462  Economy / Services / Re: [WINNER] 0.5 BTC for a hologram design | Free brass token for all participants on: January 10, 2017, 06:52:55 AM
dammit man, i would have created a hologram if i would ever get noticed of this.
however zeroxal, which kind of hologram technologies would you wish to apply on the winning holograms? Smiley
463  Economy / Goods / Re: Rare Exotic Supercar for Sale on: January 09, 2017, 12:02:36 PM
no matter how big the deal is, i don't really think there is anyone wanting a car, even if this issue is solved, how could you ship the car out? Huh

Any buyer in the USA can literally rent a covered trailer and pickup truck then take the car wherever they want. If the weather was warmer they could just drive it. I wouldn't recommend driving it in the winter. Very dangerous because the cold weather drastically reduces traction and this thing has over 600 HP.

Shipping is not a problem. I can work with a buyer to have it shipped anywhere in the USA or internationally at an additional cost. Within the USA it would be shipped by a carrier who specializes in transporting exotic cars. Internationally, it would be shipped inside a sealed container, also by a company that is experienced in handling these types of vehicles.
hope their local taxing departments are not blaming anyone who are attempting to evade tax, because our local authroity forces seller to register for whatsoever. beware the local laws so people won't blame your business.
464  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF happening to the price on: January 07, 2017, 01:47:09 PM
why are you that shocked? the ~30% rise less than a week is explicitly volatile, nobody wanted to know the risk a few days ago so the price raises then drops.
btw i smell some support around $900. Smiley
465  Economy / Speculation / Re: This pump is not sustainable. on: January 05, 2017, 02:12:02 AM
Lmao.  This price is nothing.  Wake me up at a 100bn market cap.
and it will not till around a year later, because this kind of pump is possibly incessant, then a major dump until it is stable again. then a bubble is up, for higher.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOW is a good time for a hack! on: January 03, 2017, 09:14:36 AM
even if you wished to hack someone for bitcoins, if you were hacked as the same, your benefits on hacking would be gone, that is not a good idea.  Undecided why don't you get the time on others regarding bitcoin? Huh
467  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 4 blocks in 2 hours on: January 02, 2017, 08:03:27 AM
this is a normal thing, although the block time is 10 minutes between, it is an average, and the actual time is a random thing with regard of that average.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC38 hot wallet got hacked and lost 1.5 million on: January 01, 2017, 02:53:29 AM
i don't think this post is in the "bitcoin duscussion" session but the "press release" instead.
anyway, the reason of wallet being hacked, IMO is because China, if that site is from that region, is regulating their data excessively strict or harsh, most of the unnecessary data gone exposed, or their datacentre link was stolen during the Chinese monitoring. Huh
469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Strategies? (Am a noob that has none - but is looking) on: December 30, 2016, 03:00:49 AM
remind you that bitcoin is so far have little chance in which its price will drop severely. bubbles are probably being stable now, since the base of users.
your startegy is too simple and risky (Huh).
470  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Cheap Laptop or maybe Tablet.. on: December 27, 2016, 02:07:48 AM
i can offer you my (originally)broken Asus  X42F which are fixed well as of now, including an external keyboard as the internal one is out of order. as well, i will give you a formatted 32GB class 10 microSD by Strontium. it is a windows 10. without battery due to legal issues(lithium), type-G powerplug is also included.

all for $200, subject to additional charge of maximum $30 otherwise i will waive.
escrow is a fundamental thing, monbux preferred.

* it is Traditional Chinese, i will help you set it to a certain language if needed.
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: December 27, 2016, 01:58:24 AM
IMO it will surely be stable after $850, if the price raised over 1k once. then the price could be up again.

With $1000 in the not too distant future and the ensuing sell off (I'm sure many consider this a psychological target to sell 20-50% of their bitcoins for profit, if only to re-invest after the drop).

The question is: after $1000, just how far do you think BTC will drop back? Could we see the days of $500 from August again, or are we stable above $800-900?
Not sure if we touch $1k in this up leg, but once the correction starts, I think we should test $700 support. I agree that we could see 20% drop from where we are now, as a reasonable correction target. But we will know more for sure once the correction starts.

let's see how the Chinese do to bitcoin on trading strategies, if this rise made mainly by China. i think $700 is less likely in the cards as the 700+ has been a while.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN PRICE UP THE ROOF on: December 26, 2016, 05:27:37 AM

i guess that 30% of this rise could be a bubble, because i have just seen a drop from ~910 to ~890 right now, though it increased my value of bitcoin (since i am not a trader). Tongue do not buy at over $900 this period.

is that the failure of the politics over the world? can anyone answer it or what?
473  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer (or other) on: December 24, 2016, 11:08:31 PM
i don't guess S7 is that profitable, because you are needing to deal with 2EHash using just a few Thash.
unless you are lucky enough, i don't think those miners are great enough.
474  Other / Meta / Re: Brand new users spamming advertisements of products don't even accept bitcoin on: December 22, 2016, 01:18:30 AM
IMO theymos should restrict creating new accounts over a period, for instance, you may only create 1 account in 5 minutes (this combats the bots).

if it was required to approve all the posts/ threads before they could be posted, it would be a disaster of moderators including ban abuse, biased wars. as well, the censorship drives out the majority.

I definitely do understand what are you trying to impart the thing here is that should you really have to post two similar topics as well? If those topics only refers to spamming than i guess you only should have to discuss it on one certain thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1722225.0
That thread is focused on old topics being bumped, and that needs another set of solution. Limiting the ability of users bumping up old threads cannot stop bots from creating accounts and spam advertisement here. And vice versa.

P.S. If the products they're spamming to sell do accept bitcoin, we'd kindly accept those posts as long as they're posted in appropriate boards, however they don't even have the word 'bitcoin' on the site...
i would wish to know if we could bump some old threads which is now useful, like WTS which are to be live again.
475  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Coinroll ★ Signature Campaign ★ on: December 22, 2016, 01:11:16 AM
Hello,

I'm not sure if I've announced it before, but created entries were quickly found to just be the forum dropping requests and was fixed by increasing delay between requests. But the attempts so far to get entries fixed have gone wrong.

dev has run a fix for balance. Basically for created entries in november, script kept amount of new posts and kept adding to it in further entries fixed (more or less), resulting in some users getting 0.1 BTC or more overpayment.

Note that negative balance include pending withdrawal (cancelling a withdrawal should increase balance), so balance would not go down further if withdrawals were processed.

I've looked at results of fix and there seems to be a few problems. Notably some days should have posts credited that weren't, but it almost looks right. However some user who should not have received a negative balance (because that user was never credited at all or had signature). But dev has time since college exams are over and we'll keep working on a fix tomorrow. Entries look almost fine, we'll make sure a few new posts get added to credits, and we'll run a script to calculate if the total amount of every credit for accounts, minus withdrawals, indeed match their balance.

We have not yet given out bonus payment for delays. Except for a few users who received very large amount from the bad script, it's likely bonus will cover, and then some, any overpay you might already have withdrawn.

I'm sorry for the trouble. I've seen some great projects done by this dev, but dev is still studying and I believe it is the first time this dev ever messed with batch updating database this large or complex with randomly spread errors throughout (with entries depending on other entries and affecting multiple fields to be updated) and that there's a bit of "hard time wrapping brain around it." I suppose it can be a bit hard to plan ahead all the steps needed for things to work out properly at the end and script for it if you're not used to do that. At this point it might have been best to manually correct entries instead.

So this is how first day of work on fixes went. I don't think it should take more than 1 or 2 more days to get it fixed. If the dev can't manage, I'm sure wao can find the time to fix himself, because at this point he just wants to pay users.

Current plan for today is:
- Revert DB to yesterday's backup
- Possibly pay out withdrawals anyway, even if some users are overpaid, depending if wao is available right after dev can revert DB
- Try to get fix to run properly and figure out how much balance users should have, hopefully fixed by end of the day
- Figure out bonus for delays to be paid that will probably be credited in following days, hopefully everything being done in time for users to withdraw for the 25th's payment

Regards,
Namworld
is that the Christmas time your holiday be able to fix the payment? finally.
anyway, i have not been getting any payout from this reward since 2 weeks ago. Huh
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin ransomware report- 11.9% victim pay to recover their files on: December 21, 2016, 08:26:12 AM
if this kind of ransomware fluorish over the china, would bitcoin banned in China or how could Chinese government do to prevent those kind of ransomewares? that is a question.
btw qihu 360 softwares' award were disqualified because of possible cheats on performance on preventing viruses.

478  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Coinroll ★ Signature Campaign ★ on: December 14, 2016, 11:57:01 PM
the payment on Monday is probably not yet given, right? seen my reward was not paid out as possibly promised. Huh
479  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling 2 $ banknotes on: December 13, 2016, 08:15:39 AM
i guess op is selling the serial number. if the serial number is kinda exotic (for instance the digit is 22222222, 12345678), then it could be very valuable, for the collectors they might buy op's note at least $5 for an example.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: December 13, 2016, 12:12:23 AM
Obviously taxes apply in most (all?) countries.
But I wonder if there is any place on Earth that has no taxes associated with bitcoin? Like maybe Dubai?
Anyone know this?

There are a lot of countries that bitcoin is still not yet honored so they don't have choice but to ignore bitcoin even though their citizens are earning good amount with it that's why there are a lot of people who are using bitcoins that are evading taxes because their source is not taxable and that is with bitcoin.
There is no tax only the company or exchange are paying for a tax that is why they are giving a exchange rate not the exact price in in preev price.
In bitcoin we are just paying fee for every transaction but in local exchange like here in my country there is no fee for every transaction this good thing in our wallet.. but i think that company are paying in taxes which is a company that nearly here in my place.. anytime you can go near to them and see the bitcoin atm..  tax only apply if they are asking for a fee for withdrawals..

Exchanges and other Bitcoin related services do pay tax over their entire revenue and profits translated to the fiat equivalent. They can't hide from the IRS. Most exchanges don't charge you anything when you cash out fiat, so from that point there is nothing they have to pay tax over. That's however not the case with certain services that allow you to buy and sell coins. They mostly charge fees ranging from 1 to 5% per transaction. Over that percentage they have to pay tax.
does that mean they could only charge the the fees or taxes in case of exhanging between fiats and cryptos, in a nutshell?

government should reserve bitcoins and altcoins in order to ensure they have sufficient fund to sustain the country instead of simply asking their citizens for the tax. Smiley
