461  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services on: September 30, 2014, 07:51:54 PM
Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)

You can add SEPA and Moneybookers to that list.
And thats just 2 big ones.

469  Economy / Economics / Re: Was Titanic Sunk To Kick Start The Private Federal Reserve Debt Slavery System? on: September 30, 2014, 07:20:41 PM
In an extreme survival situation, I can guarantee you that money won't save your ass. Would you have sold your limited seat for a couple of bucks?
There were open seats on the life boats. A "couple of dollars" would likely be able to make it so two people would not mind having to sit next to someone on a life boat.

Also the ship is not start evacuating for some time, and when it the ship did start to evacuate many people did not start trying to get on a lifeboat until a good amount of time. I would say that someone who could have stopped the federal reserve from being created would know enough about boats that when it clearly runs into something and the boat is being evacuated that it is a good idea to get off the boat quickly.

Sure and for this reason they disregards the procedures by removing the adequate amount of lifeboats.

They also must have saved expenses when hiring the gung-ho captain. Wink

No matter what he says, in 2020 bitcoin will be huge when miners will stop creating new coins
At the speed it recently went, it should take a bit longer.

Update:  Still no funds in my account....The support says, the bank has not received the payment yet.  (I made the payment Thursday evening)

Dear angelamerkel,

As you have previously mentioned - you made a SEPA transfer. SEPA zone transfers usually take 1-3 business days to arrive to our bank account. As you have made a payment Thursday evening, most probably it was processed on Friday - today is the 3rd business day. Please be patient - we hope the payment will arrive today or tomorrow morning.

Regards,
The HitBTC Team

A Sepa transfer takes only one business day. It's not an opinion, but an european law, sir.
Thats correct, one business day by each involved bank. Wink
Anyway Angies transfer should have reached HITs bank account yesterday at the latest, unless they funnel it through an intermediary bank.

I think everybody gets the picture, now can you just advertise your cards elsewhere?
480  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous reloadable by bitcoin VISA debit cards with own IBAN bank account on: September 30, 2014, 01:39:06 AM
And here you can see the shitstorm for lying to their customers about their cards and month long delays:
