481  Economy / Speculation / Re: This pump is not sustainable. on: January 04, 2017, 07:21:56 PM
I'm really not sure if it is a pump this time.
I suspect it more to be a reaction on the global acceptance of more and more companies.
Of course, the last two weeks price went extremly high, and smaller drops can not be avoided.
Simply because some people want to withdrawl a bit of their profit.
But the huge crash some expect, I do not see it.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: January 04, 2017, 07:15:53 PM
From the way I read it, dad has already made up his mind.
I don't think there is much you can do about that.
But you can explain to him, that your money is yours, and you can use it the way you think it's best.
Maybe you even have bitcoin as an investment. Adults like the word 'investment' for some reason.
He might accept that you use your money as investment.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future looks fantastic, kids love Bitcoin on: December 31, 2016, 08:45:23 AM
My kids love bitcoin, they have had wallets for 3 years and have introduced the friends to the concept. They are all swapping bitcoin and exchanging things for it.  It reminds me of the ted talk by andreas which i have posted below. " try explaining KYC to these kids when their 18", lol  Grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AVRVfw-8nE

Edit: watch about 17:00 for exact quote.
It seems that it is happening the same as happened in my life . I explained about Bitcoin to my brother and friends , Now there are making deals with each other with BTC and also advertising the Bitcoin in our community indirectly .
I hope one day will come in my city where everyone will accept and make deal with BTC .
same is the case in my area, when i started using bitcoin there were very few people who were using bitcoin and majority of people even do not know about it, now i have started advertising bitcoin in my community and getting a very good response from the community, hope that very soon people will staring dealing in bitcoin in my area.
My region is still developing area, at least when it comes to things concerning crypto currencies.
But recently I saw a group of teenagers, and one of them had a bitcoin sticker on his smartphone.
It really seems like parts of the new generation grow up using bitcoin, and that is a very promising developement!
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Forever: 26.04 BTC Burned In 2016 on: December 27, 2016, 03:34:12 PM
I somehow like it that bitcoins can be burned.
Because the total number of bitcoins is fixed, every burned bitcoin increases the worth of the rest of the bitcoins.
Maybe not now, but with time this is going to have a notable effect to the availability of bitcoin.
485  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBTC.xyz - 200 to 5000 Satoshi / 60 mins on: December 20, 2016, 07:18:37 PM
To me the faucet worked fine.
I'm not sure about this url shortener, but well, at least there are no antibots I had to click.
On captcha had to be solved, that's it.
200 sat minimum to faucetsystems is good as well.
Thanks!
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: December 18, 2016, 06:55:19 PM
I'm relatively sure that a ban of btc will not come in any country. Simply because every government understands that this is technically not possible.
What I can imagine are high taxes on buying or selling bitcoins.
That is something that lies within the powers a government has, and what can actually be reached.
If you put those taxes high enough, you can navigate the use of bitcoin in a country. I think that would be better than banning bitcoins, for all sides.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: December 11, 2016, 07:19:32 PM
Losing is part of successfully trading. If you treat losing as part of trading then you are an experienced trader.
Yes losing is part of trading but keep in mind that even in gambling
or some other are profitable there are some fear. You have just to control your emotion and you know how to deal with it.

True, it is part of trading to be lose especially when you are beginner yet do not lose hope because maybe you just in a wrong timing, and
mostly is in gambling never expect that you will win. Just always keep your moves safe.

Fear shows a person that he is in a situation where he does not feel comfortable.
When fear comes up with trading, the reason for that will probably be a combination of having too much money involved, and too few experience in trading.
I would say it's best to start small. Small money, not too much tradings. And always keep in mined that not everything in trading can be predictet.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the big whales are not cashing out? on: December 11, 2016, 05:59:04 PM
Almost all the predictions I have read in the last time point to a raise in bitcoin price next year.
I think that whales would not be whales if they didn't konw the right time to buy, or to sell.
So if none of them is selling, it's another sign for me that we can expect 2017 to be a good year for bitcoin!
489  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: December 10, 2016, 04:11:09 PM
Bitcoin is a protocol that was born from a small community and has grown fast since. There are a lot of things you can do to help Bitcoin to spread and improve over time. Bitcoin payments are growing day by day and one day bitcoin will be one of the best form of payment. Bitcoin provides freedom in paying online
Still very little time has passed to say about the rampant popularity. Probably only a few percent of the total population are familiar with bitcoin.
Honestly i still deem that few percents is just too much for the percentage of bitcoin users amongst human's population in this world. the number might have decimal. Though few percents doesn't mean it's too low if you're comparing it to another currencies which is not so popular like USD, few percents could mean millions of people because the current population are now about billions
I think its incredible that so few people use bitcoin! Imagine the potential there is!!
Billions of possible bitcoin users are out there. Each one of them thinking about ways to earn more money, or invest the money they have in a mor profitable way!
And bitcoin can provide a simple solution for that.
I have no idea how high the price for one bitcoin will get some day, but I can imagine it will be extraordinary!
But I would wish for a solid growth! No bubble building!
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum ? on: December 10, 2016, 04:04:31 PM
It is a dishonour to Bitcoin to compare Ethereum with it, I'm not trying to ridicule Ethereum but it has miles to go before it attain Bitcoin status, there is a reason why Bitcoin is valued $770 and ETH $8.50

Bitcoin is limited to 21 millions while 16 millions are already mined.
I don't know if eth is limited (I think it's not), and there are already 87 millions mined in way less time than bitcoin.
So comparing those two in a matter of price per coin does not work.
It's more the market capitalization that count's I think. And here leads bitoin as well with a big big advance!
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 10, 2016, 03:49:56 PM
What I like best at the moment is the savings part of bitcoin.
Every time I buy coins and make a payment with it, that what I bought too much goes into my savings wallet.
And due to the increase of price this amount is growing.
The best part: Nobody else than me knows about it!
492  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: bitcoinbar.xyz relaunched with FaucetHub.io on: December 10, 2016, 03:11:20 PM
To me everything worked fine with this faucet.
I had to solve two captchas and after that three antibots had to be clicked.
I'm not really a big fan of this kind of antibot because recognizing the differences between the letters and putting them in the right order is always time consuming.
Payment came on faucethub as promised.
Thank you!
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: San Francisco Metro System Hacked with Ransomware [Paid $70,000 in Bitcoin] on: December 10, 2016, 03:02:23 PM
Recently the San Francisco Metro System got Hacked with Ransomware resulting in free rides.

Quote
It is yet not clear exactly who was responsible for the attack (besides a pseudonym "Andy Saolis"), but according to local media reports, the agency's computers were being held by ransomware until the MUNI paid the equivalent of more than $73,000 in Bitcoin.

What do you think guys?
Isn't it bad for the bitcoin to be known as a bad thing in our lives?
*If it was posted before move to the correct board.

This is good and bad for bitcoin.

It`s bad becasue hackers use it and it`s good for the same reason. Grin Just kidding.

By the way, what exactly is a ransomware?Malware that asks for ransome?

Ransomware is a software that encrypts your hard drive and every other attached storage device.
In order to get access to your data again, the software asks you to pay a certain amount (usually in bitcoin).
After that you get a key that decrypts your drives again.
At least that is what the software tells you. If you really get it, I would doubt that.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: December 10, 2016, 08:59:46 AM
Personally I think btc does not have any competition with any of the coins available in the market. This is the fact that 1000's coin come and go which does not have nay value today. But still BTC has the highest market cap and prices are also reasonably place during the year.
I think that the altcoins are important to keep the traders busy.
It does not really matter what altcoin there is in my opinion. They all get created, traded against bitcoin for a while and disappear then slownly again.
And during the time they are traded, they create demand for bitcoin. And every demand for bitcoin is a good thing.
495  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier? on: December 09, 2016, 05:56:02 PM
I would say as well that we will hit that point during the first half of 2017.
Always under the assumption that nothing unexpected happens in the crypto world.
The trend is clearly pointing upwards, the mass of people who have not come in contact with bitcoin yet is immense, so big chances of growth.
And there is no possible competition for bitcoin in sight.
All that leads me to the conclusion of a long and steady growth of bitcoin price.

496  Economy / Economics / Re: Italian Banks-Crash is Coming on: December 09, 2016, 04:16:07 PM
I don't think that is going to happen.
That is a risk the european governments and the EZB will not take, despite everything they say in advance.
Letting those banks crash would be the same as ending the Euro, and everybody knows that.
And that is why the EZB pumps every month 80 billions into the market to buy bad credits.
If that won't help they will take other measures, but they will not let those banks fall.
497  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: BTC Faucet: Claim 100 Satoshis Every 360 Minutes on: December 09, 2016, 04:09:44 PM
To me the faucet worked really fine.
The design is simple and clear, reminds me of one of the old faucetbox scripts.
There is just one captcha to solve, no antibot or anything like that.
Payment goes to a faucethub address as promised.
The timer to click the "get" button is a little long. But with everything else I am pleased.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin is one new step for sucess. on: December 09, 2016, 03:48:44 PM
I would say that bitcoin is an opportunity.
What people do with it, that's up to them. Compared to cash money it's more complicated and technical to handle.
So I think the younger generatiuon will have it easier there.
I really hope that they will use it, not only to transfer money, but to create something with it. And then it will be their success!
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 08, 2016, 07:14:58 PM
My wife always opens the mail first, that includes the credit cards bills.
I could not make a single purchase online without her knowing what it was.
Searching a way to get the power over my money back, or at least a small fraction of it, I found bitcoin!
It's perfect, since she has no interest in technical stuff.
When I buy a few coins now, I just have to tell her its for something cryptic, then she roles her eyes and switches into the not-interested-mode.
I'm so happy!!!
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: i bought 1000eth when 12$ .buy or sell now? what's the future? price is 6$ !! on: December 08, 2016, 03:31:54 PM
but even with a big pump at this point it may be even impossible to reach $12 anymore. this is the story with all the pump and dump coins, you can only pump them so many times. and if you look at the highs they are always decreasing over time, each pump smaller than the last.

who would've predicted how alts behaved at the start of this year? it's been officially insane. no telling what they might get up to next. it could well be all over or just about to warm up for all we know. there's no rhyme or reason to any of it. eth absolutely categorically did not justify a one thousand million dollar market cap. it managed it anyway.

I don't understand any of this either anymore.
ETH up to 12, then down to 6 dollar, now rcovering to about 8.5 Dollars.
Maybe there were  just (too) many forks and rumors and this is all psychology.
I have never understood psychology.
