bump!
462  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: BITCOIN PUMP! on: February 10, 2024, 06:59:30 AM

463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 09, 2024, 08:03:12 PM
this probably derives from over confidence in the bets you place and from the odds that are specifically designed to push you towards a certain, of course riskier, bet.

Example, would you be more likely to play an event given at @2 or @10?
Obviously you would play the odd at @2!And here it would be more easily playing larger sums... even if there is not any "real" variation in the risk of losing or not...
My suggestion? Keep the same budget for any game play you made. Avoid over confidence, last but not least. Avoid to get tricked by odds.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 09, 2024, 07:58:37 PM
Personal I am somewhat boring most of the times to gambling again. I don't want risk money.
Is it a good solution for a break? yeah sure Smiley

others best way (at least on my view):
have a limit in all bookmakers (this cannot be forced, or at least need one month to be changed).
no wallet accessible (only cold storage), and just some penny available.

Of course high fees for tx are another reason to have a break Wink
465  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB- Chinese Digital Yuan Card on: February 09, 2024, 01:44:50 PM

466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 09, 2024, 09:26:53 AM
I've been tracking my "progress" or my plays in general here on forum since several years.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1234109.0
it's a way to also give "suggestions" to other users, it's a way to check what wins and what doesn't.
many don't do it out of laziness, but it's a serious mistake!!! You must keep track of it, it helps to play better!
467  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What are your top 3 events in bitcoin history? on: February 08, 2024, 11:47:14 AM
3 events?
well it's kind of impossible there are many more "top" events Roll Eyes of course I avoided to get "inspired" by other posts Tongue

[ 0) genesis block this is a MUST at least on my opinion we cannot not list here]
1) first exchange of btc for FIAT (late 2009 here on btc talk - 5000 btc for 5 USD)
2) CBOE of chicago listing the first BTC future (2017)

I have some doubts for the "third event"...
3) btc cash fork? or maybe Satoshi leave the forum? G. Andresen audited by CIA?
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's problem gambling different from compulsive gambling. on: February 08, 2024, 11:27:17 AM
I believe that compulsive gambling is a kind of gambling problem, I wouldn't make too many distinctions, we always talk about the same thing...

Regarding your statement...
yes absolutely, the more you play the more you lose, it's really a mathematical law in these kind of games.
Obviously there is always the "lucky" case of a win, but in the long term, defeat is mathematical.
469  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Notizie spazzatura su bitcoin/blockchain on: February 08, 2024, 10:53:03 AM
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: February 07, 2024, 08:02:49 AM
Proportionately both risk losing their money. Of course "gambling" without money include no earning or just "penny earning" Roll Eyes
Who should risk more? No one! Having "courage" take the "risk" these are all terms that must not be used in gambling since it simply increases the possibility of losing money exponentially.
472  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting without losing your money/no need for deposit on: February 06, 2024, 08:43:45 PM
Hi @OP thanks for share your casino...Some questions... what is the minimum amount for withdraw? what about tx fee?
Last but not least... people can withdraw amount received only with faucet or they are forced somewhat to make a deposit?
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 08:11:47 PM
these are two common mistakes OP and I am pretty agree withyou.
another real serious mistake of gamblers is related the real winning statistics. they are not aware and most of the times I see people trying to achieve "the lucky shot". Well, this event can also be "more or less" traced back to just mathematical calculations.
ah, I forgot another point but this is self-explanatory... the house always wins.
it's a typical mistake to believe you can beat the bookmaker/gambling house Smiley
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 06, 2024, 07:31:59 AM
playing compulsively is NOT the solution.
those few wins deceive you that "you can do it" but meanwhile you continue to lose... only slowly.

@OP
you need to have a betting budget.
you must have a limit on your games (for example only some tournaments, sports etc etc).
start writing down each bet and analyze your way of betting, you will realize how you can maximize profits (or limit the losses) and increase your fun Wink
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 06, 2024, 06:53:27 AM
It's true that the risk is really high.
However, I want to give you a "different" vision @OP.
Betting on 21 events it is practically like to play "twice cumulatively" the maximum jackpot by a classic accumulator (10-13 events).
What does it mean? well, a single jackpot here in Italy would have guaranteed you between 100-200k euros.
A double one practically means 500k euros. I don't think you won such an amount... the risk was the same..but the final amount win it wasn't Sad

thank you Smiley
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binary Trade Better or Better to Buy and Hold Bitcoin? on: February 03, 2024, 01:47:15 PM
I think these are two completely approach to "Bitcoin world".
OP if you like risking your assets or part of it in a "Quick" trade, binay trading can be for you.
It is understood that it is very risky, much more linked to a bet than to a real event... Just a change few second before the closure of event and you have lost.

It becomes useful as a hedging tool. the leverage aspect is also interesting but there is a very strong intrinsic risk that must be taken in account in any of these trades.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About PI Network trend. Is this coin worth holding? on: February 03, 2024, 12:51:00 PM
I don't think people (all people using this Coin/app) would be millionaire.
there are too many bad/strange signals related... leviathan.007's topic fully addresses all the suspicious points.
In general, alt coins are risky but when crucial information is missing it is best to be very careful and avoid to waste money and time.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 03, 2024, 12:43:11 PM
With friends or parents I can share a good bottle of win in case of a big win. Sometimes I have been generous towards the desk workers in physical  bookmakers.
I always leave a tip but politely ask first if thwy accepts it. I don't want to embarrass anyone, it's not a form of beggingto them. I like to call "a caffč for you" but of course the amount is much more
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 03, 2024, 08:22:55 AM
you must always consider the difference between a cold wallet (coins that you cannot move or better with a time lock) and using the same coins for the bankroll investment opportunity.
with small amounts you can do it, it can be a sort of diversification, but in general this type of activity has a lot of risks and I would be very careful before doing anything on that.
