However, this is a green trusted user, it doesn't hurt to at least "neutralize" that until he's banned.
That was my thinking. rchstr did ask for a loan, and if he's evading a ban that would be very risky for any lender. I figured a tag was more than appropriate in this situation. @asche, now I feel bad for pulling you into this. I didn't mean to start a debate as to the appropriateness of tagging a ban-evader.

Is there a way to use Electrum to view the additional accounts I've created in my Trezor hardware wallet? I can only see the first account I created, and don't see an option to find the other accounts.
Thanks for your help.

Tagged him in the meantime.
Tagged are so worthless these days and don't serve its purpose just because people are using it so randomly. And you are bringing this debate here because? Couldn't care less about what you think about it, the only way for it to work is everyone using it like they believe it should be. Trust "voting" will take care of the rest. If people disagree with you, it's not a bad thing Tags are not worthless, unless you tag the user that's already banned, then it's kinda worthless lol.

The number of banned users is increasing. I'm surrounded by them. It seems a group of plagiarists have somehow been climbing in rank. Some of them have even reached DT1 status. What's the world coming to?
|
|

Nope. I thought it was weird you didn't know, sorry for jumping to that conclusion. You shouldn't have any trouble finding someone to accept your paypal. Send the money to your account first. You'll likely have to wait a couple of days for the funds to become available, but it helps with the trust factor. And, I cast my vote for binance. Still one of the top exchanges around, you won't likely beat their fees. Buy a few $ worth of their binance coin to use for fees, and they'll give you a discount.

@Vod I think, you are a friend to crypto. My vote was cast months ago when I added you to my custom trust list.
As for reporting suspected frauds, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you'll never convince some people that they are being scammed. Take Amway, for example; I used to work with a pair of bottom-rungers who ceaselessly attempted to recruit everyone in the plant. No one could convince these guys they were being scammed, and one guy was asked by management to stop trying because of the heated discussions.
No matter how you dress up a pyramid scheme; MLM or blatant Ponzi, they're six in one and half dozen in the other. Voicing your concern only encourages others to be more scrutinous.
I'd rather you continue to voice your concerns and possibly be wrong, than the alternative.

287$ = 0.05BTC I don't mind sending first to trusted people.
Fiat? 287$ of what? You want exchange BTC for PayPal or what pair? It should be possible, but most exchangers here do it with fiat. I didn't see altcoin trades here at any time. Fiat? Fiat is a country's currency, like a 1$ bill or a Philippine Peso. I think coupable is asking; how do you plan to send the $287? Is it in a PayPal account, or some other payment service?

Placeholders that should be added: Discord, Telegram
I would also add keybase.io Maybe it'll be implemented in the Epoch system, but I doubt we'll ever see it in the SMF version.

They've been around for about a year or so. I tried to set up an account when I first learned about them, but they were asking for all my personal info, and I didn't feel comfortable sharing my KYC with a new outfit. Even if we are neighbors (I live in the SF bay area.) I haven't heard anything bad about them, but I haven't heard anything good about them either.
Another reasons I chose not to go through with setting up my account was that their fees are more than the other exchange I was already set up with. So, I use coinbase.com.

Thanks for the offer. I have all the info in an excel table that's pretty easy to manage. I also created a spreadsheet that writes the BB code for the table so I can just copy and paste when an updates are needed. I use Access everyday, and to be honest I prefer to avoid it as often as possible.

Don't want to point out any individuals, you can find some threads on lending section by DT members who almost leave positive for most of their completed deals. Being new to the lending game, this is actually something I've been struggling with. I don't want to come off as a trust abuser, that's not my intention at all. So, I'm taking a case by case approach to leaving positive reviews for my borrowers. The value of the loan is only part of the equation, and the borrower's history is another part. Also, if I give a loan without collateral, that obviously requires trust, and once it's paid back I believe a positive review is justified. Like hilariousetc said, we need to consider the reviews for any user for what they are worth. Risked BTC is included in the review for a reason.
