Kurs transakcji
4.29
1082  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: October 17, 2013, 06:12:23 PM
Pre-payment sounds like a good solution for the problem but I think this will scary many potential buyers away because some people are purchasing the btc for large orders after they won the order.

We also got some users on Bitmit who are hearing BTC for the first time and simply buy products but cannot pay -> We need to make it more clear on the checkout process that the only available payment method is Bitcoin.

You could kill two birds with one stone by making it mandatory for the first buy.

Wink
1084  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: October 16, 2013, 07:43:16 PM
alright how to avoid things like that:

- people with neg rating shouldn't be allowed to buy, instead the seller should receive a request if he wants to trade with said person.

- new users with less than 5 trades should prepay their bitmit account in order to buy something.

1. With the possibly to PM eachother
2. Has already been suggested many times, BM doesnt like it

1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking news: Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) accepts BITCOIN! on: October 15, 2013, 04:03:03 PM
Baidu Jashule is only a small company, that was acquired by Baidu just recently and that offers services comparable to Cloudflare.
That might be interesting for admins, but Zhang the plumber will prolly never hear about this.
1087  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Baidu akzeptiert Bitcoin on: October 15, 2013, 03:51:27 PM

Are there any Chinese on Bitcointalk (or Chinese speakers) who can provide insight into what's going on?

1090  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 14, 2013, 03:25:22 PM
You are just repeating Goxs propaganda. There is no such thing as a transaction limit for PSPs under SEPA.
Probably not.  MtGox is not a PSP, so it wouldn't apply to them anyway.  Limits for companies which are not PSP may apply to MtGox.
You are comparing the limits of a personal account, which is ment for personal payments, to a company which process payments on behalf of users, and has to stay below the limits for when it becomes a payment service according to various EU directives and Polish law.
So which is it now? They process payments, which makes them just that under EU law.

I found the directives for you, so you can read up on it yourself:
http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/payments/framework/
Please let me know when you find something relevant in there.
I cant, because its not in there and the banks had to adopt it until 2009.

It solely depends on the bank and account type you choose:
http://www.bzwbk.pl/firmy/bankowosc-elektroniczna/pakiet-moja-firma-plus/pakiet-moja-firma-plus.html
Point 4: They can withdraw 100kk PLN or 23.5kk EUR daily.
And thats the limit for small businesses with SMS transaction confirmation.
Gox could pay out all BTC in under 50 days at the current exchange rate.
You should call their bank and tell them.
The problem is not the bank but Gox obviously lying.
I called and they told me the standard daily limit for a basic company is 100kk PLN converted according to the daily exchange rate in EUR.
1091  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 14, 2013, 01:09:30 PM
Rad the post earlier in this thread where someone called the bank and asked about MtGox's limit.
OFC, i will call them today and ask them to transfer me a few thousands, afterall they seem very liberal with other customers informations and very responsive.

This is very strange that you so vigorously defend them and even insult others that point to obvious facts.
You are comparing the limits of a personal account, which is ment for personal payments, to a company which process payments on behalf of users, and has to stay below the limits for when it becomes a payment service according to various EU directives and Polish law.  IIRC the limit is 500k EUR/month which should make MtGox's limit only 25k / business day, but there must be a loophole which enable MtGox to do transfer more than that.  I haven't had time to look into the laws myself.  IANAL.

You are just repeating Goxs propaganda. There is no such thing as a transaction limit for PSPs under SEPA. Or do you think PP could operate with 25k per day?

1092  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SOLVED: how to get BTC out of a Bitstamp account without verifying on: October 14, 2013, 11:11:08 AM

This is unbelievable.  With no warning (unless you're "facebook friends" with them) Bitstamp is refusing to let customers withdraw BTC they've deposited.  They're even refusing requests to close accounts.

Bitstamp never emailed me about this policy (even though they've sent me dozens of emails in the past to confirm trades/withdrawals).

Now they've basically stolen my money and won't give it back unless I send enough high-resolution documentation to steal my identity to some dude in Slovenia.

I've offered to let them wire the funds to my US-based bank, which has full AML documentation for me on file and who will confirm that I am the signatory for the account.

I want to stop using bitstamp and get my coins back.  They're refusing to close my account.  Scam scam scam.

Apparently they've stolen from a whole lot of people now:

Seems you missed this then:

"To be in line with financial standards, as of September 30th, 2013, bitcoin and bank transfers will only be available to verified customers."

https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bitstamp-new-verification-requirements/

This was a warning on their site prior to sep 30th, so all of a sudden they are thieves because they didn’t email you ?

Yes, they didnt inform their customers properly, i for one have never seen that well hidden page.

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2013/10/lavabit_unsealed/
"In an interesting work-around, Levison complied the next day by turning over the private SSL keys as an 11 page printout in 4-point type."
