin price is being influenced also by BTC price and after all, the volume is smaller so  the movements on the price are even bigger than on bitcoin, if you just look at the daily changes given in %.

If you have some free btc that you are not going to use, then buy a little bit of other alts, some of them are really cheap so consider it as a good occasion to get some small returns.
463  Economy / Speculation / Re: the biggest Forex broker in the world is adding bitcoin, and it is in Japan on: May 31, 2017, 10:04:05 AM
Now i'm not saying that this is bad news at all, no i think that this is good news. However I think we are focusing too much on forex brokers, governments legalizing bitcoin, etc. This is important but it's not as important as real people using bitcoin as a currency, in daily life, buying stuff that they want, earning an income online and getting paid no matter where they are with bitcoins.

Speculation in my opinion is nowhere as important as actual adoption and usage of btc.

But still, congratz on japan for legalizing btc and companies are sure taking advantages of this.
464  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: May 27, 2017, 05:37:14 AM
What are you doing re the high fees / long confirmation times now?  Can we pay a little extra for quick confirmation?

When you deposit - you set the miner's fee (obviously). When you withdraw - you get private keys - you set any miner's fee you want. In case if you want to use automatic sweep (ie. you don't know how to use private key), fee is also automatic.

is it possible to mix amounts like .10001btc or only amounts divisible by .001btc?
Only amounts divisible by 0.001 BTC (the smallest chip size).

If I ever need to mix my coins, Chip mixer will be my mixer of choice, of course.
Thank you!

I know that you guys have a lot of satisfied testers etc. when the alpha test was out and about but at the same time i'm wondering how are you guys going to profit from this? Mainly from the betting on the site or what? Because obviously the fee you guys charge is completely voluntary(0.004 BTC i believe?) and a lot of people aren't going to be bothered to pay that voluntary contribution.

You guys are running a sig campaign as well which will be at least 0.5 btc per week. Interested to know whether you are planning on setting a mandatory charge per transaction whether percentage or fixed or something else in the future. But otherwise keep up the good work because i'm enjoying the site.
Since we are reinventing the mixing service, we are trying a little experiment here. Flat fees works for some mixers. Giving users some freedom to set fee works for others. Why not to try total freedom if it gives even more privacy?

But this is not a charity, so if donation experiment fails, we will switch into something else.

I like you guys already Smiley You seem like a group of very intelligent and innovative people trying to legitimately do something to change the scape of the bitcoin mixing business but i have to say that donations definitely won't cover you up with all the server costs, promotion costs whether it is sig campaign, advertising on this forum directly or ads on sites.

Hopefully you are right about donations being a good idea but in my experience and many social experiments show otherwise.

Also, just another thing - the 45% betting thing on your site, is it provably fair?

466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 11, 2017, 03:51:00 PM
Why so many people think that 0.85$ is such a ridiculous fee?
After all, you need to remember that when you use banking system, maybe you dont really have to pay big commision ( usually, it is so low that you cannot even spot it ) but the transfer is going to be made during the regular work day, not in time of the weekend.
Blockchain works pretty much 24/7 thanks to decentralization, and also because there are thousands of miners who are willing to confirm the transaction: for their own profit.

And this is why I think you cannot tell that this kind of fee is so expensive, after all someone has to get some income from confirming those transactions, where mining is currently something really hard to make yourself profitable on.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Bitcoins on: May 11, 2017, 12:30:09 PM
You earn bitcoin by some assignments online.
But the most easiest i think is by campaign signature.
Or one can even earn bitcoin with bitcoin faucets.

That is not true, can you tell me why do you think that signature campaining is the easiest way to earn?
I have found out that many people claim the same thing, but it is not like that. I have always thought that signature campainings are usually not fair because new people pretty much spam the forum for some profits, there are even some campainings where  you can join with newbie account!

The requirement that should be most important is that you need to do constructive, quality posts to get payed but let's be serious: campaining managers are not checking every single post if it is topic-related etc. Without decent knowledge it should not be possible to make money on that, because some participants here are just giving useless answers and they are getting payed for that!
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 11, 2017, 11:17:28 AM
Bitcoin for me is currency that can be use from internet i all started to earn satoshi or bitcoin from faucet i don't know what is the future and what can do of bitcoin and i learn from it we can use it from trading and we can use it from investment or do gambling.
Well, to be honest im kind of amazed that you have hero member with such a typing skills lol.
Maybe you were just in a hurry, and you wanted to make this post quick, but I actually doubt that, looks like your are just looking to get the payout from signature campaining as fast as possible, and to get the money without really big effort in earning them. Im kind of dissapointed, because hero member should have given a bunch of really useful insights and tips, but looks like you have made a post that is pretty much the same as the ones made by newbies.

Bitcoin is much more than just a currency you can use in the internet, you probably forgot that you can also use fiat in internet, through bank system right?
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only.... on: May 11, 2017, 11:03:23 AM
Just wanted to share my experience of bitcoin with the recent price rises.

I bought £15000 worth of bitcoin at 3 different stages back in November 2013 when the price went sky high from the tens, to the hundreds then up over $1000.  Think I bought at $300, $600 and $1000 or something, can't exactly remember.

Anyway the price plummeted as we know but I held on for the long term.  But then I lost my job, had a holiday in the US planned and held out for months until I had no choice but to sell. I sold all 27 bitcoins for £7000 meaning I lost £8000 overall.

I didn't want to sell as I would have rather kept them with a chance of either making money one day or losing it all, rather than sell immediately and lose £7000.  Price continued to drop below $300 so in some way I was happy i didn't lose more but when it stabilized at $250 and stayed there for what seemed like ages I knew it had a future and would go up again one day.  But I couldn't bring myself to throw more money at it.

Anyway today my 27 bitcoins would have been worth £37000 and a nice £22000 profit.  Oh well.  Undecided

Well, I dont have anything to say that would pretty much get you out of this, because you have made the decision already: nothing can bring back your bitcoin or the profits you could make, this is past.
But in my opinion you should not really be sad about this: you have missed a great chance but thanks to this, you may pick out correct conclusions that can make you more successful in investing overall, not necessary only in cryptocurrency investing.

My advice? Stay focused, and dont quit using bitcoin. Buy a small amount of it that you can afford every week, and stack the crypto as hard as you can. In few years, maybe you will be lucky again Smiley
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: May 09, 2017, 02:13:37 PM
The best thing for me that bitcoin gives not only to me, but for anyone interested about, a great chance to get some gains from just holding it. You dont have to do anything with BTC to make profits, as we can see.
It has went up to 1600$ so if someone has bought it even at 1000$ price level, that is still a great income made on it.
Also, you can just invest it somewhere to make the profit also from using those funds.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: where should i invest my 0.5 btc ? on: May 09, 2017, 12:34:16 PM
You can choose many options to invest your bitcoins in some decent company with a good team standing behind it, or just in some altcoin that is known wide enough to see a good market capitalization on it.

I also like to choose different ways to earn, for example you may look for jobs that you are able to do on freelancer websites. Im sure that a good coder will have a great opportunity to earn, also there are other things for which you can get payed.
For example, i can advise to look for trusted cryptocurrency casinos where you can invest in their total bankroll, to make the profit out of the people losing money on such websites.
472  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you have an idea to invest your bitcoin in offline business? on: May 08, 2017, 08:47:02 PM
I always have thought that all people using cryptocurrencies should have some second option to make some investments on their own, that are not related to bitcoin or any other crypto.
It is because that if something will go wrong, you will be always secured: after all, you lost some money on few investments, but overall you are on profit: so why not spend those funds on more investments, but more certain and predictable, even such as gold or safe stocks

Having some kind of a business is really great too, you can just be safe thanks to the constant flow of the money: if it prospers correctly.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: May 04, 2017, 09:33:17 PM
Tell me a secret.
You have started it with a wrong way, nobody will tell you a secret that can make you earn pretty much 160$ weekly, without any effort.
You need to make up such an idea by your own, or at least follow the paths of the other people that did it before. You can start in many different places and you can use all kinds of tricks to multiply your bitcoins, but you need to find the ultimate way by yourself.

Signature campaining is a good start if you already know something about cryptocurrencies, but if you are more into coding and programming, then I would suggest you browsing "services" section, or just looking for freelancer job that is about coding. It is a good way to earn btc, they pretty much pay a lot.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 04, 2017, 08:58:00 PM
Bitcoin might be a great source of income literaly for everyone. There are actually no really big requirements to do this, all you need is to have basic knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies overall: and how they work.
If you are already educated in that sphere, im sure that you wont encounter any problems with finding out how to earn BTC.
You may do many different things, not necessary investing. It might be a freelancer job, coding or making some special projects.
It is only up to you what will you choose, and what are your skills.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: May 02, 2017, 09:04:53 PM
In my opinion, bitcoin future might be really bright for all those people that have joined this great community long time ago.
Also, im sure that it will be a nice opportunity for the remaining group of people, that are currently a newbies about cryptocurrencies.
It is because the price of bitcoin is still reasonable, indeed it is high if we consider the bitcoin price history, but imagine what may happen in next 5 years, if we had a rise from 1200$ to 1400$ in only several days.

I hope that BTC will reach the really big price, and the demand will constantly increase. In such a scenario, there are no limits for the value of BTC.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 02, 2017, 08:28:09 PM
I was really amazed last time, that the bitcoin price has risen up to 1300-1330$ dollars in just a few hours, when nobody was expecting such a scenario.
To be honest, I thought we will have some kind of correction in a short time, or at least a small move to the downside, but nothing like that has happened!
Next day about this increase, the bitcoin price went up even to 1420$. There might be many reasons why that happened, but personally I think that the Japan had the biggest influence on this price last time.
They are probably exchanging a lot of their money for BTC, so the demand is getting higher-same as the price.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: May 02, 2017, 08:04:22 PM
For me, bitcoin is not money. It performs the functions of gold, payment of the system and cash. Bitcoin is something in common with what I called.
What do  you mean by saying that the bitcoin performs the functions of gold?
For me and Im sure that also for big amount of people, gold is a thing that may be very useful in the event of ongoing crisis, or some kind of a territorial conflict.
In some cases, that is a crucial factor for some people when it comes to choosing the asset. You cannot really hope that bitcoin will be useful if there will be a war in your country, because nobody will really accept BTC payment in a big danger.
When gold is always something that many people are willing to pay you a lot for it, there is no problem in converting it into food or needed resources.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much maximum BTC can be sent in a single transaction? on: May 02, 2017, 03:59:01 PM
Well, that is another great advantage that we have in bitcoin, because there is totally no limit. You can send as many bitcoins as you want, but let's be honest: in nowaydays, such a big transactions, for example those above 10,000 bitcoin do not really occur usually.
Back some days ago, in 2010 for example, you could have payed for something with that amount of btc, most likely the item that was not expensive in the past.

We do not really see such a big cash flow made in one transaction, usually it is divided among more transfers to hide the place where are they going to be stored.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: May 01, 2017, 09:30:55 PM
I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?

If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?

The very own title of the thread is mistaken, it ask about the differences between bitcoin and real money and not the differences between bitcoin and fiat, so it seems to imply bitcoin is not real money and even if you cannot touch bitcoin with your own hands bitcoin is very real.

Yes and if you can buy anything by exchanging bitcoin then its a real money as we don't have an option to spend them directly but we can always spend them by converting to fiat so there is not much difference in both of them.
That is totally true, and I have to agree with your opinion. We can treat bitcoin as a regular money, but it is just designed in a different fashion.
You dont earn it by doing a regular work in life, but only through internet as a freelancer, or even by posting on this forum.
Obviously, you have a an option to just invest your money converted into bitcoins, to make some return out of it.
So i think that there is no more differences between BTC and fiat, but it is still more useful than regular currency.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: April 30, 2017, 09:07:24 PM
I cannot understand why OP and some people here are assuming that there is only one, real reason why you should hold both gold and bitcoins.
I think that there are many different ones, and the answers are only dependant on the people you ask this question.
It is because that bitcoin may be used for hundreds of purposes, you may go at long-term on it to have some opportunity in saving and multiplying the funds at the same time, or you can buy a lot of gold: to be safe if there will be some kind of a war, or international conflict.

Both of these assets are very good, I think that gold is recommended for securing yourself in danger, and bitcoin can make your future more bright.
