The best time to buy back will be after 2 strong downward sub-waves, in order to profit from the fake return to bull market.

Can you post a mock-up chart of how you predict it happening?
482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 24, 2013, 12:46:29 PM
$180 by next Friday, i promise.

This is going to be a terrible news for me if you fulfill on your promise. I want to buy back at double digits you know.

Can you postpone your promise by 10 - 14 days?
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 22, 2013, 12:44:25 AM
Well, I mean, we've had the price recede from ~125 a couple of times now, and every time some large buy has taken everything leading up to the once 6k 125 wall. Nothing says it cant happen again. Now, 5k exactly? IDK.

Let's wait and see Cool
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 22, 2013, 12:35:52 AM

I wouldnt be surprised to see a 5k buy.

If my math is correct (it is not easy to do it with regard to 3 exchanges while using no software for it, just eyeballing) such a buy should not happen before price dives to 106 - 105.

But a guy who has cash for a single 5k buy surely has better math than me.

Disclaimer: I am not telling 125 is the top, neither am telling the price will dive to 106 -105.
485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: August 22, 2013, 12:21:21 AM
If 125 was the top, then by the 27th price should be between 115 and 120 IMO.

When I went long at 66, The probability was:
1% - will deepen the 50 low
99% - will go to 122 - 123

Then, if 122 - 123 is reached
- 35% bearish
- 65% bullish reaching levels 138 or 152 or at least 300

At that time Gox was the king.

Now things are more complex and one needs to read charts (reading more than charts is impossible - there are no quality tools for traders in the crypto realm) from 3 exchanges at the same time to make sense of what will happen next.

the main question on my mind, which I probably won't get an answer...

The rule of thumb is if you don't know what the market is going to do or the conditions on the market are abnormal, stay away from the market.

good rule, that would probably end up ruling out a majority of those involved in "the market"

Yes  Smiley

bitstamp just touched $113 !

BTCUSD keeps on surprising.

MtGox with its higher prices seems pretty much neutral, Bitstamp with prices lower than MtGox looks as if (probability lower than 50%) it wanted to drop to 85, BTC-e with prices even lower than Bitstamp looks as if (probability lower than 50%) it wanted to drop to only 90.

It is not a call (it can't be a call given such a shitty probability). I am just extremely curious about what is going to happen within the next 2 weeks given arbitrage peculiarities in the Bitcoin realm.
489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Track Record Forum Members on: August 21, 2013, 10:31:25 PM

Imagines the manual tracking through 100's of posts XD
Lol

It would be much easier if forecasters posted pictures of their calls.
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Track Record Forum Members on: August 20, 2013, 11:25:35 PM
There is no reward or price.

That's a pity. I hoped to get one Satoshi or even two Satoshis as a reward Embarrassed

Fair? What do you think?

Fair. Extremely happy to have gotten a plus.

Having a proven good track record has high reputation value and can be leveraged in different ways: newsletter, fund, etc.

Newsletter? - not with my English. Fund? - already did this. Will stick to etc in the future Cheesy

I would post BECAUSE OF HIM!

I am a harmless being. I don't want to cause any headaches on his end nor want to increase his mushroom intake Cool

Your favourite daddy, Loozik, made a prediction on on 7 July that the price will make it from 66 to about 123 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg2673061#msg2673061

You're on a roll! Next prediction (up) please ;-)

I had already promised not to make any more BTCUSD calls. Even Shroomskit criticized me for posting them  Smiley

If you were in my shoes would you post any calls after having being criticized by him?

But I will be watching BTCUSD with great interest.

I am world's probably worst trader, and there is no way I could ever dream of aspiring to your list. But if there is some sort of reward / prize in this competition, then I would like you to consider me.

I made a call telling the price will go from 66 to 123

Then for those who missed the 66 bottom I made two calls to catch up the move.

After being criticized, I promised not to make any more BTCUSD calls, but if you encourage me I might consider giving non-BTCUSD calls

Would the above count for 1 or for 3 calls?

495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitcoinWisdom - Yet Another Live Mtgox market chart on: August 18, 2013, 02:02:43 PM
I seem to have accidentally (by a mouse movement) decreased the spacing between the bars and tightened the bars which resulted in condensing the chart (compared to default settings), which I like a lot.

Can someone advise me on how to repeat this feature in the future?
Mouse wheel will decrease/increase the bar size and spacing.

Many thanks  Smiley

He was banned for trolling.

1. Can someone post the definition of trolling?

2. Can someone show examples of the trolling by MNW (links, pictures, etc)?

his girl took like two whole classes in psych

She took three  Wink

Be cautious of this guy

I am pretty much harmless. And there is no big deal in calling somebody by name from time to time. It just happens.

MPOE-PR made it a regular practice to label people as ''stupid'', ''idiots'', etc. I suspect she self-medicated her low self esteem by publicly implying her interlocutors are somehow inferior to her.

But it was not enough. With this thread she decided to elevate her self-esteem even further by referring to her boss as ''the god''. Wouldn't your self-esteem skyrocket if you worked for a god?

This madness needs to be stopped before MPOE-PR devices an even ''better'' method of self-medicating.

The spiral should not go any further. She needs a professional help.
499  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 15, 2013, 02:38:25 PM
He didn't get banned for that bet, he got banned for his "troll messages"/trolling.

I see people who have scammed being here in the forums as Hero members without any tags, just carrying a little neg rating from theymos. For example bulanula who scammed over 22 bitcoins, had scammer tag for a while..

1. I am a silly newbie then  Wink Still learning the rules of the house.

2. Are there any examples of ''troll messages''?
500  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 15, 2013, 02:31:08 PM
There is a full list here.

Thanks.

1. I think Theymos did right by banning Matthew from posting (I enjoyed MNW's posts but had no idea about the bet case), yet at the same time allowing him to send and receive PMs.

2. Ability to receive PMs and replying to them is essential for Matthew to communicate with his creditors (people he has financial liabilities towards) and essential for his creditors to reach him.

3. As soon as Matthew reaches settlements with all the creditors and pays them, the ban may be lifted.
