4701  Economy / Reputation / Re: Theymos is a Scammer? Let's talk on: May 01, 2019, 06:44:08 PM
Because some bitcointalk trusted(!!!) members are attacking us and Theymos do nothing. I am asking all of you,

Trust is deregulated and unmoderated.  Deal with those who've left the feedback.

Most of the scam projects had banner ads on bitcointalk??? YESSSSS

Examples, please.

So, we have managed over 100 projects and a few of them turned into scam.

A few?  Lol, once those "few" were exposed as scams, how did you react?  With the community's best interest in mind, or you wallet's?
4702  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hero Member loan defaulted 0.015 BTC on: May 01, 2019, 06:02:04 PM
Strange! that guy just recovered his/her account only few days back. Wondering how a Hero members give up his/her account just for 0.015BTC. However seems account has been tagged.
This could be a new thing: sell an account, have it tagged for being hacked, recover the account, take a loan, and default on it. If 0.015 BTC is enough to abandon a Hero account, does that mean nobody would buy it for more than that anymore?

That's a about as dirty as a scammer can get.  If he's selling it, and then taking a loan to abandon, he's getting paid twice for the same account.

Putting a monetary value on accounts seems very difficult to me.  It's not something I apply to my evaluations when deciding whether to fund a loan or not.  Instead, I try to evaluate how much the user values his account.  I hope it's a practical strategy, only time will tell.

4703  Other / Meta / Re: Why I was perma-ban? Spam or plagiarism? Hell no! on: May 01, 2019, 05:51:52 PM
At least I left BitcoinTalk a senior member with over 280 merits which you can never reach that for your entire life.

Lolz.  You've only earned 34 merit, you were airdropped 250.  Bitcoin_Arena was airdropped only 10 merit, and has earned nearly 3 x as many merit as you have.

I moved on.

That's a good attitude to have.  Admin may take it easy on you, best of luck.
4704  Other / Meta / Re: Can someone help me with a seclog question? on: May 01, 2019, 05:22:49 PM
They could force the recovery from a real buyer. They could fake a hack and a recovery in collusion with the buyer to make you think there was no sale.

Wow, that would be a dirty trick.  Good thing most scammers aren't that clever, but maybe a few have figured it out.

Here's a situation where a hero account was recently recovered and had the "manual recovery" tag applied in the sec-log.
Subsequently, the user skipped out on a $80 loan.  So, yeah I wouldn't take that as a sure thing the account holder is trustworthy...

@sumangs, we need more information.  Which exchange is asking for a deposit to allow a withdrawal?  How did the bitcoin get into your exchange account?  Is it a trade from fiat that requires a holding period?

In all honesty this sounds rather scammy to me, but I'm curious for answers to my questions.

I've added your information to the list of Bitcointalk lenders.  If I've made any errors, or you would prefer to not be listed, let me know.
4712  Other / Politics & Society / Duterte: @Canada, deal with your shit. on: April 30, 2019, 05:12:40 PM
This is a humorous turn of events:  Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has threatened a decloration of war against Canada, and even threatened to dump all their abandoned trash on Canada's beaches.

Duterte's beef with the Canucks stems from over 100 Canadian shipping containers that have been sitting in a Manila dock for almost 6 years.  The containers were labeled as containing recyclable materials, but in fact they're literally full of shit.

The shipping containers arrived in Manila in 2013 and 2014, after Philippine officials say an Ontario-based private firm falsely declared the containers held recyclable materials.

But it later turned out that it was actually household trash — inspectors even found used adult diapers.

4713  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is staying out of debt, legitimacy? on: April 30, 2019, 04:07:04 PM
Sure, there should be track record and honesty too and that's considered if-to-be fulfilled by the lender.

And this is exactly why I would never lend to you.  Your track record of being late to repay, you've been deceitful, and top it off with healthy amount of conceit despite all your shortcomings.

jackg gave you a very generous gift, and you even alluded to "paying it forward."  Had that actually happened I may have considered revising the trust rating I left you.  But here you are, feeling the waters to see if it's safe to ask for another hand out?

Dude, go accomplish something; earn a buck the traditional, honest way; develop some pride in yourself.  This isn't going to go the way you hope.
4714  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corruption in The White House. on: April 30, 2019, 03:20:20 PM
The do-nothingness of the Repub did seem very odd, but could have been due to the lack of a Repub leader. Remember the old rule "Divide and Conquer?" Obama et. al. had the repubs divided into Tea Party Conservatives, and "Real Repubs." Ryan tried to bridge that gap, albeit poorly.

And then there was Trump.

A lot of the Republicans were (are still) appalled by Trumps nomination, because Trump isn't a true Republican (my opinion.)  He's definitely conservative, but he doesn't toe The Party line.  We're now seeing the light shine on the corruption of the Democrats, but the swamp is just as full of corrupt Republicans.  Those ingrained Washington insiders are scared shitless right now, as they should be.  They need to be constantly scared.  The more scared they are the better off America will be.

It's funny you mentioned the division in the Republican party during Obama's term, we're seeing a similar phenomenon with real Democrats and the Democratic Socialists.  They are dividing themselves and that's going to be their downfall in 2020.  Just like the Republicans shot themselves in the foot in 2012.

4715  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: What is the safet way to buy BTC with bank wire? 100 000 GBP on: April 30, 2019, 02:51:32 PM
For that amount of loot, I would insist on the safest possible way of transferring it into bitcoin.  The safest way is through a reputable exchange.  A reputable exchange will require KYC.  Reputable exchanges require KYC for their own, and their customers' safety.

I think you already know all this, but are hoping to find a safe, yet anonymous way of transferring that dough.  I don't think one exists.  So now you have a choice:  Safety vs. Anonymity.  Some folks can afford to risk $100K, others of us can't.

Best of luck.

4717  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for person with Paypal $30 on: April 29, 2019, 10:12:37 PM
Hi, I am looking for a person with $30 in their PayPal to purchase a digital good for me. I would prefer if the person is trusted enough that they will not charge-back and I can pay first.
Willing to pay $5+the goods price in either ETH/BTC

If you are willing to do this please message me with either your telegram/skype since I am a newbie here.

First of all, you need to be on the currency exchange subforum.

Secondly, your added rate is very low. Paypal itself will charge around 9 - 10% extra for using it. Your $5 extra is not enough skin in the game - in my opinion.

Well i'm not really converting to Paypal I am looking for a person to purchase something for me with paypal and I will pay them for their service.

Still looking for this but feel like updating I can only pay in ethereum. Remember you must be a user who others think of as trustworthy.

Since your saying its too low I can pay up to $10 for their service.

I might help.  What is it you want purchased?  You can PM me if you would rather.
4718  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 0.5 BTC loan my collateral is 250,000 LAX COINS www.lapo.io on: April 29, 2019, 07:55:23 PM
Hi there, I'm looking for 0.51 BTC loan my collateral is 250,000 LAX COINS www.lapo.io . LAX is a stablecoin net worth $0.035 per LAX very soon in exchanges, see their telegram official chat.

I forgot to mention :s I will repay in 3 weeks and you can KEEP collateral as profit, i just need some investment help thanks

This is the long-term lending section, your request is for 3-weeks which is not long-term.  This thread should be in the standard Lending board.

And just so I understand, you are offering 250k LAX coins, supposedly worth $0.035 each ($8750 total) for 0.51 BTC ($2650) loan?  And then the lender gets to keep the keep the LAX coin after you pay the loan back?

Who would give away $8750?  And if that person could afford to give away so much money, why is he here trying to borrow $2650?

I think I know what's really going on:  You know this coin is worthless, it's likely to remain worthless after its IEO, and you're hoping to find a sucker to give you 0.51 BTC for a pile of worthless shitcoins.

You already indicated how little you care to keep the coins by offering to gift them to the lender who fills your loan, and by proclaiming your intention to sell:

well ok thanks for your reply, ill list them for sale on forum then

This is a pretty obvious attempt to scam someone.

4719  Economy / Lending / Re: DireWolfM14's Crypto Lending Service - BTC & ETH Loans on: April 29, 2019, 03:07:04 PM
Hi DireWolfM14

Are you willing to accept  250,000 LAX coins from my investment I did from www.lapo.io project?
If you and I can come to an agreement now I will give them also at the end of the loan for you to keep the wallet.dat and my keys when it hits the exchanges, for your help

You can keep my collateral and i will repay in full. You can call me too to discuss. I'm from Belgium.

LAX coin does not meet the criteria for collateral since it has no value, and you don't qualify for an unsecured loan.
4720  Economy / Lending / Re: [LIST] Bitcointalk's Lending Services [LIST] on: April 29, 2019, 02:45:44 AM
It's really interesting how there aren't any listed services with a thread from 2017. I wonder what happened to all the lenders from that period of time...

Maybe they cashed out ATH, and are sipping piña coladas in the Bahamas.  One would hope that's the case, anyway.

It's also fascinating how many services popped up in the last two months alone.
