4681  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Urgently Need a Loan (0.1BTC) For setting up new social network on: August 08, 2017, 09:32:42 AM
Hi there,

I'm looking to get a first bitcoin loan in hopes to further build my Social network for Makeup Artists.
I've been trying to get funding to help publicize for the past few months with very little success.
Im looking to possibly get a loan of 0.1BTC for 21 days until i get wages to cover.
Would be willing to pay back at least 0.13BTC for the loan if it is possible.
can leave bank info or anything else for collateral if needed.
Urgently looking for response.

You sent me this message:

Hiya
I know im probably going at this wrong but im messaging as im looking to get a btc loan for the first time,
I've never done loans on btc before, looking to get 0.1btc to help with setting up my makeup artist social network, ive been working on the project for 6 months, and have tried Kickstarter and all other funding options with no success yet.
Im trying to cover hosting and dev fees etc
Would pay back with 0.14btc in 21 days if its possible
Can even give social card or my debit card if needed

Any info at all would really be appreciated,

Gary.

Firstly this is an unsolicited private message. I never said in public that i was able to entertain no collateral loans to brand new accounts with no rep, no trade history, no nothing basically. This is going to be the same response wherever you try to get a loan.

Either offer valid collateral or don't ask for a loan at all.

Bank account info isn't valid because i can't do anything with it if you default. Likewise with your social security or w/e. If you have stable altcoins as collateral or physical valuables(precious metals) that i deem liquid and worth the risk then i MAY be able to negotiate.
4682  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: $1200 in Tether Loan with $1900 in Collateral on: August 08, 2017, 09:18:51 AM
I'm requesting a loan of $1200 in Tether for 6 months and will repay $1600 (in Tether) at the end. As collateral, I have 11000 No Limit Coins, which are being traded for 5000 sats currently.

Would you have any other collateral, other than Nolimitcoin?

I know that NLC is being traded at 8k sats right now and whatnot but the only big exchange that lists it seems to be Yobit and yobit isn't known to have the best customer support(in fact one of the worst), and deposits can be blocked and withdrawals can be left to be processed for months.

I can fill the loan to everything you stated, apart from the repayment amount being $150 higher at $1750. This is a lot better than the 66% that Lone Shark is offering you which would equate to a $2000 repayment plus bitcoin price increases.

I can definitely do Tether, however i prefer to have the amount fixed to USD instead of Tether because Tether can go less than $1 sometimes.

I would prefer to have a trustworthy escrow hold the NLC in his yobit wallet, and have a sell order at the 125% mark to cover losses if NLC crashes.

Do you have any instant messengers that you use so we can chat in further detail?

Thanks

May I also think about your offer for a day or two?

No worries mate. Take your time, i have my funds ready anytime. Just PM me once you've made your decision, because i may not be checking this particular thread very often.

If you could offer some extra collateral apart from NLC2 then i would actually be willing to do your offer, $1600. I honestly think that NLC is a big risk because as i said, the only big exchange trading it currently is Yobit, and it's not very reliable at times.

Let me know if you still need to think about it, or if you are able to provide more collateral so i am able to fill your loan to the amount that you requested.

Your choice either way, not forcing you to do anything.
4683  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Loan Request | Multiple Collateral Options | Trying to Expand Business on: August 08, 2017, 09:08:42 AM
Loan amount : 1
- Repayment amount : 1.1
- Length: 120 Days
- Collateral or reason : Trying to gain credibility and learn about how bitcoin loans work, use for small photography business equipment.  My collateral is 400,000 XVG/Verge and 1300 XEM, this account, and I also have a Genesis mining account with 36 Th/s of lifetime hashrate.  I don't know how any of this works so how I would let you hold on to this account or the genesis mining account is up in the air to me.  I currently get paid out around .007/daily
- BTC Address: 1HThScr58iWeojtSxy459PkxpbHADhY1u4

Here is my photography website www.mitchfrinkphotography.com

I can take this on as well.

400,000 XVG equates to around 0.38 BTC right now, and 1300XEM is around 0.11 BTC. That is only half the collateral so i do have to get the genesis mining account. I have used Genesis mining before and bought a small contract, not sure how they work now but before they were paying directly to my address, so you'd have to change the payout address to mine. I'll have to be able to hold the actual genesis mining account, as well as the email attached so i know you can't reset the password. This can be through an escrow of course.

The payouts generated by Genesis can either go straight towards loan repayment, or i'll hold it for you.

If you are able to lower the loan request down to 0.7 then i can do 0.8 repayment, if you want to stick with 1 btc then i'll have to go with 1.2 BTC repayment after 120 days.

Let me know, thanks. I'm always available on a daily basis on bitcointalk.

4685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Has touch $3000!!! on: August 06, 2017, 05:04:10 AM
According to news.bitcoin.com bitcoin has surpassed $3000, will it stop there or keep going up?? what do you think??

The price is now residing at around $3200 and it seems like that it's just going to stay there for a while now.

It's been crazy, really. One day $2800 and the next $3100, and now another hundred dollars up from that.

From what i can tell i don't think this thing is over yet. A large part of why bitcoin has risen is BCC crashing, and BCC is still quite overvalued IMO at $200 apiece. When BCC crashes to say, $50, then bitcoin would have no issues going up to $3350.

Plus, Segwit has not even been activated yet. When it gets activated the bull trend is simply going to gain even more traction and probably go up even further, until it either becomes a bubble or readjusts.

BetKing, a popular Bitcoin gambling platform known for making profits worth over 7400 BTC during its previous stint has announced the ICO of its BetKing Bankroll tokens. The four-week long crowdsale is set to go live on August 7, 2017, and end on September 4, 2017. During the period, investors and cryptocurrency enthusiasts can purchase BetKing Bankroll token against Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash payments.

The platform has set the maximum cap for Bankroll tokens at 100 million, out of which 70 million is being made available to the ICO participants. The rest will be retained by BetKing and used for paying ICO bounties, testing bounties, advisors, hiring, future marketing and development activities.

The funds raised from the crowdsale will be used to build and operate the revamped BetKing casino platform. Out of the total funds raised, the platform will allocate 50% for bankrolling the bets placed against the house by players, and the remaining half will go towards development, marketing, promotions, infrastructure and legal costs. The platform has already raised over $1.2 million through the recently concluded Pre-ICO, during which early investors availed a 25% discount on the tokens.

More than $1.5 billion and counting. Call them token sales or initial coin offerings (ICOs), the funding method has quickly emerged as the de-facto way for blockchain projects to raise capital – one that is dominating headlines, as well as a growing portion of CoinDesk's editorial coverage and quarterly "State of Blockchain" report.
And it's easy to see why: ICOs are now contributing significantly more funding to the blockchain ecosystem than traditional venture capital, not to mention skyrocketing in terms of deal volume and size. The landscape is also quickly evolving in terms of deal structures, platform use, perceived legality, investor interest, and more – all leading to a boom in the amount of new data available for analysis.

It's just low-effort topic posts. You can check all their topics here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=153644;sa=showPosts

Nice find, actmyname.

Majority of his copy paste posts however are in press which i guess is basically used as a copy pasting hub for spammers for a while now... I mean he does point out the source of his posts, but since he's getting paid for posting from Betcoin.ag i don't think it's appropriate.

Not sure if this will be enough for a forum ban, in my opinion probably at least a temporary ban is appropriate. However, the best thing to do now is to contact betcoin.ag to try to notify them of what is going on, and tell them not to pay these posts. I'll do that right now.
4687  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinMarketCap.com Tracking - All Coins listed on: August 06, 2017, 04:31:29 AM
Seems like a nice handy tool but to be honest you should probably refine your design a little bit. Right now the design aspect is completely mediocre, and the fact that it is an exe will definitely drive a lot of people away from using your tool imo.

Having it as an exe will also mean that mac users like me won't be able to enjoy your tool - something to think about.

Try to get the design together. I like the concept of being able to track your profits of each coin by entering a buy price, instead of just seeing everything in total. That is very attractive for an altcoin investor. Just try to as i said, refine your design and correct a few spelling mistakes like "ammmount" Wink
4688  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex Holding Coins! I am tired of this! on: August 06, 2017, 03:43:02 AM
Why Poloniex randomly holds withdrawals and deposits? I am sick of this happenning. I have 0,4 BTC in approval for withdrawl since 5 days ago and they never answer support. Do you guys know If there is another thin I can do?

That seems to be the norm these days.

Should have done your due diligence before you deposited into their site. If you just browsed through the "exchanges" section and the scam accusation sections of this forum you will quickly realise that poloniex is completely unresponsive with their support.

I agree with thenewanon, i think that the problem is due to them being short handed on staff, or there is a liquidity issue. Probably both, tbh.

Nothing you can do apart from waiting patiently. It'll take some time though, trust me.
I don't know how but suddenly my withdrawal was approved. Maybe this thread helped, I will never know.

Most likely not. Poloniex isn't one of these companies who have an active presence on bitcointalk forum. But it's good that your withdrawal got approved - did they say anything via support, or is your ticket still answered and your withdrawal just went through without notice?

The thing about Poloniex is that they have an automated system that flags withdraws for several reasons. Things like having a lvl1 account, no 2FA enabled, password recently reset, going over your daily limit etc. can flag your transaction for manual approval. Their userbase exploded this year, likely resulting in a lot more submitted tickets and flagged transactions. People submit several tickets per day about the same issue, resulting in a work overload for their employees. They are under-staffed and work keeps piling up. They need to get their shit together before they lose all of their new customers.

Enable 2FA to slim down the odds of getting flagged.

If this is true then that explains why some people are always getting issues with poloniex and others never seems to have any issues. And sometimes we mislabel this event as selectively scamming by poloniex.

However, even if this is *supposed* to be good for the user, it's actually doing more harm, in my opinion. If they are going to continue to offer this automated flagging system then either a) make it optional or b) hire more support crew to resolve tickets.

The thing is, they have got rid of all the moderators on chat to train them to become support. But the situation doesn't seem to be improving much.

It's probably time for people to switch to another exchange like Bittrex until all this is sorted out...

I had 2 withdraws stuck for a few weeks but they did get processed. I can imagine that the process of hiring more employees is difficult. Their employees have access to a lot of personal details so they want to make sure they can be trusted.

That's not an excuse... They've been having problems for at least since April-may, which is around a 3 month timeframe at the least for them to sort out there issues and get their shit together. The trollbox has been gone for at least 2 months as well now.

The thing is you can only hope for the best, if your withdrawal is not flagged then all is good, but it is, it all depends on luck.
4689  Economy / Digital goods / Re: S> $50 Steam Gift Card for $45 BTC - 10% Off on: August 06, 2017, 03:33:24 AM
I can't go first,  so we will need to use an escrow. PM me if you want.

After escrow confirms payment, I will send a code which can be entered in the Steam website to redeem your credits.

Buy 3 and get 5% off the total price.
Buy 5 and get 10% off the total price.

I'm just saying Steam Gift cards for 2% off is literally nothing...

Even supermarkets sometimes have them at 10% off, or even more.

I would reconsider your pricing if you want to stay competitive. At least 10% off is a good starting point, then if someone buys 3 then give them 15%, if they buy 5 then give them 17.5% off, so on so forth.

Plus, do you have any sort of proof of purchase for these codes?

Steam codes can be carded since game keys can be sold for bitcoins easily... A receipt or something like that will do.

Thanks for the advice, it's my first time selling here so I am learning Smiley Changed some parts of the thread!

Nice, i like your attitude.

I don't want to sound anal but, next time you get these cards from your supplier or supermarket tell them to give you a receipt. Because if it was paid by credit card or debit card there is still a risk of them being carded.

Just some listings on paxful for steam wallet codes: https://paxful.com/sell-bitcoin/steam-wallet-gift-card Use this to your advantage, try to beat your competitors Wink As i said 10% is a good starting point but you should also offer volume discount.

Good luck!

I like your site, i do agree that the snake game can be easily gamed by people with malicious intents but since there is a maximum number of games that can be played in one day and you guys seem to be fine with it, i can't really complain.

There is one thing that bothers me, though.

You must have a minimum balance of 0.01 BTC to withdraw your money to your Bitcoin address (set in Profile).

Your account balance is less than 0.01 BTC. Try betting more to increase your account balance so that you can withdraw.

This is around like $32 with the current bitcoin prices. Probably not the best idea to have a faucet site alongside with such a high withdrawal limit. I suggest lowering the limit substantially. If you can't afford to pay the tx fees for everyone then just charge people for instant withdrawals, if they want to get their withdrawals free then they'd have to wait for a batch of transactions(like freebitco.in).

Also, fortune hunter does not work for me and seems to be bugged. I can't see my bet amount.

Adding a chat will also help boost community interest.

Otherwise it's a great site. I would definitely want to be a part of it.

New to the world of cryptocurrency. Where is the best places to buy Bitcoins & Altcoins with Australian Dollars, preferably with the cheapest fees? It seems all exchanges need you to have Bitcoins to buy Altcoins.

Where are you based?

I could sell you some bitcoins if you are willing to either 1)Generate a cardless cash code from either Westpac, St. George or Commbank for the amount you want to purchase or 2) Make a cash deposit into my commbank account.

We can negotiate rates. LBC escrow is accepted if you amount is over 0.2 BTC. Otherwise i can go with any forum escrow or you can send first. But let me know the amount you are trying to exchange first.

I wouldn't recommend any of the trading sites based in AU, they have quite strict AML and KYC requirements for new users. Trading p2p is the way to go, imo.

For altcoins, you just need to get bitcoin first. I don't think that there are any active exchanges apart from maybe a few with strict KYC requirements that have BTC/ETH or BTC/LTC pairs listed on their site.
4693  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoin Arbitrage Opportunity for people based in the USA, 3 to 6 % daily profit on: August 05, 2017, 09:50:11 AM
Hey guys, I live in South Africa and I'm an avid bitcoin enthusiast and alt coin trader. I've recently noticed the bitcoin price here is about 150$ higher than on a US based exchange like BitStam. Note that anyone not based in SA would not be able to take advantage of this and I also am not able to take advantage of this unless I make a partner based in the US. If you are interested and want to get in touch please reply to this post or email me: georgesizwe@gmail.com or hmu on twitter @sizwe_madoda 😃
Looking to build dialogue and a trading relationship with someone knowledgeable and transparent!

The fact that you're trying to market this as sort of an investment scheme rings a lot of alarm bells in my opinion.

There is probably a reason why South African exchange rates are higher than US exchange rates. I have no idea what reason it is but there obviously has to be some sort of regulatory concern for traders or capital control in SA. Otherwise, all the arbitragers out there would be able to make hundreds of thousands and the arbitrage opportunity will quickly go away.

According to your logic, we should all hit up our Korean friends because their exchanges offer like 10-20% more than US based exchanges... But there is a damn reason why price is so high in the first place. Not all people are dumbasses.
4694  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TrueCryptoinere is a Scammer on: August 05, 2017, 09:34:10 AM
Firstly, thank you for posting the scam accusation in the correct format. This seems to be a rarity these days.

Secondly, please post the actual txid of your transaction instead of a screenshot from your web wallet(blockchain.info) account. As you know, web pages can easily be manipulated by either photoshop or inspect element. I'm not saying that you're lying, this is just for confirmation purposes.

There are a few alarm bells that should have rung:

1. His selling threads are all self moderated meaning if you accuse him of scam, you would have got your post deleted.
2. He seems to be scamming for at least 6 month snow, check his untrusted feedback on his trust page.
3. Account has low post quality

DT members please tag this person. Thanks in advaance.

4696  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 05, 2017, 08:01:19 AM
To be honest, there should really be some sort of automatic mechanism where deposits/inputs are able to be able to mixed together to produce a chip as soon as the chip inventory goes down to less than 10 BTC, for example.

Otherwise the system cannot scale with just manual workers topping up the chips all the time. And you can't even outsource for this job because it directly involves handling of real money, and there are scammers out there just wanting to take some of that cash.

Of course, admin cannot be up 24h a day 7 days a week.

So please, try to come up with a solution. Doubling the chip pool doesn't really solve the problem from its root. Not criticizing, but rather just trying to give some feedback and hopefully you guys can use this to your advantage. I'm sure you guys already are thinking about how to approach this problem, though.

Hey All,
Anyone planning to sell Siacoin?
i need to buy some.
Needless to say will be via escrow.
Can give BTC/LTC/PP. PM me offers
Thanks

How much do you need? Why do you even need to buy in private?

You know you can just buy it on an exchange, right? People aren't going to give you any sort of big discount either because they can sell their siacoin on an exchange as well because it is a fairly liquid altcoin after all.

Here, all the exchanges accepting siacoin trading: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/siacoin/#markets

If you do decide to go with p2p trading just please, don't get scammed... Use escrow, and verify that the escrow is real and not an impersonater.

Just thought i'd stop by to say that i can vouch for this guy, traded with him numerous times and never had to worry about my money even though it's in the hundreds of dollars many times that we've traded.

He definitely has a lot of technical expertise that a lot of people on this forum(including me) do not have, that's what makes him very special.

Plus, his rates are super-reasonable. I'm actually surprised he's not managing any campaigns or actively escrowing for anyone, tbh. Someone hire this guy!!!
4699  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for BTC to buy, pay with: Neteller, paypal on: August 02, 2017, 10:10:53 AM
The issue is that I've been looking for an exchange for the last two weeks but in vain because I'm from Mauritius Island and most of the exchanges doesn't operate here or can't do bank transfers from here Sad

I did not want to buy on paxful because the rates are really high and the reason I'm buying BTC is to keep as long term investment. I would buy even if the rates is slightly higher than the current market rates but buying regularly at $500 higher is too much for me or do you think it is a good deal? (newbie here and any advice would be appreciated).

I can also go through any other types of payment if it's available from where I am Smiley

Thank you for your reply.

Ah, i see what you mean.

What i suggest you do is, get your paypal funds exchanged to perfectmoney/payeer by either withdrawing your funds to your bank account first, then funding your PM account, and then exchanging from PM to BTC is easy. I can do that as well. But that's probably going to incur a lot of fees in itself so yeah, not really worth the trouble unless you're super desperate.

Another way is that you can send cash in mail, i can do this if you can send it in AUD(my local currency). There is a risk of your mail getting stolen though, again probably not the best way. Do you have no banking services available in your country? If yes then SWIFT transfers would work...

IS paypal funds all you have?

I can do swift transfers and yes there are all kinds of banking services here but :

  • The problem is that most of the exchange I've seen said that bank transfers from here is restricted or not available Sad
  • There are other exchanges like bitfinex for example, they have disabled fiat currency deposits some time ago, so I don't know if they were accepting bank transfers from my country or not?

I've also seen cex.io, I saw that they were accepting visa cards, but after some searching online, i've seen some withdrawal and deposit issues. Anyone been using it?

Edit: No, paypal is not my only source of funds.
Also, I did not know about perfect money, I'll look into it. thank you

If you can do SWIFT transfers then there are a lot of people that can help you. shdvb comes to mind first, i believe that he has done a lot of bitcoin trades with wire transfers in the past and they were all high volume.

Can you list all the options you can pay by, anything possible that you can think of, and i'll see what i can do for you?

BTW, virwox isn't the good idea at all. You'd be easily taknig a 15% shave per trade. Yes the fees do decrease as your trades stack up but it's a miniscule difference. Plus, the limits are super low. It's hardly an "acceptable fee" imo.
4700  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] ETH/BCC Have Webmoney on: August 02, 2017, 09:59:03 AM
Buying BCC also

I have like 0.4 BCC or just under that amount.

Do you want to trade? I can do $435 per BCC, so 0.4 BCC will roughly equate to $175 or so.

Let me know whether you accept this or not. In the end though I'd actually want bitcoins in my wallet instead of webmoney(if you give me webmoney i have to go through the whole exchange process, perhaps lose like $10 or more on fees) so do you only pay in Webmoney or can you pay in bitcoin/Ethereum as well?

Thank you!
