481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 07, 2014, 02:56:00 PM
Hey guys,

I'll start off by saying that I feel guilty for being both and investor, and a believer at the same time. I was on a PowerShell course last January, and for some reason I began day dreaming. I thought of a coin, a crypto-currency. One for the people of Quebec. But I'm far from a developer… I'm good at a lot of things(and very willing in general), but expert of none. I couldn't push myself to take action on my Quebec crypto idea. I ended up trying to find out if there was any action around crypto and decentralization “dans mon pays!” – in Quebec. Things led to another and I stumbled on this thread in the early pages. Needless to say I got very excited. This was better than what I had day-dreamed about.

I feel guilty because I can easily be called out as biased since I'm both invested and excited. But the truth is, I'm an enthusiast in all thing decentralized, open source and technology. I’d really like this coin to execute it’s original plan; a coin for the people of Quebec.

I came late into the crypto-game, but I managed to ride Dogecoin and Vertcoin creation. I’ve seen the community grow and get excited about these 2. I’ve seen people work together. They slowly made these coins what they are today. For some reason I just leeched on them. I couldn’t get my lazy ass to participate. So I rode on the back of their community. But Québecoin… that one struck me differently. It meant something right from the start. For this reason, I decided I would spend a little bit of my spare time on the coin. Even if it’s just 1, 2 or maybe 4 hours a week. That is time I would usually spend, or as some would say "waste", playing video games. If 5, 10 or 3000 bodies spent just that: 1 hour a week "working" on QBC, then all of a sudden we have a giant rolling stone. You know what we say: “pierre qui roule n'amasse pas mousse” – “A rolling stone gathers no moss”

In barely 2 weeks I already found a handful people that are as excited as me about QBC/Crypto/Quebec. I have been in contact with folks that showed interest in the coin.  One of which offered me a place to work on a Wiki page. This person seems to be extremely resourceful. Another one offered and created, a forum template where  the QBC community could potentially build a nest. It’s only the beginning, but I can already see the potential. I know there are more people that believe in this coin. And to those of you - I say be vocal about it! It’s much needed to counter-weight to the FUD and hate.

The coin is really nothing much at this point.  But keep in mind it is very early and this coin isn't ment to excite nobody but Quebecer, tourist, and Quebec-fans if any. It will VERY LIKELY develop in something bigger than what it currently is. How much bigger? – well that depends on all of us. We just need to act semi-quickly and get the few ones who believe - the ones who hope this coin will succeed - to assemble and participate. We need to be able to keep track of what's happening, what’s cooking and brainstorm it all.

I’m sure a lot of Quebecer and Quebec developer will jump in as soon as they’ll hear about QBC and crypto-currencies. That’s most likely going to happen during the next crypto hype bubble, and the ones after. Sure thing is we’re going to see another bubble like the November 2013 one. It’ll happen before the first QBC air-drop. We must prepare Québecoin for that. We need the word out - We need accessible, easy to understand information - We need Québecoin to be, and stay, on the radar. If we do that, the right people will have but no choice to cross road with us at some point in the next 10 years.

I’m still sitting on my IPO share, and I plan nothing but to keep it warm under my phat glutes yo. I’m planning to keep it until it can be useful to a project that involves QBC. I’m also planning to get more(way more), and I have been. But I’m not in this to get rich. I’m in because I’m excited about technology and advancement. I’m also very curious as to what the future will look like. I want to be present as it shapes up and transforms itself.

QBC will see better days.

That - or - we can just sit here, complain and troll.  Grin

TBH i invested in the IPO with the intention of dumping it after the release, but i had to wait a delay of 3 days to receive my coins for dumping (no intention of holding, this coin brings nothing new, no marketing either).

If i received it at launch i'd have made 10x or more profit, unfortunately by the time i got it profit was only 3x, i unloaded enough to cover expenses.

I lost hope in most altcoins and hope many will soon die from 50%, mismanagement, hacks, and all the attack so that only the best will survive.

That said, i read something about people in quebec/montreal getting free coins ? how do i claim them?

edit: i really think marketing should be left out of the coins, this marketing shitstorm came in fall of last year when all the trolls and micro cap penny stock scammers started getting in on this.

You dumped 1029 QBC, no big deal, I still love you Grin.

483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 06, 2014, 12:11:42 AM
Bonjour a tous,

Mai= expédition sirop d'érable + verrouillage des coins pré minés + ...

Bonne soirée a tous.

This is a nice way of saying what most (if not all) of the Québecoin community thinks. I mean, read through pages 1-40 again. It'll just remind you how potent the coin is (or was?). Then comes the the launch phase, where it gets a bit awkward; at first the windows wallet gets compiled for a bounty, then the Mac wallet... before JP goes Missing In Action.

There could be thousand of excuses, but unfortunately, all of the ones that come to my mind are FUD. Maybe he's waiting for the value to go as low as possible so he(and his friend/familiarly) can grab some cheap QBC, before unleashing his talent again. Maybe he's just celebrating. Blowing the 9.8K$~ IPO with his wife and smoking crack-cocaine while bathing in 20 gallons of maple syrup. This is the internet - everything is possible.

Time will tell. But we can all agree it would of been awesome if everything just kept going as they were during the IPO.

Hi guys nice to see you all, I have noticed that this is one of the most complete coins out there at the moment and for sure its going to pick up nicely,  nice to meet the community and glad to be mining it.

Bienvenue aboard!

Anyone know if MapleCoinProject and EmbargoCoin are related to this coin? (QBC) https://github.com/owlhooter?tab=activity

Not directly related to QBC as far as I know.

Wow! Actually rank: 115 on Mintpal !!

KEEP VOTING
https://www.mintpal.com/voting

Awesome! QBC has almost doubled its votes in just some hours! Come on. You can vote several times a day!

By the way, I guess that a multipool can be very profitable for the associated trader, so if JP gets to create one QBC multipool, it could be a good way to get a good trader too.

For your information everyone, you can use http://www.online-stopwatch.com/countdown-timer/ and try to vote every hours. I've been doing that!

Well, about locking up the premine coins , still no update?

JP did give a small update. Read the last couple pages.

If there's anyone interested and has Android experience and everything set up already, let me know and you'll  be able to claim the 0.5 BTC bounty + the QBC bounty as a bonus.

You should set up a donation address just for the android wallet. Those willing to throw in some extra BTC for the bounty could do it.

I'll copy everyone's donation in BTC up to a total of 50$ US.

  • Bique Nique is setting up a wiki Smiley and I'm about to start putting information in it. But I can only spend a couple hours a week into this. Still! like I've been saying it; small step at a time.
  • I've also got a message from another QBC'er. I think he could get forums up and runnig. I'm waiting for his contact details. We'll see where that goes Cheesy.
  • We have you, on stand-by for a geekbecois article.
  • JP keeps talking about a QBC multi-pool.

So we have this going for us, which is nice.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 01, 2014, 08:15:56 PM
Your activity on the thread post launch was detrimental. Do you have a time frame for these upcoming projects? Like someone mentioned the first 3 weeks after launch are super critical to a coins success.

I have to agree with Kreativekyrpto...

I've been in contact with a few other Quebecer, and I'm not the only enthusiast ready to make QBC something. But you can't just do that... I feel bad seeing FUD being spread about you and the coin. But you literally disappeared from the map for 3 full days, no notification, no post, not a single word across any of the social platform. And you came back with no explanation at all.  Undecided

This goes to re-enforce that QBC will need to have a back-up dev. Cause if you get hit by a bus, we may never find out. Shocked

I missed the IPO. I'll catch up mining at such a low hashes.

That's the spirit!

Hi,

I just joined the forum, been mining QBC for a couple days now even if I don't know much about cryptocurrency.

I'm an IT Systems Integrator in the Gatineau, QC area.

I have access to a fast hosting server in IWeb data center in Montreal where I could setup a quick bilingual Wordpress and PHPbb for free (of course QBC donations would be nice)

Just let me know and I can setup everything within an hour or so.

one of us...one of us...ONE OF US

Another Gatinois! Cheesy Welcome in the Crypto currency world.

Any idea if there's such a thing as storage w/ electricity and internet somewhere in Gatineau? I'll be moving in Val-Des-Monts this june, and I wont have internet for a couple weeks (maybe even months). All of my 11 GPUs would be sitting in a basement not doing anything until service a provider show up in that region...

I'm disappointed to say Poloniex (Busoni) has not responded to me so far, I saw that others had contacted them too. I think we may need a bit more volume to get them to put in the effort. So first step is still the Multipool for automated buying of QBC.

Any more details? Is it going to be hosted in Quebec? Or are you just paying for the multi pool to be built as you want it to be?

I think I can successfully lock down the premine within two weeks, I'll be giving my suggestions soon and we'll be able to determine the best course of action. As I've stated before I have absolutely no intention of touching the premine and I love the idea of locking it down.

I've tried to kick off this discussion with you before, but you don't seem to care to much. I understand you don't owe any of us anything tho.

Even thought I'm worried about it, I feel like you should not rush the pre-mine lock too fast. The discussion should start as soon as possible, but the lock down could wait and kick-in at strategic time. Don't you think? Lets just assume you had the pre-mine locked today... No body would really give a fuck, they are busy with other things right now lol. At least that's my opininon.

I'm not so sure it has to be one or the other. Getting on a smaller exchange would probably just take an email from the dev. For something like poloniex or a larger exchange, it'd just be a bounty offer on the main page of this thread. Like 5 min. of work?

I'll admit it won't matter much if other stuff isn't done, but trying to get on another exchange won't affect multipool or android stuff in a negative way.

What kind of bounty you think it would take? There's 3000 QBC for the Wallet and it has no traction at all... What kind of bounty would Busoni require? 10, 100, 1000$?
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: April 30, 2014, 08:16:51 PM
I think coinedupis the best place for this coin.

JP, what will you do/buy with IPO coins ? Maybe, it could be interesting to buy vote on cryptsy...

As much as I dislike saying it, he may wish to offer a bounty for poloniex.

Offer a bounty to get listed on one of the bigger exchanges. I believe I have seen poloniex claim it from other coins. Yeah, it's basically paying for a coin to get listed, and no idea if they'd even take it. But it's a lot easier than buying votes on mintpal/cryptsy, and must be cheaper.

Or maybe just leave things be and concentrate on the multipool. In the meantime, there's always lowball bids. Wink

This! Multipool and Android wallet before being bothered too much with exchanges.

As I stated previously, I can have articles published on geekbecois.com. I beleive it is the right audience for QBC.
@Bique Nique and another user working on the infographic, please let me know when the content is ready Smiley

I forgot about that! We really need to begin documenting our ideas and opportunity somewhere we can discuss them without too much brackground noise.

What kind of number (readers) are we talking about here? And is it a 1 time deal?

Here hopeing JP comes out of sleep see if he's got directions for us.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: April 30, 2014, 11:03:55 AM
Regarding the article once we have The android wallet we could easily have merchants accept QBC using the wallet like a Point of Sale program.

Also JP after speaking with many people in crypto I think getting that premine locked up for the airdrops needs to be priority one. In addition I guess some people have issue with homie pouring one out to scrypt miners. I personally like it but the consensus found it not professional.

Just my input and what I've gathered.

Yes, hopefully the Android wallet gets release at the right time. It would definitely be an incentive for merchant adoption if they can use their phone or tablet as a payment terminal, just like Square, but for Quebecoins.

Premine locked? You mean, not giving away coins from the premine?

I’m not sure how familiar you are with crypto-currencies. To put it shortly, the pre-mine is the most important attribute of Québecoin (in my opinion). It is what will make Québecoin an extreme success, or another “scam” coin. Close to 50% of the coin have already been mined, and are “out there”. That 20 million some coins. After 2 years, Bitcoin’s value went from a couple cents, to 30$. Let’s just assume Québecoin gets only a fraction of that success, the pre-mine could be used to “cash-in” some interesting amount of money, all while throwing QBC’s value right into the dumpster and kiss it goodbye – obviously.

Early on the thread (before launch), JPGagnon and some other folks on this forum discussed the possibility to use a bank vault to secure the pre-mined coins. Locking it down in a way that it could not be used for anything else, except for the air-drop, and at the right time. Québecoin is not the first “nation”-coin, but it is (as far as we know) the first coin to bring up the idea of locking the pre-mined coins. I have this very strong feeling that, if Québecoin was to successfully locked down the pre-mine, the news talking about it would bring a LOT, and I mean a LOT of attention the coin from the crypto-enthusiast. Coins with pre-mine and IPO are mostly “taged” as scam right now. Reason being the whole hype generated by the “pre-mined coin will be distributed to everyone at X location, or with Y condition” was used to pump the price very high, before the whales/bag holder dumped them.

We have yet to see a nation-coin truly succeed. Locking the pre-mine would add some kind of guarantees (if it was undeniably locked-down) that investor will not get burned by a developer going lunatic.

I wont double post so I'll just leave this here. I stumbled on this video last night thought I'd share: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R43OKYmGbhU

Ha! ha! N'en mets pas trop! Wait to see the results, but I hope our readers will feel the same emotional appeal! Cheesy

To your question as to know if there is a place where enthusiasts discuss ideas and priorities, I'd answer THIS forum is precisely the place! But it is a fact that we need a place to discuss in French, if we want Quebecers to get involved. What do people here think? Should we refer French speaking enthusiasts to this bitcointalk thread, or create a new French thread?  But, I guess, any enthusiasts' initiative is welcome. Just post your created Google or Facebook group, blog or twitter right here, and you'll surely get some followers.

Wink. I’ve already suggested that we get a FRA/ENG forum, and an IRC chat dedicated to Québecoin, and I think it’s coming; JP added “forum – coming soon” to the QBC.io webpage. There’s already the French version of this launch thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552630.0:, but most of the attention was concentrated on the English one so far.

JP, can you share the addres containing the 21,000,000 pre-mined coins? Could make people feel a little bit safer knowing they are still "there", myself included  Roll Eyes.

The 21 million were generated at block 1 and paid to QiKMtW3jCKLvcqNSZSYvR8jG9L7cGF59v8

http://cryptexplorer.com/address/QXBSRAcSZCiaxEoxcRMLuahtqM2TNJE4HV

Is it normal the the pre-mine is not longer 50%? I didn't think the premine would be used for anything but air-drop.

By the way, I found this webpage/tool for open crowd translation... This could be very usefull.

I just spent 20 minutes translating and commenting for the blockchain.info project. Smiley

nice... ipo gone, dev gone... same shit different day

Lets not jump to comclusions now. He could've been hit by a truck Tongue

It's only been a couple of days since he last posted, so it's not that bad. If it's this time next week, and he hasn't showed up once here ... then I'd worry.

I'm not so concerned over the premined coins at the moment. Simple reason is, what would the dev do with them even if he wanted to dump? Bittrex prices stink and volume is like nothing. There is nobody to dump the coins to.

But it'd be nice if the dev announced more about his plans for small local giveaways, and distribute some about. Airdrops and normal nation coin stuff is what kept people interested .... if nobody has the coin locally, nobody knows about it locally ... then it simply won't work out at all.

Muniti coin had a nice idea when they gave away some USB sticks with their logo stamped on them (I assume to local residents) It might be something for the dev to consider. Or print out some coupons with paper wallets, and give some of those out locally.

Pre-mined is definitely not something to worry about. But transparency being JP's trademark, I beleive the pre-mine address/amount should be displayed on the qbc.io webpage.

As for the local give-away, there a lot more work to be done because like I've said it before; there’s very little crypto-action in Quebec right now – very little people know about this new technology, let alone the power of it. We have a lot of teaching to do for the local give-away to mean anything anything.

  • Bique Nique posted very promising stuff a couple pages ago. I’ve been trying to contact him here and on his website – but I’m not receiving any replies.
  • As we speak, the folks over at BitcoinEmbassy.ca (in  Montreal) are working on some Bitcoin French documentation.
  • This will be very helpful. JP said he’s got stuff going on…
  • Some are pushing for Mintpal voting (not sure if JP gave his opinion on this or not).

My biggest concern is that we may be wasting time by not concentrating the effort. A Bitcointalk thread isn’t the greatest place to be organized…

I just came across a cool website: http://www.dogecache.com/

"Dogecache is an innovative app inspired by the principles of geocaching: an outdoor recreational activity where participants use GPS and other navigational techniques to find containers containing small prizes left by other adventurers. There is only one caveat: you must leave something in order to take something. Dogecache puts an exciting spin on this recreational activity by embracing dogecoin. Rather than hunt for physical caches, the user hunts for virtual dogecaches that other explorers have left behind. The app is entirely location dependent, as you find dogecoins near you by dropping some in your current location. That is, the more dogecoins you drop, the larger your search radius is and the more likely you are to find other deposits. The tradeoff lies in the fact that you can only pick up other users’ dogecoins, and dogecoins you drop can only be picked up by other people. This helps encourage people to share their wealth."

This system can be interesting to promote QBC from people to people, and can be an excellent way for merchant to their promote product and service.

For example, a merchant can leave several small cache in front of their store for a buyer to claim it and exchange it in store (as some a form of rebate).

Nice idea for the wish list. Imagine a Québecoin geocaching promotion that leaves Québecoins in nooks and crannies all over Québec! I'm sure that Québec's Ministry of Tourism would be interested. Might even get Québecoin a linkie at Bonjour Québec.

Unfortunately, as the tem "wish list" indicates, I don't have the programming skills to make it happen. That's what I get for plunging in with BTC but no technical background to speak of. Tongue

The community needs a manager!
Teamwork rather than go it alone!

Asking for teamwork!

Yeah, we need somewhere less wild to coordinate the effort and prioritize. But hang in there, there's really no stress to be had. Nobody should be losing their hair over the price/volume right now. QBC is set and operating, now we can just make it better slowly, but surely.

Hi everyone,

One of my friend and I are planning to write a rather comprehensive series of articles in French to promote Québecoin in Québec.

We were really excited by the announcement of the coin. It was a relief to see JPGagnon's brilliant effort to put up a credible cryptocurrency for Québec, in a way that very effectively promotes the national identity of Quebecers and supports the rationale for them having their own crypto currency, while cleverly keeping away from any ideological or political justifications -- which is, in Québec, a véritable tour-de-force in my view. As JPGagnon brilliantly supports, Québec is definitely a fertile land to grow a national cryptocurrency. He's actually bringing to reality what most crypto-enthusiasts have been thinking of, in a way that could hardly have been better executed.

We'd be more than glad if the community would feed us with some indications, material, ideas or references that would help make those articles interesting to the average Quebecer, or if anyone is willing to get involved in authoring or co-authoring one of these articles. Here is the approximate order of the subjects we want to cover in the series.

1. Présentation du Québecoin / Presentation of Québecoin
Many people have already heard of Bitcoins in Quebec, but in general the public knowledge is rather poor about it. And as someone already stated here, the medias are rather stiff about it and generally emphasize the unreliable/risky part of if. The goal of the first article is to bring the attention on the fact that Quebec now has it's own currency, and use this as a lever to educate the readers about the fact that Bitcoin has already multiplied in many other cryptocurrencies, each with their own particularities. We would also introduce the concept of regional currencies, making the parallel with Auroracoin (Iceland's response to their financial collapse had pretty good publicity on social networks in Québec), and I'm thinking of including a reference to the Mazacoin as well. Quebecers are generally very sensitive about native issues, the defense of the rights and equity, and the other cultural identities. I would, at this stage, certainly need some explanations on what is and how IPO works, and what it implies for Québecoin in particular.

2. Pourquoi les cryptomonnaies? / Why cryptocurrencies?
I'll leave the redaction of this article to my friend, who has already made a lot of research in the past on the banking system as part of his anthropology studies. The idea is to compare the cryptocurrencies with the traditional national fiat currencies. Cryptocurrencies are a very effective tool to approach the very basic facts about the banking system and the way it issues money, which are completely ignored by the vast majority of people. Hopefully, this article can help open their eyes on who issues the fiat money and how the cryptocurrencies are questioning this, offering alternatives to traditional trust money. This would also allow exposing some perspective with the reality of Québec and the Québecoin.

3. Crypto 101 (Cryptomonnaies pour les nuls / Cryptocurrencies for dummies)
The purpose of this article is to inform on the way cryptocurrencies actually work. I'll start by stating that cryptography has very ancient roots, and exposing, in a way easy to understand, the very central cryptographic theorems on which crypto currencies rely: the fact that « anything that can be done with a trusted authority can also be done without it » through cryptography, and maybe some vulgarization of the concept of zero-knowledge proof (some ideas about it and how to explain how it plays in cryptomoney would definitely be welcome). This part would advocate that cryptocurrencies are based on rigorous scientifical facts. I would then brush a quick history of the theories on crypto money, so to show that bitcoin didn't pop out from nowhere, but was the first effective application of long-lasting research (any insights welcome). Then I'll jump into more technical stuff. Having read the bitcoin whitepaper recently, I was surprised how easy it actually was to understand. I think it wouldn't be that hard, from there, to make the basics understandable to anybody showing a little will to understand. From there we could trace the history of bitcoin, mining pools, the multiplication of cryptocurrencies, the ASIC frenzy, the introduction of Scrypt and Litecoin, and finally Darkcoin and X11, leading to Quebecoin, but now that I'm talking about it, I realize that this article could easily be split in 2 or 3 articles!

4. Utilisation du porte-monnaie / Using the wallet
Now that the Quebecoin and cryptocurrencies no longer have secrets for the average reader, he's ready to start using a Quebecoin wallet. Basically, this will be a concise tutorial on how to install the wallet, receive and send coins. This is where, for the average reader, cryptomoney stops being an abstract, fuzzy concept, and materializes. Of course, installing a wallet with no money to trade won't probably be a very empowering exercise, so at this stage, it would be cool to organize some giveaways, for example, sending a Quebecoin to anyone registering to a community site, installing the wallet and providing a valid address, while suggesting Quebecoin addresses of Québec organisms to which they can send some back, completing both transactions while helping some causes of their choice. Such an operation would enforce both their feeling of empowerment and the sense of community behind the currency.

5. Comment "miner" le Québecoin / How to "mine" Québecoin
A central property and innovation of cryptocurrency is the way it is emitted. It is important that this concept is well understood by people, and to make it easy for them to start mining the coin themselves. This brings the "empowerment" feeling of the currency one notch higher. So this would take the form of a tutorial as well, bringing concise and immediate information on mining, usage of CPU and GPU, how to install and configure a miner, how to register to a pool and start mining right away. The goal is to make mining accessible to anyone who can use a mouse and can be guided to run a shell command. For this article, I'm thinking of using SuchPool as a reference, since it is, to my knowledge, the only serious Québecoin local pool whose servers are actually located in the province. I can link to other pools as well. (Comments and ideas welcome.)

6. Comment échanger ses Québecoins / How to exchange your Québecoins
Money isn't money if you can't spend it. If we want Quebecers to adopt the coin, at some point they will need to be able to spend them to buy stuff. This implies either: 1. merchants that accept them; 2. the ability to exchange them against other cryptocurrencies accepted by merchants; 3. the ability to exchange them for fiat cash that can be spent anywhere. At the rate of approximately one article per week, this would be a couple months from now. Hopefully, there would already be at least a few merchants that accept Québecoins. There is already Bittrex where you can exchange your Québecoins against other coins. As how to exchange coins for cash, we still need to work on it. I've been discussing this with my friend. I think it wouldn't be too hard to set up an online geolocalized trading system to help people meet up in order to buy or sell the coins; this would be a nice moment to introduce such website. Any idea on how we could put this up welcome. Such an infrastructure and the presence of local traders are actually an essential condition to promote acceptance of Québecoins by merchants, which is the aim of the next article.

7. Comment accepter les Québecoins / How to accept Québecoins
The goal of this article is to answer quickly and comprehensively to questions Québec merchants may have on the technical requirements to start accepting Québecoins as well as the financial risk involved. Supported by the corpus of previous articles, I think this would be able to address any hesitation a merchant would have, given that he is actively looking for these answers.

We are still considering options as where we're going to first publish these articles. I think we need to consider where they will get most exposure to the appropriate audience. The idea is to make Quebecoin known to a larger audience while providing sufficient material for motivating the most curious of them. Each article might even benefit from being published on different media, depending on the subject. And of course, this should not limit the articles from being freely republished from website to website, in order to reach different niches. Being busy with other projects as well, we wouldn't deny any bounty or compensation offer, neither, although this is not our core motivation.

I would have like to already have published the first article in the series, but couldn't actually find the necessary time recently. On the other hand, taking advice from the community before we start is not a bad idea in itself. I will probably begin the redaction of the first article in the beginning of next week, and my friend will also have more time for putting up the second one next week, so any advice will be warmly welcomed. (Sorry for the rather large post.)

Wow, that's ambitious. Smiley
