1461  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Anonymous reloadable VISA cards with own bank account on: August 27, 2013, 07:21:53 PM
We will switch to new design soon:

Unfortunately there is not enough interest for the new design and its costs to go through.

I will continue to sell the normal design cards in EUR, USD and GBP though.

The question is: how much of the traffic are they able to "read?" Is it 10%? 1%? 0.0001%?
They say:

1464  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BITSTAMP.net Bitcoin exchange site for USD/BTC on: August 26, 2013, 04:36:55 PM
Thats a common misconception. It must cost the same as an inland transfer but only in countries that have adopted the Euro.
Congrats on the pound. Wink
Nonetheless more banks adopt it, because from 2014 on they will be forced to(if the Euro still exists ofc).

Remember the Boeing/Airbus scandal?
And that was Echelon only, i dont even want to think what they are doing nowadays.

You do know how much Gox lost through their stupidity though?
It can take a while until they can plug that hole through insider trading.

And again thats wrong, it depends on how often you sell something if you are a private person.
1468  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Responses by German ministry of finance concerning Bitcoin and VAT (fulltext) on: August 26, 2013, 09:49:58 AM
Its you who is confusing people. Only exchanges and businesses can be regarded as profit generating enterprises.
The average joe doesnt pay a dime as long as he holds them for a year.
1469  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Responses by German ministry of finance concerning Bitcoin and VAT (fulltext) on: August 26, 2013, 07:28:01 AM
Bitcoins are treated like candy: When you sell them, you have to pay 19% VAT on your income from the trade. Easy as that.

Not so easy, after holding them for a year the profit is tax free and i bet thats not the final word in that matter.
1470  Local / Biete / Re: Anonyme wiederaufladbare VISA Kreditkarten mit eigener IBAN on: August 25, 2013, 06:14:27 PM
Ich müsste ~50 Karten verkaufen, um überhaupt auf 0 zu kommen.
1471  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: August 25, 2013, 02:01:11 PM
I have 5 open SEPA transfers. 3 of them about 200€, one 400€ and one of 800€.  I ordered the transfers: 2013/07/30 , 2013/07/30 , 2013/07/31 ,2013/08/12 and 2013/08/14. One order from 2013/07/26 about 200€ I got after 3 weeks.

You do realize that you are slowing down the process for everybody else with withdrawals like that?

1473  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013.08.18 - Germany recognises Bitcoin as currency on: August 25, 2013, 01:20:57 PM
A major aspect of Germany's stance on bitcoin is that there is no capital gains tax at all (0%) on bitcoin specifically - as long as mined coins they're held for one year prior to selling. This is in sharp contrast to almost anywhere else where capital gains tax would apply to any financial instrument by default, including bitcoin, metals, or anything else bought (or "mined") and resold later for profit.

While not too significant in the current mining environment, germany may become very attractive for early bitcoin adopters with large btc holdings.

A large part of what made the US so attractive for investors in the early days of the internet was the pro-innovation/pro-business business regulatory and tax environment at the time. Much has changed since then.

Holding for 1 year, for a capital gains tax haven in not such a bad deal.  Many miners are holding anyway.  And if you are only selling your year old coins, you can still show income after your first year.

The paper doesnt say anything about mining, its about buying and selling BTC.
I can already imagine how you try to explain to a tax collector that you have found this money. Cheesy

I love those sites not overloaded with Flash and JScript.
1475  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: August 25, 2013, 10:16:47 AM
Page 50 of this thread iirc..

I see a report of a USD withdrawal there, but no date given.

Looks like people are reporting June 17th transfer still pending. What is that now, 8 or 9 weeks. A far cry from the 2 weeks which Gox support will claim in their initial response to inquiries about this matter.

While I agree that ongoing withdrawals in other currencies argue against insolvency, this is not the behavior of a responsible business.

I suggest you check your math...June 17th to August 17th would be a full 2 months.

Which is 8 or 9 weeks. Cheesy

1477  Local / Biete / Re: Anonyme wiederaufladbare VISA Kreditkarten mit eigener IBAN on: August 25, 2013, 08:23:28 AM
Bald gibts neues Design:
