481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 25, 2020, 02:48:43 PM
This instructions/advice are just common sense. Why would you risk playing casino when there is a pandemic and I think almost all casinos and other establishments that gather huge amount of people are closed right now. We could all be safe in our houses, why not try online casinos or if it is not your thing then go save that money or funds for future use or urgent use. Stay safe guys.

I'm 100% sure none of casinos where the location is infected by Corona Virus is still operating, authorities know that contact among gamblers cannot be restricted, gambling casinos are the first to close when the virus hit the location they are on the category of concerts, festivals and meetings.
It is a big risk to open such casinos as the corona is contagious and it is a pandemic. Governments have to take every possible action in order to stay safe from this virus. We all shall simply avoid going to places where the gathering is expected in order to reduce the chances of getting infected by this virus.

we dont need to avoid them because crowded places like casinos are now being shutdown except from those establishments that are verry important of course like market  .
Agree and there are strict enforce law out there prohibiting anyone outside if they don't have any important business that requires them on going out, the important stuff I mentioned are; buying foods, medicines, and going out for work. Anything else is prohibited, well in my area it was strictly being enforced here. In addition gambling games here are being restricted as well thus, casinos are being forced to temporarily close their establishments, and lottos either.

Quote
casinos arent really that important but its only a past time for people but i heard classes are canceled too ? schooling is important too i forgot but the good part is that we can do them online  . we can gamble or learn online    .  if someone is isnt following the protocol , they have to be punished imediately because this covid thing is not a joke  .
Online classes are being discouraged 'cause the privilege one are the only people who would get benefit from it. Poor people, and/or the middle class who can't afford to have an internet and gadgets as well would get left behind. See the unfair treatment? although it is too important, wouldn't deny it, we shouldn't overlook stuff, we should properly weigh if such treatment anyone/everybody would equally be benefited. Otherwise, don't encourage it in the first place.
482  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coronavirus Prediction Thread on: March 25, 2020, 01:53:54 PM
Usually vaccines do take a year to be fully developed. I don't think either that it would consume such time span considering the current environment, materials, discoveries, and ideas that we have right now compare to what we have before. Humanity have evolved from creating those medical stuff. The thing is that virus could cope with the environment where it was in, thus, it would be complicated (though it was complicated in the first place). Anyway, let us just hope that someone out there could carry it on, Earth have suffered too much in this 1st quarter of 2020, and let us hope for a better run in the next several months.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where ETH will go if it breaks down $80? on: March 24, 2020, 04:56:34 PM
Many traders and investors put trust in ETH. But recently ETH performance is very bad, in every market crash, ETH has biggest fall. It's strong support is $80, i can't imagine where it will go. ETH was traded between $10-$15 for a long time ( i looked back its chart).
Do you think ETH will be around $10-$15 again if its $80 support is broken?

Hi there, buddy. It seems road been changing now. As of now ETH has risen a 4.57% in the last 24 hrs, and it seems there were no signs of falling down as even Bitcoin were going upwards, and ETH has a support level somewhere greater than $120 but less than $130. It just shows how unpredictable the market is looking upon from the day you posted it here. The thing is that how long this momentum will last as everything seemed to be green now, although the threat of the virus is still out there who pull down the market so sudden due to uncontrollable panic of the majority of losing their profit, and as well panic on getting infected.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Ripple’s XRP could reach $1 in 2020 ? on: March 24, 2020, 02:27:52 PM
It has been a wild ride for ripple so far this year, with the price dipping to $0.26 and then quickly regaining to $0.29. This comeback has analystshitting Twitter to predict that  XRP may see the $1.00 mark by the end of 2020 and here is why: https://crypto-current.co/ripples-xrp-could-reach-1-2020/

Do you think XRP has the potential to hit $1.00 by the end of 2020?

It doesn't take anything to bet though, I could say that it is possible although this early 2020 was rough for the market and people as well, once everything gets to be able to recover, and be fined; like no more threats and such we might be able to see a gradual recovery for the market as people are going back to crypto space once again. Anyway, bull run after the halving always happens after a year then so we might be able to see up close xrp hitting $1 close or not but what is quite sure is that once the bull run triggers then we might be able to see such price.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 Question on: March 24, 2020, 09:40:22 AM
Coronavirus keeps getting outta hands in countries like Italy and France and others, things keep getting worse with the disease every day but I surprised me is the affectionate to crypto, it seems to stop affecting crypto already what do you think?
It also affect it when you observed carefully. We cant see the full extent how this affecting the market but, there are factors that surely related to the down fall of the market with this crisis:

  • People converting into fiat for buying necessary supply
  • Some holders/investors pulled out due to panic selling
  • Crypto isnt a safe haven for fund hedging so therefore other remains on fiat holding and own currency

Some say, whales did the downfall, but yes every factor affect the market but we cant deny that covid19 is one of them.

Agree, it may be a temporary factor, IMO, due to the sudden increase in the number of cases that triggers the big panic among the community that leads to the sudden downfall of the market, of course, 'cause of the massive selling of the assets for them to buy necessities that could save them staying at their homes for a while. Well, in the case of stock markets, I kinda think that it was a different story. The thing is that COVID-19 did play a major role in pulling down the markets though. Anyway, we should take an opportunity to buy some stuff back then 'cause just look at the market right now, everything seemed going to be fine now.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 23, 2020, 04:43:03 PM
Last week the United kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning that the coronavirus out real might be providing criminals with the opportunity to swindle investors out of their crypto assets, you've been warned

Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will surely try many things.

Do not trust any one or organization asking for donations to combat the outbreak, it's not real

Scammers are innovative, they will always find new things to do their stuff. No matter how alarming the circumstances right now there will be always people that would do thing differently from the right one. Instead of lending hand, and helping one another they can still pullout such things, they really have the guts. Anyway not surprised by these things, I mean even outside the crypto space such stuff is prevalent, like those people who hoard necessities in this crisis, and would sell stuff doubled on its original price, it is just like they are totally blind on what's the essence of helping each other. Anyway, ya'll guys be careful with such deceptive acts, always watch your assets.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 23, 2020, 10:29:39 AM
Now that almost all sporting events all over the world are cancelled, those wanting bet of sports events are left with having to find alternatives. What are the majority doing?

Are some giving up and trying to become reformed gamblers?
Quite close on givin' up though, and I am on my way to change especially if this would take any much longer. Because, man, I couldn't find any alternatives besides watching movies, killing time by sleeping more, and playing games got me fed up already bringing it online won't be good either as I don't have decent internet.

Quote
Are some gambling on casinos instead?
Nah, everything here is closed except for hypermarkets, pharmacies. Even going outside, walking outdoors, and you don't have any business such as buying foods, and medicines isn't allowed. You'll be forced to go home.

Quote
What are alternatives most sports betting users are now switching to?

Sports betting? I don't think you could find an alternative like sports betting as well online. Online casino would be good but sports betting alike, well, you couldn't find anything out there.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 22, 2020, 12:35:07 PM
Well guys this is the end ,it was a great ride ,we made money,we lost money ,we had fun ,it was a beautiful journey .

eth price today 109 usd
bitcoin price 4864 usd

They will never recover,at least we should learn the lesson from this crises.

For me most important lesson is that money isn't real  and it shouldn't be that important in life.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4y48CBEQso

Too much negativity in this post though. Gonna tell you something, it is pretty natural for bitcoin to move differently on what you expect, something like this right now, it is definitely because of what you so-called crisis currently happening but that doesn't mean it would be the end. Market ain't always on its top condition, and before we even reach such price bitcoin had been through a lot more worse condition than this. It is just the market came back again here because people are in fear of getting infected that they tend to act to buy foods, or necessities itself which requires spending their assets, and hide inside their house till the virus get wiped out. Believe it or not market are going to recover once again, and might even surpassed its ATH when halving triggers bullrun soon.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another price rejection incoming on: March 22, 2020, 09:50:14 AM
I just came across this news today that Bitcoin could revisit 3000$ said the guy who first predicted Bitcoin crash to 3k, I wonder what this is all about, I refuse to accept that this is another Coronavirus punishment on the market, if you are holding top altcoins you should be ready

As of today Bitcoin price is at $6,200 base on cmc. Bitcoin had already passed through closed to such price, I don't think that it would going fall down below $4k, but if it would may be it will just going to remain between $4k and $5k somewhere between that. However if the market are really that unfortunate, and it really did crashed at $3k, I don't think that COVID has something to do with it. May be there is something shady happening behind, some sort of manipulation? in my opinion. Anyway, with that being said we should be ready in terms of buying more, fund allocation on providing which coin to buy if that big dump would going to happen.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: March 22, 2020, 08:41:00 AM
Remember the financial crisis in 2008 when banks stopped customers from withdrawing funds? Then drip feeding tiny amounts to customers via ATMs. This is going to happen again, this time it will be worse.

Take your financial freedom in your own hands, Buy crypto today

Man, that's really a lot whole worse, and it would be very painful, if that were going to happen. I kinda think that is very unlikely to happen again with today's environment. Because everybody, I mean everyone is in need now besides there were different circumstances way back last 2008 has, that is why they came out to the point that they need pull out such silly decision compared to what is happening right now. No one would allow something like that though, humanity isn't like that anymore, I hope so. Anyway, I wholeheartedly agree with your last statement, take some, before everything be going too late for you to buy though. Because once everything seemed to be fine, and everything been settled down, market is going to rise up once again.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Corona Virus was predicted but it will soon vanish on: March 17, 2020, 02:03:22 PM

In the 2008 book, Browne wrote: 'In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.

'Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it has arrived, attack again 10 years later, and then disappear completely.'
Because of this prediction, my theory that the corona virus was once a super weapon of China to reduce humanity is coming true.

My theory is that, there is a laboratory on China that is filled with viruses because that is the place where they are experimenting new kinds of viruses for future weapons and this is one of them. Although this is just what I'm thinking, there are no proofs that these are true (this is what I get from reading Deep Web Theories years ago Cheesy).

As much as I love your theory the more I get mad with such people who made that. Because, man, how numb they can be, aren't they have feelings towards the humanity? Anyway, enough of so much drama.

Quote
So do you believe in this prediction and are you one of the dumpers?
Maybe yes, maybe not.

What's important for me is, no need to panic as this virus is controllable already and it other virus like SARS, Ebola are far more deadly than COVID. It is just the virus right now spreads faster than the other virus but the chances of recovery is high too and there are many people who recovered already (around 40+%) so no need to panic and don't dump whatever assets you are holding right now but instead, accumulate more because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy assets at a cheaper price Wink.

In my case, I don't but I do believe that there were so much possibilities on where the virus originated. However we can't fake it with today's environment, in my opinion. Well, I am already that close on dumping my assets especially when I see the market is already going quickly but I did choose on holding tight since I don't really have much anything to buy nor should buy, as my family came prepared when the virus infection is going out world wide. And in addition, we can't prevent somebody holding their assets within this crisis 'cause not all of us can afford to buy stuff with the stock money alone. Someone, somebody pretty much depends in this space, and that's quite sad in this society.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH might go down below 80$ on: March 16, 2020, 11:47:51 AM
Oh man, I wish I had cash to invest money in crypto during the last dump. I always run out of cash exactly when I need it the most.. I'd honestly buy any of the top 100 coins, just give me the cash Cheesy
high confidence is needed that we believe there will be improvement, and I see the above partner is very wise in this matter. I will also do the same if there are sufficient funds. we should believe that ethereum will be able to rise again. It is normal for the current decline, believe that the ethereum period of decline will end.

I have high confidence as well as I have a feeling the same trend before will happen in the future.
When ETH drop below $100, people were panic and that time I bought more ETH and I was able to cash out in just less than a year, that's how profitable when we are investing at dip especially when there is a panic not only crypto market but its a global panic, usually this is the best time to buy.
This confidence, in my opinion wont occur or you won't feel it when dump is in the middle of its motion since you're still aren't certain on what exact price it will stop so that you can maximize the opportunity of buying it, I mean you'll get it in much cheaper price than it had. Anyway I am quite confident like you buddy. I am quite sure that the market will soon rise up and will come more bigger since the market is in major collapse. It is just stuff now is out of hand, but once everything is in controlled, I mean the factors affecting it, and everyone is in their proper mind we would be able to see a better community and market.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the news we need for market to recover on: March 16, 2020, 10:11:30 AM
Many are associating the Corona Virus has something to do with the crash of the market, because they theorize that people are liquidating their shares or coins and converting it to fiat so they can buy basic necessities in case these pandemic, but what if our medicine experts finally find the cure, will the market recover  because of this news?

What's your take on this?

I am not totally certain with this but may be fear has really something to do with the current worldwide condition, of course, and whales did manipulate the market at the same time so that we are going to notice the issue better than the possible side events. Can't agree no more with your statement since it is pretty far the obvious one and even here people tend to panic, worse is that they turn even more greedy, that they being pushed by above-all-else vision on how they'll addressed the problem itself. Do market will get recover? Yes, and better be ready once the virus got finished up, 'cause I believe that the market will rise up as well.
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Jimmy Song 100,000$ Prediction on: March 16, 2020, 09:04:48 AM
We will see many more predictions from the analyst because they already draw their line and try to spread it in public. But the truth is we still at a lower price, and even we still below $10k. We don't know when the situations will be changed, but many people believe that it will end soon. We are going to see the halving time soon, and that can make the price increase back, and hopefully, the price can break more than $20k, so we can make a profit again. But still, we don't know when the price will change, and we can only wait for a while.

This price seems to be manipulated, at some point 'cause I kinda think that they are following the huge issue right now for us to get the fear as well on what the current market has. Though we are at the bottom rock right now once the virus been finished we would be able to see a huge comeback from the market. Hence, we would see more claims like this, and halving hype will increase it more, in my opinion. Anyway, $100,000 is kinda big yet achievable it will be a long long way for the market to hit it, and may be this incoming halving won't be enough for it.
495  Local / Pilipinas / COVID-19 at ang market. on: March 15, 2020, 06:30:44 PM

Quote
Bitcoin was born in 2008, during the winter of our financial discontent. It has already weathered much to be here, and it seems unlikely to give up anytime soon. It will emerge from this current calamity stronger than ever. Decades are not measured in days.
source: https://twitter.com/tylerwinklevoss/status/1238846113236627461

496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: March 15, 2020, 05:56:25 PM
The market have withstood a lot in the past but what is happening right now is something unexpected, because of this the market crashed by over 50% do you think the market can recover if this scenario worsen and last for several months, what could be the possible solution here in the market.

What we need to worry is that if the humanity can overcome such virus especially the third world countries who have low count of hospitals, doctors, and poor people who can't afford to let themselves be checked, poor technologies and so on. Anyway, enough of such imagination, I am pretty sure that sooner the market would be able to have its own warm comeback up it is just that right now, people are confused of what should do, and afraid of getting infected at the same time, that is why they tend buy recklessly that leads to selling off their assets; crypto and such in order for them to buy something that could save them staying at home a while longer till virus get wiped out.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: March 14, 2020, 05:28:44 PM
Well they were been left with no chance to have a choice so what else they can do beside on staying still, and remaining silent, or may be they will commit to something different. I am pretty sure that these people who are addicted in sports betting might go else where so that they can fill the urge taking bets, may be they will try other fields out there where they are yet to explore. This circumstance may imply for people who cannot restrain themselves without betting, those people who have been in years on sports betting, those people who find life in it. But if there will be an opportunity for them finding life beside the gambling world because the current unfortunate event prevents them from pursuing it, for sure they were lucky as they got escaped the deceptive space of gambling.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MESSAGE TO BOUNTY MANAGERS on: March 14, 2020, 03:52:49 PM
I appreciated how he made the test. He totally filtered out the participants to whoever is serious, and would put an effort to simply complying with the prerequisite. Although everything can be searched in the internet but whatever it is still the effort that counts here. This step that julerz did, would surely influenced others current and future BM towards having a list of decent participants, and not to be composed by bunch whoever wants to be part of such bounty campaign. And in additional, it will even more look decent, and organize if the project itself is good to have such worthy participants, and the team behind the project are all entertaining, I mean they always respond quickly to the questions that the participants will ask.
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go? on: March 14, 2020, 03:07:11 PM
This is not looking too good for Bitcoin holders. Some scientists estimate there will be 100 million plus infected with the Coronavirus2019 in the United States, eventually.

USA is the finance and Bitcoin capital of the world.

Hi there, man. Where's the source of this estimation/claim 'cause I couldn't find anything similar in the internet. Anyway with that saying, it is not always that infected people are going to die, 'cause recovery cases counts greater than death cases and usually the people who died with the virus are the ones who have disease existing already before getting infected by COVID-19, the virus just made it worse, and in addition elderly are the most prone with such unfortunate event. But anyway I do believe that sooner this virus will be resolved, and everyone will get recovered, and as well the crypto market, it is just right now people are in panic that is why they act recklessly.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: March 14, 2020, 10:18:03 AM
To sell out ICO this days you have to give something very attractive to the audience right? This is another perfect weak point for investors, just because the project offers something very attractive doesn't mean it will work, you need to consider the use case first

Agree but sometimes you wouldn't know unless you try. On the contrary to this, the problem here is that the assurance to being a failure is totally a high, that we shouldn't disregard. So no matter how attractive, persuasive it will be, we should always embrace the fact that stuff aren't always working the way we thought it would, not even the least especially when it is totally far from reality. Thus the irony with such project is too strong. The key to avoid such failure is not to check what's behind only, but to study thoroughly the use case it has, if it is realistic, feasible, achievable with today's environment, and lastly the essentials that shouldn't let go unchecked.
