I sincerely hope it's not just you and Atlas xD

Kind of funny, but kind of not, I wonder how many people would not use a venue based on one attendee.

Honestly, I feel there would be a good amount of people who would not support a convention based on something like, let's say Bruce attending.

twitter.com/tradehill

All you guys at TH should have your mobile phones hooked up to the main Tradehill Twitter just in case things like this happen where a simple 140 character blast telling people to remain calm could avoid FUD
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Witch Bitcoin Symbol? EVERYONE VOTE AND USE!!! on: October 20, 2011, 02:25:50 PM
I still feel it could be argued strongly that there will be more people actively using the symbol to represent Bitcoin than the Thai money.

Also from /r/Bitcoin

In fact, the dollar sign and symbols very similar to it have been used for dozens of different purposes:

Basically, it is not big deal, except to the people who are making it out to be a big deal in 'what if' land

I am sure the miners have the math better down than me, but is currently it costing less to just buy a Bitcoin directly than mine for it?   I guess electricity cost is the only factor depending on the miner.

Holy shit, how does this not have more attention.  Just seen this on /r/Bitcoin, amazing.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / DDOS Resistant Bitcoin Mining in the Future on: October 20, 2011, 02:16:12 AM
.. I spent insane amount of time and energy in inventing and running my pool and I don't want to simply disappear, because I really believe in long-term Bitcoin success (small note: people, don't get scared with current panic on market, it's just an oposite of July's insane price peak). I "invented" (maybe it's better to say "realized") first really usable and widely used Bitcoin pool ever and now I feel again that I'm on the track of another innovation of Bitcoin mining, which will be DDoS resistant yet easy to use and with steady payouts like normal share based pools.

Bitcoin Porn Litecoin v3.0 featuring Kano Silver.  I would release the psd but I am not satisfied with how I finished that down, cheated to make it a clear circle.

They are not an exchange, they are like a flattr type service. Some of the guys are on the forum.  I have used them in my signature for quite a while.   Posts from Jan https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2877.0

Yeah that one BitcoinPorn did is sexy as hell.    Having a transparent coin makes it work for all occasions.

If Kano can give me the silver coin he had without the lettering I could make a big image file people can mess with.  I just took his coin, cloned, blurred, and made the coin silver.   If that is the winning design, it's half his too then.  But yeah, maybe have a deadline so more people can enter.  I'll try to stop whoring up this thread, I just like seeing shit behind the clear coin now lol.    If things were a vote, I would actually put mine maybe toward the Pepsi logo silver pbj sammich used on the second design, I tried to put the '7' on top of that one but I don't think I made it clear enough.

The chameleon coin strikes  Cheesy

I need to patent this clear coin technology, I like how some of these turn out looking depending on whatever background used
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article on why bitcoins need to succeed on: October 19, 2011, 07:41:00 PM
Wow, Paypal is stupid.  I need to read the article now, but based on headline alone, this just screams to Diaspora users to get on an alternate currency system.  Which I figured most would be on top of anyways.

Read what Plato wrote recently - http://codepad.org/k0gRMK5W

I posted that here on the forums and no one replied Sad   But the thread had a shitload of views so I hope enough people found something interesting with what he wrote.
