The price is continuously decreasing. I think you will end up in time. It was an illogical project. it will not last long. no explanation can convince me that you can compete with powerful miners. There's something wrong going on...
For the last few days I've monitored almost all known pools and they all seems to run low on luck.
They all get attacked at least 4 or 5 times a week, at least that the reported DDOS attacks on mine.
And all their cumulated hashrate are below 50% of the total hashrate!
Somewhere, there must be a pool with almost 50% or more of the hashrate which finds the majority of the blocks and which runs those attacks.
It smells shitty...
It sure does Someone out there is not only mining with insane amounts of hash, and seems to have the blackhat resources to attempt to slow down the rest of the miners. All the pools reporting the same thing. What gets me, is nOObs think there is something is "wrong" with the blockchain, as that is not the case |

Why making this an official thing ? Security was anyway a thing to add. Why so fuss ? They were hacked already and didn't announce ? Are money lost and can't pay anyone to make for them a wallet ?
The have official pool, but it's any good? I made few coins and received them 1 day after they were pending... will try them again, maybe it's just me.

If the guys with the $40 million in ICO cash put a 100 BTC bounty on an opensource cryptonote light node I bet it happens in less than two weeks. Alternatively the devs who can't seem to code their way our of a paper bag could push a full node mobile wallet while they find a light node solution. Stringing the "investors" along like this will lead to shit like the XPY thread in the service discussion section.

What would make you think its a Scam? Hackerone just tweeted a few days ago that ETN is one of their customers, and they work with the US Department of Defense, Starbucks, Spotify, Blockchain.info, and Coinbase. Not a scam lol |

Think about this.
Richard says that they are in talks with mobile carriers that total in 100s of millions of subscribers.
1. You could think hes lying
2. The talks could break down
I believe he is telling the truth, and believe he will strike a deal with at least some of them.
This will result in exposure to many millions of their subscribers.
The question is what effect this will have on price.
The way I look at this question is:
When ETN has many millions of users, even more that Bitcoin, I would expect ETNs MC to be in the top 5 cryptos at the very least, in terms of valuation.
This would mean taking Dashs spot at #5, and the price at $1.
Top 3, which would mean taking BCHs spot, would put ETN at $5.
I would expect ETN to take the Dash spot if ETN has the most user of all cryptos, and wouldnt be surprized if they made it to #3 at all.
So the price in the coming months when the partnership news is finalized, and the users come on board, $1 to $5

Read this latest update below: Just had this email- Electroneum Update Hi Everyone! Firstly, don't panic - your ETN Coins are safe! To say we've had a rocky start is something of an understatement, but I'd like to make sure everyone understands what is going on! As you'll probably be aware, when we launched there were hundreds of user's accounts that had been compromised. I need to re-iterate that Electroneum WAS NOT HACKED. Hundreds of user's accounts had been accessed because their email accounts had been hacked OR they had signed up to Electroneum using an email and password combination that had been hacked from ELSEWHERE (e.g. Yahoo hack, Dropbox hack, Linkedin hack etc.). We shut down our system before any transfers took place to ensure that we do everything in our power to ensure the safety and security of our user's Electroneum coins. We realized the huge amount of effort that was being put into attacking our system – so we stayed offline to add a huge amount of additional security and then engaged HackerOne, who work for the US Department of Defence, Uber, Spotify etc. They are currently working with our system on a closed, private, “challenge” to try and penetrate it. This will be finished and any bugs found fixed, within the next 3 weeks. Obviously we will be very pleased if they don't manage to gain any access during the challenge, but if they do, they will work with us to ensure any vulnerability found is removed. We are not wasting our time whilst this challenge has been carried out. Software is never finished! Think about Microsoft Word or Microsoft Windows. Barely a year goes past without some sort of incremental update to the user interface and functionality, and these are very mature items of software. We have loads of items on our road map that we are coding, so when we go live, it's with a more polished app, that has a more friendly user experience. We've always believed that our mobile miner could offset people's phone costs, but we didn't realise how interested the airtime providers themselves would be in our technology. I'm very sorry that we've had this delay after our November 1st aborted launch. Whilst the delay will be just over a month and take the NEW launch into the first or second week of December, I'd like everyone to remember that this is just a delay, and it's adding LOADS of security to the product. A worthy delay in most people's opinion. Most ICO or crowdfunding events are to raise the funds to build a product with no specific launch date. I'm sorry I missed our November launch date, but remember I had funded the development of the product before launch and we were raising funds to grow it and take it to a wider audience, faster, with a huge marketing budget. The software app is now better tested and developed than ever before, and the additional layers of security that have been added, along with the testing from HackerOne will make our commercial partnerships easier to secure. Electroneum is STILL the most exciting, and awesome project I've ever been involved with - and when it re-launches next month, it has even MORE chance of changing the way the world sees and uses cryptocurrency. Very long wait after the ICO till there is no wallet release. How many days they are going to take for the developing the blockchain. People are waiting with lot patience, they are not providing exact ETA when they release the blockchain.
The blockchain IS released. They are not "developing the blockchain" whatsoever. They are currently having Hackerone do security and penatration testing of the website, app, etc. |
