461  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10million in 2023 possible? on: August 22, 2018, 09:10:20 PM
well do the math by yourself. What is the total supply of bitcoin? lets just calculate circulating supply and multiply by $10 million. Hope you will have your answer. And anyhow if you can manage 10 BTC , you will have 100 million dollars !!! It is just simple prediction only, not financial advice. But BTC will be more expensive and whole crypto will be well regulated. Fake ICO and scammers will be kick out and real investors will enter into crypto market, it is my future thinking regarding crypto

No, do the actual math. If at the first halving the price was 12.... And at the second halving 657... The increase was 54x... So using a linear model the price at the third halving would be 35,000

But isn't it more reasonable to expect this to be exponential? In this case exponential decay?

That prediction is bullshit.
Sometime I wonder those frustrated holders who haven't been lucky enough to sell and earned their profit, spread wrong predictions and it really hampered people's desires to stay longer in cryptocurrency. Those bunch of crap minded people sprouted such shit ideas affecting innocent traders who happens to be panicked, and now the entire community suffers from massive fall of bitcoin price. This isn't good in a business , so this time we should be more clever and stop acting like a dependent child. The possible price is the potential value to be reached, because digital currency is infinite.
462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of cryptos increase in future? on: August 22, 2018, 08:50:44 PM
I think everyone in this forum is looking forward to btc's technological advance, which currently going on is the lightning network.
The price of cryptos including btc is now falling gradually and radically, and now is almost half price of it was in few months ago. (recently mostly according on g20 conference.)

Do you think it might be possible for cryptos to find their own price back if a huge technological advance is found/developed on them? But what if the regulation on cryptos get harsh?
I do know for sure that the concept of blockchain will not just vanish and everyone is hoping to bring/apply it in real-life, but the it seems quite true that at least in currency issue, a cooperate from central governments must be needed.

No, I do not think that the recovery of the market depends solely and exclusively on the emergence of a new technological advance that provides them with an additional value that makes them more interesting. In reality, the markets are capricious and move more based on emotional and psychological aspects than on real facts and technical aspects.

And this has proved to be especially true in a market as peculiar as that of cryptocurrencies, so we must get to the idea that the market has already assumed the true value, usefulness and potential of cryptocurrencies, so we should not wait that a new speculative bubble leads to cryptocurrencies at the prices observed at the end of last year.

The speculative bubble is dependent on how people view it as profitable, and one thing that I was sadly looking for was how could my holding recover back again it's price. Although there's a regrets from my end of not choosing the right decisions of not selling while the chance was there. Hopefully there's a surprise one day that will change the scenario of my life, that I will be able to see again the reality of my holdings to spike again its value. Right now it's so difficult to see the value on each and every crypto to be at worst fluctuations, and the corrections was too much, yet it need to surge back higher again much better than before.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 22, 2018, 08:31:30 PM
In other words, they want to buy your assets at very cheap prices and they will give a large pump through the media with the good news until prices rise and sell everything they buy from you. So, keep hold your assets and be assured that prices will definitely increase again.
well, but seeing the price that is dumped, will get people to think about the steps they will take. buying bitcoin is not that easy, so many things need to be considered. if they want to make us panic, I think they have succeeded. well, but I still believe the price of bitcoin will be high

Bitcoin price will rise again and those group of people who wanted to take down this digital currency, wouldn't be successful. Maybe some traders and holders got panicked, but it doesn't mean it stopped us from making our dreams come true. The demand will still be rising in the next few days, so just be calm and never panic because their fake news could lead us to their trap and it will loss everything in us.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not respond to FUD threads! on: August 21, 2018, 11:26:35 PM
FUD posts have been here since the introduction of the community but honestly, people have become more mature now to fall for them. Even though I have seen a lot of people falling for these unknowingly but those should take this experience as a lesson since they couldn't take their own responsibilities. Hopefully, they will start ignoring such threads from the future.
They are mostly sh*tposters responding to every topic they see Cheesy
Nah. I like seeing people roasting those who post nonsense FUD. They're not going anywhere soon anyway. Shitposters will always shitpost.
Like many of them are here, I don't know where they come from but as soon as a topic is opened you'd see pages of sh*tposts Cheesy
This is a very good advice. Even Bitcoin haters are on this forum trying to discourage people from doing crypto.
Ignore bitcoin haters, They gotta hate bitcoin anyways.

This couldn't help us withstand our goals in bitcoin, and staying away can be a good strategy to overcome your worries. It do happen you're started to get panicked when a situation became so shady against between you and those fake news and fud will affect you a lot. So you need to be more careful in order to avoid possible depressions.
465  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io - Now accepting Ethereum!⚽🏆Our EPL free bet promo continues! 🎉 on: August 21, 2018, 11:00:53 PM
Anyone having problem to login in sportsbet? I'm sure about my password and 2fa but always failed to login. After 3 times trying then I received a warning "too many sign in attempts". Trying to use forgot password feature but I do not receive any emails after around 15minutes. Maybe I need to wait few hours to reveice the forgot password email.
Would you mind to help me to check it please?

That would be a recommended ways to recover back your password when there's a problem on log in issues. The site admins will attend every users concerns and they're liable for every person who will access their system. In random cases of serious scenario, we need to be more patience if this situations may occur, because we can't prevent any maintenance issues specially those tough times. To give a sort of advice, list down privately all the password you have and always keep it confidential so that you won't be able to forget your password again.
466  Economy / Speculation / Re: longforecast.com 2017 vs 2018 on: August 21, 2018, 10:40:29 PM
This noone was expecting $20k, not even $10k, hell not even $5k.

to be fair, there was no reason or basis to make time-based predictions like that until the market went parabolic in july/august 2017. looking at their estimates, i doubt their model could accurately account for "bubble periods" anyway.

And now we are looking at $50k predictions. This shows how quick market sentiment can change in Bitcoin. If you aren't holding any you can miss out very quickly.

that goes both ways. very few expected a bubble, but very few expected the top either. those sky-high predictions often come long after the top is in. and the losses for the bagholders add up quickly. Smiley

Some expectations have good outcomes, but most of them wasn't good enough when it comes to market fluctuations. More holders had to lose bigger amounts of btc before they could hit up their target, and the very difficult part of failed expectations was the price declined so fast than expected one. Nowadays we should be tough on our decisions and those pumping price cannot be trusted either, because it quickly crashes someday.
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you stay in crypto if BTC does not recover? on: August 21, 2018, 10:18:47 PM
Those who learn what bitcoin is and begins to understand what bitcoin is, and might become, will never leave.

Those who spend their time on shitcoins and ico scams and eventually get rekt will most likely leave. (And come back the next bull market.)

Apparently most of the clever investors in trading did that kind of strategies, and despite of the falling market they're still thinking about bull market. Actually we didn't have an enough factors to make the market to be bullish for now and eventhough we're expecting it through speculations here, it doesn't guarantee to happen. We should stay calm and never lose our grip with btc and crypto, because the future depends with them.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: August 21, 2018, 09:59:43 PM
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

it's up to you to want bitcoin as you want. everyone has different perceptions and different goals, in this industry bitcoin is more likely to be a trading center for all crypto and investment.

Indeed, bitcoin has a great perceptions from people who really believes on how it can provide sustainable profit to everybody. With regards to trading it has an awesome ways to handle your funds in the same manner which fiat and digital currency will be appreciated. Digital gold is our hope for financial stability specially when it comes to long term trading.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online gambling games fixed? on: August 21, 2018, 09:39:49 PM
If games were reach then why the sites allows the high rolls to win,I saw there were lot of big rewards also win in the gambling sites.
There are big wins and there are big losses as well. If we watch only one side we would have a biased opinion. Both profit and loss happen and thus if a person is thinking of gambling they should consider the fact that even if the games are provably fair, the chance of win or loss is 50-50. Hence they should not gamble with their saving money or their monthly salary. If they do then its their decision to play. The casinos never force anyone to play.

On paper, trustworthy casinos cannot afford to cheat with games. There are heavy audits on the random generator system. However, I prefer live casino even online opposed to those "fruit machines".
On online as well they are trustworthy. You just need to make sure the games are provably fair. Thats all.

As for me online gambling varies on their capabilities depending on how the game earns profitable winning. However players always trusted the game host as well as the team players came along the gameplay situation. Thinking about fair games, it doesn't have the assurance at all times because the game online has its own plans and strategies to follow.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin price increase has three factors. on: August 20, 2018, 10:45:11 PM
I like when the newbies pretend they know how the crypto market works and they try to explain it to the more experienced forum members. Grin
Let them be because at the very least we can know how they think the market works and if there is something wrong with their idea, experienced forum members can correct them.
Here is my two factors, HYPE and FUD.  Roll Eyes
You are right but I think both factors that you have mentioned belongs only into one category of the factors for bitcoin price movements, demand. The other factor is the limited supply bitcoin got.

Indeed, bitcoin has a lots of factor to consider specially when it comes to demand and supply. When more demands the market will partly be lower in supply, so there's a shortage or limit. Fake news and fud will hinder price development of bitcoin to increase, and it's good to hear that people learned from their mistakes for they believed such negative perceptions against bitcoin. Most importantly, we should be strong enough to handle situations that may affect our decisions.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner's Luck on: August 20, 2018, 10:12:58 PM
Then when I encountered those people some weeks later they confessed to me they lost a lot of money and they could not stop playing because they had lost so much they had the hope that if they kept playing they will recover their money, so I think a combination of beginners luck, greed, lack of knowledge, the feeling of being so invested in the games and an addictive personalty is what causes people to get addicted to gambling.
Not necessarily true. At the beginning of any game, the house has an advantage. However, at certain points in some games, players who understand the game have a statistical advantage. Loosing too much because that is a greediness, always chasing their lose hoping that it may come back but instead they did not notice having a big loss and maybe an addiction.

Beginners luck will still happen, there are some people maybe was born that having a good luck when they are playing in gambling, I remembered I firstly had an idea on this gambling I tried once but I am losing my fund, then I repeat what I have done it lose again.

If we wanted to win, playing for more times will be a probability to win with the gambling game. When your luck comes in, then it will be for you to happen but if not you'll be losing more times without having any chances to win. Even how good are you with gambling, you can't control the scenario of losing in the game and that actually will happen for all gamblers.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest lost you have made as gambler? on: August 20, 2018, 02:12:42 AM
One of my friends has just lost $10,000 in football gambling and I have been trying to encourage him.  I will like to find out how much you have lose in gambling and how did you manage the loses. I know many has makes some profits from gambling and some has lost significant amounts of money as this market is a very risky one.

Previously, some of my lost wasn't that bad due to I got more wins rather than losses. Bitcoin amount of 0.007 btc was just small compared to what I had lost at around 0.015 btc, that's why it doesn't affect me emotionally. I learned how to handle my gambling plays at a certain limits which some gamblers couldn't do, because there's an emotional attachment on it.
473  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't live to see the next 10 years on: August 19, 2018, 10:48:37 PM
Voted 'yes'. I presume Bitcoin will still be around in 10 years but probably won't be the leading coin in the world of cryptocurrencies anymore. It is getting outdated as you sort of mention in the OP and other, better performing altcoins are already emerging rapidly. BTC dominance in the total market capitalization is 49% nowadays, a huge drop compared to the 80 - 90% we've seen up until march this year.

We only know that prediction never exists which's accurate.
Of course bitcoin will be obsolete, but obsolete due to age.
With the end of bitcoin, the effect will affect other currencies, namely Altcoin.
Altcoin's predicted to be obsolete too accompanying its obsolescence the bitcoin currency.
As we know, so far bitcoin has been the only pioneer or shield of all cryptocurrency defense which's spread in the market. What happens if bitcoin is obsolete?.....

Bitcoin will stay stronger and will dominate the entire cryptocurrency, and we need not to worry about what the future 10 years will bring forth. For my positive visions it will be infintely gathering more followers, and there will be no limits for it's capabilities. Bitcoin demand will continue to provide every people the opportunity to have their freedom for financial needs. The entire community depends with it, so always trust on bitcoin and keep a strong faith.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 18, 2018, 07:08:33 AM
Yes that's very interesting but like what others said it seem to be not quite interesting to talk about them.

I used the term "for now". Smiley It's an interesting topic it's just that talking it today will just be lead into full of speculations with no strong basis since we have to wait for a year before we can see some progress about it. So for now, let's see how Leonard will behave in Toronto Raptors first.

Even with his mind not set when he was traded on Raptors they must see a good and healthy Kawhi. He cannot just play around without a championship goal. Any team he went through he must have that kind of mind set.

Toronto might even give him a better offer than what Lakers could give if he could give them also a championship.

That's what Im looking forward. He will disrespect the Raptors if he wont be the usual Kawhi Leonard. That team sacrifice their loyal player so in return Leonard at least show some balls that he is really serious in playing and not just he able to achieved his desire of being getting out at the shadow of San Antonio Spurs.
If he wanted to gain more respect from this league he needed to play at his best whatever teams he may go, we knew Kawhi he's been one of the top caliber player that this league have, Raptors deserve his leadership hopefully he will play the same attitude when he's still with coach Popovich.
The team has got good standings in their historical plays as well, that's why all gameplays they had gathered successful legacy. With regards to raptors, I guess their leadership has brought them to the journey that has been doing great job as well. Descipline was the best asset they had and that makes them successful all the time.

476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: August 17, 2018, 04:58:03 AM
It is hard to imagine how one can be shy in an online casino, and yet this happens, especially when you play against real people, like in a poker tournament, for example. The thing is that if you gamble long enough, your nickname becomes known to the audience as well as some of their names are known to you. So, when you sit at a poker table, you don't feel anonymous completely, maybe only partially to some new players, but others surely know you, and you know them, you say "hi" to each other, "nice hand", "good game" and all that stuff. ... Of course there are different mindsets. Some people can be shy with people they know while others feel shy with strangers, so that depends on the person in general.

I think a lot of people get intimidated playing against other humans.  They feel safer gambling with slot machines or dice because they are going against computers.  Facing off vs humans can be filled with very intense emotions which are hard to shake.

But isn't that much more fun when you play against real people? I mean, I don't even think about going to a land based casino, where you can play with real real people because probably I'm too shy for that, but in online gambling you can find games which are in the nature of a compromise between a land based casino games and games where you play entirely against a machine. I even think that for excessively asocial individuals playing with live dealers and with real people, with whom you can talk in chat during a game, might be a good step toward their socialization.

Real people cannot be trusted at all times, there were situations that they betray us through cheating the gambling games. Land based casino was preprogrammed and has monitoring cctv, at first they'll attract you with rewards and lucky bets. But in the next successive days to come your bets won't work out, because you've already spotted out and recorded to the monitor of the casino's establishment. Unlike with online gambling, you can do your will as you wanted to eventhough you're shyness doesn't matter as long as you're knowledgeable with the games online.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: August 16, 2018, 10:26:55 PM
Sport betting has always been my thing as well since it allows me to at least use my sport analytical skills for good use and even make me enjoy watching any of the sport I bet on with passion, which in this case is usually soccer most of the time or an event. In this case, you can still make some analysis, bet some little amount you can afford to lose, and still easily stand a chance to make a good call eventually but not without some luck attached to it as well.

yes soccer sports betting does not require special skills to be able to take part in betting, even the layman who just jumped into gambling can do it. but what is needed only requires an analysis of the game of the football team that we will choose. Besides soccer betting, dice games are also my choice to feel the pleasure of gambling and try luck from it, although the way that can be done to play dice clearly has a very different way

It will be a suicide if a layman jumped into soccer betting or any other sports betting, Analysis without skills will be very bad IMO, at least someone need to know or at least he need to love to watch soccer if they want to jump in soccer betting. Otherwise, it will be just like a blind betting with random analysis based on news or other review.

Looking and observing the best betting games on the internet you can do it by your freedom. Although we didn't have the skills, the important is you'll be able to play with a good fate. However, the updates may help you feed up with some ideas on how to decide what's the best or not. The fun and potential wins could give you the opportunities, that we ever wanted for our gambling motivations.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin business success on: August 16, 2018, 12:53:18 PM
I've seen some restaurants and business that are accepting bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a method of their payment but I didn't try it because it's not worth it to pay for things and food for your bitcoin because of the high transaction fee.
For me it is just matter of time when more and more comporation and people will try to make their business available for crypto, after that it will be just easier to make people believe in this market.
People doesn't need to have a convincing strategies to make them believe on what principles did you have. This business in crypto was always depending on each respective decisions, that has strong desires which makes our asset grows evenly. The trust can be developed by making our community strong, and it doesn't guarantee to have the assurance if every holders will be greed for money. There should be patience in every aspects of life specially on business matter.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: I DON'T CARE IF BTC DECREASES IN PRICE NOW on: August 16, 2018, 12:24:08 PM
We don't know bitcoin will go where continue to decline or go back up. Perhaps the decline that occurred this time was the last decline, and after that, there will be a resurgence of bitcoin that the price will continue to increase to a significant level.
Depending to new holders that will buy those cheap coins around the market, if they will keep it on hold and patiently waiting for the rise then we will see good movement after some time, but if those new holders are still same with those early panic holders, then we really need to wait for some years in order to see the bounce up and reached another height.

That's merely possible to wait for bitcoin price to hit that profitable value in the next years to come. Panic holders was the number one reasons why this happened that market was behaving fluctuating trends of price. Bouncing price can be a struggle for all of us, so keep calm and don't ever listen to negative thoughts from other frustrated people, because it will drain your perseverance.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency? on: August 16, 2018, 02:52:21 AM
Yes! Why not? Of all things that bitcoin suffered, it does not decline. Though there are many people speculate bitcoin as bubble, it never devaluate nor destroyed. It is worth for me as a currency because above all crypto that exist in the market, bitcoin is the most dominant and simple cryptocurrency.
Agree with you, whatever speculation and opinion someone has with the price and the bitcoin market. but as long as there are users who accept bitcoin payments, then I will try to use bitcoin as a currency and bitcoin is worth it as currency. bitcoin has facilities that most currencies don't have, and many people like that

If that's your point, then bitcoin was strongly a currency because it can do whatever usefulness that the fiat can also do. Users will increase if there's a support from our government, and also people will be learning about digital currency as well. Without enough knowledge, people will be hesitant to adopt bitcoin so as the other cryptocurrency investments. Bitcoin's advantages can be generally appreciated if a person has positive visions towards holding an asset that has greater potential to increase to profitable value in the future.
